Objects : This study was attempted to evaluate the body image and the self concept in high risk adolescents for eating disorders. Methods 589 middle school students were investigated with EAT(Eating Attitude Test) and BITE(Bulimic Investigatory Test Edinburgh) and Schematic Figures(Child/Adolescent Version) and Piers-Harris Self-Concept Scale. According to the score of EAT and BITE, three high risk groups(high EAT group, high BITE group, high EAT & BITE group) were identified. Three groups were examined in terms of sex, weight, self concept and body image. Each group was EAT group, BITE group, EAT & BITE group Results: The results of the study were as follows : 1) EAT & BITE group showed greatest body image distortion. 2) BITE group and EAT & BITE group showed lower score in self concept scale. 3) The majority of EAT group were boys, BITE group and EAT & BITE group were mostly girls. 4) All three high risk groups, especially Bin group, revealed overweight compared with normal control group. Conclusions : High BITE group and high EAT & BITE group could be considered as significantly high risk groups for eating disorders, showing overweight, severe body image distortion, and poor self concept. EAT score alone seemed not to discriminate high risk adolescents for eating disorders.
The purposes of this study were to explore the perceived risk of smart clothing, to classify consumers by risk perception of smart clothing, and to investigate the differences among the segmented groups in regard to the evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. In addition, the relationship among perceived risk, evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing were examined. A questionnaire was administered to 338 male and female subjects aged from 17 to 50. Analysis was performed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation analysis. The results showed that the perceived risk of smart clothing was composed of 4 factors: economic risk, social risk, functional risk and physical risk. Consumers were classified into four groups: high risk perception group, low economic risk perception group, low functional risk perception group, and low social risk perception group. ANOVA showed that there were significant differences among four groups regard to the evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. High risk perception group most highly evaluated the newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. There were positive correlation among the perceived risks, the evaluation of the newness and innovativeness of smart clothing.
As smartphone usage has increased recently, so has smartphone addiction. Many of the smartphone users, however, do not even recognize the risk of smartphone addiction. In this experiment, smartphone users have been categorized into two groups by smartphone addiction measure (S-measure) developed by 2011 National Information Society Agency (NIA): A high risk group and a normal group. The changes of brain waves have been observed when the subjects were watching emotional videos of anger, sadness, happiness, and fear. The results show that the values of FP1 and FP2 (frontal lobe) theta band of the high risk group have been measured to be high, which indicate anxiety disorder. Although happiness and fear videos showed no difference between these groups, sadness and anger videos showed significantly different results for these groups: the brain waves of the high risk group showed higher values than those of the normal group. Therefore, this experiment showed that the high risk group takes feelings of sadness and anger more sensitively than the normal group.
This study was conducted on workers in high risk groups. And the effects of improper equipment wear on the recognition of safety accidents and job exhaustion. In addition, the mediating effect of the recognition of safety accident risk was identified. The results of the analysis are as follows. Because high-risk workers wear inappropriate equipment, emotions are depleted and personalization problems arise. And the mediating effect of the recognition of safety accident risk. Therefore, there is a need to provide generous support to ensure that high-risk workers are able to work properly in hazardous workplaces, so that they can wear appropriate equipment to defend the risks.
This study was undertaken to determine .the identify the relation between the high risk mother and their baby which then allows the nurse to assess and plen for the delivery of optimal health care to the high risk groups. This study was carried out between January through December 1978. This study sample consisted of 300 pregnant women who visited Ewha womens hospital during this time. The method used to for the collection of data was an“Antepartum High-risk pregnancy scoring form. The questionair included 4 categories: 1) reproductives history 2) Associated conditions 3) pre-sent pregnancy and 4) total risk score . The bind are as follows: 1. The frequency of high risk pregnancy women 149(49.7%) was highest. 2. In the investigation sample high risk factors were related to hypertension and toremia. 3. There was a difference in the high risk scores and newborn babys scores (r = 0.610). 4. Relationship between high risk pregnancy women and least of pregnant women was highest prenatal mortality. Implications of positive assessing of high risk factors by MCH nurse and community health nurses.
In this study, the risk level of architectural works was calculated by applying work period and number of input workers based on accidents records from 2012 to 2014 and the architectural works were divided into four groups(High-High, High-Low, Low-High, Low-Low) according to risk levels of fatal accidents and loss time accidents. And then questionnaire on the job stress level of workers was performed for 670 workers working in the architectural work using Korean Occupational Stress Questionnaire Form developed by KOSHA. And then the relationship between the risk level and job stress level of four groups was analyzed. Results showed that 1) risk levels of fatal and loss time accidents applied by work period and input workers were analyzed to be different with those of previous research based on the number of fatal and loss time accidents; 2) job stress level of workers has been analyzed to have a significant relationship with the risk level of fatal and loss time accident; 3) specially, the average of job stress level of 'HH(High-High)' group was higher than those of other groups; 4) among the subfactors of job stress, interpersonal conflict, job insecurity, organizational system and lack of reward were analyzed to be key factors to affect the risk level.
Background: There is considerable controversy concerning the most appropriate surgical treatment of patients with DTC. Objectives: In order to selection of the appropriate surgical treatment for DTC, we have analyzed the outcome of the different types of surgical treatment in low and high risk groups of DTC. Materials and Methods: From January 1968 through december 1980, a total of 71 patients with DTC were treated surgically at our institution. According to Cady and Rossi's scoring system, the patients were divided into low risk and high risk groups. Results: Seventy percent of patients were defined as low risk group with a 4% death rate whereas 30% of patients at high risk with a death caused by thyroid cancer in 38%(p<0.05). There was no difference in mortality between ipsilateral lobectomy and total thyroidectomy in both low and high risk groups(p>0.1). Conclusion: In our study, total thyroidectomy was not benefit in high risk group. These results suggested that total thyroidectomy must be selected carefully and based on clear evidence of major improvement in outcome or absence of other suitable surgical approaches. However, follow up study of more cases will be needed for accurate determination of the efficacy of total thyroidectomy in high risk group.
Objectives: This study aimed to determine whether the self-rated health (SRH) could be a risk factor for compulsion. Methods: Data related with compulsion and SRH information were collected from 532 young adults aged over 20 years in South Korea. The distribution of the high and low SRH groups was analyzed using the chi-square test, whereas difference in quality of life (QoL) was analyzed using the t-test. Logistic regression was used to analyze the odds ratio (OR). Results: In the high and low-SRH groups, 44 (28.8%) and 23 (31.5%) men and 24 (10.4%) and 21 (27.6%) women, respectively, were at risk for compulsion (p<.001). For women, the compulsion scores of the low and high-SRH groups, respectively, were 15.8±9.53 and 9.9±8.47 (t=5.071, p<.001). The low-SRH group had higher ORs compared with the high-SRH group among women (OR 3.277, 95% confidence interval 1.699 - 6.321, p<.001) in the original model, and this phenomenon was significant even after adjusting for age and residence type. Conclusions: Low SRH may be a risk factor for compulsion. Further research for improving SRH by developing preventive measures against compulsion is necessary.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a supportive program on uncertainty, anxiety, and maternal-fetal attachment in high-risk pregnant women. Methods: The participants were 59 high-risk pregnant women admitted to the maternal-fetal intensive care unit. The control group (n=30) received usual treatment and antenatal care, while the experimental group (n=29) received an additional supportive program. Uncertainty, anxiety, and maternal-fetal attachment were measured in both groups prior to the intervention and at 3 days and 10 days after the intervention (or at discharge). Data were analyzed with the t-test, chi-square test, repeated-measures analysis of covariance, and the Greenhouse-Geisser correction in SPSS version 23.0. Results: A supportive program including information provision, nutritional care, emotional care, and exercise care was developed from the literature. All variables except women's length of stay were found to be homogeneous the between experimental and control groups in the pre-test. Length of stay was calculated as a covariate for testing hypotheses. There was a significant difference in state anxiety over time between the two groups, while there were no differences in uncertainty or maternal-fetal attachment. Conclusion: This supportive program was identified as an effective nursing intervention on state anxiety in high-risk pregnant women during their stay in the maternal-fetal intensive care unit. It is suggested that nurses could apply this program to alleviate high-risk pregnant women's state anxiety, and that this program could be modified to be more effective on uncertainty and maternal-fetal attachment in high-risk pregnant women.
This study analyzed purchase behavior according to the risk perceptions when customers buy Cosmetics at Internet Shopping Malls. Participants were 232 women in their 20s and 30s with more than one buying experience at an internet fashion shopping mall. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, Cronbach's analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and a Duncan test. Results were as follows. Firstly, five factors of risk perception were identified: These were the payment risk, service risk, quality risk, price risk and experience risk. Secondly, customers of internet shopping malls could be categorized into three groups: A low risk perception group, a payment risk perception group and a high risk perception group. Factor analysis showed significant differences between these groups( p<.001). Thirdly, purchase behavior based on the purchase standards, purchase items, information searching were investigated according to the different groups of risk perception of internet shopping malls and results again significant differences between groups (p<.05, p<.001).
