철도차량용 선형유도전동기 성능시험기의 공극조절 시스템 특성 연구 (Characteristic Analysis of Air-gap Control System in Performance Test Machine of a LIM for Railway Transit)

  • A lot of researches on a linear induction motor(LIM) have been advanced to realize a traction system with high efficiency and performance for railway transit for a long time. However, most of them are limited in design of a LIM part such as Primary and Secondary. At a LIM which is traveling, the change of an air-gap(It occurs by a construction tolerance of a secondary reaction plate) becomes the cause which decreases a smoother ride and the efficiency of railway transit system. Therefore, uniform air-gap operation of LIM is important issue to improve the system efficiency. However, the researches which control the air-gap length of the LIM with technical and high-cost problem have been not advanced a lot. Therefore, in this research, it is introduced an air-gap control system for performance test machine of a scale-downed LIM which is able to control the air-gap length of the LIM and monitor a variety of performance changes of the propulsion system, and conducted a research on feasibility of the system based on characteristic analysis.

비용절감형 단상-삼상 전력변환기 구조의 해석 및 제어 (Analysis and Control of Cost-Effective Topologies for Single Phase to Three Phase Power Converter)

  • A single phase to three phase power converter with cost effective and simple structure is proposed. The converter consists of rectifier and inverter. The rectifier is composed of a half wave rectifier, a dc link capacitor, and a current limiting inductor, and the inverter is of only two switches with PWM control. For negative sequence operation the inverter output voltage leads the line input by $60^{\circ}$, and for positive sequence operation the inverter output voltage leads by $60^{\circ}$. We can see that positive sequence operation shows higher output voltage, slight harmonic distortion(2%), and better performances such as high efficiency and high power factor. A mathematical model for system analysis is provided, and specifications for selection and control scheme both for start-up and for steady state are analyzed. comparison and operational limits of positive and negative sequence operation are performed, and simulations and experiments are executed to verify the proposed.

  • The effect of the thermo-mechanical treatment on the microstructural development and the electric conductivity of Cu-Ca alloys are studied for the thixoforming processed rotor of the induction motor The Cu-Ca alloys containing Ca less than 1.0wt% show the electrical conductivity higher than 80% IACS They also show broad melting range over $150^{\circ}C$ which is desirable for the thixoforming process The semi-solid microstructure of cast alloy changes from the dendrite structure to globular structure by prior deformation before reheating. The details of microstructural changes by the thermo-mechanical treatment are discussed.

  • This paper presents a digital hardware implementation of a real-time simulator for a multiphase drive using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) device. The simulator was developed with a modular and hierarchical design using very high-speed integrated circuit hardware description language (VHDL). Hence, this simulator is flexible and portable. A state-space representation model suitable for FPGA implementations was proposed for a dual three-phase induction machine (DTPIM). The simulator also models a two-level 12-pulse insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT)-based voltage-source converter (VSC), a pulse-width modulation scheme, and a measurement system. Real-time simulation outputs (stator currents and rotor speed) were validated under steady-state and transient conditions using as reference an experimental test bench based on a DTPIM with 15 kW-rated power. The accuracy of the proposed digital hardware implementation was evaluated according to the simulation and experimental results. Finally, statistical performance parameters were provided to analyze the efficiency of the proposed DTPIM hardware implementation method.

  • 본 논문에서는 37kw이하 공용코어용 고효율 유도전동기 시제품 제작하였다. 시제품을 제작하기위해서는 전동기설계 및 해석이 필요하다. 방법으로는 전동기기본설계, 실험계획법, 등가회로법, 유한요소법 등이 있다. 이중에서 실험계획법에는 최적설계, 주요인자, 최적영역 등으로 나누어 분석할 수 있다. 설계 및 해석한 결과를 가지고 특성을 분석하고 재료비 및 효율을 비교하게 된다. 이를 바탕으로 5.5kw, 7.5kw, 11kw, 15kw 4극, 6극 공용코어용 고효율 유도전동기 시제품을 제작하였다.

  • In this paper, tile squirrel case induction motors required multi-objective function are designed. As the objective function of the optimization program, we select the linear combination of loss and mass of motors by using weighting factors. Optimization process is performed by using the evolution strategy (ES). ES is the algorithm that can find the global minimum. To verify validity of the proposed method, a sample design is tried.

  • In order to improved the three phase GTO CSI of high efficiency IM drive with low loss commutation and snubber energy, we studied the energy recovery circuit to recover stored energy in clamping capacitor, dc link inductor and snubber capacitor, used an induction motor as the load of inverter. Specially, we investigated how dc input power is increased or decreased according to size of dc link inductor. The validity of this system is proved through experiment.

  • In Linear Induction Motor(LIM), the end effect is caused by the abrupt change in the airgap magnetic reluctance at both ends of the machina Especially, in high speed, it has an adverse effect on various characteristics of LIM such as thrust, efficiency, power factor, etc. In this paper, we analyze the end effect, and describes the method to reduce end effect essentially and decrease the secondary material cost.

  • 영구자석 저감형 동기전동기는 기존의 고속철도 추진용 유도기보다 높은 효율과 출력밀도를 보이고, 일반적인 영구자석 동기전동기에 비해 자석 사용량을 줄여 가격을 낮출 수 있다. 또한 5상 구동 시스템을 사용할 경우 3상 시스템에 비해 낮은 토크리플과 높은 출력밀도를 가지게 된다. 이러한 특성으로 인해 5상 영구자석 저감형 동기전동기는 고속철도 추진용 전동기로 적합한 특성을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 집중상수모델과 유전알고리즘을 이용하여 3상 및 5상 영구자석 저감형 동기전동기 3kw 축소모델을 최적설계하고 이들의 특성을 비교하였다. 또한 유한요소해석을 이용하여 최종 보정설계를 진행한 3상 및 5상 전동기를 제작하고 실험을 통해 해석값을 검증하였다.

  • In designing high efficiency electrical machines, calculation of iron loss is very important. And it is reported that in the induction motor and in the T-joint of 3 phase transformer, there occurred rotational magnetic field and much iron loss is generated owing to this field. In this paper, rotational power loss in the electrical machine under rotational magnetic field is discussed. Until now, loss analysis is based on the magnetic properties under alternating field. And with this one dimensional magnetic propertis, it is difficult to express iron loss under rotational field. In this paper, we used two dimensional magnetic property data for the numerical calculation of rotational power loss. We used finite element method for calculation and the analysis model is two dimensional magnetic property measurement system. We used permeability tensor instead of scalar permeability to present two dimensional magnetic properties. And in this case, we cannot uniquely define energy functional because of the asymmetry of the permeability tensor, so Galerkin method is used for finite element analysis.
