통합DB를 활용한 청년운전자의 위험도 실증분석 (Empirical Study on the Risk Analysis of Young Driver Utilizing Integrated Data Base(DB))

  • Traffic accident risk of young drivers(less than 25) is reported to have 8 times as high as that of middle aged drivers(between 30 and 49). Despite the rise of traffic accident risk, few have been attempted to take a look into driving characteristics of young drivers. The purpose of this paper is to analyze age-specific risks of young driver by means of database of insurance and vehicle inspection, thereby collecting data such as age, vehicle mileage, injuries and so on. We conducted Data-Mining(CART) and Portfolio analysis according to age groups(every 10 years). The conclusions which can be drawn from this empirical study are as follows: (1) Despite the fact that young drivers have low vehicle mileage, the rate of fatality is relatively high. (2) Being concerned of vehicle mileage, 24,000km of driving experience is thought to be critical in differing in fatality rate. Having annual average mileage fewer than 24,169 km, accident frequency is relatively lower than that exceeding 24,169 km(1,571 cases). Backed upon these, some recommendations about driver's license system for young driver to improve are given.

INFLUENCE OF PROVIDING BODY SENSORY INFORMATION AND VISUAL INFORMATION TO DRIVER ON STEER CHARACTERISTICS AND AMOUNT OF PERSPIRATION IN DRIFT CORNERING

  • Driving simulations were performed to evaluate the effect of providing both visual information and body sensory information on changes in steering characteristics and the amount of perspiration in drift cornering. When the driver is provided with body sensory information and visual information, the amount of perspiration increases and the driver can perform drift control with a moderate level of tension. With visual information only, the driver tends to easily go into a spin because drift control is difficult. In this case, the amount of perspiration increases greatly as compared with the case where body sensory information is also provided, reflecting a very high perception of risk. When body sensory information is provided, the driver can control drift adequately, feeding back the roll angle information in steering. The importance of the driver's perception of the state of the vehicle was thus confirmed, and a desirable future direction for driver assistance systems was determined.

교통사고 위험그룹 및 사고유형별 심각도 결정 연구 - 서울시 중심 - (The Determination of Risk Group and Severity by Traffic Accidents Types - Focusing on Seoul City -)

  • 본 연구는 교통사고의 발생 유형과 교통사고 심각도(Severity)와의 관계를 규명함으로써 위험유형을 제시하고, 운전자 특성과 교통사고의 관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 교통사고 유형을 여덟 가지로 세분하고, 결과의 객관성 확보를 위해 안전벨트 착용여부를 추가하여 상해정도와의 관계를 분석하였으며, 위험그룹의 분류를 위한 운전자의 특성은 성별, 차종, 연령 등을 대상으로 하였다. 카테고리 자료의 분석을 위하여 로그-선형 모형 및 로짓 모형을 사용하였다. 분석결과 사고유형과 심각도와의 관계에서는 정면충돌 사고와 앞지르기시, 우회전시 사고가 부상 또는 사망사고에 연루될 가능성이 높았다. 위험그룹 분석에서는 20세 미만의 이륜차 운전자, 41세에서 50세까지의 택시 운전자가 가장 위험한 집단으로 분석되었으며 또한 남자보다는 여자가 승용차와 중형화물 등에 관계되었을 때 더 위험한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 교통사고 발생시 인명 피해를 줄이기 위해서는 정면충돌 사고와 앞지르기시, 우회전시 발생하는 사고를 줄일 수 있는 방안이 연구되어야 하고, 교통사고 취약계층으로 분석된 위험그룹에 대한 교통안전 교육 및 단속이 강화되어야 할 것이다.

일부지역에서 구급차운전자의 구급차 안전운전 운행행태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Behavioral Factors for the Safely of Ambulance Driving)

  • This is the first Korea study to evaluate the effects od the safety of ambulance driving and the occurrence of ambulance traffic accidents and to provide basic informaion for the description of various factors to reduce the ambulance traffic accidents. The major insturment of this study were Krean Self-Analysis Driver Opinionnaire. Questionnaire contains 8 items which measure driver's opinions or attitudes : driving courtesy, emotion, traffic law, speed, vehicle conditions, the use of drugs, high-risk behaviors, and human factors. To take the analysis of data, the total of 350 divers were investigated ambulance divers and others in Taejon City and others (6 City) from 1996. 1. July to 1996. 31. July. The data were analyzed by the descriptive statistics and the logistic regression - path analysis - with SPSS and SAS package program. The result are as follows : 1. There was desirable attitude group(16.2%) and undesirable attitude group(17.6%) on safety ambulance driving. 2. It have suggested that risk factors of ambulance traffic accidents much affected with emotion and speed control on safety ambulance driving < Y(Accdient) = -2.64 + 0.57 $X_1$ (Emotion Control) + 0.30 $X_2$(Seed control) + E > and motor traffic acident much affected with emotion control and high-risk behavior on safety driving < Y(Accident) = -1.11 + 0.33 $X_1$(Emotion Control) + 0.29 $X_2$(High-risk Behvior) + E > 4. The primary emphassis of ambulance drivers was make us realized that improthatnt factors on safety ambulance driving were 1)making way for emergent ambulance, 2)driver's career, 3)The ability of emergency medical technics, and the knowledge or under standing of ambulance way difficut(or easy) of accdess. 5. Almost 96.6% of respondents have agreed to necessity of emergency medical technics for ambulance drivers. 6. Almost 94.6% of respondents have consented to necessity of emergtency medical technicians for ambulance driving. 7. It have suggested that the proportion of traffic accident proportion by desitable attitude group(16.7%) was much less than that of undesirable attitude group(30.8%) on safety ambulance driving(P < 0.05)/Ps) Accidents are unplanned, unforesen incidents which can lead to harmful or unfortunate outcomes, Collisons are not accidents, since the basic cause of the majority of collisons invovles high-risk human behavior. Although there are many factors which contribute to accident causation, four basic factors seem to predominate in most traffic related situations. These four factors include: the human factor, the vehicle factor, the environmental factors and destination factor(Peto G. et al. 1995).

운전자 의도정보를 이용한 온톨로지 기반 지능형자동차 상황인식 플랫폼 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of ontology based context-awareness platform using driver intent information)

  • 본 논문에서는 주행상황의 자동차 정보를 인식하기 위하여 차량, 운전자, 환경 정보와 함께 주행상태 정보, 운전자상태 정보를 추가하여 실시간으로 바뀌는 운전행동에 대한 정보를 상황인식에 활용하여 운전자의 의도를 반영할 수 있도록 하였으며, 온톨로지 기반 상황인식 모델을 구성하여 다양한 상황에서의 상황인식이 가능하게 설계하였다. 상황정보의 획득방법으로 운전자 정보와 주행정보는 카메라를 이용한 영상인식 기술을 활용하며, 자동차 정보는 OBD-II 프로토콜을 이용한 정보 획득 장치를 이용한다. 실험결과 운전자 상태정보와 주행정보의 분석을 통하여 운전자 의도를 반영한 제안 시스템이 고속주행 상황에서의 차선이탈 경고 서비스 및 저속주행 상황에서의 안전거리 경보서비스를 위한 상황인식에 있어서 기존의 차량, 운전자, 환경정보를 활용한 방식보다 운전자 안전지원 서비스에 우수한 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

지역사회 고등학생의 인터넷 문제 사용과 건강 위험 행동 간의 연관성에 대한 연구 (The Relationship between Problematic Internet Use and Health Risk Behavior in Community High School Students)

  • Objectives: Studies investigating problematic internet use have increased rapidly and have been focused on its causes, psychopathology, prevalence, characteristics and so on. However, there are few studies concerning the correlation between problematic internet use and youth health risk behavior. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between problematic internet use and youth health risk behavior. Methods: A community sample of 632 high school students in grades 10 and 11 was collected for the survey. The sample was assessed using the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System(YRBSS) and Young's Diagnostic Questionnaire of Internet Addiction(YDQ). The subjects were classified into two groups: normal and problematic internet use, and the problematic internet use group was further divided into at-risk use and addiction groups. Results: There were 56 subjects(8.9%) in the internet addiction group and 56 subjects(8.9%) in the at-risk internet use group. The other 507 subjects were classified as normal. The subjects in the internet addiction group kissed more frequently and ate less fruit than those in the normal group. They also showed a relatively higher tendency to watch TV, ride in a car driven by a drunk driver and to carry a weapon than those in the normal group. There were no differences in health risk behaviors between the subjects in the internet addiction group and those in the at-risk internet use group, except for the possibility of riding in a car driven by a drunk driver. Conclusion: Unlike the normal group, there was very little difference in health risk behavior between the internet addiction group and the at-risk internet use group, which indicates that the addiction group and the at-risk internet use groups are homogenous. It is important to focus on the behavior of individuals in the at-risk group, and preventive measures should be taken in order to reduce the possibility of at-risk adolescents becoming addicted.

차량 그림자를 이용한 주행 차량 검출 및 차간 거리 측정 (Driving Vehicle Detection and Distance Estimation using Vehicle Shadow)

  • 최근 차량 운전자들의 안전 운행을 보조하기 위해 운전자의 차량과 전방의 차량 간의 거리를 추정하고 안전거리 유무를 알려주기 위한 경보시스템이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서도 실제 도로 환경에서 전방의 주행 차량을 검출하여 차간 거리를 측정하고, 충돌 위험 상황을 감지하여 운전자에게 충돌 위험을 알리는 충돌경고시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 먼저 전방주시 카메라를 활용하여 촬영한 도로영상으로부터 도로와 차량에 해당하는 관심 영역을 추출하고, 관심 영역에서 전방 차량의 그림자 임계값 분석을 통해 전방 차량 객체를 추출한 후 전방 차량과의 거리를 계산하여 충돌 위험 경고를 알려준다. 주행 차량 검출 및 차간 거리 측정 결과를 기반으로 충돌경고시스템을 설계 및 구현하였으며, 실제 도로상황에 적용하여 실험한 결과 매우 높은 정확도를 나타내어 안전 운전에 대응할 수 있는 것으로 검증되었다.

터널 경계부 휘도수준에 따른 운전자 연령대별 안전수준 비교 (Comparison of Safety Level between Driver's Ages by Threshold Zone Luminance Level of Vehicular Traffic Tunnel)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to suggest a basis for setting appropriate safety goals specifically related to the threshold zone luminance in a vehicular traffic tunnel. METHODS : In the test, drivers were divided into two groups. One group consisted of all drivers (average drivers) group with an age ratio of drivers holding domestic driver's license and driver group by age to produce threshold zone luminance in the tunnel. The threshold zone luminance produced as a result was used to analyze how it affects the safety level of each driver group and provide a basis for setting an appropriate safety criterion that can be used to determine threshold zone luminance. We used test equipment, test conditions, and ananalysis of threshold zone luminance identical to that reported by ChoandJung(2014) but the values of adaptation luminance in our analys is were expanded to range from100 to $10,000cd/m^2$. RESULTS : Adaptation luminance and threshold zone luminance are found to be related by a quadratic function. The threshold zone luminance needed by older drivers to ensure a certain safety level is significantly higher than that for drivers of other age brackets when adaptation luminance increases. 56% of older drivers are at an increased risk of an accident at the same luminance for which the safety level of average drivers is 75%. The safety level that can be achieved for older drivers increases to above 60% when threshold zone luminance level is set with the goal of attaining a safety level of more than 85% for average drivers. The safety level that can be attained for average drivers is above 90% when the threshold zone luminance is high enough to ensure over 75% in the safety level of older drivers. Results of this study are applicable to highways and others whose designed speed is 100 km/h. CONCLUSIONS : Threshold zone luminance determined on the basis of drivers having average visual ability is of limited value as a performance standard for ensuring the safety of older drivers. Hence, safety level for older drivers should be considered separately from safety levels for drivers with an average ability to avoid risk. Upward adjustment of older drivers' safety level in the process of determining appropriate threshold zone luminance in a vehicular traffic tunnel may bring both tangible and intangible benefit as a result of reducing accidents. However, there is an associated dollar cost arising from installing and operating lights. As a result, the economic impact of these trade-offs should also be considered.

전방 추돌 경보를 위한 영상 기반 실시간 차량 검출 및 추적 알고리즘 (Vision-based Real-time Vehicle Detection and Tracking Algorithm for Forward Collision Warning)

  • 대부분의 자동차 사고는 졸음운전과 같은 운전자의 부주의로 인해 발생한다. 전방 추돌 경보 시스템 (FCWS)은 전방 차량으로부터 추돌 위험을 감지하여 운전자에게 사전에 경고함으로써 사고의 위험을 현저하게 줄여준다. 본 논문은 주행 안전을 위한 저전력 임베디드 기반 FCWS를 소개한다. 단일 카메라로부터 전방 차량에 대해 검출, 추적, 거리를 계산하고 현재 차량의 속도 정보를 통해 충돌시간 (TTC)을 계산한다. 또한 저성능 임베디드 시스템에서 실시간으로 동작하기 위해 높고 낮은 수준의 프로그램 최적화 기법을 소개한다. 이 시스템은 임베디드 시스템에서 사전에 취득해둔 주행 영상을 통해서 테스트 하였다. 최적화 기법을 사용한 결과는 이전에 최적화를 하지 않은 프로세스 보다 실행 시간이 약 170배 향상되었다.

It have suggested that rist factors of ambulance traffic accident much affected with emotion and speed control on safety ambulance driving(Y(Accident) = -2.00 + 0.6 X1(Emotion Control) + 0.4 $X_2$(Speed control) + E). 3. Almost 92.1% of respondents have agreed to necessity of emergency medical technics for ambulance drivers.
