Multiple input multiple output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) is widely applied in wireless communication by virtue of its excellent properties in data transmission rate and transmission accuracy. However, as a major drawback of MIMO-OFDM systems, the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) complicates the design of the power amplifier at the receiver end. Some available PAPR reduction methods such as selective mapping (SLM) suffer from high computational complexity. In this paper, a low-complexity SLM method based on active constellation extension (ACE) and joint space-time selective mapping (AST-SLM) for reducing PAPR in Alamouti STBC MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed. In SLM scheme, two IFFT operations are required for obtaining each transmission sequence pair, and the selected phase vector is transmitted as side information(SI). However, in the proposed AST-SLM method, only a few IFFT operations are required for generating all the transmission sequence pairs. The complexity of AST-SLM is at least 86% less than SLM. In addition, the SI needed in AST-SLM is at least 92.1% less than SLM by using the presented blind detection scheme to estimate SI. We show, analytically and with simulations, that AST-SLM can achieve significant performance of PAPR reduction and close performance of bit error rate (BER) compared to SLM scheme.

최근 LTE(Long-Term Evolution) 이동통신시스템이 보급되어 본격적인 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 특히 LTE 시스템은 3G 시스템 등 과거 이동통신시스템 대비 월등한 전송 속도를 보장함으로써 높은 전송 속도를 요구하는 서비스도 이동단말을 통해서 제공될 수 있도록 하고 있다. 향후 IPTV와 같은 멀티미디어 서비스가 LTE 시스템을 통해서 제공되기 위해서는 실제 사용 환경에서 LTE 시스템이 보여주는 전송 속도의 변화에 대한 기본적인 이해가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CQI와 BLER과 같은 무선 품질 지표가 LTE 시스템의 전송 속도에 영향을 미치는 체제에 대해서 살펴보고 실측 결과를 통해서 이를 검증한다.

본 논문에서는 가청 주파수 영역 중 사람들에게 거의 들리지 않는 고주파와 순환 중복 검사 기법을 이용하여 스마트 기기 간의 신뢰성 있는 데이터를 무선으로 전송하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즘은 스마트 기기의 내장 스피커에서 출력할 수 있는 가청 주파수 영역(20 Hz~22 kHz) 중 고주파 영역인 18 kHz~22 kHz를 사용한다. 이때 데이터의 전송량을 높이기 위해 고주파 영역 1(18.0 kHz~21.2 kHz)에서 여러 개의 주파수를 혼합하여 전달하며, 이와 동시에 전송 데이터의 정확성을 높이기 위해 고주파 영역 2(21.2 kHz~22.0 kHz)에서 순환 중복 검사를 위한 체크섬을 전달한다. 제안 방법의 데이터 전송 속도와 정확성을 확인하기 위해 스마트 북과 스마트 기기 간에 데이터 전달 실험을 하였다. 그 결과 평균 235 ms에 32 bits 데이터를 전송할 수 있었으며, 전송 성공률은 99.47%, 그리고 순환 중복 검사에 의한 에러 검출률은 0.53%인 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 제안 방법은 스마트 기기 간에 무선으로 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 유용한 기술이 될 것이다.

Automation facilities of greenhouses have been continuously developed. However, the conventional two-stage worm gear reducer reveals some problems, including low transmission efficiency. The worm gear reducer also have some difficulties in manufacturing and short life. Therefore, this study was performed to develop a planetary gear reducer, having a high Sear reduction ratio and high torque transmission efficiency. The planetary gear system consisted of a fixed ring gear and a 2-teeth differential ring gear turning slow, as the planetary pinion orbits fast around the fixed ring gear. The developed gear system can achieve a high speed reduction rate at one stage. The reducing system was employed to the greenhouse ventilation system. The reducer has the transmission efficiency of 70.5%, 2∼3 times longer life time, and twofold roll-up torque at an affordable price, comparing with conventional reducers. This reducer can be also applied to many industrial equipments, such as industrial crane, hoist, elevator and gondola etc.

본 논문에서는 HDR-WPAN(high data rate wireless personal area network) 시스템에서 TCM-128QAM 변조 방식과 25MHz. 대역폭 확장을 통한 전송용량 향상 방안을 제안하였다. TCM-128QAM의 변조방식을 사용하였을 경우, 15MHz의 대역폭에서 최대 66Mbps의 전송속도를 나타낼 수 있지만, roll-off 계수 ${\alpha}=0.35$으로 하고 대역폭을 25MHz로 확장하였을 경우, 최대 110Mbps의 전송속도를 나타낼 수 있다. 이 같은 결과를 PSD(power spectrum density) 분석 및 BER(bit error rate) 성능을 이용하여 확인하였다.

This paper introduces an efficient iterative decoding method for high-dimensional block turbo codes. To improve the decoding performance, we modified the soft decision Viterbi decoding algorithm, which is a trellis-based method. The iteration number can be significantly reduced in the soft output decoding process by applying multiple usage of extrinsic reliability information from all available axes and appropriately normalizing them. Our simulation results reveal that the proposed decoding process needs only about 30% of the iterations required to obtain the same performance with the conventional method at a bit error rate range of $10^{-5}\;to\;10^{-6}$.

국내의 인터넷 전화(VoIP)는 서비스 출범 이후 매해 괄목할 만한 성장을 해 왔고, 지금도 지속적인 증가세를 유지하고 있다. 또한 인터넷 전화 시장이 성장한 만큼 모바일 인터넷 전화의 비율 또한 급팽창할 것으로 보인다. 이에 따라 모바일 인터넷 전화 서비스의 품질이 뛰어난 망 구축이 중요하다. 모바일 인터넷 전화 서비스는 이동성과 전송률이 뛰어난 망에 구축되어 사용되어야 할 것이다. 현재의 무선 인터넷 서비스망은 3G와 Wi-Fi, 모바일 와이맥스 망이 있다. 3G는 이동성은 뛰어나지만 전송률이 떨어지고, Wi-Fi는 전송률은 뛰어나지만 이동성이 떨어진다. 최근 양자의 장점을 취하여 뛰어난 이동성과 전송률을 가진 모바일 와이맥스 망의 구축이 확대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 와이맥스망의 인터넷 전화 서비스에 대한 와이맥스 포럼의 최근 표준 동향을 살펴본다.

This paper is analysed by switching overvoltage on operating reclosing in 154 [kV] combined transmission systems. Combined transmission systems are modeled by EMTP/ATPDraw program. It is fault condition that simulate high resistance earth fault. The simulation is carried out considering variation of parameters such as resistance value of fault point and rate of underground line.

The mode of transmission, effect on fecundity, hatching and tissues specificity of a microsporidian $(Lb_{ms})$ recovered from Lamerin breed of the silkworm Bombyx mori L. was studied and compared with standard strain Nosema bombycis. Peroral inoculation of $Lb_{ms}$ or N. bombycis to zeroday of $4^{th}$ instar larvae of silkworm was the most suitable method for producing information on development of stage specific mortality, pupation and obtaining infected adults for transovarial transmission studies. It was observed that pupal mortality, the percentage of moths emerged and the percentage of moths infected were significantly high in N. bombycis infected batches as compared $(Lb_{ms})$ in all the three tested breeds of the silkworm. However no significant difference was observed in larval mortality. The fecundity and hatchability was not affected significantly in $(Lb_{ms})$ infected adults, however significant reduction in egg production, fecundity, hatchability and increased egg retention was observed in mother moths infected with N. bombycis. The $(Lb_{ms})$ is transmitted both horizontally and vertically at lower rate due to its low rate of proliferation. The trans ovarial transmission of $(Lb_{ms})$ to the $F_1$ progeny generation through eggs averaged only $61.33\pm5.10\%$ whereas N. bombycis was transmitted at $100\%$. The $(Lb_{ms})$ had low oral infectivity and low transovarial transmission in silkworm B. mori.

대기 무선 광통신시스템은 레이저 광의 높은 지향 특성에 의해 저전력 통신이 가능하나, 대기공간을 전송채널로 사용하기 때문에 전송되는 광신호는 흡수, 산란, 교란 등의 대기효과에 의해 심각한 영향을 받는다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이러한 대기효과를 고려하여 대기 광무선 LOS (line of sight) 통신링크의 링크방정식을 구한 후, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 무중계 전송거리를 구함으로써 시스템 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과 주어진 데이터 전송율에서 무중계 전송 가능한 거리가 제시되었고, 주어진 비트 오류율에서 전송거리가 약간 증가함에 따라 데이터 전송율이 급격히 감소함을 알 수 있었다.
