고속열차의 터널 주행시 실외 압력 변화 및 미기압파 저감을 위한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study of Reduction of External Pressure Variation and Micro-Pressure Wave for high-speed train in tunnel)

  • When a train passes a conventiaonl tunnel at high speed, external pressure variation problem arises. It is known that this issue can be reduced by control the tunnel length. We studied the variances of external pressure variation within the tunnel, by altering length of the dummy tunnel duct. We also studies the variances of micro-pressure waves at the exit of tunnel, by altering surface area of dummy tunnel duct. For analyzing this train-tunnel relation problem, axisymmetric steady compressible flow solver was used.

300km/h급 고속철도의 터널 미기압파 저감을 위한 슬릿후드의 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on the alleviation of micro-pressure waves radiated from the tunnel exit with the slit hoods on the high-speed train operations of 300km/h)

  • The purpose of present study is to investigate for reducing micro pressure waves generated according to train speeds $(240km/h{\sim}380km/h)$ through tunnels with countermeasures as followings; the hood configuration in tunnel entrance. We developed hoods for tunnel of 0.5 km length in the condition of tunnel cross-section area of $107m^2$ on the slab track. According to the results the maximum micro-pressure wave is reduced by 41.2% for the slit hood installed at the entrance of the tunnel and reduced by 47.7% for the slit hood installed at the entrance of the tunnel and the $45^{\circ}$ slanted portal at the exit of the tunnel

  • A tunnel deformation monitoring system is developed with the use of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing technique, aiming at providing continuous monitoring of railway tunnel deformation in the long term, and early warning for the rail service maintainers and authorities to avoid catastrophic consequences when significant deformation occurs. Specifically, a set of FBG bending gauges with the ability of angle measurement and temperature compensation is designed and manufactured for the purpose of online monitoring of tunnel deformation. An overall profile of lateral tunnel displacement along the longitudinal direction can be obtained by implementing an array of the FBG bending gauges interconnected by rigid rods, in conjunction with a proper algorithm. The devised system is verified in laboratory experiments with a test setup enabling to imitate various patterns of tunnel deformation before the implementation of this system in an in-service high-speed railway (HSR) tunnel.

  • The catenary system supported by the tunnel bracket which has been used uniquely in KNR was selected as the catenary inside narrow existing tunnel in the electrification of Kyeung-Bu Line for operation of Korea High Speed Train(KTX). It was demanded to judge the maximal operable speed of KTX in this catenary system to implement the planning. To do this, the tunnel bracket was firstly tested to obtain the characteristic data. The stiffness of this bracket are computed depending on the location which catenary installed on. Moreover, the catenary using tunnel bracket is modelled numerically respecting the bracket stiffness. Based on these, the dynamics between this catenary and KTX pantograph are simulated with the program developed by ourselves independently. The simulation result are evaluated according to the generally acceptable criteria. Consequently, the maximal operable speed of KTX in the catenary using KNR(Korean National Railroad) tunnel bracket is predicted and some items which are needed to be kept in the processing of implementation are drawn.

전산유체역학을 이용한 고속철도차량 객실 내 압력변동 평가 (Assessment of the Pressure Transient Inside the Passenger Cabin of High-speed Train Using Computational Fluid Dynamics)

  • 축대칭 Navier-Stokes 방정식에 기반한 전산유체역학을 이용하여 고속철도차량 객실 내 압력변동을 평가하였다. 차량 내부의 압력변동은 차내 압력변화율과 차 내외부 압력변동의 선형 관계식에 근거한 1차 차분식을 이용하여 계산되었다. 전산해석 결과, 새로운 한국형 고속철도 차량이 경부고속선 터널을 330km/h로 통과할 시 발생하는 객실 실내압 변동은 해당 차량이 기밀도 국내기준을 만족한다고 가정하였을 시 철도차량의 실내압력변동 국내 기준치를 잘 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 분산형 고속철도차량의 유리창 강도조건을 설정하기 위하여 열차가 터널을 통과하는 동안의 압력변동이 수치적으로 모사되었다. 계산결과를 토대로 객실 내외의 압력차이가 계산되었고, 객실 유리창에 작용하는 하중의 크기가 도출되었다. 열차가 터널을 통과하는 동안의 압력장을 모사하기 위하여 축대칭 Navier-Stokes 방정식에 기반한 전산유체역학이 이용되었다. 차량 내부의 압력변동은 차내 압력변화율과 차 내외부 압력변동의 선형 관계식에 근거한 1차 차분식을 이용하여 계산되었다.

고속철도차량의 터널 소음을 위한 차음 전략 (Sound Insulation Strategy for the Tunnel Noise in a High Speed Train)

  • 터널 내에서 고속철도 차량의 실내소음은 개활지 대비 5dB~7dB정도 증가한다. 그 원인은 터널 내 차체 외부의 음향 인텐시티가 급격히 증가하기 때문인데, 특히, 측면재의 외부에서는 개활지에 비해서 음향 인텐시티의 증가가 가장 크다. 따라서 터널 내에서는 차체의 측면을 통하여 음향파워의 투과 전달이 커질 가능성이 상당히 높다. 본 논문에서는 현재 개발중인 차세대 고속 철도차량의 터널 내 실내소음을 저감시키기 위한 종합적인 차음 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 차체의 주요 차음재인 바닥 적층재, 측면 적층재 및 복층 유리창의 시편을 제작하여 ASTM E2249-02에 근거하여 투과손실 측정한다. 측정 데이터에 근거하여 차음 성능상의 문제점을 진단하고, 차음성능 향상을 위한 층별 개선 방안과 적층 구조의 개선 방안을 제시한다.

  • In order to develop a high speed train, various conditions have been considered. Fatigue strength assessment by the fluctuation of pressure is an important one. In this study, a numerical simulation has been performed to estimate the fluctuation and frequency of pressure when KHST(Korean High Speed Train)passes through tunnels in the Kyung-Bu high-speed railway. The simulation was based on KHST running the Kyung-Bu high-speed line with the speed of 350km/h and the interval of 10 minute headway. And the tunnel entrance speed was estimated by TPS program. Therefore, the fluctuation and frequency of pressure is expressed in Weibull distribution function in the above running situation. The result in this study would be good guidance to calculate the fatigue life and the index of reliability of body structure. We are going to conduct more study to measure the real value of the pressure of the carbody passing through tunnels, to assess the fatigue reliability and to develop method & procedure for the fatigue reliability design.
