The proliferation of bioinformatics in modern biology marks a modern revolution in science that promises to influence science education at all levels. This study analyzed the contents of standards in the 7th and 2007 and 2009 revised high school biology curricula and compared the contents, amount and the presentation styles of bioinformatics with those of biotechnology in biology textbooks. In result, first of all, there are some vague expressions about biotechnology and bioinformatics in the 7th and 2007 revised curriculum. There is a clear expression about biotechnology in 'life science I' and 'advanced biology' of 2009 revised curriculum. Second, more biotechnology is introduced than bioinformatics in 'science', 'biology I', 'biology II', 'life science I' textbooks. Third, in 'biology for high class' textbook, amount of biotechnology contents in the 2007 revised curriculum didn't increase. An more effort to introduce bioinformatics to science high school student is needed according to revising curricula.
This study is an analytical study on textbooks of , which was first presented in the 2015 revised high school mathematics curriculum. The textbook has a very high educational significance in that it is the first textbook developed for students majoring in economics. Analyzing whether these textbooks faithfully follow the spirit of the curriculum is an essential study for nurturing creative and convergent human beings and for personal self-realization. Therefore, in this study, a consistency analysis was conducted to determine whether the textbook fits the textbook development direction suggested by the curriculum developer and is appropriate for the state-approved mathematics curriculum. As a result of analysis, the contents of the textbook did not partially meet these criteria and lacked consistency. In conclusion, it is necessary to prepare more thorough standards for the examination and recognition of high school elective courses in the future.

This study investigates the results of planning high school facility in accordance with the scope of the 7th educational curriculum by employing user satisfaction methodology. A high school in On-Yang, built recently to fulfill the objective of the curriculum was investigated in detail. Structured interview survey on both students and teachers were done while observation of the entire facility was carried out at the same time. Based on analysis of the interview and the observation, questions were developed, and subsequently questionnaire surveys, focused on how satisfied the students were regarding the school facility and what improvements could be made, were completed. The findings suggest that the degree of variation in planning class room should be employed considerably, as well as the efficiency of route among the facility blocks. Aspects of the other planning factors such as storey height, location of doors and windows, and equipments regarding the purpose of class room are additionally discussed.
The aim of this paper is to provide teacher awareness and the status of robot based instruction(RBI) by focusing on the school curriculum. To gather that information, we conducted a questionnaire survey composed of six items to 116 teachers who have had experiences on RBI. The questions are about the fit school year for RBI, the fit subjects for it, the possibility of applying it to regular subject, the fit students' learning levels for it, the fit learning styles for it and effective methods to apply it to regular subject teachers. The result is as follows: (1) RBI is suitable for fifth and sixth grade in elementary school and all grades in high school. (2) It is suitable for all regular subjects in all schools. (3) It is more effective for the students who have average learning level. (4) It fits into introverted students more than the other style of learners. (5) It is likely to be more effective in supporting of learning and understanding of the contents than merely assisting the teachers' instruction. (6) The teachers showed positive awareness on applying RBI to subject of creative activities. The results are significant in relation to the following two views. First, we can get the positive possibility in applying school curriculum using RBI. Second we can foresee that RBI will provide an innovative paradigm to school curriculum. In addition, the results of this paper can be used as preliminary information for developing models and programs on RBI.
The purpose of this study was to investigate about current status of science field study in elementary schools. A total of 72 elementary teachers in Busan and Gyungnam districts were involved and the data from questionnaire was gathered. The questionnaire was comprised two parts: items on general level include the epistemological aspect and actual condition and items on concrete level according to chapters of elementary school science curriculum. The major findings are as follows: 1. Many teachers cognize the requirement of science field study in 7th Korean elementary school science curriculum is larger than 6th one. But they respond the actual number of science field study in 7th curriculum is nearly equal to 6th. 2. In analysis to grades, the actual number of field study decrease as grade is high. 3. In the science content aspects, the requirement of field study is the largest on biology domain and earth science domain. 4. Many teachers have pointed out “the difficulty of administration for field study” and “inappropriated surrounding of their school” as the problems of science field study in elementary school.
According to the degree of teacher's understanding for the curriculum, There are a lot of differences in teaching-learning methods and assessment items are one of the representative products reflecting these differences. Therefore we need to investigate how the understanding degree of the teacher for curriculum is reflected in the paper-based assessment items through analyzing them. In this study, we analyzed midterm and final 219 exam papers of 'Calculus I' which was based on the 2009 revised mathematics curriculum and focused on items of 'the Limit of Sequences' which content area is among total 4,632 questions. We investigated how the changed curriculum is reflected in the high school evaluation. Based on the results of the analysis, we confirmed the problems derived from the paper-based assessment. Through this, we sought to draw implications for the educational policy that should be accompanied necessarily in order to stabilize the new curriculum after the revision of the curriculum.
The purpose of this study was to examine the content relevance of the 7th national primary science curriculum and textbooks. To fulfill the purpose of the study, we 1) analyzed the 7th national science curriculum of Korea, Californian science standards, the national science curriculum of England and Japan, and current Korean and Japanese science textbooks, 2) conducted a nationwide survey to gather opinions from students, teachers, and professors of teachers colleges about the relevance of the science curriculum and textbooks. Main findings of this study are as follows: First, the science contents at each grade level should be determined by the students' characteristics, not by an equal portion rule among physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. Second, the excessive overlapping and repetition of contents due to the spiral curriculum should be avoid. Third, the number of topics at each grade level should be reduced, and the similar topics and themes should be integrated for students' deeper understanding. Fourth, the number of science concepts and activities should be reduced to an appropriate level considering the time allotment for science classes, teachers workload, laboratory conditions, etc. Fifth, differentiated curriculum, such as in-depth and supplementary course, should be described not in science contents, but in teaching and learning strategy.

The study is intended to analyze the tendency of the remodeling for the high schools in Seoul, with the potential challenges thereof, determining the principle for the remodeling projects in the days to come. To that end, the analysis to identify the school facilities in a bid to accommodate the current curriculum was conducted, along with the case study on remodeling projects. The $7^{th}$ curriculum demands for a significant change in school facilities. The number of student in a class that has been on the decline, despite of steady increase in number of schools, and the population getting concentrated in Seoul and its suburbs have resulted in an increase in number of class. Consequently, more investment in the facility, rather than improving a substantial education environment, has been made. The study, thus, is aimed at identifying the facility of the high school required by the $7^{th}$ curriculum, as well as implementing a fact-finding investigation into the remodeling works far high schools in Seoul so as to come up with the guideline for remodeling projects.

The 2015 revised national curriculum has been implemented to first year students in elementary school, and will be expanded to middle school and high school from next year, 2018 school year. As of this year, the ways of implementing the curriculum and supporting teachers to better implement the curriculum into their classrooms are crucial. This study explores the implications for building curriculum supporting and implementing system by investigating relevant systems in foreign countries, such as Australia and England. In order to achieve the purpose, this study conducts literature review and previous studies in regards to the curriculum implementing and supporting system, interviews with curriculum developers and teachers, and analyzes their web-sites of the two countries. The results shows that active communication is essential among curriculum developers and curriculum implementers including school teachers and other stake-holders, and this communication can be achieved by building systematic ways; second, professional development for teachers should be recommended by supporting integrated and systematic teaching-learning process; third, the principal agent for curriculum implementation, school teachers, should have the autonomy for implementing the curriculum. The detailed ways for realizing the three implications are suggested.
