  • In this paper, we propose the delay sensitive traffic and a high bandwidth QoS service in order to supply real-time traffic such as VoIP, multimedia service. We use IntServ over DiffServ network to supply end-to-end QoS service in the IETF. We define the proposed QoS services which are Best, Good, Default service. We analyze the performance using NS simulator with end to end QoS service in IntServ over DiffServ network. The proposed billing system uses the Accounting, Authentication, Authorization (AAA) functions of RADIUS protocol and proposes the dynamic pricing method according to network usage state using end-to-end QoS of IntServ over DiffServ network. In order to secure billing system, we design and implement audit trail system by the IEEE POSIX.1E standard.

  • Most of the multimedia applications require strict quality of service (QoS) guarantee during the communication between a single source and multiple destinations. This gives rise to the need for an efficient QoS multicast routing strategy. Determination of such QoS-based optimal multicast routes basically leads to a multi-objective optimization problem, which is computationally intractable in polynomial time due to the uncertainty of resources in Internet. This paper describes a network model for researching the routing problem and proposes a new multicast tree selection algorithm based on genetic algorithms to simultaneously optimize multiple QoS parameters. The paper mainly presents a QoS multicast routing algorithm based on genetic algorithm (QMRGA). The QMRGA can also optimize the network resources such as bandwidth and delay, and can converge to the optimal or near-optimal solution within few iterations, even for the networks environment with uncertain parameters. The incremental rate of computational cost can close to polynomial and is less than exponential rate. The performance measures of the QMRGA are evaluated using simulations. The simulation results show that this approach has fast convergence speed and high reliability. It can meet the real-time requirement in multimedia communication networks.

  • Multicast Routings is a big challenge due to limitations such as node power and bandwidth Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). The path to be chosen from the source to the destination node requires protocols. Multicast protocols support group-oriented operations in a bandwidth-efficient way. While several protocols for multi-cast MANETs have been evolved, security remains a challenging problem. Consequently, MANET is required for high quality of service measures (QoS) such infrastructure and application to be identified. The goal of a MANETs QoS-aware protocol is to discover more optimal pathways between the network source/destination nodes and hence the QoS demands. It works by employing the optimization method to pick the route path with the emphasis on several QoS metrics. In this paper safe routing is guaranteed using the Secured Multicast Routing offered in MANET by utilizing the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) technique to integrate the QOS-conscious route setup into the route selection. This implies that only the data transmission may select the way to meet the QoS limitations from source to destination. Furthermore, the track reliability is considered when selecting the best path between the source and destination nodes. For the optimization of the best path and its performance, the optimized algorithm called the micro artificial bee colony approach is chosen about the probabilistic ant routing technique.

  • In this letter, we propose a new online buffer management algorithm to simultaneously provide diverse multimedia traffic services and enhance network performance. Our online approach exhibits dynamic adaptability and responsiveness to the current traffic conditions in multimedia networks. This approach can provide high buffer utilization and thereby improve packet loss performance at the time of congestion.

  • Wireless network systems provide fast data transmission rates and various services to users of mobile devices such as smartphones and smart pads. Because many people use high-performance mobile devices, the use of real-time multimedia services is increasing rapidly. However, the preoccupation of resources by real-time traffic users is causing harm to other services-for example, frequent call interference, lowered service quality, and poor network performance. This paper suggests a resource allocation algorithm for effective traffic service support in a hybrid network. The main objective is to obtain an optimum value of data rates by comparing user requirements with the amount of resources that can be allocated. A new mechanism based on Adaptive-Quality of Service (QoS) and a monitoring system based on Queue-Aware are proposed. Adaptive-QoS supports effective resource control according to the type of traffic service, and the monitoring system based on Queue-Aware measures the amount of resources in order to calculate the maximum that can be allocated. We apply our algorithm to a test system and use Qualnet 4.5.1 to evaluate its performance.

  • The requirement for QoS (Quality of Service) has become an important Issue as real-time or high bandwidth services are increasing, such as Internet Telephony, Internet broadcasting, and multimedia service etc. In order to guarantee the QoS of Internet application services, several approaches are being sought including IntServ (Integrated Service) DiffServ(Differentiated Srvices), and MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switching). In this paper, we describe the performance analysis of QoS guarantee mechanism using the DiffServ. To analyze how the DiffServ performance was affected by diverse input traffic models and the weight value in WFQ(Weighted Fair Queueing), we simulated and performed performance evaluation under a random, bursty, and self-similar input traffic models and for diverse input parameters. leased on the results of performance analysis, it was confirmed that significant difference exist in packet delay and loss depending on the input traffic models used. However, it was revealed that QoS guarantee is possible to the EF (expedited Forwarding) class and the service separation between RF and BE (Best Effort) classes may also be achieved. Next, we discussed the performance synthesis problem. (i. e. derived the conservation laws for a DiffServ networks, and analysed the performance variation and dynamic behavior based on the resource allocation (i.e., weight value) in WFQ.

  • The use of an efficient packet scheduling scheme for a forward link in satellite communication networks is very important to support fairness for each return channel satellite terminal (RCST) and the service differentiations for user traffics. To support fairness and QoS for each RCST with service-level agreement (SLA), the Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM) system in a satellite hub has to process packets with considering modulation and coding (MODCOD) and packet types. Although a DVB-S2 system with ACM scheme has higher transmission efficiency, it cannot offer fairness or quality of service (QoS) to RCSTs. Because the data are transmitted with high MODCOD in regions with clear skies, while data are transmitted using low MODCOD in regions experiencing rain events. In this paper, we propose a two-step scheduling scheme offering fairness and QoS to RCSTs, while minimizing a decrease in throughput. The proposed scheme is carried out performance evaluations using a computer simulation. As results of this simulation, the proposed scheduler was shown to support bandwidth fairness to an individual RCST, and provide a level of QoS differentiation for user traffics.

  • In high speed packet switching network, packet service by priority scheme prefer to QoS. Efficient packet service according to the priority scheme in high speed packet switch is a key point. Therefore development of priority service algorithm in the packet switch is very important. In this paper, we proposed W-iSLIP algorithm that service time take queue length into consideration and compared the proposed W-iSLIP algorithm to other previous proposed algorithm through simulation. Simulation results show 2.6% performance elevation in average delay, and 34.6% performance elevation in priority service.

  • Recently, due to the developing of broadband convergence networks, the high quality multimedia services which are converged with communication and broadcasting can be provided. These high quality communication and broadcasting convergence service needs reliable multicasting mechanism in IP networks. However, multicasting mechanism recently deployed is difficult to guarantee the end-to-end QoS. For the reliable high quality If multimedia IPTV service, the QoS guaranteed multicasting mechanism should be provided. Therefore, we proposed a probing packet based multicasting admission control mechanism using centralized multicasting control management block in this paper. And for the performance evaluation of the proposed mechanism, we used ns-2 simulator.

  • Normally, a distributed computing environment is flexible in controlling complex embedded systems but their software components are becoming complex as these systems are equipped with several platforms and attached to various electronic devices, sensors, and actuators. These systems requires inter-object communication mechanisms to provide fault tolerant and QoS-enabled middleware service support in a distributed system. Generally, a middleware performs analysis of the parameters to ensure the availability and reliability of data dissemination. This paper focuses in particular to designing an application middleware for the specific scenario to improve the high availability and fault tolerance of data thus improving the QoS (Quality of Service) of a distributed system. The performance of an adaptive and highly reliable middleware can be significant based on the selection of vital parameters of the system.
