  • The aim of this study is to develop economical High-Strength and High-Quality Concrete, and to assure quality control of Concrete in the field. For this purpose, Five types of Mixing Methods are examined and the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery by transport is studied. As a result, workability and strength are dependent on the Mixing Method, although the Mixing proportions are same, Also, adding admixture in the field is proposed as an alternative to consider the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery.

  • Recently, High accuracy and precision are required in various industrial field especially, semiconductor manufacturing apparatus, Ultra precision positioning apparatus, Information field and so on. Positioning technology is a very important one among them. For composition of this technology, the development of system with high speed and high resolution is needed. At start point and end position vibration must be repressed on this system for composition of position control. This vibration is arisen nose, is increased setting time, is reduced accuracy. Especially, repressed for the lead with high speed. The small actuator with high speed and high resolution is need to repression against this residual vibration. This actuator is, for example, piezo actuator, piezoelectric material that converting from electronic signal to mechanical force is adequate material, beacause of control of control to position and force. In this study, piezo electric material is used to actuator, ultra precision positioning apparatus with stage of hinge structure is designed, simulation is performed, control performance is tested by producing apparatus. For easy usage and stability in industrial field, we perform to simulation and to position control test by digital PID controller.

  • Transcranial magnetic stimulation requires an electric field composed of dozens of V/m to achieve stimulation. The stimulation system is composed of a stimulation coil to form the electric field by charging and discharging a capacitor in order to save energy, thus requiring high-pressure kV. In particular, it is charged and discharged in capacitor to discharge through stimulation coil within a short period of time (hundreds of seconds) to generate current of numerous kA. A pulse-type magnetic field is formed, and eddy currents within the human body are triggered to achieve stimulation. Numerous pulse forms must be generated to initiate eddy currents for stimulating nerves. This study achieved high internal pressure, a high number of repetitions, and rapid switching of elements, and it implemented numerous control techniques via introduction of the half-bridge parallel load method. In addition it applied a quick, accurate, high-efficiency charge/discharge method for transcranial magnetic stimulation to substitute an inexpensive, readily available, commercial frequency condenser for a previously used, expensive, high-frequency condenser. Furthermore, the pulse repetition rate was altered to control energy density, and grafts compact, one-chip processor with simulation to stably control circuit motion and conduct research on motion and output characteristics.

  • Gyeonggi science high school for the gifted (GSHS) installed 60cm telescope, which is waiting for student observers. It is essential to understand the characteristics of the photometric system, consisting of telescope, filter, and CCD, to get reliable data. CCD images of SA98 Landolt standard field and M67 were obtained on 19th March 2020. The images of each field were combined by filters, i.e., we ignored the monochromatic atmospheric extinction since the photometric objects themselves are standard stars. 24 standard stars in SA98 field and 12 standard stars in M67 were used to derive the tentative transformation equation between our bv photometric system and Johnson BV photometric system. In this poster, we present the preliminary standardization result for Johnson BV photometric system in GSHS 60cm telescope. The reproductivity is discussed by comparing color coefficients of two fields. We plan to extend this process to Johnsons-Cousins BVRI photometric system and narrow-band filters for flux calibration.

  • To better understand the physical processes that maintain the high-latitude lower thermospheric dynamics, we have identified relative contributions of the momentum forcing and the heating to the high-latitude lower thermospheric winds depending on the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) and altitude. For this study, we performed a term analysis of the potential vorticity equation for the high-latitude neutral wind field in the lower thermosphere during the southern summertime for different IMF conditions, with the aid of the National Center for Atmospheric Research Thermosphere-Ionosphere Electrodynamics General Circulation Model (NCAR-TIEGCM). Difference potential vorticity forcing and heating terms, obtained by subtracting values with zero IMF from those with non-zero IMF, are influenced by the IMF conditions. The difference forcing is more significant for strong IMF $B_y$ condition than for strong IMF $B_z$ condition. For negative or positive $B_y$ conditions, the difference forcings in the polar cap are larger by a factor of about 2 than those in the auroral region. The difference heating is the most significant for negative IMF $B_z$ condition, and the difference heatings in the auroral region are larger by a factor of about 1.5 than those in the polar cap region. The magnitudes of the difference forcing and heating decrease rapidly with descending altitudes. It is confirmed that the contribution of the forcing to the high-latitude lower thermospheric dynamics is stronger than the contribution of the heating to it. Especially, it is obvious that the contribution of the forcing to the dynamics is much larger in the polar cap region than in the auroral region and at higher altitude than at lower altitude. It is evident that when $B_z$ is negative condition the contribution of the forcing is the lowest and the contribution of the heating is the highest among the different IMF conditions.

  • Maintenance on the water chamber of steam generator during outage in nuclear power plants (NPPs) has a likelihood of high radiation exposure to whole body of workers even short time period due to the high radiation exposure rates. In particular, it is expected that hands would receive the highest radiation exposure because of its contact with radiation materials. In this study, characteristic analysis of inhomogeneous radiation fields for contact operations was conducted using thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) readouts from the application tests of two-dosimeter algorithm to Korean NPPs in 2004. It is regarded that inhomogeneous radiation fields for contact operations in NPPs are dominated by high energy photons. In addition, field tests for workers who participated in maintenance on the steam generator during outage at Ulchin NPPs in 2009 and pressure tube replacement at Wolsong NPPs in 2009 were conducted to analyze radiation fields and to estimate the extremity dose. As a result, radiation fields were dominated by high energy photons.

  • Rice blast caused by the filamentous fungus Magnaporthe oryzae, is arguably the most devastating rice disease worldwide. Development of a high-throughput and reliable field blast resistance evaluation system is essential for resistant germplasm screening, resistance genes identification and resistant varieties breeding. However, the occurrence of rice blast in paddy field is easily affected by various factors, particularly lack of sufficient inoculum, which always leads to the non-uniform occurrence and reduced disease severity. Here, we described a procedure for adequately inducing the occurrence of rice seedling blast in paddy field, which involves pretreatment of diseased straw, initiation of seedling blast for the first batch of spreader population, inducing the occurrence of the second batch of spreader population and test materials. This procedure enables uniform and consistent infection, which facilitates efficient and accurate assessment of seedling blast resistance for diverse rice materials.

  • A numerical simulation study of the solar coronal plasma reveals that a ballooning instability can develop in the course of flux rope merging. When magnetic field lines from different flux ropes reconnect, a new field line connecting farther footpoints is generated. Since the field line length abruptly increases, the field line expands outward. If the plasma beta is low, this expansion takes place more or less evenly over the whole field line. If, on the other hand, the plasma beta is high enough somewhere in this field line, the outward expansion is not even, but is localized as in a bulging balloon. This ballooning section of the magnetic field penetrates out of the overlying field, and eventually the originally underlying field and the overlying field come to interchange their apex positions. This process may explain how a field structure that has stably been confined by an overlying field can occasionally show a localized eruptive behavior.

  • The high frequency ultrasonic transducers using polyvinyliden fluoride(PVDF) and polyvinylidene fluoride trifluorethyylene(P(VDF-TrFE)) were developed. The characteristics of fabricated high frequency ultrasonic transducer such as beam diameter, high frequency ultrasonic detection field and amplitude of the first pulse echo signal from the test target in the water were analyzed. The high frequency ultrasonic detection field was affected by the length of coaxial cable between high frequency transducer and ultrasonic pulser/receiver. As the size of the test target increased, the high frequency detection field decreased and the amplitude of a reflection signal increased. The peak amplitude of the first pulse echo signal of P(VDF-TrFE) transducer was higher than that of PVDF transducer. The high frequency ultrasonic detection field of PVDF transducer was wider than that of P(VDF-TrFE) transducer. With C-scan testing, the developed high frequency ultrasonic transducer could detect the 30 to $100{\mu}m$ of hydrogen induced crack of steel specimen by C-scan testing.
