초고온 열하중 부가장치 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of the Super High Temperature Thermal Test Equipment)

  • 본 논문은 램프의 수명저하 없이 $1,000^{\circ}C$이상의 초고온 급속가열 환경을 지속적으로 모사할 수 있고 기존 사용해온 열하중 부가장치 대비 내구성과 신뢰성이 향상된 열하중 부가장치를 개발하여 초고속 비행체 날개의 구조 건전성 평가에 적용, 그 활용가능성을 수록한 내용이다. 본 시험을 통하여 초고온의 운용환경에 노출되는 비행체 날개의 공력가열에 의한 강성저하를 정량적으로 예측할 수 있었으며, 향후 비약적인 증가추세에 있는 공력가열온도를 경험하게 되는 극초음속 비행체에 대한 고온환경에서의 구조 강도특성 평가가 가능해짐으로써 시험 신뢰성 향상과 함께 고온구조강도시험 수행능력을 한 단계 도약시킬 수 있는 계기가 되었다.

실리콘 서브 마운틴 기반의 LED 패키지 재료평가 및 신뢰성 시험 (Reliability Testing and Materials Evaluation of Si Sub-Mount based LED Package)

  • The light emitting diodes(LED) package of new structure is proposed to promote the reliability and lifespan by maximize heat dissipation occurred on the chip. We designed and fabricated the LED packages mixing the advantages of chip on board(COB) based on conventional metal printed circuit board(PCB) and the merits of Si sub-mount using base as a substrate. The proposed LED package samples were selected for the superior efficiency of the material through the sealant properties, chip characteristics, and phosphor properties evaluations. Reliability test was conducted the thermal shock test and flux rate according to the usage time at room temperature, high-temperature operation, high-temperature operation, high-temperature storage, low-temperature storage, high-temperature and high-humidity storage. Reliability test result, the average flux rate was maintained at 97.04% for each items. Thus, the Si sub-mount based LED package is expected to be applicable to high power down-light type LED light sources.

TIG 용접한 저방사화 페라이트강 (JLF-1)의 고온강도 및 피로수명특성 (High Temperature Tensile Strength and Fatigue Life Characteristics for Reduced Activation Ferritic Steel (JLF-1) by TIG Welding)

  • The fatigue life and tensile strength of JLF-1 steel (Fe-9Cr-2W-V-Ta) and its TIG weldment were investigated at the room temperature and $400^{\circ}C$. Four kinds of test specimens, which associated with the rolling direction and the TIG welding direction were machined. The base metal of JLF-1 steel represented almost anisotropy in the tensile properties for the rolling direction. And the base metal of JLF-1 steel showed lower strength than that of TIG weldment. Also, the strength of all materials entirely decreased in accordance with elevating test temperature. Moreover, the fatigue limit of weld metal was largely increase than that of base metal at both temperatures. The fatigue limit of JLF-1 steel decreased in accordance with elevating test temperature. The fatigue limit of JLF-1 steel decreased in accordance with elevating test temperature. The SEM fractography of tensile test specimen showed conspicuous cleavage fracture of a radial shape. In case of fatigue life test specimen, there were so many striations at crack initiation region, and dimple was observed at final fracture region as a ductile fracture mode.

양생온도 변화가 고성능 콘크리트의 압축강도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Curing Temperature for Compressive Strength of High Performance Concrete)

  • The object of this study is to define the characteristics of high performance concrete with varing compressive strength of concrete and curing temperature. The major test variables are 1) high strength concrete(500kg/$cm^2$) and ordinary strength concrete(240kg/$cm^2$) compressive strength, 2) curing temperature and condition, 3) concrete curing age, 4) three types of cement. From the test results were shown that curing temperature and curing conditions were also very effective for high strength concrete and ordinary strength concrete, and concrete were largely effected by cement type and temperature during the hydration reaction process. This paper describes the effect of curing temperature for strength and characteristics of high performance concrete.

소형가스루프 시험조건에서 중형 공정열교환기 시제품의 고온구조해석 (High-Temperature Structural Analysis on the Medium-Scale PHE Prototype under the Test Condition of Small-Scale Gas Loop)

  • A PHE (Process Heat Exchanger) in a nuclear hydrogen system is a key component required to transfer heat energy of $950^{\circ}C$ generated in a VHTR (Very High Temperature Reactor) to a chemical reaction that yields a large quantity of hydrogen. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute has established a small-scale gas loop for the performance test on VHTR components and recently has manufactured a medium-scale PHE prototype made of Hastelloy-X. A performance test on the PHE prototype is scheduled in the gas loop. In this study, high-temperature structural analysis modeling, and macroscopic thermal and structural analysis of the medium-scale PHE prototype by imposing the established displacement boundary constraints in the previous research were carried out under the gas loop test condition. The results obtained in this study will be compared with performance test results.

  • To evaluate the variation of spring stiffness in nuclear plant operating condition, load-displacement tests ($P-{\delta}$ test) were performed using two kinds of space grid springs in high temperature and high pressure water. With increasing temperature, stiffness of each spring gradually decreased except $100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$. It is apparently showed that spring with convex shape had a relatively high stability of spring stiffness at high temperature compared with I-shaped spring. It is suggested that the variation of spring stiffness with temperature and spring shape should be considered as an important variable in the design and analysis of the fuel assembly.

  • To investigate failure analysis of surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter for radio frequency, high temperature storage test was carried out. The failure criteria were insertion loss at passband and rejection level at stopband. As a result, the insertion loss at passband increase about 4 dB was due to damages of interdigital transducer (IDT). That is caused by poor adhesion between metal electrode(AI) and piezoelectric substrate and defects on a manufacturing process. This result indicates that good adhesion between electrode and ceramic substrate is important factor And also we investigated the demage factors of electrode. Screen possible of saw filter using high temperature storage test(HTOL) in the manufacturing phase be presented.

  • 박형 package-on-package에 대해 T/H (temperature/humidity) 시험, TC (temperature cycling) 시험과 HTS(high temperature storage) 시험을 사용하여 신뢰성을 분석하였다. T/H 시험은 $85^{\circ}C/85%$의 조건으로 500시간, TC 시험은 $-40{\sim}100^{\circ}C$의 조건으로 1000회, HTS 시험은 $155^{\circ}C$의 조건으로 1,000시간 범위에서 평가하였다. 폴리이미드 써멀테이프를 사용하여 제작한 24개의 package-on-package (PoP) 시편에 대해 신뢰성 시험 전에 측정한 솔더접속 배선의 평균저항은 $0.56{\pm}0.05{\Omega}$이었으며, 24개 시편에서 모두 유사한 값이 측정되었다. 500시간까지의 T/H 시험, 1000회의 TC 시험 및 1,000시간까지의 HTS 시험후에도 솔더 접속부의 오픈 불량은 발생하지 않았다.

초음파에 의한 발전소 고온배관재료의 크리프손상 평가 (Creep Damage Evaluation of High-Temperature Pipeline Material for Fossil Power Plant by Ultrasonic Test Method)

  • Boiler high-temperature pipelines such as main steam pipe, header and steam drum in fossil power plants are degraded by creep damage due to severe operationg conditions which are high temperature and high pressure for an extended period time. Such material degradation leads to various component failures causing serious accidents at the plants. Conventional measurement techniques such as replica method, electric resistance method, and hardness test method have such disadvantages as complex preparation and measurement procedures, too many control parameters, and therefore, low practicality and they were applied only to component surfaces with good accessibility. In this paper, artificial creep degradation test and ultrasonic measurement for their creep degraded specimens have been carried out for the purpose of evaluation for creep damage which can occur in high-temperature pipeline of fossil power plant. Absolute measuring method of quantitative ultrasonic measurement for material degradation was established, and long term creep degradationtests using life prediction formula were carried out. As a result of ultrasonic tests for crept specimens, we confirmed that the sound velocity decreased and the attenuation coefficient linearly increased in proportion to the increase of creep fractiin(${\phi}$c).

유압펌프 및 모터 피스톤 조립체의 수명예측을 위한 가속실험 모델 (Accelerated Life Test Model for Life Prediction of Piston Assemblies in Hydraulic Pump and Motor)

  • The safety factor of hydraulic piston pumps & motors due to high pressurization, high speedization and low weight/volume realization to enhance the output density shows a tendency to decrease. Therefore more effective test methods are necessary to predict the exact life. The failure of hydraulic pumps & motors operating in high pressure and high speed mainly occurs in piston-shoe assemblies, and the major failure mode is wearout of the shoe surface. The sensitive parameters in the endurance life test are speed, pressure and temperature, and the failure production increases in proportion to the operating time. In this research, the authors propose the combined accelerated life test model using the analysis method of the combined accelerated life test results of piston-shoe assemblies by applying simultaneously high speed, high pressure and high temperature in accordance with variation of speed, pressure and temperature to reduce the life test time.
