공간다중화 MIMO 시스템을 위한 Soft Output 성능향상 기법 (A Soft Output Enhancement Technique for Spatially Multiplexed MIMO Systems)

  • 무선통신 채널에서 높은 전송 속도를 가능하게 하는 공간다중화 MIMO 시스템에서 다중화된 신호를 검출하는 것은 어려운 작업이며, 최근 다양한 신호검출 기법들이 개발되었다. 다양한 신호검출기법 중 maximum likelihood detection with QR decomposition and M-algorithm (QRM-MLD), sphere decoding (SD), QOC, MOC와 같은 기법들은 maximum liklihood (ha)기법과 유사한 경판정 달성한다. 그러나 일반적으로 이러한 기법들은 soft output의 신뢰도가 저하되는 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 기존 신호검출기법들의 soft output 신뢰도를 향상시키는 기법을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통하여 기존의 기법들과 결합시 제안된 방법에 의해 개선된 성능을 얻을 수 있음을 보인다.

협력기반 인증 기법을 통한 라우팅 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Routing Performance Improvement through Cooperation Authentication Technique)

  • The main security threats in MANET are integrity and non-repudiation. In the meantime, a lot of secure routing protocols have been designed in order to block these security threats. In this paper, partnership-based authentication technique is proposed in order to provide participation exclusion of network and non-repudiation for the nodes. The proposed technique is a technique that participates in data communication for only the nodes receiving the authentication through the authentication process for the nodes. For this, the proposed technique is largely consists of two steps. The first step is the process that issued the certificate after the reliability for the nodes participating in the network is evaluated. And in the second step, the key exchange agreement with the neighbor nodes is performed and data communication is made after setting security path with responding nodes. The level of security in data transmission is improved because the process of path setting is performed through cooperation with a neighboring nodes having high reliability during the course of these two steps. The superiority of proposed technique in this paper was confirmed through the comparative experiment.

  • P2P 분산시스템에서 각 피어들은 항상 온라인 상태를 유지하지 않는다. P2P 시스템은 각 피어들은 하나의 시스템의 구성 요소로써 유기적으로 작동되는 일반적인 시스템과 다른 것이다. 이런 경우 P2P 시스템을 이용하는 사용자에게는 신뢰성이 떨어지는 시스템이 될 수 있는 것이다. 이에 많은 P2P 연구에서 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 시도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다운로드 되고 있는 자원에 대해 신뢰성 있는 연결을 제공하기 위해 다방향 프로세싱 P2P 검색 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존 연구에서는 새로운 자원 제공 피어의 선택을 위한 로딩 부담률이 높았는데 본 연구에서는 이를 해결하고자 한다.

In this study, the excellent long-term reliability, using ultrasonic-type environment that is not constrained to produce wind anemometer located $90^{\circ}$ conformal road using four piezoelectric sensors were fabricated structures, the piezoelectric oscillator circuit produces a rash and receiving transmit and receive speeds the car through the two-axis vector calculation to measure wind velocity processor firmware programming, and its characteristics were tested.

침탄 및 고주파 열처리한 치차의 굽힘피로강도 평가 (Bending Fatigue Strength of Carburized and Induction Hardened Gears)

  • To enhance the strength of gears for transmission, Generally caburizing heat treatment is applied. But there are some problems in this technology the distortion of gears during heat treatment process, and the discontinuity of manufacturing process. For these reasons, the high frequency induction hardening process is widely used. This method is one of the surface hardening process to improve the wear resistance and fatigue life of the machine components. In this study, to compare the bending fatigue strength of caburized gear with that of induction hardened gear, bending fatigue testing of gears with two different cases was performed by using an electrohydraulic servo-controlled fatigue testing machine and double tooth bending fatigue test fixture. Fatigue life distributions at constant stress levels were established directly from fatigue data. For gear design, the fatigue strength distribution at specified life is more important. This distribution is obtained by statical transformation from fatigue life distribution. Reliability of bending fatigue strength was estimated by P-S-N curves and Weibull distribution.

스마트그리드를 위한 초고속 전력선통신기술 연구 (Study on Very High-Rate Power Line Communications for Smart Grid)

  • In this paper, we study on the reliability of Very High-rate Power Line Communication (VH-PLC) for Smart Grid, so that the resultant data rate is over 400Mbps at a physical layer. Firstly, reviewing the research trend of the PLC, we discuss the required techniques for supporting the Smart Grid. Considering a pre-specification with the value of several parameters, we investigate a multi-carrier modulation technique to overcome limitations of higher rate transmission under power line channel environments. Then, we propose a system specification of the VH-PLC in the sense of enhancing two features. One is resolving the problem of the co-existence of the deployed high-speed PLC according to the published standardization of KS X 4600-1 in Korea. The other is getting better performance on the grid adopting the diverse element techniques, such as multi-carrier modulation, a subcarrier utilization mode, a variable rate LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code, and a time and frequency diversity technique. Further, a simulation tool, composed of an Event-Driven simulator and a Time-Driven simulator, is developed for the purpose of verifying the system performance and continuously cross-checking the test bench signal of the proposed VH-PLC system.

Wide-Input Range Dual Mode PWM / Linear Buck Converter with High robustness ESD Protection Circuit

  • This paper proposes a high-efficiency, dual-mode PWM / linear buck converter with a wide-input range. The proposed converter was designed with a mode selector that can change the operation between PWM / linear mode by sensing a load current. The proposed converter operates in a linear mode during a light load and in PWM mode during a heavy load condition in order to ensure high efficiency. In addition, the mode selector uses a bit counter and a transmission gate designed to protect from a malfunction due to noise or a time-delay. Also, in conditions between $-40^{\circ}C$ and $140^{\circ}C$, the converter has variations in temperature of $0.5mV/^{\circ}C$ in the PWM mode and of $0.24mV/^{\circ}C$ in the linear mode. Also, to prevent malfunction and breakdown of the IC due to static electricity, the reliability of IC was improved by embedding a self-produced 8 kV-class(Chip level) ESD protection circuit of a P-substrate Triggered SCR type with high robustness characteristics.

BaTiO3 세라믹 내 희토류(Dy, Y, Ho) 첨가 효과 (The Doping Effects of Intermediate Rare-earth Ions (Dy, Y and Ho) on BaTiO3 Ceramics)

  • The electrical property and microstructure in $BaTiO_3$ ceramics doped rare-earth ions with intermediate ionic size ($Dy^{3+},Ho^{3+},Y^{3+}$) were investigated. Microstructures have been characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Incorporation of rare-earth ions to $BaTiO_3$ ceramics depended on their ionic radius sensitively. Compared to Ho and Y ions, Dy ions provide $BaTiO_3$ ceramics with the high rate of densification and well-developed shell formation, due to their high solubility in the $BaTiO_3$ lattice, but the microstructure of Dy doped $BaTiO_3$ ceramics is unstable at high temperature, because Dy ions could not play a role of grain growth inhibition, leading to diffuse into $BaTiO_3$ lattice continuously after completion of densification during sintering. Comparing electrical property and microstructure, it is shown that the reliability of capacitor improved by high shell ratio.

VANET 환경에서 멀티 비콘을 적용한 충돌 회피 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study of Collision Avoidance Algorithm Based on Multi-Beacon in the Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)

  • In ubiquitous environments, the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) protocol is a typical service used to improve the quality of life for humans. The Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) protocol, a part of ITS, needs further study with regards to its support for high reliability, high speed mobility, data transmission efficiency, and so on. The IEEE 802.11 standard provides a high data rate channel, but it was designed for peer-to-peer network protocols. IEEE 802.11p also provides a high data rate channel, however, it only facilitates communication between roadside and on-board equipment. A VANET has characteristics that enable its topology to change rapidly; it can also be expanded to a multi-hop range network during communication. Therefore, the VANET protocol needs a way to infer the current topology information relating to VANET equipped vehicles. In this paper, we present the Multi-Beacon MAC Protocol, and propose a method to resolve the problem of beacon collisions in VANET through the use of this Multi-Beacon MAC protocol. Evaluation of the performance of Multi-Beacon MAC protocol by means of both mathematical analyses and simulation experiments indicate that the proposed method can effectively reduce beacon collisions and improve the throughput and the delay between vehicles in VANET systems.

UDT 기반의 대용량 데이터 전송도구 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Bulk Data Transmission Tool based on UDT)

  • 고 대역폭을 지원하는 네트워크 인프라가 급격히 발전하면서 이를 활용한 대용량의 데이터를 사용하는 원거리 사용자 사이에 협업에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 현재까지 주로 사용되는 TCP 기반의 전송프로토콜은 RTT가 큰 네트워크 환경에서 대용량 데이터 전송 시 충분한 성능을 얻지 못하고 있다. 이로 인해 최근 효율적인 대역폭 활용을 위한 새로운 전송기법들이 시도되고 있다. UDT(UDP-based Data Transfer protocol)는 UDP를 기반으로 응용계층에서 TCP와 같은 데이터 전송의 신뢰성과 안정성을 보장하기 위해 개발된 대표적인 대용량 데이터 전송프로토콜이다. 본 논문에서는 UDT를 기반으로 대용량 데이터 전송을 위한 병렬, 압축 전송기법을 적용한 전송도구를 설계, 구현한다. 실험은 실제 환경을 구성하여 병렬, 압축 전송기법의 성능향상 효과를 분석하고, 이를 기준으로 다른 대용량 데이터 전송 도구와 성능을 비교한다. 실험결과 제안기법이 UDT보다 RTT가 큰 구간에서 안정적이며 큰 성능향상을 보인다. 특히, 손실 없는 RTT 400ms 구간에서 UDT 대비 244%, 손실률 0.005%의 RTT 250ms 구간에서 229%의 성능향상을 확인하였다.
