Consumption Attribute Value Estimation of Digital Music Contents Service by Conjoint Analysis (컨조인트 분석을 통한 디지털 음악콘텐츠 서비스의 소비 속성별 가치 추정)

  • In the last 10 years the digital music contents market has grown rapidly. However digital music contents product and services are not managed with product planning and price policy considered customer attitude and digital music contents values. This study is to define the value properties of digital music contents services based on streaming and download as genre, price, sound quality, and usage appliance, and suggest the strategic market price and service composition of digital music contents service by customer attitudes about the value properties. The research used the conjoint analysis methodology based on the hedonic price model and collected 405 questionaries by users of Korean digital music contents services to the analysis. Hence 'sound quality' in download platform, and 'appliance' in streaming platform were the elements to evaluate the customer attitude. The results present the music contents productions and companies have to provide the differentiated services and price by the value properties of user preference in the market.

Getting Emotional about Quality: Questioning and Elaborating the Satisfaction Concept

  • Consumption has generally become more fragmented, hedonic and individual specific, satisfying not only functional but also emotional needs. In parallel, customer satisfaction is now thought to be both a cognitive and affective response, and the closely related concept of job satisfaction is commonly seen as an emotional reaction. The reasoning within quality management does, however, still lean heavily toward cognitive judgements (i.e. performance ratings), the emotional component clearly being under explored. Further, performance variables have shown not to be significant in predicting satisfaction for certain 'experience products', the effect fully mediated by emotions. As a consequence a cognitive judgement based quality concept has lost its ability to predict satisfaction, which clearly contradicts with the modem quality definition, stressing quality as the ability to satisfy the customer. Emotions have however entered the quality discourse and it has been proposed that having customers that are merely feeling satisfied will not suffice. Instead, there has been a plethora of executive exhortations in the trade press calling on business to 'delight the customer'. Strategies for doing so have however usually been imprecise and unclear, and the different drivers of delight and satisfaction are not well explored. This paper aims to complement the previous cognitive dominance by exploring the multiple emotional responses involved in customer satisfaction. A conclusion being that we currently are measuring something, in terms of satisfied, that is more or less independent of what we aim for, in terms of delight. It is also most likely that - depending on the situation, product, and person - other positive and negative emotions are more important outcomes of purchase and usage than merely satisfaction. It is questioned whether a single, summary response such as satisfaction is feasible or even desirable.

Processing and Quality Characteristics of Glutinous Barley Gruel Containing Hizikia fusiformis (톳(Hizikia fusiformis)을 첨가한 흰찰쌀보리죽의 제조 및 품질특성)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the physicochemical characteristics, perform a sensory evaluation of glutinous barley gruel after adding Hizikia fusiformis powder to promote consumption, and identify the best ratio and recipe. The gruel was prepared with rice and glutinous barley powder, and various levels (0, 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5%) of H. fusiformis powder. pH, color, viscosity, and spreadability of the gruel were investigated. A sensory evaluation was conducted by 20 panelists in the categories of color, flavor, taste, texture appearance, and overall preference using a 9-point hedonic scale. The viscosity and pH of the gruel increased as H. fusiformis powder content increased, whereas spreadability of the gruel decreased gradually as H. fusiformis powder content increased. As the level of H. fusiformis powder increased, lightness decreased significantly, whereas redness and yellowness increased. Color, bitter taste, and H. fusiformis flavor of the gruel increased significantly as H. fusiformis powder content increased. On the other hand, sweet taste (delicious taste level) and viscosity were not different among the different gruels. The sensory test results indicated that the gruel with 5% H. fusiformis powder had the best overall acceptability. In conclusion, glutinous barley gruel with 5% added H. fusiformis powder was more acceptable than the others.

Cognitive, Emotional and Behavioral Responses on In-Store Shopping Environment according to Apparel Shopping Orientation (의류쇼핑성향에 따른 점포 내 환경에 대한 인지적${\cdot}$감정적${\cdot}$행동적 반응)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the difference on the consumer's cognitive response, emotional and behavioral response in regard of the in-store shopping environment according to their apparel shopping orientation. The subjects of this study were consumers who finished shopping in the stores, and 300 questionnaires were completed. Data collected in this survey were analyzed by using Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and Duncan test as a post identification. The results were as follows; 1. A significant difference was found on cognitive responses in regard of the in-store environment, such as a store atmosphere, salespeople, the assortment of products, and the fashion of products, according to types of apparel shopping orientation. The hedonic shopping type tended to have the higher evaluation toward a store atmosphere and salespeople than did other types. 2. Results showed statistically significant differences on emotional responses such as the outward/inward pleasure and outward/inward displeasure of the in-store shopping environment according to apparel shopping orientation types. The outward pleasure was found most highly in the high involvement shopping type. 3. There were significant differences on behavioral responses of the in-store shopping environment, such as the shopping satisfaction, the store revisit intention, recommending to others, and the unexpected consumption, according to apparel shopping orientation types.

The Effect of 360-degree VR Tourism Contents Motivations, Flow, Continuance Usage Intention on Visit Intention - For Chinese Student in Korea (360° VR 관광 콘텐츠의 이용동기, 플로우, 지속사용의도가 방문의도에 미치는 영향 - 한국 체류 중국인 유학생 대상으로)

  • Recently, tourism and leisure related VR contents have gained attention of potential tourists. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze investigate the effects of 360-degree VR tourism contents motivations, flow, continuance usage intention on visit intention for Chinese student in Korea. This study found that hedonic benefit and personal benefit exerted a positive influence on visit intention of contents users. However, vividness and usability did not influence on visit intention. Moreover, flow exerted a significant influence on visit intention but continuance usage intention did not influence on visit intention. The study is significant in shedding light on whether the motivations, flow, continuance usage intention of 360-degree VR tourism contents influences visit intention. It is suggested that the consumption of 360-degree VR tourism contents can be a useful marketing tool for strength of intention to visit.

  • As the consumption paradigm shifts from 'possession' to 'subscription', the subscription economy market is growing rapidly. The subscription economy is characterized by the fact that consumers can pay for and purchase products and services and use them limitedly for a limited time. Therefore, this study examined the effect of subjective perception of the time (duration) of consumers' subscription service use on subscription intention according to the time presentation method (duration/date) of subscription service use. In addition, the effect of differences in time presentation methods according to the type of subscription service (utility/hedonic) on subscription intention was examined. As a result of the study, the willingness to subscribe was higher when offering by date than when offering by date. In addition, for subscription services consumed for practical purposes, there was no difference in the effect on subscription intention according to the time presentation method. appeared to be Based on these results, the theoretical significance and practical implications of this study were presented.

소비효율성 개념을 이용한 혁신의 이해

  • 다양한 제품들이 존재하는 시장에는 타 제품에 비하여 품질대비 가격이 낮은 혁신적인 경쟁력있는 제품과 그렇지 못한 제품들이 혼재하고 있다. 그러나 정보의 부족(limited information), 제한적 합리성(bounded rationality) 등 여러 가지 원인으로 인하여 혁신적인 제품들만이 소비자들에게 선택되어 소비되는 것은 아니다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 현상을 설명하기 위하여 소비효율성(consumption efficiency)라는 개념을 도입, 제시하고자 한다. 만약 소비효율성이 극도로 낮다면 혁신적인 제품을 내어놓는다 하더라도 소비자들에게 선택되어 이윤이 발생될 확률이 낮기 때문에 생산자 입장에서는 혁신의 유인(innovation incentive)이 낮아질 수밖에 없게 된다. 이처럼 소비효율성의 문제는 혁신의 유인과 결과를 이해하는데 중요한 단초를 제공할 수 있게 된다. 이에 반하여 혁신을 이해하기 위한 기존의 분석틀은 생산경제이론(production economics)에 기반하고 있고, 효율성의 개념도 생산효율성(production efficiency) 혹은 기술적 효율성(technical efficiency)의 범주에서 다루어져 왔다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 소비효율성의 개념은 효용이론에 근거하고 있다는 점에서 기존 연구와 차별화된다. 본 연구는 효용함수 극대화이론에서 출발하여 경계헤도닉함수(frontier hedomic function)을 도출하는 이론적 유도과정을 제시한다. 실증분석을 위해서는 SFA(Stochastic Frontier Analysis)의 방법론 체계를 적용하였다. 제시된 분석틀은 국내 PC산업의 데이터에 적용되었다. 분석의 결과 몇 가지 가정하에 국내 PC산업이 약 13%정도의 비효율성을 안고 있는 것으로 판단할 수 있으며, 초기혁신구매자(early adopter)들은 일정 정도의 비효율성을 기꺼이 감수할 것으로 분석되었다. 궤적 분석에서는 각 산업별 기술의 특성을 분석하는 것으로, 특정 기술 지식의 활용 기간을 통해 기술 주기를 도출하고, 산업 내 평균 권리 청구 항목 수를 이용하여 각 산업의 기술 범위를 비교하였다. 각각의 동적 분석을 통해 시간에 따른 변화 양상이 관찰하였고, ANOVA 분석을 이용하여 통계적 유의성을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 현재의 기술 패러다임 내에서 Pavitt이 제시한 산업 분류의 근거를 보충 설명하였고 특허 정보를 이용하여 기술혁신의 산업별 유형에 대한 폭넓은 분석방법을 제시하였다.별 시간대별 효과분석을 통하여 정책의 시행여부가 결정되어야 할 것이다. 한편, 화물전용차선의 설치로 인한 물류비용의 절감을 보다 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압주입시험에서도 확인된다..   • As part of the sharing economy service, the present study is not only about the positive aspects of O2O services, but also about the consumer ethical perceptions of recent conflicts with existing business and labor markets, trust of platform, and service utility on consumer satisfaction and intention to recommend O2O services. To test hypotheses, data were collected and analyzed for 149 samples, focusing on the car sharing service, an example of the sharing economy service, which is becoming an issue. As a result, the ethical self-identity of the consumer, the trust of the platform, and the service utility, all affected the service satisfaction, whereas only the hedonic utility and trust of the platform had a positive effect on the intention to recommendation. This study is meaningful in that it examines the influence of service utility focusing on ethical consciousness and social perspective of consumers, rather than on the point of consumption such as ethical consumption position and trust of platform based on sharing economy service.

The Consumption Patterns of Korean Native Chicken (식품 소비 성향에 따른 토종닭 구매요인 분석)

  • This study examined how consumer choices (i.e., selecting food safety certified products, health-related products, and familiar brands) affect the purchase of Korean native chicken (KNC) and the demographics that influence KNC purchases using secondary consumer panel data from the Rural Development Administration of Korea. The grocery purchase data from 654 Korean households between 2017 and 2019 were used; the propensity for food safety certified products was measured by the purchasing frequency of Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) products, and the propensity for health-related products was measured by the purchasing frequency of home meal replacement (HMR) and hedonic products. The propensity to purchase familiar brands was measured using a questionnaire. Logistic regression was used to examine the determinants of the KNC purchase experience, and multiple linear regression was used to determine the factors that influenced the KNC purchase frequency. The results showed that unemployed women purchased more safety certified products, health-related products, familiar brands, and KNC. These findings suggest that targeting consumers with differential marketing strategies may help promote KNC consumption. This study identified factors that influence KNC purchases, which is important for understanding consumer behavior and revitalizing the market.

  • This study tried to understand the structural relationship of consumer characteristics on consumer emotions and satisfaction in online shopping. First, consumer characteristics derived various tendencies through previous studies. Next, consumer emotion was defined as positive and negative emotions in the six purchasing processes from information search to use, and satisfaction was defined as the overall satisfaction of the purchasing experience. To this end, this study measured consumer satisfaction and positive/negative emotions in the six consumption processes in their 20s and 40s with online clothing shopping experience within the last month. Finally, structural equation modeling(SEM) was conducted. As a result, the model fit was good, and impulse purchase tendency, conspicuous consumption tendency, innovation tendency, and trendy shopping tendency only affected negative emotions. On the other hand, it was confirmed that information search tendency, hedonic shopping tendency, and economic shopping tendency directly affect positive emotions and indirectly affect consumer satisfaction. Through this, implications for improving the consumer experience in online shopping were presented by identifying consumer characteristics and enhancing consumer emotions.
