The effects which work events were experienced by employees on the service quality in local healthy family support center: mediating effect of affective reaction and job satisfaction (건강가정지원센터 종사자가 경험하는 작업사건이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향: 정서반응과 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine effects which work events and affective reaction were experienced by employees on job satisfaction and service quality in local healthy family support center for family health enhancement. For the purpose, survey were conducted with employees working in 56 local healthy family support centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi region, and final data were resulted from analysis of 319 examines of those employees. The results of this study were as follows. First, work events had a significant effect on the affective reaction. Second, affective reaction had a significant effect on the job satisfaction. Third, job satisfaction had a significant effect on the service quality. Fourth, affective reaction worked as mediators between the work events and job satisfaction, affective reaction and job satisfaction worked as double mediators between work events and service quality. Based on those findings, we can propose practical and political implications towards improving service quality considering the work experience of personnel in the healthy family support center.

Counseling Services and Work Conditions Perceived by Counselors in Healthy Family Support Centers (상담실무자가 지각한 건강가정지원센터의 상담업무와 근무환경)

  • The present study investigated counseling services and work conditions perceived by counselors in Healthy Family Support Centers. Questionnaire survey by mail was used to collect data from 32 counselors in Healthy Family Support Centers. Major findings of this study were as follows. First, many counselors in Healthy Family Support Centers perceived work load of counseling services heavily though they thought counseling work attractive and they would keep on working. Second, many counselors had a positive view of work conditions as a workplace but not a few of them complained about physical work conditions including poor facilities like lack of counseling room space in Centers. In addition to this, many suggestions were proposed to improve the counseling services and work conditions perceived by counselors in Healthy Family Support Centers.

  • The purpose of this study is to constitute the background theory and framework for developing the family-empowering program of Healthy Family-Support Center(HFSC). For this purpose, first, this study emphasizes that the development of integrated and differentiated program for HFSC is needed. Second, this study shows the theoretical background including ecological system theory, family system analysis theory, and family life coaching process. Third, assessment and evaluation system and subsystems are suggested as a basic frame for developing family life diagnosis tool. This system is based on the comparative analysis about the studies relating family life planning and case management. Fourth, the process of family empowering program is suggested to accomplish the family needs and goals. This process include the assessment, family life coaching for problem solving and/or family life planning, and following education and counselling. Last, this study shows how this program is related to other programs of HFSC. Family members can participate various programs of this center for preventing or solving the problem on the basis of evaluation results. Family-empowering program for making family healthy can be a representative and integrating program for this center.

Effects of the Network Characteristics of Healthy Family Support Center on its Performance (건강가정지원센터의 네트워크 특성이 사업성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purposes of this study are to explore the effect of the network characteristics of Healthy Family Support Center on its performance, and also to investigate the mediating effect of the organizational properties on the performance. We used the data from 148 healthy family support centers in National Survey in Korea. The analytic sample for this study consists of 102 responses.(response rate=68.9%) Multivariate regression model estimated the effects of the network's structural, interactive and functional characteristics and the interaction between the network's characteristics and organizational properties on the performance The findings of this study demonstrate that healthy family support centers with higher closeness centrality and with better functional characteristics reported more performances. Moreover, Centers that are more independent in organizational properties showed higher performances. However, the findings did not show that the interaction between the network's characteristics and organizational properties mediates on the performance.

  • This purpose of research is to offer basic materials for analyzing organizational structure in an effort to develop a standardized model that considers regional characteristics with the ultimate goal being the establishment of a National Health and Family Support Center. Research methods include aliterature survey data. The research target is 94 centers run by the National Health Family Support Center training. These are assessed in terms of their regional characteristics. The objectives of this paper are as follows: 1. To look at the present National Healthy Family Support Center's yearly conditions investigate the regional characteristics. 2. To analyze the National Healthy Family Support Center's annual organizational managements and operations characteristics. 3. To analyze the National Healthy Family Support Center's regional characteristics (Urban-only-, Urban-Rural Integration, Rural-only-) in terms of its organizational management and operations. First, at the national, county, and ward levels, Health and Family Support Center can have family intervention purpose. Regional Center should be operated to keep pace with custom of different regions. Standardization can also be beneficial, including considerations such as agricultural needs and a type center.   • The purpose of this study was to propose theoretical-practical strategies of family-based intervention for the "Healthy Family-Support Center." The theoretical background used was an ecological approach, that is, taking viewpoints of client family's microsystems as well as those of exo- and macrosystems. This study raised several critical points in researching and developing family-based intervention programs. Based on a review of the literature, the study indicated why an ecological, family-based intervention model was a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare and to deliver possible assistance and solutions for them.

A Basic Study on a Management Plan for Family Education Professionals in Korea (우리나라 가족교육 전문인력의 양성과 관리방안을 위한 기초연구)

  • Family education service for healthy families has increased steadily over the past ten years since the Healthy Family Act was enacted. The Purpose of this study aims to investigate the current state of family education professionals such as family life educators and healthy family specialists, and also suggest a management plan for them. The data used was collected from literature regarding family life educators and healthy family specialists, reports and home pages of Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Korean Institute for Healthy Family, Healthy Family Support Center in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, Korean Association of Family Relations, etc. The major suggestions are as follows: 1) empowerment of family education professionals, 2) development of the workplace for family education professionals, 3) development and promotion of various education programs for families, 4) improvement of the capability of family education professionals response to a low fertility-ageing society, 5) collaborative networking between family life educators and healthy family specialists. This study contributes to provide insights on how to train and manage family education professionals.

Analysis of Satisfaction with the Fatherhood Programs Provided in Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center (건강가정·다문화가족지원센터의 아버지참여 프로그램 현황 및 만족도 분석)

  • The demand and supply of programs of parenthood programs for fathers are increasing with changes in the image of male parents. Under this backdrop, a necessary requirement is to analyze the current status of father programs that are spearheaded by governments and the satisfaction with them to determine if they actually meet the needs of fathers. This study conducted such an examination for the fatherhood programs that were provided as a mandatory public service by the Healthy Family & Multicultural Family Support Center in 2017. To this end, the research analyzed performance and satisfaction data on 776 projects, including 1293 programs that were required for provision in 101 integrated centers nationwide. The results showed that satisfaction with fatherhood programs differed according to the project area, the location of a center, the period of implementation, the methods of proceeding, the participation unit (whether an entire family or an individual family member), the number of participants, and the number of sessions. Overall, the level of satisfaction was higher in "fathers meetings" (under the community domain) than "support for the father role" (under the family relationship domain). In relation to implementation period, satisfaction with the programs was high in the 4th quarter of implementation. Satisfaction with the programs was also higher for culturally based initiatives than education-oriented programs. Satisfaction was higher when the participation unit was the family than when such unit was the individual. The smaller the number of participants, the higher the satisfaction level. Finally, the number of sessions was deemed satisfactory when it was completed in more than four sessions. This study is meaningful in that it provides the basis of effective use of the government budget by analyzing the status and satisfaction of the fatherhood programs, which have been implemented since the integration of the Healthy Families & Multicultural Family Support Center.

Performance Analysis of the Healthy Family Support Center's Pilot Project to Support Grandparent-Grandchild Families (2011 건강가정지원센터 조손가정 지원 시범사업의 성과분석)

  • This study analyzed the outcomes of the Healthy Family Support Center's 2011 Pilot Project to support grandparent-grandchild families. This paper applied Frank Fisher's multidimensional evaluation methodology, which includes 4 steps: program verification, situational validation, system vindication and social choice. The major findings and their implications are as follows: the strong points of the pilot project are the characteristics of its services, i.e. sending services, customized services, family-unit services and integrated services. Therefore, it is necessary to train human resources to deliver these services more professionally and to provide comprehensive life-planning. The weak point of the pilot project is its lack of services relating to the self-reliance of the clients. Thus it is necessary to revise the service subsystems to include programs that promote self-support measures.

Development of program models for single households in Healthy Families Support Centers (건강가정지원센터의 1인 가구 대상 프로그램 모형 개발)

  • This study aimed to develop program models for single households in the Healthy Families Support Centers. Data from seven female and seven male single households were collected through in-depth interviews. The major results were as follows. First, a demand for a program that both provides feeling safe and is self-caring came to the fore. Additionally, many respondents wanted to participate in programs with families. Second, the aspects of professional quality, diversity, and systematic management were mentioned as the strengths of programs in the Healthy Families Support Centers. Third, three program models were drawn up, as follows: The first model was a five-part program model like the current program settings of the Healthy Families Center. Those were sharing-caring, education, counselling, family-friendly culture, and community networking. The second model was a program for family relationships. The third was for joining programs with others. For the detailed program, a manual needs to be proposed, and the staff members who handle the programs for single households in the center will need to be retrained.
