한국 노인의 성공적인 노화요인의 구조분석 (A Structural Analysis of Successful Aging Factors for Korean Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 노인의 성공적인 노화요인을 설명할 수 있는 주요 변인들 간의 구조적인 인과관계를 규명하고, 성공적인 노화에 미치는 관련 변인들 간의 구조적 인과관계를 밝히려는 연구목적을 가지고, 한국 사회에 맞는 노인의 성공적인 노화모델을 구축하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 전국에 거주하는 65세 이상인 노인 4,155명 중 유배우자 2,958명이 본 연구의 대상자로 설정되었으며 이들의 건강수준 영역, 신체·인지적 기능 영역, 심리사회적 특성 영역, 생산적 활동 영역 등을 조사하여 Amos프로그램을 이용한 구조방정식모델분석을 하였다. 성공적인 노화요인 변수들의 구조분석 결과, 건강수준이 높을수록 신체적·인지적 기능은 직접적인 영향을 받아서 높아지고, 심리사회적 특성은 직·간접적인 영향을 받아 좋아지며, 또한 신체적·인지적 기능 및 심리 사회적 특성은 그 자체로 생산적 활동을 증가시키는 직접 효과가 있다. 본 논문의 의의는 노인과 노인 준비단계에 있는 연령대에서 성공적 노화를 준비하고 실천할 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있는 실질적인 자료의 구축과 실천적 함의에 있다.

패밀리 레스토랑 고객 특성에 따른 영양과 건강메뉴에 대한 태도 연구 (Family Restaurant Patrons' Attitudes toward Nutrition & Healthy Menus)

  • This study sought to determine family restaurant patrons' attitudes toward nutrition and healthy menus. A written questionnaire was handed out to 300 dine-in customers at the three different sites of T brand family restaurant. A total of 265 questionnaires were usable for data analysis, resulting in 88% response rate. Two attitude statements eliciting the strongest agreement were that 'Diet and chronic diseases risk are closely connected each other(4.44)' and 'Koreans are more nutrition & health conscious than they were in the past(4.41)'. The attitude statement-that nutrition is important when I eat out- received the lowest scores(2.92), which indicated that nutrition was not yet considered the most important factor when dining out. 23% of the respondents were interested in healthful foods, while 30% said they were unconcerned. Nutrition conscious group showed significantly (p<.000) higher attitude scores for most of statements than unconcerned group. Significant differences were found in age groups(p<.05, p<.01, p<.001), income levels(p<.05), educational levels(p<.05), health status groups(p<.05), and weight control interest groups(p<.05). Older respondents, respondents with higher income and educational levels were more interested in nutrition and healthy menus. Respondents who reported good health status and showed higher interest in weight control were more interested in nutrition and healthy menus. These findings indicate that restaurant firms should respond to consumers' increased interest in nutrition and healthy menus by offering healthful menus and increasing nutrition marketing activities. This may positively result in increasing customer counts and revenue as well as customer satisfaction level and brand image of restaurant firms. Moreover, restaurant firms are strongly encouraged to play an active role in promoting public's nutritional and health status because increasing consumption of meals away from home will seriously affect good health of our consumers.

원주지역내 농촌생활권 주부들의 건강관련 식생활태도 및 식행동에 관한 조사 (Dietary attitudes and eating behaviors of housewives in Wonju-Gun rural area)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the dietary attitudes and behaviors, intake frequencies of food groups, health-related opinions and practices, and sociodemographic characteristics of housewives in Wonju-Gun rural area. Interviewers asked 413 housewives about obove informations and then recorded. The results were as followes : Using the factor analysis processing, 17 questions about dietary attitudes and behaviors were categorized into 5 groups such as fidelity of diet, the healthful dietary attitudes, the eating practices concerning about items and amount, eating speed and the extent of coincidence in food preference within a family. The role of the housewives was a major factor affecting the dietary attitudes and behaviors. Those who work as housewives and farmers concurrently had good dietary practices concerning about items and amount, but they were interested about health-directed dietary attitudes at a significantly lower level. Food frequencies of 9 groups, animal protein food, fruits and vegetables, milk and milk products, small fishes such as anchovy, soybean curd and beans, seaweeds, vegetable oil, frying food, soybean paste were significantly associated with subjects' age, role, and education and income level. Whether or not intake of soybean paste was considered. protein food intake was altered, and the difference between two situations increased much more as age was higher. We noticed that intake of soybean paste improved the status of protein nutrition. Our subjects ate calcium sources and dishes using vegetable oil insufficiently. Those who had much interests for good health, revealed to be an active practitioner in the aspects of healthful dietary attitudes, but fidelity of diet, eating practices concerning about items and amount showed significant association with balanced life style.

자살생각, 자살계획 및 자살시도와 관련된 유발요인의 영향력 분석: 6차년도 한국복지패널 참여자를 대상으로 (Analysis on Influence of Triggering Variables Related the Suicidal Ideation, Suicidal Plan, and Suicidal Attempt: Focussed on Participants in 6th KoWePS)

  • 본 연구는 6차년도(2011년) 한국복지패널에 참여한 10,991명을 대상으로 자살생각, 자살계획 및 자살시도로 이어지는 일련의 자살에 관련된 유발요인으로 개인심리변인, 개인 및 사회환경변인을 통합적인 연구틀에서 살펴보고자 수행되었다. 연구방법은 AMOS 21.0 버전을 활용하여 자살생각, 자살계획 및 자살시도로 이어지는 일련의 자살에 영향을 미치는 유발변인의 상대적 영향력을 로지스틱 회귀분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 우울, 자존감, 주관적 건강상태, 부부폭력, 성역할은 자살생각에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 주관적 건강상태, 문제음주는 자살계획에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 문제음주, 부부폭력은 자살시도에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이를 근거로 자살생각, 자살계획 및 자살시도를 축소 예방하기 위한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하고, 이 연구의 제한점과 추후 연구에서 고려할 점을 논의하였다.

우리나라 학교보건사업(學校保健事業) 변천에 관(關)한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of School Health Program by the Chronological Events in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify and name clusters of school health program, and to describe some of the characteristics of administratie supports. The literature, materials and public documents were analysed by the chronological events from 1945 to 1989. The result of this study is as follows : 1. A brief summary of the history of school health program was included as an introduction to the analysis of the current programs of school health. Five current school health-program clusters were identified from findings of a study of programs : 1) physical assessment, laboratory examination and health services for the students, 2) health instruction 3) healthful living condition (environmental health), 4) health clinic management, 5) administrative supports. 2. The earliest school- based efforts focused on communicable disease pevention by the ministry of health and social affairs. Annual medical inspection (health assessment) for school children for eyes, ears, nose, and throat were mandated nation-wide in 1951 by physical assessment Act. 3. In 1979, the health instruction of schools to improve the health status of students was improved by health department in the Ministry of Education 4. Experiences in healthful environment were basic components of the school health program. However, without careful planning and supervision these experiences were not contributed to the goal of school health. The formal program of school health environment were initiated in 1979 5. In 1980, the guidelines of school health clinic management were prepared by Ministry of Education such as guidance of essential degrees and facilities in school health clinic. 6. Two patterns of administration of school health programs existed in Korea. In one the school health department operated its own health program and in the other the physical education department operated the health program within the school system. The school health department was established in Ministry of Education from 1979 to 1982. Improved school health programs will be a key element in the comprehensive national child health policy which I will ask the Ministry of Education to develop for the Department.

노년기 부부의 결혼특성요인과 결혼안정성 (Characteristics of the Marriage and Marital Stability among Elderly Couples)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of marital characteristics on the marital stability among the elderly couples. Each participant was measured using a scale for the concept of marriage, a scale for marital coherence, a marital stress scale, a coping behavior scale and a marital stability scale. Elderly people who have a living spouse and who are living In Seoul were recruited. The data from two hundred and forty participants over 60-years-old were used in the final analyses. Major findings are as follows First, demographic factors such as educational level, health, economic status, the main source of income, and employment status appeared to significantly predict the elderly folks'marital stability Second, gender seems to be a factor In elderly couples'experience of marital stability. Husbands perceived marital stability to be higher than wives did. Third, the perception of marital stress, positive coping behavior and marital coherence influence the marital stability of the elderly couples. That is, the less elderly couples perceived marital stress and the less they relied on negative coping behaviors, the higher they perceived marital stability. These results imply that a healthful coping behavior to marital stress is important in enhancing marital stability for elderly couples.

학교시설유지관리의 민간위탁에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Privatization of School Facilities Maintenance)

  • School facilities maintenance is concerned about providing clean and safe environments for children. It is also about creating a physical setting that is appropriate and adequate for learning. But many of the school buildings in Korea have been maintained and operated by each school manger or pubic officers in the Educational Department. This system could not extend the life of building components, keep equipment functioning as designed or sustain a sage and healthful environment because of its non-professionality and the dual fiscal system. In order to improve such problems, it is proposed to privatize the maintenance of school building. It is sure that the new way to outsource services reduce costs and provide high quality services. Competitive contracting with the private sector can provide schools with expertise, flexibility and cost efficiencies as well as help school administrators focusing on educating the children. This study explores the maintaining status of existing schools, analyses the cases about BTL schools and the foreign country's policies and surveys the outsourcing cases of Kyungki-do schools. Finally it proposes more appropriate plans for privatizing the maintenance way of school building in Korea.

패밀리 레스토랑 고객의 메뉴 영양정보에 관한 인식 연구 (Family Restaurant Patrons' Perception on Nutrition Information of Restaurant Menus)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the customers' perception on nutrition information provided on a family restaurant menu, to examine customers' intention to use the nutrition information when eating out if nutrition information would be provided, and to identify what kinds of nutrient information the customers want. A total of 265 respondents were answered. Female was sixty-six percents, and eighty-four percent of the respondents was less than thirty-five years old. The patrons' perception about nutrition information on the menu showed the level of 2.5 points out of 5 points, which pointed out that family restaurant patrons were not satisfied with receiving nutritional information related to the menu. The customers perceived that restaurants had responsibilities for providing nutritional information about menu items. Sixty-six percent of respondents showed a positive intention to the question item about how much the customer would use nutritional information provided on the menu. The customers, who were female (p<0.05), who had a good health status, who showed higher interest on weight control (p<0.01), and who were health-oriented (p<0.01), showed the higher intention to use nutritional information. Nutrient information in which the customers were interested strongly was a fat content, followed by cholesterol content and calorie information. According to the trends of eating out, preferring family restaurants, and increasing interests in a healthful menu, nutrition information demand in restaurant operations would be increased rapidly in the near future. Providing nutrition information at the point of menu choice might result in the improvement of customers' nutritional and health status by encouraging proper dietary habits of patrons as well as providing nutritional education. Therefore, it is recommended that government and restaurant firms should recognize the importance of nutrition information and make strategic plans for the future.

대구지역 학교급식 영양(교)사의 우수농산물에 대한 인식 및 적용 실태 (Actual Status of School Dietitians' Recognition and Use of Superior Agricultural Products in Daegu)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the school dietitian on superior agricultural products (SAP) and the status of using superior agricultural products in school meals. Questionnaires were distributed to 185 school dietitians after face to face interview, and a total of 181 responses were used for analysis. 82.3% of the respondents were using SAPs in school meals and there was a significant difference between elementary school (95.1%), middle school (76.8%) and high school (66.7%) dietitians (p < 0.001). 85.2% of the dietitians, who were using SAP, were purchasing SAPs through electronic bidding, and the main reason of not using SAPs was the higher price of SAPs than that of general agricultural products. The good agricultural practices (GAP) product was considered the most appropriate agricultural products for school meals by the majority of respondents (66.9%), and organic products was the next (13.3%). In addition, the most important selection criterion for a SAP perceived by school dietitians was safety (58.0%), and the main reason of using SAPs in school meals, when two choices were allowed, was 'to provide healthful food to children' (98.9%). The major barriers to using SAPs in school meals (two choices were allowed) were 'too expensive' (73.5%) and 'unstable supply' (32.6). In conclusion, it was suggested that there should be an improvement in SAP supply and management systems to increase the use of SAPs in school meals.
