  • Objective : This study was a covariance structural analysis to identify korean medicine health promotion behavior by the general characteristics of the subjects and build a predictive model and theoretical framework based on Pender's health promotion model(1996) and related literature reviews. Method : A hypothetical model was consisted of 8 theoretical variables and 27 measured variables. Related variables included Individual Characteristics and Experience, Behavior-specific cognitions and affect and Behavioral outcome. The data was collected from 802 middle and old-aged people living in Seoul and Gyeong gi province through structured questionnaires by face to face interviews between February and March, 2014. SAS ver. 9.1 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used for the data analysis. Results : Difference in the verification of Korean medicine health promotion behavior by the general characteristics, Older people who are male, with higher economic status, no chronic disease or with diabetes, no smoking, no drinking, with more exercise showed significantly higher scores, but education level has no difference. 15 paths were statistically significant among 16 paths on the direct effect, 6 paths were statistically significant among 9 paths on the indirect effect in the hypothetical model. The greatest impact variable on Korean medicine health promotion behavior was perceived self-esteem. Also, the findings showed that the higher perceived social support, perceived health status, previous Korean medicine health promotion behavior, community environment, perceived benefit and the lower perceived barrier had a significant effect on Korean medicine health promotion behavior. Conclusion : This research model has an empirical validity as the variables of this study verified their effects and significances. Therefore, the understanding of Korean medicine health promotion behavior can be increased and the utilization will be higher when seeking a comprehensive health promotion plan. Also, a strategy can be utilized the strategy for Korean medicine health promotion behavior.

General self-efficacy scale of Sherer. control scale was measured by subconcept of hardiness scale of Pollock. and perceived barrier. perceived benefit. activity-related-affect tool were made by researcher via literature review The data were analyzed by SAS program using frequency. t-test. ANOVA. Schefee test. regression. The results were as follows 1. The mean of total health promoting behavior was $2.27\pm.35$. Among sub domain of health promoting behavior, the highest score was interpersonal support$(2.72\pm.60)$. and the lowest was health responsibility $(1.58\pm.44)$. 2. From above results school health nurse has to emphasize on health responsibility for health promotion of adolescent. But they couldn't intervene for parent pattern. socioeconomic status. family structure of individual characteristics and experience domain. it could be possible for school health nurse to promote health of adolescents through improving perceived barrier. also develop program to increase self-efficacy and through parent health class for fathers. Above results point to the importance of including parents in smoking prevention effort targeting adolescents. Because increasing control also promotes health of adolescents. it should be studied further about the specific measure. To verify the variables for increasing the fitness of health promoting model. it needs further replication of the research.

The mean score of social support was 3.96 and the mean score of health behavior was 3.33. 2. 1) General characteristics were related to the degree of social support: personality, spending money, friend number, exercise(p<0.05). 2) General characteristics were related to the degree of health behavior: personality, spending money, friend number, exercise, stress(p<0.05). 3. The hypothesis of this study, 'The higher the degree of social support perceived by the student, the higher the degree of health behavior' was supported(r=0.5730, p=0.0001). For these subjects, there was a significant relationship between social support and the degree of health behavior. Nurses should plan interventions in promotion health behavior with social support as a significant factor in adolescents. If so, their coping ability and well- being may be promoted.

The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, dental treatment, chronic disease, and oral health behavior including oral health self-care behavior and professional oral health care. Results: The self-care oral health behavior and the professional oral health care had a negative correlation with the chronic diseases. Especially, the self-care oral health behavior and the professional oral health care had a statistically significant negative correlation with hypertension and osteoporosis. Multiple regression analysis was performed after including general characteristics, dental treatment, chronic disease. Meanwhile the presence of chronic disease had a significant influence on the self-care oral health behavior and the professional oral health care. Hypertension and Osteoporosis were the most influential factors of chronic diseases and had a significant influence on the oral health behavior. In conclusion, the chronic diseases aggravated the oral health behavior practice. Conclusions: presence of chronic disease affects oral health behavior. Therefore, the effective intervention and education programs related to oral health care are necessary to enhance adult's oral health behavior and total health. Methods: 838 School accident data provided by Seoul School Safety Council were analyzed by gender. Based on the results above, survey questionnaires on characteristics of school accident were developed. Self-reported data were collected from a sample population of 433 students in grade 5 to 6 students attending 4 elementary schools in Seoul. Results: The students who answered they experienced the accident in school for the past 1 year, accounts 60.5% of male and 39.5% of females students, which has statistically significant difference. The male's cases happened most around corridor/door, while female's cases happened most in the playground/gymnasium. As for the accident risk behavior, male students had the risk behavior by using the personal belongings/toys, while the female students had much risk behavior related to physical facility/playground. When classifying the characteristics of risk behaviors according to the accident causes, male students showed higher score in the accident risk behaviors related to play/fight than in those of the female students(p<0.05).
