Numerical study on the influence of embedment footing and vertical load on lateral load sharing in piled raft foundations

  • Piled raft foundation has become widely used in the recent years because it can increase bearing capacity of foundation with control settlement. The design for a piled raft in terms vertical load and lateral load need to understands contribution load behavior to raft and pile in piled raft foundation system. The load-bearing behavior of the piled raft, especially concerning lateral loads, is highly complex and challenge to analyze. The complex mechanism of piled rafts can be clarified by using three dimensional (3-D) Finite Element Method (FEM). Therefore, this paper focuses on free-standing head pile group, on-ground piled raft, and embedded raft for the piled raft foundation systems. The lateral resistant of piled raft foundation was investigated in terms of relationship between vertical load, lateral load and displacement, as well as the lateral load sharing of the raft. The results show that both vertical load and raft position significantly impact the lateral load capacity of the piled raft, especially when the vertical load increases and the raft embeds into the soil. On the same condition of vertical settlement and lateral displacement, piled raft experiences a substantial demonstrates a higher capacity for lateral load sharing compared to the on-ground raft. Ultimately, regarding design considerations, the piled raft can reliably support lateral loads while exhibiting behavior within the elastic range, in which it is safe to use.

Depth Dose According to Depth during Cone Beam Computed Tomography Acquisition and Dose Assessment in the Orbital Area Using a Three-Dimensional Printer

  • Background: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is essential for correcting and verifying patient position before radiation therapy. However, it poses additional radiation exposure during CBCT scans. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate radiological safety for the human body through dose assessment for CBCT. Materials and Methods: For CBCT dose assessment, the depth dose was evaluated using a cheese phantom, and the dose in the orbital area was evaluated using a human body phantom self-fabricated with a three-dimensional printer. Results and Discussion: The evaluation of radiation doses revealed maximum doses of 14.14 mGy and minimum doses of 6.12 mGy for pelvic imaging conditions. For chest imaging conditions, the maximum doses were 4.82 mGy, and the minimum doses were 2.35 mGy. Head imaging conditions showed maximum doses of 1.46 mGy and minimum doses of 0.39 mGy. The eyeball doses using a human body phantom model averaged at 2.11 mGy on the left and 2.19 mGy on the right. The depth dose ranged between 0.39 mGy and 14.14 mGy, depending on the change in depth for each imaging mode, and the average dose in the orbit area using a human body phantom was 2.15 mGy. Conclusion: Based on the experimental results, CBCT did not significantly affect the radiation dose. However, it is important to maintain a minimal radiation dose to optimize radiation protection following the as low as reasonable achievable principle.

Quasi-optical design and analysis of a remote steering launcher for CFETR ECRH system

  • In order to optimize the operational safety and reliability of the upper launcher for the CFETR ECRH system, a design of the launcher for NTM control based on the remote steering concept is currently being carried out for comparison with the front steering equivalent. This paper presents the layout design and analysis of the quasi-optical system in the remote steering launcher. A 3D visual quasi-optical design tool has been developed for the quasi-optical system, which can parameterize modeling, perform general astigmatic beam calculation and show the accurate beam propagation path in the upper port. Three identical sets of quasi-optical modules are arranged in the launcher, and each one consists of two fixed double-curvature focusing mirrors, which focus and reflect the steering beams (- 12°-12°) from two square corrugated waveguides. The beam characteristics at the resonance layer are described, and the average beam radius is < 100 mm. The peak head loads on the surfaces of the two fixed mirrors are 1.63 MW/m2 and 1.52 MW/m2. The position and size of the beam channel in the blanket are obtained, and the opening apertures on the launcher-facing and plasma-facing sides of the blanket module are 0.54 m2 and 0.4 m2, respectively.

전산화단층촬영법을 이용한 하악 전돌증 환자의 하악지 시상 골절단술후 하악과두 위치변화 분석 (EVALUATION OF CONDYLAR POSITION USING COMPUTED TOMOGRAPH FOLLOWING BILATERAL SAGITTAL SPLIT RAMUS OSTEOTOMY)

  • 본교실에서 하악지 시상 골절단술을 시행한 하악전돌증 환자 20명(남자 9명, 여자 11명)을 대상으로 술전, 술직후, 장기관찰기간동안의 전산화단층촬영법을 이용한 하악과두의 위치변화와 술전, 술직후, 악간고정제거 24시간후 및 장기관찰기간동안의 측모두부방사선사진에서의 재발과의 상관관계를 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 두부 축방향 전산화단층사진에서의 과두간거리(MM')는 $84.45{\pm}4.01mm$ 였으며, 장축각은 우측 11.89%5.1 $9^{\circ}$좌측 $11.65{\pm}2.09^{\circ}$로 좌우 비슷하였으며, 기준선(AA')에서 과두의 외측점은 12mm, 내측점은 7mm 정도 전방에 위치하였다. 관상면 전산화단층사진에서의 과두간 거리(mm')는 $84.43{\pm}3.96mm$ 였으며, 사축각은 우측 $78.12{\pm}3.43^{\circ}$ 좌측 $78.09{\pm}6.12^{\circ}$로 좌우 비슷하였다 . 2. 술전후 과두위치 변화(T2C-T1C)는 통계적인 유의성은 없었으나(p>0.05), 다소 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 장기관찰에 따른 회귀성향(TLC-T2C)에서는 LMD, LLD(p<0.05), RLD, RMD(p<0.01), mm'(P<0.001)는 모두 감소하였다. 3. 측면두부방사선사진상에서 술직후와 악간고정제거 24시간후(T3-T2)에서 하악의 초기재발은 통계적인 의의가 없었으며(p>0.05) 하악전치의 경우만 평균 0.33mm 전방이동하였다(p<0.05). NN'L1, NN'Pog, NN'Gn, NN'Me, over-jet에서 통계적인 유의성이 있었으며(p<0.05), NN'Ll 1.2%, NN'B 5.0%, NN'Pog 2.0%, NN'Gn 9.1%, NN'Me 10.3%의 총재발량을 보였다. 4. 하악골의 술전, 술후 변화량(T2-T1)이 총재발량에 미치는 영향에 대한 회귀분석에서 후퇴량이 많을수록 하악골의 총재발량이 많은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 5. 하악골 변화량(T2-T1)과 하악과두 변화량(T2C-T1C, TLC-T2C), 하악과두 변화량(T2C-T1C, TLC-T2C)과 총재발량(TL-T2), 술전 하악과두 형태(T1C)와 하악과두 변화량(T2C-T1C, TLC-T2C), 그리고 술전 하악골 외형(T1)과 하악과두 변화량(T2C-T1C, TLC-T2C)에 대하여 단순 및 복잡회귀분석에서 통계적인 유의성은 없었다(p>0.05). 6. 술전 하악과두 형태(T1C)가 총재발량(TL-T2)에 미치는 영향에 대한 복잡회귀분석결과 우측과두에서는 과두간 거리가 멀고 장축각이 적고 사축각이 클수록 하악골의 수평적인 재발(NN'Ll, NN'8, NN'Pog, NN'Gn, NN'Me)이 많은 것으로 나타났으며(p<0.05), 좌측과두에서는 NN'Ll, NN'Me에서 같은 결과를 보였다. 7, 술전 하악과두 형태(T1C)가 술전 하악골외형(T1)에 미치는 영향에 대한 복잡회귀분석결과 우측과두에서는 과두간 거리가 멀고 장축각이 적고 사축각이 클수록 하악골의 수직고경이 큰 것으로 나타났고(p<0.05), 좌측과두에서는 과두간 거리가 멀고 장축각이 적고 사축각이 클수록 수직고경이 크며, 전돌된 양상으로 나타났다(p<0.05) . 8. 술전 하악골 외형(T1)이 총 재발량(TL-T2)에 미치는 영향에 대하여 단순회귀분석을 시행한 결과 NN'L1, NN'B, NN'Gn, NN'Me, over-jet 둥의 계측점에서 하악골이 전돌된 양상을 보일수록 NN'B에서의 총재발량은 많은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 또 수평피개량(over-jet)이 클수록 NN'B, NN'Pog, NN'Gn, NN'Me에서의 총재발량이 많은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 따라서 과두보존술을 이용하여 과두를 안정화시키고 난후 악골 형태를 재구성하였을 때 이로 인하여 생기는 하악과두 이동은 미미하여 술후 재발에 크게 영향을 미칠 정도는 아니라고 사료된다.

흉강경하 횡경막 주름성형술: 작업창없이 3개의 포트를 이용한 수술법 (Thoracoscopic Diaphragmatic Plication Using Three 5 mm Ports)

  • 배경: 횡경막 내장전위증의 치료를 위해 흉강경을 이용한 횡격막 주를 성형술은 효과적인 방법이다. 그러나, 기존 흉강경을 이용한 횡경막 주름 성형술은 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 저자들은 Head up position, $CO_2$ 삽입 및 Figure of eight 봉합법을 이용하여 수술 술기를 단순화하여 기존 흉강경의 단점을 개선하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 2005년 3월부터 2009년 9월까지 횡경막 내장전위증으로 수술을 받은 9명의 환자를 대상으로 후향적 연구를 시행하였다. 평균 연령은 $38.5{\pm}53.0$세(범위, 2~76세)였으며 남자 4명, 여자 5명이었다. 결과: 평균 수술 시간은 $46.7{\pm}15.9$분(범위, 30~85분)이었다. 수술 중 사망은 없었다. 합병증으로는 7일 이상의 지속적 공기 누출 1예, 폐부종(Re-expansion pulmonary edema)으로 3일간 호흡기 사용 1예가 있었다. 평균 재원일 수는 $6.22{\pm}2.04$일(범위, 4~11일)이었다. 수술 후 추적 관찰 기간(평균 $27.2{\pm}11.6$개월, 범위 2~43개월) 동안 1예에서만 수술 직후 횡경막 위치에 비해 2.5 cm 이상 상승을 보였다. 호흡 곤란 증상을 보이는 환자는 없었다. 결론: 저자들의 변형 술식에 의해 횡격막 내장전위증 환자에서 단지 수술창의 사용없이 3개의 5 mm 포트를 이용하여 횡격막 주름 성형술이 가능하였다. 횡경막 내장 전위증 환자에서 흉강경을 이용한 방법이 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 개흉을 이용한 방법보다 유용한 수술 방법으로 생각된다.

일부(一部) 대도시(大都市) 지역(地域) 치과기공사(齒科機工士)의 직업(職業) 및 직업장(職業場) 만족도(滿足度)에 관한 조사연구(調査硏究) (A Study of Satisfaction About Dental technician's Post and Laboratory in Great Cities)

  • This study has been to survey the present situation of satisfaction to the occupation and dental laboratory by means of selscting 200 dental technicians who are woked in Pusan, Deagu, Kwangju, Deajun. Questionaires were distributed to them and the summerized results were as follows; 1. In general, the dental technician's satisfaction of the occpation was revealed as moderate(Mn, 2.83), the dental technician's satisfaction of the laboratory was revealas moderate(Mn, 2.80). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of occpation was the outlook(Mn, 3.23), and the lowest degree item was the advancement and the rise to a high position(Mn, 2.22). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was dental material(Mn, 3.07), and the lowest degree item was the equipment of dust collection(Mn, 2.49) 2. By age, the highest degree item out of the satisfaction of occpation was 30 to 43 group(Mn, 3.28), 50 and over group was the lowest degree item(Mn, 2.89). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was 40 to 50 group(Mn, 3.10), the lowest degree item was 35 to 39 group(Mn, 2.88). 3. By school career, the satisfaction of occpation and dental laboratory were higher in the graduated college group than the graduated highschool group. 4. By personal health state, the highest degree item of the satisfaction of occpation was the health group(Mn, 3.25). The highest degree item of the satisfaction of laboratory was the unhealthy group(Mn, 3.07). 5. By religion, the satisfaction if iccupation of laboratory ws higher in the religious group than the non-religious group. 6. By job career, the highest degree item of occupation satisfaction was 15 to 20 years group(Mn, 3.27), the lowest degree item was 20 and over group(Mn, 3.02). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was 15 to 20 years group(Mn, 3.05), The lowest degree item was 7 to 10 years group (Mn, 2.90). 7. By job position, the highest degree item out of satisfaction of occupation was the chief of laboratory group(Mn, 3.33), the head of laboratory group was the lowest degree item(Mn, 3.07). The hightest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was the head of laboratory group(Mn, 3.10), the lowest degree item was the chief of laboratory group(Mn, 2.88). 8. By the place of employment, the degree of occpational satisfaction by items was found that the highest degree in the group engagel in general hospital(Mm, 3.43), the group engaged in dental clinic and hospital(Mn. 3.24), and the dental laboratory group(Mn. 3.14) in order. The difference among the group was significant emough(P<0.05). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was dental laboratory group(Mn. 2.70). The difference among the group was significant emough(P<0.01). 9. By monthly salary, the highest degree item out of the satisfaction of occupation was ₩500,000 to 600,000 group(Mn. 3.32), the lowest degree item was ₩600,000 and over group(Mn, 3.07). The highest degree item out of the laboratory satisfaction was ₩100,000 to 200,000 group(Mn, 3.03), the lowest degree group was ₩300,000 to 400,000 group(Mn, 2.95). 10. As compared with the degree of satisfaction according to job satisfaction, the highest degree item out of the occupational satisfaction was much satisfied group(Mn, 3.65), the lowest degree item was non-satisfied group(Mn, 2.68). The difference among the group was significant enough(P<0.05). The highest degree item out of the satisfaction of laboratory was non-satisfied group(Mn, 30.9), the lowest degree item was satisfied group(Mn, 2.84). The difference among the group was significant enough(P<0.01).

전신 PET/CT 검사에서 팔의 위치에 따른 감약 정도와 SUV 변화 평가 (The Evaluation of Attenuation Difference and SUV According to Arm Position in Whole Body PET/CT)

  • PET/CT검사에 있어서 CT는 해부학적인 정보를 제공할 뿐 아니라 PET영상에 대한 감약 정보를 제공하는 역할을 하고 있다. CT의 감약차를 이용하는 것으로서 검사 부위에 존재하는 여러 가지 변수에 의해 그 정도가 달라질 수 있다. 이것은 현재 본 원에서 PET/CT검사 시에 팔을 몸 옆에 두고 검사하는 것에도 적용할 수 있으며, 이에 본 논문에서는 일부 타 병원에서 시행하고 있는 팔을 머리 위로 올리고 검사하는 방법과 함께 CT값의 변화에 따른 표준섭취계수의 변화를 비교 연구했다. NEMA 1994 PET 모형의 삽입체와 모형의 부피를 고려하여 4:1의 비율로 $^{18}F$-FDG를 주입하였다. 먼저 테플론 삽입체 두 개를 NEMA 1994 PET 모형의 양 옆에 고정시켜 팔을 내리고 있는 상태를 가정하여 영상을 얻었으며 테플론 삽입체를 제거하여 팔을 머리 위로 올린 상태를 가정하여 영상을 얻었다. 앞의 과정을 거쳐 얻은 영상을 재구성 하여 Volume Viewer를 이용해 한 영상면 당 5개의 관심 체적을 설정했고 각 측정값을 평균하여 얻어낸 CT값과 표준섭취계수로 그 변화를 측정하였다. 측정된 값과 폐 관련 암환자의 간에 관심 영역을 설정하고 측정한 값을 비교하여 실제 임상 영상에서의 차이를 측정하였다. 모형 실험결과 테플론 삽입체를 부착하였을 때보다 테플론 삽입체를 부착하지 않았을 때 CT값이 -5.8 HU에서 0 HU으로 평균 5.8 HU 증가하였고 표준섭취계수는 24.64에서 24.29로 평균 0.35 감소하였다. 축방향 균일도는 0.064에서 0.052로 평균 0.012 감소하였다. 환자 실험결과 팔을 내리고 검사하였을 때보다 팔을 머리 위로 올리고 검사하였을 때 CT값은 54.1 HU에서 59.9 HU로 평균 5.8 HU 증가하였고 표준섭취계수는 2.02에서 1.85로 평균 0.17 감소하였다. 테플론 삽입물을 부착한 상태로 검사할 때 보다 테플론 삽입물을 부착하지 않은 상태로 검사할 때 CT값은 증가하고 표준섭취계수는 감소하는 양상을 보였다. 이러한 현상이 일어나는 이유는 감약의 정도와 표준섭취계수의 상관관계에서 찾을 수 있다. CT값이 증가할수록 감약 계수는 비례하여 증가하는데 이것은 결국 CT값이 증가될수록 감약이 증가된다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 팔에 의해 감약이 과다하게 측정될 수 있으므로 결국 표준섭취계수의 증가로 이어진다고 판단된다. 하지만 그 값의 차이가 매우 적어 진단적으로 유의한 범위라고 볼 수 없다. 팔을 머리 위로 올리고 검사하는 자세가 어깨 및 팔에의 $^{18}F$-FDG섭취와 환자의 고통을 야기하게 된다는 점들을 종합하여 고려해 보았을 때, PET/CT검사 시에는 팔을 내리고 검사하는 것이 합리적이나, 환자의 상태 및 영상의 질적 측면을 고려하여 결정하여야 하겠다.

고 에너지 방사선치료에서 환자의 피폭선량 분포와 생식선의 차폐 (Shielding for Critical Organs and Radiation Exposure Dose Distribution in Patients with High Energy Radiotherapy)

  • 의료용 선형가속기에서 발생되는 고 에너지 광자선은 콜리메이터에 의하여 누출되며 치료두부(head), 콜리메이터, 환자를 포함한 치료실내의 모든 벽과 구성 물질들에 의하여 많은 산란선이 발생된다. 방사선치료는 종양에 따라서 최소한 40 Gy에서 80 Gy까지 조사되기 때문에 주위건강조직 특히 생식가능한 사람에 대한 생식선의 피폭선량을 평가하여야하며 종양치료에 영향을 주지 않은 범위에서 가능한 방법을 동원하여 피폭선량을 줄여야한다. 방사선 안전관리등의 기술기준에 관한 규칙(과학기술부령 제17호) 제3절 의료분야의 특별기준, 제44조(진료환자의 방사선 피폭)에 의하면 진료를 위한 환자 피폭선량을 합리적으로 달성 가능한 최소의 수준으로 유지하기 위한 절차를 구비하여야 하며 과학기술부 장관은 이에 준하는 의료시설 및 장비취급의 기술기준을 정하고 고시하여야한다고 명시 되어있다. 고 에너지방사선은 악성종양환자들의 치료성과를 향상시키는 동시에 치료후 방사선에 의한 만성효과가 발생 될 수 있기 때문에 주선속의 다양한 산란선과 누출선의 선질변화와 선량을 측정하고 생식선과 같은 주요장기를 산란선으로부터 차폐할 수 있는 기구를 제작 사용함으로서 방사선 피폭선량을 최대한으로 감소시킬 수 있었다. 고 에너지 방사선은 의료용 선형가속기(CLINAC 2100C/D. 2100C. 600C)에서 발생시킨 4, 6, 10 MV x-ray와 코발트원격치료장치(ALCYON II)의 코발트선원에서 방출되는 1.25 MV의 감마선을 이용하였다. 선량측정은 폴리스틸렌과 인체팬텀(Rando)사용하였으며 측정기는 이온함, TLD 및 필름을 사용하였다. 고 에너지 방사선에 의한 산란선은 장치의 콜리메이터 뿐만 아니라 치료실 벽 인체내부등 모든 방향에서 방사됨으로 납 벽돌에 의한 차폐율측정은 많은 변수를 가졌으며 고환인 경우에는 3면이 모두 차폐되도록 항아리모양으로 제작하였다. 태아인 경우 태아가 위치하고 있는 골반위에 육교모양의 선반을 만들고 그 위에 납 벽돌을 장치하도록 고안하였다. Co-60 감마선, 4 MV x-선, 10 MV x-선에서 발생되는 누출선량과 산란선량에 의한 평균 피폭선량은 조사면 중심으로부터 10, 30, 60cm 거리에서 조사면내 최대선량에 대하여 각각 $10^{-2},\;10^{-3},\;10^{-4}$의 비율로 측정되었으며 거리에 따라 지수함수로 줄어들었다. 흉부에 국한된 종양을 10 MV x-ray, $12{\times}12 cm^2$ 조사면으로 치료하였을 때 자궁에 받는 피폭선량은 0.9 mGy/Gy이며 고환이 받는 피폭선량은 0.6 mGy/Gy 이었으며 체장과 신장은 각각 4.8 mGy/Gy 와 2.5 mGy/Gy이다 10 MV x-선, $14{\times}14cm^2$ 조사면 경계로부터 10 cm 밖에서 납벽돌의 반가층 두께는 약 9.0 mm 이였고 20cm 밖에서는 반가층 두께가 약 6.5 mm로 측정되었다. 복부에 위치한 악성종양을 60 Gy 조사하였을 경우 태아가 위치하고 있는 자궁의 피폭선량은 약 370 mGy이고 이곳을 10 mGy이하가 되도록 차폐하려면 약 6.2 cm두께의 납 벽돌을 자궁위에 장착하여야 하며 골반치료시 고환에 10 mGy이하가 되도록 차폐하려면 약 5 cm 두께의 납 항아리가 요구된다. 고 에너지 고 준위 방사선치료시 고환은 3면을 항아리모양으로 차폐할 수 있어 피폭선량을 상당히 줄일 수 있으며 자궁인 경우 체내에서 산란된 선량의 차폐는 불가능하였다.

  • 1. Background and Purpose The faces of human being change as they grow older. We could know the characters of the each ages, through the facial comparison between the 30's, 40's and the 50's, 60's. As a conclusion, I carried out this Study because I thought that the errors of diagnosis would be reduced a lot through the standardization researches about the morphology of faces. 2. Objectives The object of this study is selected from the patients who were already diagnosed Sasang Constitutions at the department of Sasang Constitutional Medicine in Kyunghee Oriental Medical Center. The number of the patients were 69 men in 30's and 40's, and 74 men in 50's and 60's. 3. Method I took the photographs of front view and lateral view of the objectives by digital camera and obtained the 200 measure through the facial measurement program. I compared the measure of 50's and 60's with 30's and 40's by independant t-test. 4. Results 28 measures are different 30's and 40's with 50's and 60's in Soyangin, 31 measures in Soeumin, 40 measures in Taeumin. 5. Conclusion (1) Soyangin showed wider interpupillary distance in 30's and 40's than 50's and 60's. They also showed the large brow and cheek and their lips were thick and prominent and their ophyrion were prominent and their noses were wide and large and they showed wide bigonial breadth in 30's and 40's than 50's and 60's. (2) Soeumin showed the position of ears were higher and the brows were longer and larger in 30's and 40's than 50's and 60's. The width of both eyebrow were wider in 50's and 60's than 30's and 40's. The lower 2/3 portion of the face was longer and the shape of head was longer in vertical in 50's and 60's than 30's and 40's. (3) Taeumin showed the wider brow in 30's and 40's than 50's and 60's. The width of each eyes was wider and the width of cheek and face was larger, too. The ophyrion was prominent and the mouth was bigger and the face showed longer in 50's and 60's than 30's and 40's. (4) The upper 1/3 portion of the face was large in 30's and 40's and the lower 2/3 portion of the face showed large and long in 50's and 60's regardless Constitution.

  • This thesis was designed to study Symbolics of Chinese Liturgical Vestments. Chinese who regarded the life of human beings as the combination of heaven and earth considered garments as the traditional product of the movement of nature. Accordingly, they thought human beings are the center of the universe composed by heaven and earth and the chief of all things; therefore man only can utilize clothes to distinguish from all of the colours. This views of clothes led to the development of liturgical vestments esteemed courtesy than anything else, especially the thought of courtesy associated with Conficius who regarded courtesy as the highest things and since then the theory of Five Elements and courtesy were inherited by all the adherents of Conficius. Yin and Yang Five Elements in the liturgical vestments was given absolute symbolics in both formative side and in colourful side. results of research studied in this was can be summed up as follows : 1. The crown of rites was made imitating after the system of head, horn, beard, bread of birds and beasts and that form of crown is front-circ-ular and back-rectangular meant to be towards light and dark. That the upper part of faceplace is black represented the way of heaven and lower part of red symbolized the way of earth. 2. Upper vestment of liturgical rites symbolizes heaven and outskirt represented earth. So front of outskirt is YANG and back is Yin. It is why then are going to harmonize positive and negative making front part three width and back part four width. Therefore, emperor who symbolizes heaven made the subjects recognize high and low and wore Dae-gu(大 ), Kon-bok(袞服), Bel-bok, Chui-bok, and Hyonbok according to the object and position of rites so that he may rule the country based on courtesy. 3. As an accessory of liturgical vestments, Bul, Pae-ok, Su, Dae-dai, Hyok-Dai, Kyu, and Hol were used. Before Bul was used man dressed skirt as the first waist-dress in order to conceal intimate part of the body. Pae-ok, as decoration blended with jade was worn by men of virtue, so men of virtue symbolized morality and virtue by Pae-ok. Su began from Yeok, connected with Pae-su , in Chou-dynasty is said to be originated by practical needs and they are divided into large Su and small su, and maintained as decoration to signify the class positions. Dae-dai did the work as not to loose the liturgical vestments and leather belt hang Bul and Su to begin as the function of practical use are in later years it became decoration to symboliz e the class position. Kyu was a jade used when empeor nominated feudal lords and observe ceremony to God and Hol, was held in hands to record everything not to forget. These Kyu and Hol became to offer courtesy during the time of rites and in later years it became used according to class position rather than practical use. 4. As far as colours are concerned, colours based by five colours according to YIN-YANG Five Elements theory and they were divided into a primary colour and a secondary colours. Primary colours corresponded with the theory of Five Elements each other, Blue, Red, Tellow, White, and Black symbolized ive Elements, five hour space, five directions, and five emperors. Secondary colours contradict with Blue, Red, Yellow, White and Black and another as a primary colour and they are Green, Scaret, Indigo, Violet, Hun colour, Chu colour, and Chi colour. This primary colour was used in liturgical vestments, that is, upper-vestments used black colour. This primary colour was used in liturgical vestments, that is, upper-vestments used black colour as primary colour and outskirt was used Hun colour as secondary colours. Thus symbolism in chinese liturgical vestments mainly began with heaven and earth and corresponded with YIN-YANG Five Elements Scool. They were developed as the scholary theory and Conficius and his followers in the later days and continued up to Min-dynasty.
