  • Web service, the next generation of distributed computing, is a distributed solution that handles all businesses through standard techniques in the internet. Web service performs its function using web interface. The goal of this thesis is to reduce network overloading. to manage WSDL efficiently, and to provide convenience to service users by simplifying the web service procedure. Web service system proposed in this thesis is based on WSDL Repository that can include UDDI and store WSDL. WSDL Repository manages WSDL by file system and has UDDI Registry embedded within it. Because this system is based on WSDL Repository, Web service supplier must register WSDL when he registers services. Then, users can receive WSDL too when he searches for services.

  • In this paper, we propose a standardization strategy for next generation electronic navigational chart which can be classified as S-100 Universal Hydrographic Data Model, to accept various requirements arising from various marine information and services as well as support e-navigation service strategies. IMO uses the next generation electronic chart standard, S-100 as Common Maritime Data Structure. It means that a common data model is needed as a key element for realization of e-Navigation and also points out that a new ICT convergence paradigm is needed not only for marine safety but also for maritime information and services. this paper considers he model-based data representation and reference model in order to understand the content and use of the S-100 standard and also considers the interconnectivity and role of the ISO/TC211 standards, which are being used as base standards for profiling to develop S-100 standard. Finally, we look at what standardization items are required for standardization of next generation electronic navigational chart supporting multi-purpose and how they are used mutually.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of psychological health and physical health on health-related quality of life(HRQoL) in Korean Echo Generation by using Korea Health Panel Data 2013. The Korea Health Panel Data 2013 were collected from February to October 2013 and 2,261 respondents were analyzed. The data were analyzed by Independent t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression using SPSS WIN 24.0 program. he mean score of HRQoL was 0.98. The effect of unmet medical needs, psychological & physical stress, unmet basic needs, anxiety about the future, depression, suicidal ideation, smoking, sleeping time, hearing problem, eating problem, restriction of activity, and self-rated health status) were significant on HRQoL. Health care providers should consider the effect of psychological and physical health when they design program for the improvement of HRQoL for Korean echo generation in community.

  • A path generation method considering the tendencies of users is required because users has the preferred routes through the properties such as time, distance, and congest. The existing method must input the additional information about user's tendency to generate path considering moving tendencies. However, mobile device have the inconvenient interface. Therefore users are reluctant to input additional information for path generation. In this paper, we propose the path generation method considering the tendencies of users without additional input of users tendencies. To show the superiority of the proposed method, we compared it with shortest distance or time path through performance evaluation.

  • Shin Hong-gyun was born on August 20, 1881. The second son of Shin Tae-geom (申泰儉) in Sangsang-ri, Sinbukcheong-myeon, Bukcheong-gun,Hamgyeongnam-do. His family had been practicing East Asian medicine as a family business. At that time, the families of East Asian doctors who passed the general examination of the Joseon Dynasty had been continuing the East Asian medicine business from generation to generation. Starting with exile in North Gando in 1911, he was located in Wangga-dong, 17 Doo-gu, Changbaek-hyeon. In 1915, he met General Choi Un-san in Bongo-dong, treated the soldiers suffering from cellulitis, and participated in the training process to prepare for the upcoming anti-Japanese war. However, because of a growing difference of opinion with General Choi Woon-san, Shin Hong-gyun left Bono-dong after a year and mets Sorae Kim Jung-geon and joined the founding of Wonjonggyo and Daejindan, an anti-Japanese armed group. It is said that Shin Hong-gyun established many schools in Korean villages destroyed by the Gyeongshin disaster and 14 schools were established under the names of Wonjonggyo and Daejin. After the Japanese established the puppet Manchukuo in 1931, the Manchurian Defense Forces were formed. Koreans and Chinese immigrants to Manchuria worked together to carry out a joint Korean-Chinese anti-Japanese operation towards the Japanese Empire. In 1933, 50 of the Daejindan members joined the Korean Independence Army, and among them, Shin Hong-gyun began to work as a medical doctor in earnest. During an ambush in Daejeonryeong Valley, he could not get a proper meal and, to make matters worse, got wet in the rainy season, so the situation was a challenge in various ways. At this time, Shin Hong-gyun showed his knowledge of herbal medicine, picked black wood ear mushrooms that grew wild in the mountains, washed them in rain water, and provided food to the independence fighters and relieved them of hunger. After the Battle of Daejeon-ryeong, the Japanese army's suppression of the independence forces intensified, and most of the independence fighters escaped from the Chinese army's encirclement and were scattered. Ahn Tae-jin and others led the remaining units and continued the anti-Japanese armed struggle in the forest areas of Yeongan, Aekmok, Mokneung, and Milsan.

  • 반도체 소자의 크기가 45 nm 이하로 감소함에 따라 최소 선폭에 따른 다층 배선 연결 구조가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 고집적화 구조는 기생 저항과 정전 용량에 의한 신호지연증가 및 혼선 전력 소모의 문제가 발생한다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법 중의 하나는 저저항 배선연결물질과 층간 절연막으로 저유전 상수를 갖는 물질을 사용하는 것이다. 본 연구는 DEMS $(H-Si(CH_3)(OC_2H_5)_2)$ 전구체를 이용하여 저유전막을 증착할 때 사용되는 PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) 장비를 국내 기술로 개발하고 개발된 장비로 저유전박막을 평가한 것에 관한 것이다. 본 연구에서 평가 및 박막 종확 시 사용한 장비는 MAHA hp 1 type ((주)아토)로서 양산용 PECVD 장비이다. 변수는 C-He의 유랑, 300 mm Si 웨이퍼와 shower head 사이의 거리, 증착 압력, 구동 전력이고, 증착된 저유전막의 두께, 두께의 균일성, 굴절률, 굴절률의 균일성를 평가하였다. 구동 전력이 500W 일 때, C-He의 유량과 진공의 크기를 감소시키면 박막의 두께가 감소하고 박막의 균일성은 증가하였다. C-He의 유량을 증가시키고 shower head 와 Si 웨이퍼 사이의 거리 및 구동 압력을 감소시키면 굴절률과 굴절률의 균일성이 모두 저하되었다. 구동 전력이 700W 일 때, 박막 두께의 경우, 구동 전력이 500W 일 때의 결과와 유사하지만, 박막의 균일성, 굴절률, 굴절률의 균일성은 모든 조건에서 저하되었다.

Ice-Binding Protein Derived from Glaciozyma Can Improve the Viability of Cryopreserved Mammalian Cells

  • Ice-binding proteins (IBPs) can inhibit ice recrystallization (IR), a major cause of cell death during cryopreservation. IBPs are hypothesized to improve cell viability after cryopreservation by alleviating the cryoinjury caused by IR. In our previous studies, we showed that supplementation of the freezing medium with the recombinant IBP of the Arctic yeast Glaciozyma sp. (designated as LeIBP) could reduce post-thaw hemolysis of human red blood cells and increase the survival of cryopreserved diatoms. Here, we showed that LeIBP could improve the viability of cryopreserved mammalian cells. Human cervical cancer cells (HeLa), mouse fibroblasts (NIH/3T3), human preosteoblasts (MC3T3-E1), Chinese hamster ovary cells (CHO-K1), and human keratinocytes (HaCaT) were evaluated. These mammalian cells were frozen in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)/fetal bovine serum (FBS) solution with or without 0.1 mg/ml LeIBP at a cooling rate of -1℃/min in a -80℃ freezer overnight. The minimum effective concentration (0.1 mg/ml) of LeIBP was determined, based on the viability of HeLa cells after treatment with LeIBP during cryopreservation and the IR inhibition assay results. The post-thaw viability of mammalian cells was examined. In all cases, cell viability was significantly enhanced by more than 10% by LeIBP supplementation in 5% DMSO/5% FBS: viability increased by 20% for HeLa cells, 28% for NIH/3T3 cells, 21% for MC3T3-E1, 10% for CHO-K1, and 20% for HaCaT. Furthermore, addition of LeIBP reduced the concentrations of toxic DMSO and FBS down to 5%. Therefore, we demonstrated that LeIBP can increase the viability of cryopreserved mammalian cells by inhibiting IR.

Considerations of Jungpung(中風) in Chungumbang(千金方) at Tang(唐)‘s dynasty (당(唐), 천금방(千金方)에 기재(記載)된 중풍(中風)에 관한 고찰(考察))

  • The study of Jungpung(中風)'s section in Chungumyobang (千金要方, 諸風門) by Sonsamak(孫思邈) showed the following results. 1. The cause of Jungpung(中風) in Jungpung(中風)'s section in Chungumyobang (千金要方, 諸風門) was quotated from the theory of Naekyung(內經) -Pung(風) evil from the external environment invade on Hu(虛) of human body(外來風邪, 內虛邪中). 2. At Jungpung(中風)'s section in Chungumyobang (千金要方, 諸風門), he devided into the four classes of Jungpung(中風)'s symptom-Pyungo, Pungbi, Pungyi, Pungbi(偏枯, 風?, 風懿, 風痺)-, and this classification had a great influence on the next generations. 3. At Jungpung(中風)'s section in Chungumyobang (千金要方, 諸風門), he understanded that changes of Jungpung(中風)'s pathology depended on the Eum-Yang-Han-Yul-Hu-Shil(陰陽寒熱虛實) of the patients. 4. At Jungpung(中風)'s section in Chungumyobang (千金要方, 諸風門), he gathered and rearranged various prescription which accumulated the clinical experiences during the period from Naekyung(內經), Sanghan(傷寒) times, to Tang(唐)'s dynasty. There were major Jungpung(中風)'s prescription -Sosokmyungtang(小續命湯), Daesokmyungtang(大續命湯), Jukryuktang(竹瀝湯), Jihwangjun(地黃煎), Dokhwalgisaengtang(獨活寄生湯) etc. And the principle of treatment was the remedy method of removing evil through sweating(發汗祛邪法). 5. Chungumyobang(千金要方) showed the development of quality, quantity in their prescription comparing the fomer ages. And the method of classification of Jungpung(中風)'s symptom had a great influence on the next generation in clinical aspect. But the basic theory in Chungumyobang(千金要方) coudn't get out of the limits of Naekyung(內經), Gumgueyoryak(金?要略).

A case of herpes zoster in a 4-month-old infant (4개월 영아에서 발생한 대상포진 1예)

  • Herpes zoster in infancy is very rare but can be developed following intrauterine or postnatal exposure to varicella zoster virus. We report a case of herpes zoster in a 4-month-old male infant. He had no prior history of primary varicella or varicella vaccination. His mother had no history of varicella infection and no contact history with varicella during pregnancy. He had a history of exposure to his father with herpes zoster 3 months ago, and to his cousin with convalescent chickenpox 2 months ago. Multinucleated, giant cells were shown on a Tzanck smear. He was treated with acyclovir and first generation cephalosporin for herpes zoster with Staphylococcal skin infection, with complete resolution without sequelae.

Condurango (Gonolobus condurango) Extract Activates Fas Receptor and Depolarizes Mitochondrial Membrane Potential to Induce ROS-dependent Apoptosis in Cancer Cells in vitro -CE-treatment on HeLa: a ROS-dependent mechanism-

  • Objectives: Condurango (Gonolobus condurango) extract is used by complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners as a traditional medicine, including homeopathy, mainly for the treatment of syphilis. Condurango bark extract is also known to reduce tumor volume, but the underlying molecular mechanisms still remain unclear. Methods: Using a cervical cancer cell line (HeLa) as our model, the molecular events behind condurango extract's (CE's) anticancer effect were investigated by using flow cytometry, immunoblotting and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Other included cell types were prostate cancer cells (PC3), transformed liver cells (WRL-68), and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Results: Condurango extract (CE) was found to be cytotoxic against target cells, and this was significantly deactivated in the presence of N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), a scavenger of reactive oxygen species (ROS), suggesting that its action could be mediated through ROS generation. CE caused an increase in the HeLa cell population containing deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) damage at the G zero/Growth 1 (G0/G1) stage. Further, CE increased the tumor necrosis factor alpha ($TNF-{\alpha}$) and the fas receptor (FasR) levels both at the ribonucleic acid (RNA) and the protein levels, indicating that CE might have a cytotoxic mechanism of action. CE also triggered a sharp decrease in the expression of nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells ($NF-{\kappa}B$) both at the RNA and the protein levels, a possible route to attenuation of B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), and caused an opening of the mitochondrial membrane's permeability transition (MPT) pores, thus enhancing caspase activities. Conclusion: Overall, our results suggest possible pathways for CE mediated cytotoxicity in model cancer cells.
