Fuzzy Logic Based Relaying Using Flux-differential Current Derivative Cure for Power Transformer Protection

  • Power transformer protective relay should block the tripping during magnetizing imrush and rapidly operate the tripping during internal faults. But traditional approaches maloperate in the case of magnetizing inrush with low second harmonic component and internal faults with high second harmounic component. To enhance the fault detection sensitivities of conventional technuques, flux-differential current derivative curve by fuzzy theory approaches is used. This paper deals with fuzzy logic based protective relaying for power transformer. The proposed fuzzy based relaying algorithm consisits of flux-differential current derivative curve, harmonics restraint, and precentage differential characteristic curv. The proposed relaying was tested with relaying signals obtained from Salford EMTP simulation package and showed a fast and accurate trip operation.

  • In this paper, RSF+RPP(Random Switching Frequency Ran-domized Pulse Position) PWM for three-phase voltage-controlled inverter is proposed. The LLPWM(Lead-Lag PWM) technique is that three switching pulses are located randomly back and forth in each switching interval But with the restriction of random distribution, the harmonic spectrum cannot be dispersedly and continuously distributed. To tackle this problem , First, the switching frequency is varied randomly. Next, the duty ratio is calculated under the first circumstance.   • 본 논문에서는 전력용 능동필터의 성능을 가지는 양방향성 무정전 전원장치를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 전력용 능동필터모드와 배터리 방전전력모드인 2가지 모드로 나누어진다. 전력용 능동필터모드에서 고조파전류와 무효전력을 효과적으로 보상하기 위하여 기준전류를 계산하는데, 새로운 폐-루프 제어기법이 사용된다. 마지막으로, 제안된 무정전 전원장치의 성능이 시뮬레이션과 실험에 의해 검증된다.

  • According to the wide - spread use of rectifier in electronic equipments, such problems as electronic components failures or equipment disorders have been occurred due to current harmonics. To overcome these problems, power factor correction circuits employing boost converter have been used. The high switching stress of boost converter can be reduced by snubber circuit. Recently, research activities in snubber circuits have been directed to energy recovery snubber for improving the efficiency of power converter. In this study, a new passive snubber circuit which can recover trapped snubber energy without added control is proposed for boost converter. The control of boost converter with proposed snubber is the same as the conventional one. In addition, the energy recovery circuit can be implemented with a few passive components. The circuit operation is confirmed through simulation.

트럭 최종감속기 평기어의 치형최적화에 관한 연구 (Tooth Modification for Spur Gear for Articulated Hauler's Final Drive)

  • Construction equipment is heavily loaded during normal operation. In recent years, there is a trend that lower gear noise levels are demanded for drivers to avoid annoyance and fatigue during operation. For articulated hauler's final drive, meshing transmission error(T.E.) is the excitation that leads the tonal noise known as gear whine, and radiated gear whine is also the dominant source of noise in the whole gearbox. This paper presents a method for the analysis of the tooth profile modification, and the prediction of transmission error under the loaded torques for the spur gear pair of the articulated hauler's final drive. And the transmission error, transmission error harmonics and contact stress are also calculated and compared before and after tooth modification under one torque. The simulation result shows that the transmission error and contact stress under the loads can be minimized by the appropriate tooth profile modification.

Measurements of Sub- and Super Harmonic Waves at the Interfaces of Fatigue-Cracked CT Specimen

  • Nonlinear harmonic waves generated at cracked interfaces are investigated both experimentally and theoretically. A compact tension specimen is fabricated and the amplitude of transmitted wave is analyzed as a function of position along the fatigued crack surface. In order to measure as many nonlinear harmonic components as possible a broadband Lithium Niobate ($LiNbO_3$) transducers are employed together with a calibration technique for making absolute amplitude measurements with fluid-coupled receiving transducers. Cracked interfaces are shown to generate high acoustic nonlinearities which are manifested as harmonies in the power spectrum of the received signal. The first subharmonic (f/2) and the second harmonic (2f) waves are found to be dominant nonlinear components for an incident toneburst signal of frequency f. To explain the observed nonlinear behavior a partially closed crack is modeled by planar half interfaces that can account for crack parameters such as crack opening displacement and crack surface conditions. The simulation results show reasonable agreements with the experimental results.

  • 수중에서 프로펠러에 의해 추진되는 추진체를 식별하기 위해 프로펠러의 추진력에 의하여 수중에 발생되는 cavitation의 비선형 음향학적 현상으로부터 발생되는 프로펠러의 shaft-rates와 blade-rates를 탐지하여 표적을 식별하기 위한 Maximum Likelihood Classifier를 유도하고, 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통한 검증을 수행하였고, 실제 해양에서 수집한 데이터에 대해 적용 가능함을 입증하였다.

  • The proposed GTO converter system has the better harmonic characteristics, especially, in the distortion factor (55%), than the conventional 12-step converter system. The improved harmonic characteristics was achieved through the unsymmetrical angle control of the each converter. In addition, the proposed system can save the cost (20%), spase (50%) and weigh (8%). The proposed system was studied in simulation and experiment.

  • This study is on the development of a low cost inverter module with Power Factor Correction(PFC) circuit which satisfies the international harmonic current standard such as IEC61000-3-2. In this study, the performances of the PFC circuit applying a new control method are simulated and verified by Matlab/Simulink. Also, the inverter module with the designed PFC circuit is implemented and the experimental results for the module are presented. Finally, through an analysis for the results of the simulation and the experiment, the merits obtainable by applying the PFC circuit when designing an inverter module are discussed and presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 2단 인버터를 사용한 고성능 연계형 인버터의 구성을 제안하였다. 2단 인버터에서 하나의 인버터는 연계전압과 동일한 전압을 생성하고, 다른 하나의 인버터는 연계 전압에 포함되어 있는 고조파 성분을 제거하기 위한 전압을 생성한다. 본 논문의 제안된 구조는 PSIM 시뮬레이션으로 통해 확인하였으며, 그 결과 기본파(60Hz) 전압만 남게 되어 양질의 정현적인 전류를 연계 할 수 있음을 보였다.
