  • This paper describes the control method in order that output current of a voltage source inverter tracks reference sinusoidal current so that its harmonic current components are reduced. Operating character of this inverter is analyzed with normalized values of parameter. And the method that apply multilayed feedfoeward neural networks, which play excellent steady state operation in control system, to inverter control system and training method are presented. Then, the output current of inverter which is driven by the proposed method. is considered throughout computer simulation and safe operating range of inverter parameter is resented.

  • The goal of this study is to realize the PBG lowpass filter using novel PBG structure modification both upper layer and ground layer. It has been designed three aperture slots of ground layer for PBG structure which the center slot shape of ground is two type, rectangular and dumbbell. This PBG LPF has the character of the broader stopband and smaller size than typical LPF. The measurement results have matched the simulated ones. It has the cutoff frequency of each 4.465GHz and 3.52GHz and at least -20dB of the signal suppression at the stopband

  • In order to improve the read-out signal waveform, a shielded magnetoresistive (SMR) head has been designed and studied by applying the transmission-line model. The bias and signal field distribution, the voltage output, the harmonic output signal and resistance value of MR element are simulated as functions of bias current and recording displacement. The results show that the SMR head has good linear character with respect to the medium recording signal in high recording frequency of about 2.5 MHz. The amplitude and waveform of reroduction signal have been obviously improved. The saturation effect on the symmetry and amplitude of reproducing output have also been analyzed.

Forced vibration of the elastic system consisting of the hollow cylinder and surrounding elastic medium under perfect and imperfect contact

  • The bi-material elastic system consisting of the circular hollow cylinder and the infinite elastic medium surrounding this cylinder is considered and it is assumed that on the inner free face of the cylinder a point-located axisymmetric time harmonic force, with respect to the cylinder's axis and which is uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction, acts. The shear-spring type imperfect contact conditions on the interface between the constituents are satisfied. The mathematical formulation of the problem is made within the scope of the exact equations of linear elastodynamics. The focus is on the frequency-response of the interface normal and shear stresses and the influence of the problem parameters, such as the ratio of modulus of elasticity, the ratio of the cylinder thickness to the cylinder radius, and the shear-spring type parameter which characterizes the degree of the contact imperfectness, on these responses. Corresponding numerical results are presented and discussed. In particular, it is established that the character of the influence of the contact imperfection on the frequency response of the interface stresses depends on the values of the vibration frequency of the external forces.

Dynamic response of a Timoshenko beam on a tensionless Pasternak foundation

  • The dynamic response of a Timoshenko beam on a tensionless Pasternak foundation is investigated by assuming that the beam is subjected to a concentrated harmonic load at its middle. This action results in the creation of lift-off regions between the beam and the foundation that effect the character of the response. Although small displacements for the beam and the foundation are assumed, the problem becomes nonlinear since the contact/lift-off regions are not known at the outset. The governing equations of the beam, which are coupled in deflection and rotation, are obtained in both the contact and lift-off regions. After removing the coupling, the essentials of the problem (the contact regions) are determined by using an analytical-numerical method. The results are presented in figures to demonstrate the effects of some parameters on the extent of the contact lengths and displacements. The results are also compared with those of Bernoulli-Euler, shear, and Rayleigh beams. It is observed that the solution is not unique; for a fixed value of the frequency parameter, more than one solution (contact length) exists. The contact length of the beam increases with the increase of the frequency and rotary-inertia parameters, whereas it decreases with increasing shear foundation parameter.

Investigations on a vertical isolation system with quasi-zero stiffness property

  • This paper presents a series of experimental and numerical investigations on a vertical isolation system with quasi-zero stiffness (QZS) property. The isolation system comprises a linear helical spring and disk spring. The disk spring is designed to provide variable stiffness to the system. Orthogonal static tests with different design parameters are conducted to verify the mathematical and mechanical models of the isolation system. The deviations between theoretical and test results influenced by the design parameters are summarized. Then, the dynamic tests for the systems with different under-load degrees are performed, including the fast sweeping tests, harmonic excitation tests, and half-sine impact tests. The displacement transmissibility, vibration reduction rate, and free vibration response are calculated. Based on the test results, the variation of the transmission rule is evaluated and the damping magnitudes and types are identified. In addition, the relevant numerical time history responses are calculated considering the nonlinear behavior of the system. The results indicate that the QZS isolation system has a satisfactory isolation effect, while a higher damping level can potentially promote the isolation performance in the low-frequency range. It is also proved that the numerical calculation method accurately predicts the transmission character of the isolation system.

소음기의 투과손실 및 배압특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Muffler′s Transmission Loss and Backpressure Property)

  • We usually divide the noise of exhaust system into pulsation noise and flow noise. Pulsation noise is the shock wave to occur when the burning gas of low pressure emits and include harmonic having basic frequency as the exhaust cycle of engine. Flow noise is the noise that is produced when gas flow emits into the atmosphere through the pipe and has the character of frequency like pink noise which has the high level of high frequency component. A muffler is divided into reflective type and absorptive type. We usually use the muffler compounding the property of them. In this study, it is the case of transfer matrix method that a muffler is compounded to analyze the elements of each section according to sound wave's proceed direction. But we use simple model. So, we use finite element method that takes short time to analyze. Acoustic analysis gives us transfer matrix to use FEA of SYSNOISE and we use STAR-CD for fluid analysis. We made database that is based on analytical results about the muffler of expansion type, extended type, offset type, reverse type, and perforated type and developed the muffler design system to perform work efficiently.

The influence of the rheological parameters on the dispersion of the flexural waves in a viscoelastic bi-layered hollow cylinder

  • The paper investigates the influence of the rheological parameters which characterize the creep time, the long-term values of the mechanical properties of viscoelastic materials and a form of the creep function around the initial state of a deformation of the materials of the hollow bi-layered cylinder on the dispersion of the flexural waves propagated in this cylinder. Constitutive relations for the cylinder's materials are given through the fractional exponential operators by Rabotnov. The dispersive attenuation case is considered and numerical results related to the dispersion curves are presented and discussed for the first and second modes under the first harmonic in the circumferential direction. According to these results, it is established that the viscosity of the materials of the constituents causes a decrease in the flexural wave propagation velocity in the bi-layered cylinder under consideration. At the same time, the character of the influence of the rheological parameters, as well as other problem parameters such as the thickness-radius ratio and the elastic modulus ratio of the layers' materials on the dispersion curves, are established.

  • because the output of solar cell is direct, it is necessary to install D/A converter system for A.C load, and in case of driving utility line system, it is possible to drive system relation when the system supplies sinusodal current ant voltage having unit power factor. As the characteristics of the soar cell output the is influenced by dailysunight charge, for more electric power it is essential to control the direction toward the san so that the driving point of solar cell can always operate near maximum output point. PWM modulation device among electric power converters must have stable modulation at anytime when it includes noise-factors such as noise-wave and noises on electric voltage wave, a synchronous signal system. In dealing with synchronous signal for control and control signal by microprocessor, it is necessary to compensate it because there is time difference between sample paint and carrier wave. On this papers, single phase PWM current type invertor controled the solar cell having typical voltage dropping character has optimun short current in short, reduces D.C reactance, composes controller for modulation and keeps lower harmonic and high power factor keeping maximum output of solar cell according daily sunlight charge variation.

고압전동기용 진동 감시 시스템을 위한 특징 파라미터 추출기법 개발 (Development of the Extracting Technique of the Character Parameter for the Vibration Monitoring System in High Voltage Motor)

  • 본 논문에서는 회전체의 특징 파라미터들을 추출하기 위한 센서의 신호들을 수집하는 방법을 연구하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 모형 시험을 수행하기 위한 진동 테스트 리그를 개발하여 정상적으로 운전하에서의 신호특성을 분석하였다. 다른 진동 요소들로부터 주기적인 충격에 의해 발생되는 진동 성분을 추출하기 위하여 포락 신호처리(Envelope FFT Analysis) 기법을 사용하였다. 회전속도에 따른 신호분석과 더불어 회전체의 저주파수 특성을 잘 나타내는 속도센서 및 진동 테스트 리그의 부하변화에 따른 신호를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 베어링 하우징에서 측정되는 가속도 신호는 진폭이 작으며 조화 성분과 모터의 회전주파수 성분만이 발생함을 확인하였다. 즉, 회전수가 높아짐에 따라 가속도의 진폭이 높아짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 회전속도가 증가하면 원 데이터의 형상의 차이가 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 가속도 FFT 그래프와 비교하였을 경우 저 주파수에서 노이즈에 강하며 해당 회전 주파수 성분을 뚜렷하게 나타내었다. 또한 부하를 변화시켜도 주요 회전 주파수 성분이 증가하지 않음을 알 수 있었다.
