Performance Analysis for Base Station Controller in Mobile Communication Networks

  • Base Station Controller which belongs to IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunication - 2000) network has several types of structure for efficient control protocol. This difference of structure occurs two different protocols for call handling. Recently the need of IMT-2000 is highly increasing, so it is important to analyze the performance of processors and IPC(Inter-Processor Communication) module with structure of BSC and protocol difference. This paper presents the performance comparison of different types of BSC in view of processor utilization, waiting time, queue length and QoS(Quality of Service) through the simulation model.

  • 본 연구는 헬리콥터 비행 시뮬레이터 개발의 첫 번째 단계의 일환으로 비행 운동 모델의 비행조종성을 해석적으로 평가한다. 비행 운동 모델은 시뮬레이터의 목표 항공기인 AS365 N2의 공개 정보를 사용하여 생성하였다. 해당 비행 시뮬레이터는 소방 임무에 대한 조종사 교육 및 연구 도구로 개발 중이다. 모델의 평가는 비행 시험 데이터를 통한 검증이 이루어지기 전에 모델의 비행 특성과 다음 개발 단계로의 적합성을 평가하기 위하여 수행된다. 평가는 항공기분류, 임무 및 환경을 고려하여 ADS-33E-PRF(Aeroautical Design Standard Performance Specification Handling Qualities Requirement)의 기준에 의거하여 수행한다. 항공기의 해석적 비행은 규정에 대한 적합성 평가를 위해 요구되는 혹은 권장되는 비행시험절차를 따른다. 평가 결과는 ADS-33E-PRF에 명시된 조종성 등급에 따라 평가되는데 RotorLibFDM을 기반으로 생성된 비행 운동 모델이 헬기 비행에 대한 기본 교육과 연구로 사용될 수 있는 일반적인 헬리콥터 시뮬레이터에 대한 만족스러운 플랫폼을 제공함이 확인되었다.

휴대폰 애프터서비스 품질이 고객만족과 고객충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of After-Sales Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Mobile Phone)

  • This study aims to configure what dimensions make up for smart phone after service quality, and how this service quality affects customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Smart phone market is a market of the device leading the digital convergence as well as positioning itself as one of the national growth driving industry. To survive in this matured market, companies should have to respond actively to radical changes and customers needs in the so-called Smart Revolution environment. Lately, however, the smart phone market is prospected to move from growth phase to mature phase by the scholars. In order to proactively respond to the change in such market condition, companies need to provide absolute advantage in customer loyalty over their competitors by revolutionizing the after-sales service quality. Qualified A/S will lead to service satisfaction and achieve customer loyalty. The empirical analysis results obtained through A/S quality are as follows : First, human quality (attitude, expertise, problem-solvability), environment quality (handling agility, convenience, comfort), service policy quality (quality guarantee, additional service operation) are dimensions that make up for A/S quality. Second, A/S quality dimension showed a significant positive influence on service satisfaction and A/S satisfaction showed a positive influence on customer loyalty as well. Based on this empirical study, we propose some implications for A/S quality improvement. First, human quality dimension has relatively higher influence on A/S satisfaction in case of free A/S, so companies need to solve the product problem completely when consumer's first visit by continual employee education. Second, in case of paid A/S, the service policy quality-especially A/S Warranty period- has higher influence on A/S satisfaction.

비행제어계 평가를 위한 항공기 공중모의 비행시험 (In-Flight Simulation for the Evaluation of Flight Control Law)

  • 전자식 비행제어 항공기의 비행제어계설계, 지상 모의 시험 및 공중 모의 비행시험에 의한 비행성 평가를 수행하였다. 전자식 비행제어 항공기는 고등훈련기 형상을 가지며, 세로축 비행제어법칙은 수직가속도와 피치 각속도 추종시스템이며, 가로/방향축 비행제어법칙은 롤 각속도 및 가로가속도 추정시스템을 채택하였다. 대상항공기의 비행운동 평가는 공중모의 시험 항공기를 활용하였으며, 비행시험결과 최대불안정 영역에서는 Level 1, 착륙 접근 영역에서는 Level 1/2의 만족할 만한 비행성 결과를 보여 본 비행제어계 설계 타당성을 입증하였다.

금속가공유 취급 작업장의 생물학적 인자 노출평가 (Microbial Assessment in Metal-Working Fluids Handling Industry)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to evaluate microbial exposure hazards in the metal-working fluids(MWF) handling industry. Methods: Air quality parameters(airborne bacteria, fungi, endotoxin and oil mist) and bulk MWF in storage tanks were evaluated at 54 points at nine sites in South Korea. Results: The geometric means(GM) of culturable airborne bacteria, fungi, endotoxin and oil mist concentration were $133CFU/m^3$(n=376, range $7{\sim}6,510CFU/m^3$), $159CFU/m^3$(n=381, range $7{\sim}8,469CFU/m^3$), $8.06EU/m^3$(n=103, range $0.34{\sim}280.4EU/m^3$) and $0.20mg/m^3$(n=104, range $0.01{\sim}2.87mg/m^3$), respectively. The ratio of indoor to outdoor concentration was 2.7 for bacteria, 6.1 for endotoxin, and 4.8 for oil mist. Even though average airborne bacteria concentration did not exceed recommended exposure limits($1,000CFU/m^3$), MWF in the storage tanks was highly contaminated with bacteria(arithmetic mean $2.1{\times}10^6CFU/ml$) and exceeded recommended bacteria limits($10^5CFU/ml$). Conclusions: It is necessary for MWF handling workplaces to conduct periodical biohazard inspection of MWF storage tanks. Additionally, further research may be necessary to establish biological occupational exposure limits.

최적화에 기반 한 데이터 클러스터링 알고리즘 (New Optimization Algorithm for Data Clustering)

  • 대용량의 데이터 처리에 관한 문제는 데이터 마이닝 내 중요한 이슈 중의 하나이다. 특히 데이터 클러스터링과 같이 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션으로 인한 부하가 큰 경우 더더욱 그러하다. 그러나 대개 이러한 문제는 Random sampling 으로 어느 정도 해결이 가능하다. 문제는 이런 샘플링을 통해서 발생하는 noise의 해결이다. 본 논문에서는 그러한 noise문제를 극복할 수 있도록 설계된 새로운 데이터클러스터링 알고리즘을 소개한다. 기존의 데이터 클러스팅 알고리즘과의 컴퓨터 비교 실험을 통해 본 알고리즘의 우수성을 밝혔으며 아울러 더 나아가 데이터 set의 일부만을 사용한 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해, 해의 정확도와 상관없이 실험 시간 또한 단축되었음을 보여주고 있다.

상하수도 원격감시제어 시스템 구현을 위한 스마트 RTU의 개발 및 적용 (Development of Smart Remote Terminal Unit for Water Treatment SCADA System)

  • In this paper, a new remote terminal unit(hereafter RTU) is proposed to manage a wide range of applications and a variety of sensors (eg, pressure, water quality, temperature and humidity sensors, the amount of pollutants, $CO_2$, etc.) to monitor and control the facility such as water treatment plant, intake and effluent pumping station, water tank and distribution network. Fault status of local sensor devices and network are alerted by using the embedded fault handling capabilities of the RTU in the system and also sent to the fault handling server, by which fault can be easily monitored to users. The developed system was applied to one of K-water branch offices in Geoje city and improved its reliability and stability for controlling and monitoring water facility.

반고형 제제의 제품허가 후 변경사항을 다루는 SUPAC-SS (Usefulness of SUPAC-SS in Dealing with Postapproval Changes to Semisold Dosage Forms)

  • The objective of this study was to explore the principles of SUPAC-SS and its regulatory application in handling postapproval changes to nonsterile semisolid dosage forms. The types of postapproval changes that SUPAC-SS described were modifications in formulation (components and composition), batch size, manufacturing equipment & process, and the site of manufacturing. SUPAC-SS defined the levels of postapproval changes and what chemistry, manufacturing, and control tests should be conducted for each change level. The guidance also specified several occasions the manufacturers should perform in vitro release test (Franz cell diffusion test) and/or in vivo bioequivalence test. Finally, SUPAC-SS classified appropriate filing forms to be used in supporting postapproval changes. It was crystal clear that SUPAC-SS helped maintain the safety and quality of approved semisolid dosage forms when they were subject to certain postapproval changes. The availability of SUPAC-SS made contributions to reducing regulatory burdens of the industry, as well as expediting the postapproval process of regulatory agencies. This study also shed light on the background of relevant pharmaceutical sciences that the SUPAC-SS guidance adopted. Finally, the KFDA and the industry were strongly urged to implant a similar guidance in handling postapproval changes to semisolid dosage forms available in the Korean marketplace.

비행시험을 통한 비대칭 무장 형상의 조종성 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Aircraft Handling Quality for Asymmetric Loading Configuration from Flight Test)

  • Supersonic jet fighter aircraft have several different weapon loading configuration to support air-to-air combat and air-to-ground delivery of weapon modes. Especially, asymmetric loading configurations could result in decreased handling qualities for the pilot maneuvering of the aircraft. The design of the T-50 lateral-directional roll axis control laws change from beta-betadot feedback structure to simple roll rate feedback structure and gains such as F-16 in order to improve roll-off phenomena during pitch maneuver in asymmetric loading configuration. Consequently, it is found that the improved control law decreases the roll-off phenomenon in lateral axes during pitch maneuver, but initial roll response is very fast and wing pitching moment is increased. In this paper, we propose the lateral control law blending between beta-betadot and simple roll rate feedback system in order to decreases the roll-off phenomenon in lateral axes during pitch maneuver without degrading of roll performance.

항공기 비정상 자세, 고도 및 속도 회복을 위한 자동회복장치 설계 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Validation of Pilot Activated Recovery System to Recover Aircraft Abnormal Attitude, Altitude and Speed)

  • Relaxed Static Stability(RSS) has been applied to improve flight performance of modern version supersonic jet fighters. Flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft and to provide adequate handling qualities. Also, flight control systems of modern aircraft employ many safety measure to cope with emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the concept of PARS with AARS(Automatic Attitude Recovery System), ATCS(Automatic Thrust Control System) and MARES(Minimum Altitude Recovery Estimation System), and this control law is designed by nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using an HQS(Handling Quality Simulator). The result of evaluation reveals that the these systems support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and speed, and improve a safety of an aircraft.
