  • This paper deals with an input device without the touch. The existing touch screens have some problems such as the week durability by frequent contact and the high cost by complex hardware configuration. In this paper, a non-touch input device is proposed to overcome these problems. The proposed method uses a skin color generated by the HCbCr color model and a hand region obtained by the labeling technique. In Addition, the skeleton model is employed to improve the recognition performance of the hand motion. Finally, the experiment results show the applicability of the proposed method.

  • In this study we use inexact Newton-like methods to find solutions of nonlinear operator equations on Banach spaces with a convergence structure. Our technique involves the introduction of a generalized norm as an operator from a linear space into a par-tially ordered Banach space. In this way the metric properties of the examined problem can be analyzed more precisely. Moreover this approach allows us to derive from the same theorem on the one hand semi-local results of kantorovich-type and on the other hand 2global results based on monotonicity considerations. By imposing very general Lipschitz-like conditions on the operators involved on the other hand by choosing our operators appropriately we can find sharper error bounds on the distances involved than before. Furthermore we show that special cases of our results reduce to the corresponding ones already in the literature. Finally our results are used to solve integral equations that cannot be solved with existing methods.

  • In this paper we propose a 3-dimensional formation system using an arc welding robot. The principle of our system is just only to accumulate welding beads, so that the target 3-dimensional surfaces can be built up. Considering the effects of the gravity on the arc welding, the welding torch is steadily clamped and the position and the posture of the target board on which target work is formed is controlled by a 6-axis robot hand. Movements of the target board are controlled considering the 3dimensional shape of the target and the accumulating speed of the welding bead. In order to realize such systems, a distance sensor is mounted on the tip of the robot hand. And a coordinate transformation technique is employed

  • The purposse of this study is to evaluate the effect of mechanical properties on handle of fabrics for some of the korean women's clothes, 160 different kinds of commercial silk and polyester fabrics were used for this study. Mechanical properties were measured by the KES-FB fabric testing systems and six hand judgements. and also, the technique of stepwise-block-regression method was applied to investigate relationship between sensory and mechanical properties. Finally, we have obtained useful formulas for calculation the hand valuer of fabrics for korean clothes.

  • The subjective hand and preference of enzyme hydrolyzed denim fabrics were evaluated using the scale developed. The factors affecting consumer's taste for polyester fabrics were analyzed by the statistical technique. The effects of alkaline hydrolysis on the properties of polyester fabrics were evaluated by subjective and objective hand measurements. The lower the age of evaluators, the more sensitive their feeling. As the age decreased, evaluators felt fabrics become flossy and soft surface property is smooth, flexible, warm, refined. They didn't catch the sense of durability, moisture related property and sense of shape recovery. The lower the age, the fabric was more preferred. Women were more sensitive and consistent than men.

  • Acupuncture and acupressure apply needles or pressure to anatomical points for therapeutic benefit. The over 350 mapped acupuncture points in the human body can each treat various conditions, but anatomical variations make precisely locating these acupoints difficult. We propose a computer vision technique using the real-time hand and face tracking capabilities of the MediaPipe framework to identify acupoint locations. Our model detects anatomical facial and hand landmarks, and then maps these to corresponding acupoint regions. In summary, our proposed model facilitates precise acupoint localization for self-treatment and enhances practitioners' abilities to deliver targeted acupuncture and acupressure therapies.

  • Towards the second half of 20th century the fashion market has become increasely fragmented reflecting the pluality of cultures. As a result style no longer had time to accrue individuality and so people lost interest. In the aftermath of this fashion has turned its atten-tion to its materials for inspiration and inno-vation. Taking their inspiration for new working designers have began to explore diverse materials and expressive techniques of tex-ture. Textural expression can change the im-age of a garment even on with the same structural design. This study is to present the crinkle express-ive technique of texture through the applied examples in contemporary fashion and related backgrounds. The result of this study testified the import-ance of texture as plastic element through various techniques of crinkle; 1) creasing technique is reminiscent of the delphos of Fortuny by modern materials 2) twisting tech-nique is that finished garment is twisted and crumpled by hand 3) shirnking technique is recreated method that is crushed and tied for granting the human touch to the material.

  • A field-oriented UHF system for on-line PD monitoring of transformers. is designed, which has been installed inside the oil tank of a transformer by two ways: on-line installing mode through the oil-valve and pre-installing mode through the man hole/hand hole cover. This system has successfully captured long intermittent discharge signals that hadn't been detected through conventional techniques, and solved the problem successfully. The results demonstrate that UHF technique has great advantages for on-line PD monitoring of transformers. By adopting the peak detection technique, it becomes easy and effective for the transplantation of the phase-resolved pattern recognition technique from conventional method to UHF method, and then to realize continuous on-line monitoring, source characterization and trending analysis.

  • Data logger is generally needed for gathering field information automatically(or manually), using various sensors. However it, currently used in the county, is produced and developed by overseas. It is difficult to upgrade related program due to developed system and limited user in terms of environment it is used. On the other hand, several companies developed and sold unique data logger based their technique expertise in the country. But enhancement and practical use of related technology has much difficulties because feasibility, marketability and demand for technique are uncertain. In this study, it is the main purpose to offer basic information to select equipment suitable for field characteristic through analysis and comparison with features about method of information collection, operating program and process technique data logger which is used primarily in geotechnical engineering in both domestic and international.

  • This paper presents the ROBOT MODAPTS(Modular Arrangement of Predetermi- ned Time Standards) technique which can be applied to the robot motion analysis. Robot motions are easily divided into several movement activities and terminal activi- ties by means of the ROBOT MODAPTS technique Each link of robot arm is numbered such that finger is 1, hand is 2, elbow is 3, and so on. The robot motion time of each link is counted by multipling its given number to some time values observed at the finger movement. We can easily estimate robot teaching task time with this technique. This technique can be applied efficiently to establishing an adaptable robot motion ergonomically.
