  • We propose the tele-monitoring system to real-time medical signal system and implemented the blood-pressure and blood-sugar monitoring system with bluetooth communication system. And, it transmits patient's data blood pressure, blood sugar to doctor and doctor sends the result of medical treatment to patient's phone, hand-phone or PDA. We developed the measurer as portable type in order to non-restrained monitor.

Hand Gesture Interface Using Mobile Camera Devices (모바일 카메라 기기를 이용한 손 제스처 인터페이스)

  • This paper presents a hand motion tracking method for hand gesture interface using a camera in mobile devices such as a smart phone and PDA. When a camera moves according to the hand gesture of the user, global optical flows are generated. Therefore, robust hand movement estimation is possible by considering dominant optical flow based on histogram analysis of the motion direction. A continuous hand gesture is segmented into unit gestures by motion state estimation using motion phase, which is determined by velocity and acceleration of the estimated hand motion. Feature vectors are extracted during movement states and hand gestures are recognized at the end state of each gesture. Support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighborhood classifier, and normal Bayes classifier are used for classification. SVM shows 82% recognition rate for 14 hand gestures.

  • In intelligent robot research, hand gesture recognition has been an important issue. And techniques that recognize simple gestures are commercialized in smart phone, smart TV for swiping screen or volume control. For gesture recognition, robust hand detection is important and necessary but it is challenging because hand shape is complex and hard to be detected in cluttered background, variant illumination. In this paper, we propose efficient hand detection algorithm for detecting pointing hand for recognition of place where user pointed. To minimize false detections, ROIs are generated within the compact search region using skin color detection result. The ROIs are verified by HOG-SVM and pointing direction is computed by both detection results of head-shoulder and hand. In experiment, it is shown that proposed method shows good performance for hand detection.

  • In this paper, we investigate the realistic environment influence on the Hearing-Aid Compatibility(HAC) of the body-held device mock-up with a dual-band antenna. In detail, first, a dual-band internal antenna is designed considering the neighboring objects essential to a real attachable mobile device. This comes to reality by making its mock-up version. Second, the HAC of this device is simulated and measured for 'stand alone', and 'hand-held' cases. Particularly, the electromagnetic simulation of the designed antenna in the real device is verified by the standard measurement. Finally, the evaluated HAC is analyzed in terms of the relations with the bands, the mock-up environment and the hand effect.

  • In this paper, the external matching circuits were designed in order to compensate the efficiency which decreases by human body effect in the internal antenna phone. Comparing the two types of matching circuit, we selected the structure to minimize the switch stress. RF MEMS switch using low voltage was compared with FET switch and measured the performance in the handset. Here, the detection circuit which can couple th reflection power from antenna was added in the handset and we set up the demonstration system that can compensate the loss of hand effect automatically. In this system, when hand effect occurred, the radiation power increased 2.5dB by operation the matching circuit.

The Effects of Peer Attachment, Abuse, and Self - Esteem on Adolescent's mobile phone Dependency

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of peer attachment and parental abuse on adolescents' dependence on mobile phones and the mediating effect of self-esteem. For this study, I used the panel data of the 7th year of the 1st grade of the elementary school for the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey provided by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. A total of 1,937 adolescents were selected to analyze causal relationship among variables, and SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 were used to verify research problem. As a result of the study, First, the better the relationship with peers, the higher the self-esteem and the less the dependence on their mobile phone. On the other hand, the more severe the abuse, the lower the self-esteem and the higher the dependence on mobile phones. Second, Self-esteem was found to have a significant effect on peer attachment and abuse on mobile phone dependence. Based on these results, I would like to provide them as basic data for helping positive development of adolescents.

A Study on the Antecedents of Repurchase Intention on Smart Phone for Post-90th Generation in China (중국 소비자들의 스마트폰에 대한 재구매의도 결정요인: 죠링허우(90後)를 대상으로)

  • According to the US market research firm "Strategy Analytics(SA)", there is a sudden change of wind blowing in the global smart-phone market. In particular, several Chinese firms such as Huawei, Xiaomi and Oppo show a rapid growth in the pace of Chinese market, whereas other leading players like Apple and Samsung has slowly grown in China market. Therefore, this study will investigate the main antecedents of repurchase intention of smart phones in post-90th generation in China. In addition to this, the mediating effect of SIC will be analyzed. The results of the study are as follows; first, there is significant relationships among brand, individual experience and repurchase intention, on the other hand, there is no significant relationships between design, price, function factor and repurchase intention; second, SIC partially mediate the relationship between brand factors and repurchase intention. Based on the results targeted to post 90th generation in China, several implications are suggested for smart phone firms.

  • Handover is the technology to minimize data lose of mobile devices and make continuous communication possible even if the device could be moved from one digital cell site to another one. That is, it is a function that enables the mobile user to avoid the disconnection of phone conversations when moving from a specific mobile communication area to another. Today, there are a lot of ongoing researches for fast and efficient hand-over, in order to address phone call's delay and disconnection which are believed to be the mobile network's biggest problems, and these should essentially be resolved in all mobile networks. Thanks to recent technology development in mobile network, the LTE network has been commercialized today and it has finally opened a new era that makes it possible for mobile phones to process data at high speed. In LTE network environment, however, a new authentication key must be generated for the hand-over. In this case, there can be a problem that the authentication process conducted by the hand-over incurs its authentication cost and delay time. This essay suggests an efficient key caching hand-over method which simplifies the authentication process: when UE makes hand-over from oMME to nMME, the oMME keeps the authentication key for a period of time, and if it returns to the previous MME within the key's lifetime, the saved key can be re-used.

  • Wireless Internet based in WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) has been a very useful and attractive means picking up information through service irrelavant to time and space. And more the request of user has been diverse. In this paper, we implemented a Diet Menu System using expert knowledge-based rules on the WAP environment. This enables the moving man interested in diet to get information through wireless mobil hand phone. There are only connection-oriented system for this type of service till now. This paper has designed basic expert knowledge rules for result display, verified and implemented for WAP environment.
