선박용조타기의 Hydraulic Locking Alarm용 Hall Effect Sensor 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Hall Effect Sensor for Hydraulic Locking Alarm in Ship's Steering Gear)

  • The LVDT (Linear Variable Displacement Transducer) type sensor used for the existing ship's steering gear is simple on / off that does not perform proportional control operation to the control & unloading device. When the main spool is located at both extremes, It is reflected in the price by using an expensive sensor for import. In this paper, the Hall Effect Sensor is applied to Hydraulic Locking Alarm to analyze classification rules, structure, characteristics and operation principle of valves, and research on localization development in terms of cost reduction. The comparative analysis of the existing prototypes and the cause analysis of the problems were carried out, and the structural analysis showed satisfactory results within the allowable stress range. In addition, it was verified through experiments that the actual operation is realized by applying the actual developed product, and it was confirmed that the load on the maximum value exceeds the allowable maximum load even in the case of the universal tensile test in preparation for the departure of the rod casing.

  • This article describes the useful way to measure the torque and RPM of the geared motor. For this, we have made the planetary geared reduction motor including the torque sensor unit which consists of hall effects sensor and permanent magnet. Our monitoring system displays the sensing values (torque, rpm) and the calculated value (power) and it also has the network capability using the Bluetooth protocol. We will show that our solution is much more inexpensive and simple method to measure torque and rpm than before.

  • 화학공장과 같은 장치산업은 고온·고압·유독성 유체가 배관을 통하여 각종 설비들 사이를 이동한다. 온도변화, 진동, 지진, 지반침하와 같은 주변환경의 변화에 의한 배관의 위치 이동과 파손은 인명피해를 수반하는 큰 사고로 연결되는 경우가 많다. 이러한 사고를 방지하기 위하여 배관에 가해지는 각종 충격을 흡수하고, 보완하여 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위한 여러 가지 종류의 익스펜션 조인트(Expansion Joint)를 사용한다. 따라서 사용된 익스펜션 조인트의 변형을 측정하고, 수명을 예측하는 것은 대형사고를 방지하기 위하여 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 익스펜션 조인트의 변형을 일종의 모션으로 이해하고, Hall Effect Sensor와 9-Axis Sensor를 사용하여 변화를 측정하였다. 그리고 범용의 마이컴보드 아두이노와 C언어를 사용하여 측정된 데이터를 모으고, 분석하여 익스펜션 조인트의 변형을 예측할 수 있는 시스템에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • Recently, usage of electric and electronic system for car increases rapidly. Consequently power monitoring supplied to the system is essential for management and controlling. Generally, battery status is monitored through measuring and diagnosing the current measurement method utilizing Hall Effect. Therefore, in this paper, we analysed magnetic field to develop the solution of DC current sensor using Hall Effect which is the core of design and development. By analysing the magnetic field by FEM using Maxwell 3D software, the location of the highest output current and stable part in the Hall IC sensor was shown. Also, the optimal core design of DC current sensor using parametric and Simplex method was presented. A car battery charge and discharge process dependant on time effect on the changing of magnetic field was simulated and compared to the result from the experiment result of actual vehicle.

  • 본 논문에서는 홀 효과(Hall effect) 기반 회전형 위치 센서의 출력 전압에 대한 선형성 및 민감도를 최적화하기 위해 DFSS(Design for Six Sigma) 방법을 적용하였다. 이를 위해 영구 자석의 치수 및 홀센서에 대한 상대 위치 등을 설계 인자로 하여 완전 요인 배치법을 사용하였다. 설계 인자의 수준별 센서 출력 전압값은 자속 밀도에 대한 Biot-Savart 해석해 및 홀 센서 고유의 자속 밀도-출력 전압에 대한 관계식을 이용하여 구하였다. 최적화된 설계 인자들을 반영하여 제작된 회전형 위치 센서의 개선된 출력 전압 측정 결과를 통해 제안된 방법은 간편하면서 실용적으로도 매우 유용한 방법임을 확인하였다.

극미세 교류 플라즈마 내에서의 홀 효과를 이용한 마이크로 자기센서 (A Magnetic Microsensor based on the Hall Effect in an AC Microplasma)

  • This paper presents a new class of magnetic microsensors based on the Hall effect in AC microplasma. In the theoretical study, we develop a simple model of the plasma Hall sensor and express the plasma Hall voltage as a function of magnetic field, plasma discharge field, pressure, and electrode geometry. On this basis, we have designed and fabricated magnetic microsensors using AC neon plasma. In the experiment, we have measured the Hall voltage output of the plasma microsensors for varying five different conditions, including the frequency and the magnitude of magnetic field, the frequency and the magnitude of plasma discharge voltage, and the neon pressure. The fabricated magnetic microsensors show a magnetic field sensitivity of 8.87${\pm}$0.18㎷/G with 4.48% nonlinearity.

  • BLDC 전동기는, 영구자석의 고성능화를 비롯한 소재 기술 향상, 고집적·고기능화를 갖는 구동 IC 기술의 진보, 고점적율화 등의 조립 기술 개선 등으로 인하여 성능이 점점 좋아지고 있다. 이러한 구형파 구동 BLDC 전동기의 장점이 있으면서 보다 사용자의 요구에 대응하기 위해 구형파 구동 BLDC 영구자석 전동기 설계 및 개발, 위치검출방식 회로와 드라이버 개발에 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 스위칭 손실에 의한 효율 저하 및 진동, 소음 등으로 인하여 가격적·기능적인 장점에도 불구하고 그 응용에 있어서는 다소 제한적인 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 정현파가 발생하는 Hall Effect Sensor를 사용하여 BLDC 전동기 회전자의 자속에 비례하여 정현파 신호를 만드는 위치검출 회로를 연구하여 전동기의 효율 증대, 리플 저감, 속도 및 토크 특성이 우수한 정현파 전류 구동을 구현하고자 한다.

Sensitivity Enhancement of a Vertical-Type CMOS Hall Device for a Magnetic Sensor

  • This study presents a vertical-type CMOS Hall device with improved sensitivity to detect a 3D magnetic field in various types of sensors or communication devices. To improve sensitivity, trenches are implanted next to the current input terminal, so that the Hall current becomes maximum. The effect of the dimension and location of trenches on sensitivity is simulated in the COMSOL simulator. A vertical-type Hall device with a width of $16{\mu}m$ and a height of $2{\mu}m$ is optimized for maximum sensitivity. The simulation result shows that it has a 23% better result than a conventional vertical-type CMOS Hall device without a trench.

Coreless Hall Current Sensor for Automotive Inverters Decoupling Cross-coupled Field

  • Automotive inverters may require current sensors for motor torque control, especially, in applications of hybrid electric vehicles or fuel cell vehicles. In this paper, to achieve a compact, integrated and low cost current sensor, a hall current sensor without magnetic core is introduced for integrating an automotive inverter. The compactness of the current sensor is possible by using integrated magnetic concentrators based on the Hall effect. Magnetic fields caused by three-phase currents are analyzed and a magnetic shield design is proposed for decoupling the cross-coupled field. It offers galvanic isolation, wide bandwidth (>100kHz), and accuracy(< 1%). Using 2D FEM analysis, its performance is demonstrated with design parameters at a U-shaped magnetic shield. The proposed coreless current sensor is tested with rated current to validate the linearity and accuracy.

  • BLDC motor is widely used as a servo motor due to high efficiency, high power density, low inertia, and low maintenance. However, BLDC motor generally needs position and velocity sensors to control actuation system. Usually, analog tachometers and encoders have been used for velocity feedback sensors. However, using these types of sensors have problems such as the cost, space, and malfunction. So, This paper is to propose a new velocity measurement method using linear hall-effect and enhanced differentiator for BLDC motor. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, several simulations and experiments are performed. It is shown that the proposed velocity measurement method can satisfy the requirements without using of velocity sensor.
