구연산과 테트라싸이클린으로 처리한 치근면에서 rhBMP-2가 치주인대섬유아세포와 골아세포의 활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Citric Acid and Tetracycline HCl Root Conditioning on rhBMP-2 on Human Periodontal Ligament Fibroblast and Osteoblast cell)

  • The goal of Periodontal treatment is predictable periodontal regeneration. But until now, many products including GTR materials and growth factors are beyond of complete regeneration. BMP can induce ectopic bone formation when implanted into sites such as rat muscle and can greatly enhance healing of bony defects when applied exogenously. BMP can promote periodontal regeneration by their ability to stimulate new bone and new cementum formation. But little is known about optimal conditions required for the application. Root conditioning is used for bioacive root change so altered root surface provides a substrate that promotes chemotaxis, migration and attachment of peridontal cells encouraging connective attachment to the denuded root surface. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the acid conditioning change effect of rhBMP-2 on human periodontal ligament cell and osteoblast cell line. 288 periodontally involved root dentin slices are divided into 6 groups, each 48, 1)control, 2)treated with BMP, 3)treated with citric acid 4)treated with citric acid+BMP 5)treated with tetracycline 6)treated with TC+BMP. Each group was devided half, so 12 root dentin slices were seeded with periodontal ligament cells and 12 were seeded with osteoblasts. At day 2 and 7, cell number, protein assay, ALP activitiy was measured. To investigate morphology of cultured cells, SEM was employed. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 8.0 either t-test or ANOVA test. The results are ; Protein assay and cell number was slightly decreased in CA+BMP group compared to Ca group but it was not statistically significant and ALP activity was much more increased in CA+BMP group compared to CA group so there was no statistically significance between BMP and CA+BMP group and statistically significant compared to control group. Cell number and protein assay was slightly increased in TC group and ALP activity was much less the BMP group and CA group. Cell number and protein and ALP activity was not much increased in TC+BMP group. TC group and TC+BMP group showed cell morphology change in SEM. This results suggested that application of root surface with citric acid before BMP treatment might give better result in periodontal regeneration.

Resistance to Corrosion of Reinforcement of High Volume Fly Ash Concrete

  • Due to the increasing of interest about the eco-friendly concrete, it is increased to use concretes containing by-products of industry such as fly ash(FA), ground granulated blast furnace slag(GGBFS), silica fume(SF), and etc. Especially, these are well known for improving the resistances to reinforcement corrosion in concrete and decreasing chloride ion penetration. The purpose of this experimental research is to evaluate the resistance against corrosion of reinforcement of high volume fly ash(HVFA) concrete which is replaced with high volume fly ash for cement volume. For this purpose, the concrete test specimens were made for various strength level and replacement ratio of FA, and then the compressive strength and diffusion coefficient for chloride ion of them were measured for 28, 91, and 182 days, respectively. Also, corrosion monitoring by half cell potential method was carried out for the made lollypop concrete test specimens to detect the time of corrosion initiation for reinforcement in concrete. As a result, it was observed from the test results that the compressive strength of HVFA concrete was decreased with increasing replacement ratio of FA but long-term resistances against reinforcement corrosion and chloride ion penetration of that were increased.

수정된 폴리올법으로 합성된 Pt/C를 이용한 산소환원반응성 및 고분자전해질 연료전지 성능 연구 (A Study on Catalytic Activity of Oxygen Reduction Reaction and Performance of PEMFC using Pt/C Synthesized by Modified Polyol)

  • 해당 연구에서는 수정된 폴리올법을 이용하여 합성한 카본블랙 탄소지지체의 Pt촉매의 전기적, 전기화학적 특성을 평가하였다. 또한 Polyol_Pt/C 촉매는 고분자전해질연료전지의 공기극에 적용하여 산소환원반응성을 측정하였다. 산소환원반응성과 고분자전해질연료전지 성능평가를 통해 상용 Pt/C (JM_Pt/C)촉매와 비교하여 전기화학적인 촉매성능을 비교하였다. 촉매의 활성표면적을 구하기 위해 순환전압전류주사법을 이용하였고, 산소환원반응성을 측정하기 위해 회전원판전극으로 선형주사전류법을 이용하였다. 또한 고분자전해질연료전지 완전지 성능 측정을 진행하였다. 그 결과 Polyol_Pt/C 촉매의 활성표면적 ($196m^2g^{-1}$)은 JM_Pt/C 촉매의 그 값 ($183m^2g^{-1}$) 보다 우수하였다. 촉매들의 산소환원반응성에 경우에도 Polyol_Pt/C 촉매는 JM_Pt/C 촉매보다 우수한 반파장전위 및 한계전류밀도를 나타내었다. 또한 완전지 평가시, MEA 공기극을 위한 Polyol_Pt/C 촉매 담지량을 기존의 0.4에서 0.15로 줄였을 때, 성능저하가 적게 나타났고, 300시간의 장기간 성능 평가에서도 연료전지 성능이 거의 일정하게 유지되었다. 이를 토대로 수정된 폴리올법에 의해 합성된 Polyol_Pt/C 촉매는 경제적인 이용 및 우수한 내구성을 가지고 있음을 밝혀내었다.

소형 콘의 온도보상 기법 연구 (Study of Temperature Compensation method in Mini-Cones)

  • 소형 콘은 해상도가 뛰어나 국부영역의 탐지를 위하여 다양하게 활용되고있다. 소형 콘은 변형률계 부착 면적이 부족하여 half-bridge 형태로 회로를 구성하고 있으며, 이는 주변온도 변화에 의하여 민감하게 반응하는 것으로 알려져있다. 본 논문의 목적은 이러한 온도영향을 해소하기 위하여 소형 콘의 온도보상 기법에 관한 연구를 수행하는 것이다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위하여 직경과 길이가 각각 15mm 그리고 56mm인 소형 콘을 개발하였다. 로드셀은 온도변화만을 반영할 수 있는 공간을 확보하기 위하여 후면으로 54mm 연장하여 제작되었다. 온도보상회로는 스트레인 게이지를 선단저항 부분, 주면마찰 부분 그리고 연장한 로드셀에 부착하여 소형 콘 내에서 휘트스톤 브리지(Wheatstone bridge) 회로를 구성하였다. 소형 콘의 일반적 회로구성인 half-bridge도 내부에 함께 구성하여 상호간의 결과값을 비교 및 고찰하였다. 여름과 겨울의 계절적인 온도변화에 따라 측정값의 오차를 검증하기 위하여 계절적 온도 변화 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 지반다짐 실험으로 지반의 상대밀도를 증가시켜 관입 시 주변 온도변화에 따라 측정값 변화도 관찰하였다. 측정결과 온도보상회로를 이용하여 측정한 값은 half-bridge 회로로 측정한 값과 차이를 보였으며, 더욱 안정화되고 이상적인 경향을 보였다. 본 논문은 소형 콘 사용시 온 도 영향에 대한 문제를 해소하고 더욱 신뢰성 높은 측정값을 획득할 수 있는 기법에 대하여 제시하였다.

임상간기능검사법(臨床肝機能檢査法)으로서의 교질형방사성금(膠質形放射性金)의 혈중소실율(血中消失率)의 의의(意義)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Significance of the Colloidal Radiogold Disappearance Rate as a Simple Clinical Liver Function Test)

  • Liver functions in diffuse parenchymal liver disease such as cirrhosis of the liver depend largely on the effective hepatic blood flow rather than on the individual cell functions. Clinical methods of measuring the hepatic blood flow were developed recently by the application of colloidal disappearance rate. In order to correlate the radiogold disappearance rate to conventional biochemical liver function tests, 21 normal subjects and 80 cases of cirrhosis of the liver were studied with both methods. The results are summarized as following: 1. The validity of external counting method to measure the blood disappearance rate of colloidal radiogold was confirmed by in vitro counting of the serial blood samples. 2. The blood disappearance rate of collidal radiogold was essentially the same. as the liver uptake rate of colloidal radiogold in normal and cirrhotic subjects with various degrees of functional disturbance. And it seemed there was no serious extrahepatic removal of the colloidal radiogold. 3. The disappearance rate of colloidal radiogold was not significantly changed by the posture change, but was enhanced by ingestion of 500 ml of water. 4. The disappearance rate of colloidal radiogold was not influenced by single dose of Telepaque, while BSP retention was increased after Telepaque. 5. The mean disappearance half time of colloidal radiogold in normal subjects was $2.49{\pm}0.391$(S.D.) minutes. The mean normal disappearance rate constant (K value) was $0.285{\pm}0.0428$(S.D.)/minute. 6. The colloidal radiogold disappearance half time was abnormally prolonged (over 3.2 min.) in $87.7{\pm}3.68$(S.D.) % of cirrhotic subjects. 7. In patients of liver cirrhosis the blood disappearance rate of colloidal radiogold correlated well to serum albumin and globulin levels and BSP retention which were considered to reflect functions of hepatic parenchymal cells. There was, however, no correlation between colloidal disappearance rate and thymol turbidity test, serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase, and serm alkaline phosphatase activities. The latters were considered to be associated with the activity of liver disease.

이중 페로브스카이트 촉매 PrBaMn2O5+δ의 고온전기분해조(Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell) 연료극 촉매로 적용 가능성에 대한 연구 (Study on Possibility of PrBaMn2O5+δ as Fuel Electrode Material of Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell)

  • The hydrogen($H_2$) is promising energy carrier of renewable energy in the microgrid system such as small village and military base due to its high energy density, pure emission and convenient transportation. $H_2$ can be generated by photocatalytic water splitting, gasification of biomass and water electrolysis driven by solar cell or wind turbine. Solid oxide electrolysis cells(SOECs) are the most efficient way to mass production due to high operating temperature improving the electrode kinetics and reducing the electrolyte resistance. The SOECs are consist of nickel-yttria stabilized zirconia(NiO-YSZ) fuel electrode / YSZ electrolyte / lanthanum strontium manganite-YSZ(LSM-YSZ) air electrode due to similarity to Solid Oxide Fuel Cells(SOFCs). The Ni-YSZ most widely used fuel electrode shows several problems at SOEC mode such as degradation of the fuel electrode because of Ni particle's redox reaction and agglomeration. Therefore Ni-YSZ need to be replaced to an alternative fuel electrode material. In this study, We studied on the Double perovskite $PrBrMnO_{5+{\delta}}$(PBMO) due to its high electric conductivity, catalytic activity and electrochemical stability. PBMO was impregnated into the scaffold electrolyte $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}Ga_{0.85}Mg_{0.15}O_{3-{\delta}}$(LSGM) to be synthesized at low temperature for avoiding secondary phase generated when it exposed to high temperature. The Half cell test was conducted at SOECs and SOFCs modes.

인공해수 침지조건에 따른 부식촉진시험과 염화물침투해석에 대한 연구 (A Study of Accelerated Corrosion Test and Chloride Penetration Analysis with Artificial Seawater Immersion Condition)

  • 해수중 환경에서 콘크리트 구조물 내에 매립된 철근은 용존산소의 부족으로 부식이 잘 발생하지 않는다. 이 때문에 해수중 환경의 부식촉진시험은 전기화학적인 방법으로 실시되어, 실제 부식 메커니즘과 맞지 않고 장기거동과의 상관성 도출도 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 해수중 환경에서의 부식촉진시험법을 정립하기 위해 온도와 염화물농도를 주된 변수로 부식촉진시험을 실시하였다. 부식의 발생 유무는 갈바닉 전위측정법과 반전지전위법을 통한 철근부식모니터링 결과로 판단하였다. 부식촉진시험 결과 온도의 영향이 가장 지배적이라고 평가되었다. 염화물량은 시험 시편의 깊이별 염화물 농도를 측정하였다. 동일한 조건으로 FEM 내구성 해석 프로그램인 DuCOM을 통해 염화물침투 해석을 실시하여 입증하였다. 또한, 인공해수 침지 조건에 따른 용존 산소량은 실험을 통해 구했으며 이를 통해 부식촉진시험 결과의 타당성을 검증하였다.

온도조건에 따른 철근부식 촉진시험과 장기폭로시험의 상관성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Correlation Between Accelerated Corrosion Test and Long-term Exposure Test According to the Temperature Condition)

  • 본 논문에서는 침지내 환경을 재현한 철근부식촉진시험과 장기폭로시험을 실시하였다. 환경조건을 변수로 시험을 실시하였으며, 반전지전위법을 통한 철근부식 모니터링을 실시하였다. 부식촉진 시험결과 시험조건 별 상관계수 도출을 할 수 있었다. 촉진시험은 온도조건에 따라 인공해수의 온도가 $20^{\circ}C$인 case 1과 $65^{\circ}C$인 case 2로 구분하여 실시하였다. 고온 조건인 case 2가 1.7~1.8배 정도 상온조건인 case 1에 비해 부식을 촉진시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 해양환경시험장에서의 장기폭로시험결과와의 비교를 통해 case 1의 경우 2.45~2.94의 상관계수를 case 2의 경우 4.37~4.99의 상관계수를 나타내었다.

Design of an EEPROM for a MCU with the Wide Voltage Range

  • In this paper, we design a 256 kbits EEPROM for a MCU (Microcontroller unit) with the wide voltage range of 1.8 V to 5.5 V. The memory space of the EEPROM is separated into a program and data region. An option memory region is added for storing user IDs, serial numbers and so forth. By making HPWs (High-voltage P-wells) of EEPROM cell arrays with the same bias voltages in accordance with the operation modes shared in a double word unit, we can reduce the HPW-to-HPW space by a half and hence the area of the EEPROM cell arrays by 9.1 percent. Also, we propose a page buffer circuit reducing a test time, and a write-verify-read mode securing a reliability of the EEPROM. Furthermore, we propose a DC-DC converter that can be applied to a MCU with the wide voltage range. Finally, we come up with a method of obtaining the oscillation period of a charge pump. The layout size of the designed 256 kbits EEPROM IP with MagnaChip's 0.18 ${\mu}m$ EEPROM process is $1581.55{\mu}m{\times}792.00{\mu}m$.

Cervical Cytological Screening Results of 8,495 Cases in Turkey - Common Inflammation but Infrequent Epithelial Cell Abnormalities?

  • Background: Cervical cancer is the ninth most common cancer among females in Turkey. Cervical smear is a routine screening test used for the detection of cervical abnormalities and also it detects certain infections of the cervix. Objective: To analyze cervical smear results of our clinic in order to determine most frequent pathology of the women in North Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Materials and Methods: In a retrospective study design, 8,495 cervical cytology cases diagnosed at the Pathology Department of the Regional Education and Research Hospital in Erzurum over the last one and half years extending from August 2012 to December 2013 were investigated. Results: The most common diagnosis was found to be inflammation, 65.5 % (5,566 out of 8,495), and the least was squamous epithelial abnormalities 0.2% (13 out of 8,495). There was some variation among the three pathologists regarding diagnosis but findings for the latter. Conclusions: Regular cervical smear tests are one of the most important strategies in early diagnosis of cervical cancer but there are conflicting data regarding the prevalence of epithelial cell abnormalities in Turkey, and the reasons o f this should be investigated.
