Curl Wave Formation and Hair Damage by the Rinsing (중간 세척이 컬 웨이브 형성과 모발 손상에 미치는 영향)

  • Perm is one the of the most common thing in a beauty salon like hair-cut and hair perm needs processing solutions which is chemical substances. Those chemical substances damage the hair cuticle. Damaged hair cuticles with mistakes of perm will follow with the next performance and it will cause more damage to hair. As damage of hair cuticle become worse, it is harder to recover the hair cuticle like before. Therefore, this study shows that plain rinse is the way to reduce the damage of hair cuticle with perm as much as possible. With experiments, I suggest the right way to do plain rinse to satisfy customers' demand and reduce the damage. During the research, I figured that plain rinse with the knowledge, structure of hair cuticle, principle of perm and plain rinse, is very needed. The hair with plain rinse have more elastic curl and have less scales which came off from hair cuticle than the hair without plain rinse. This experiment concludes that hairdresser has to figure out about the time, temperature and type of water depends on the degree of damaged hair of customers. In order to perm, there is no way to not to use chemical substances to perm. Therefore, hairdresser has to choose suitable processing solutions and right steps, and as this is the age of 'well-being' boom, hairdresser must try to keep the healthy hair. Consequently, in order to meet the demands and conditions of customers, hairdresser needs to find the right method to do plain rinse and use the method in perm.

Effects of Service Attributes on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Beauty Salon (미용실 서비스 속성이 고객 만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: In beauty industry, service quality is very critical, because it impacts on the customer's positive attitude and behavior to the beauty salon or beauty brand. Thus, this research examines the effects of service attributes on customer satisfaction and loyalty in beauty salon. This research suggests the guidelines for how beauty salons should manage their physical environment, price policy, professional skills, and employees that improve management and business performance. Research design, data, and methodology: This study examines the structural relationship between service attributes, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. Service attributes divide into four sub-dimensions such as servicescape, price service, technical service, and employee service. In order to test the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and examined in previous studies. A total of 160 questionnaires were distributed and collected, and 150 were used for analysis except 10 that were unresponsive or unfaithful. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical package program. Result: The results of this research are as follows. First, all sub-dimensions of service attributes such as servicescape, price service, technical service, and employee service have significant positive impacts on satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction have significant impact on loyalty. Conclusions: This study suggests an integrated model of the relationship that the characteristics of beauty salon service attributes affect customer loyalty through satisfaction, and suggests how to manage and allocate limited resources in the beauty industry. The findings of this research indicate that the level of customer satisfaction is shown to be increased by servicescape, technical characteristics, value of money, and human attributes. Thus, beauty salon management should focus on the relationship with their customers how to improve customer loyalty through satisfaction. The quality of beauty service influences customer's attitudes and behaviors toward beauty salon. Considering the beauty business, where the quality and customer satisfaction of beauty services are determined by the hairdresser's beauty skills,, the beauty salons must find ways to improve their skills and new trend of hair style. If beauty salon customers perceive the high quality of beauty service, they revisit beauty salon and recommend it to others.

A Comparative Study of Korean and Australian Women's Hair Care Behavior (한국과 호주여성의 모발관리행동 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare hair care behaviors between Korean and Australian women whose individual hair characteristics, social backgrounds, and culture were different from each other. Then, this study also aims to provide some basic data for professionals in the field of beauty education and industry. Data were collected through a survey with 208 Australian females and 392 Korean females. Analyses included t-test, frequency analysis, and one-way ANOVA. The results are as follows: The Korean women mostly had black and brown natural hair, and 68.4% of them had color. On the other hand, the Australian surveyees had brown and dark blonde, and 85.4% of them had color. They both were asked why they were using hair products. The Koreans responded that they were for hair moisturization, while the Australians said they were for producing a hair style they wanted. In addition, the Koreans made the most use of a hair conditioner and hair wax, while the Australian women did a hair spray and gloss. As far as the satisfaction with beauty salon service goes, the Australian respondents showed more service satisfaction than the Koreans on average. The homogeneity of the two nations' average points was t-tested. The result indicated that significant differences existed in the hair shop satisfaction with services, such as dyeing, haircut, blow dry, shampooing and massaging, and staff attitudes.

Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction of Franchise Hairshop Customers (프렌차이즈 헤어샵 고객의 만족도 향상을 위해 고려해야 할 요인들)

  • In order to suggest the factors to be managed for customer satisfaction management in the franchise hair salon industry, a survey was conducted on the customers' experiences toward consumers who have experience using domestic franchise hair shop service in Korea. An online survey was conducted for 1,000 consumers who had used the top five franchise hair salon services within 6 months of the survey. According to the result of research on service quality(SERVQUAL)'s 5 factors- tangibleness, responsiveness, assurance, reliability, and empathy, assurance has the greatest impact on satisfaction, followed by responsiveness, empathy, reliability, and tangibleness. The service quality satisfaction of the five companies surveyed was 3.77 out of 5, indicating that there is much room for future satisfaction. This study aims to provide information on which factors should be invested more with limited resources to improve customer satisfaction.

  • This study was conducted on men and women in their teens and 50s living in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do to find out the relevance between demographic characteristics of lifestyle clusters and the characteristics of beauty salon use. To analyze the data of a total of 522 people collected, statistical processing was performed with analysis of frequency, analysis of factor, analysis of reliability, analysis of cluster, analysis of variance and analysis of cross. As a result, lifestyle group types were classified as fashion and social focus types, family-oriented types, and family-free types. These types were highly related to age, final education, and marital status among demographic characteristics, and were also found to be highly relevant to the characteristics of beauty salon use, such as beauty salon location and frequently used beauty services. The results of this study are thought to be the basic data that can be used for beauty salon marketing.

A Study on the Change in Beauty Environment (미용환경변화에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this Study is to provide basic data for the development of the beauty industry to meet its increased demand and liberated world markets more properly by analyzing the change of beauty environment by ages. For the Study, the literature and articles of costume and beauty, periodicals of beauty companies, and internet data were referred to review and analyze changing proceeds of beauty industries from the 1900 to the present by ages. The findings of the Study are as follows: We had the first barber shop and hairdressing salon in 1901 and 1920, respectively, after the Danbal Ryeong(A Crop Ordinance); modern education for women and active social movements resulted in change of hair styles; permanent wave tools and chemicals began to be used in the 1930s; and more people started to visit hairdressing salons after 1950s. In turn change of hair styles promoted the development of beauty technologies and the diversity of beauty tools and products. Now up-to-date instrument and products for the health of hair are developed, hairdresser provide kinder service for their customers and adjust their floor space accordingly, and, as shown in five-day workweek, are making their endeavors to improve wellbeing of their employees.

  • As the importance of national technical qualifications for hairdressers to verify qualifications and skills as a professional is increasing, it is time to improve achievement motivation and job attitudes through research on job attitudes perceived by hair designers toward hair practical tasks. As a result of studying the effect on the job attitude of a hairstylist working in a hair salon, it was found that blow-drying induced the hairstylist's job efficacy among the practical tasks for the hairdresser's hair national technology certification, and scalp scaling and shampoo were the job of the hairstylist. was found to induce satisfaction. Based on the research results, it is possible to present a variety of practical certification tasks with practicality that can be usefully applied to customers in various techniques in the beauty industry, rather than unrealistic practical techniques limited only to wigs. We want to induce improvement. In addition, I believe that this study will provide basic data for the development of various practical tasks to improve the achievement motivation of hair designers.

Customer Satisfaction Management and Service Quality According to the DISC Behavior Type

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the service improvement and marketing strategy to measure the effect of the DISC (dominance, influence, steadiness, conscientiousness) behavior type of hair salon workers on service quality and marketing. Research design, data and methodology: 236 responses were analyzed by distributing questionnaires to hair salon workers through SNS. Factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied and the influence of job factors on work satisfaction and turnover intention, and the statistical significance of the DISC behavioral type adjustment effect verified. Results: First, among the general characteristics of the survey subjects, the most common respondents were women and interns in their twenties, with less than four years of experience and less than three years of work experience on site. Second, the working environment, employee relations and compensation policies caused by work-related factors have shown a major influence on work satisfaction. Third, the working environment and human relationships among the job factors have an impact on turnover intention. Conclusions: The working environment, human relations, and compensation system derived as job factors had a crucial effect in service quality and marketing on job satisfaction, and among job factors, working environment and human relations had a significant influence on turnover intention.

Convergence Study on the Effect of Hair Beauty Salon Store Image, Price, Human Service, and Trust on Customer Satisfaction (헤어 미용실 점포 이미지, 가격, 인적 서비스, 신뢰가 고객만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of this study is a convergence study to find out the relationship between store image, price, human service, and trust on customer satisfaction among the shop selection attributes of customers using hair beauty salons. This study analyzed the data of 500 copies of questionnaires for women who used hair beauty salons within the last 6 months using the SPSS v.22 statistical package program. As a result, store image (B= 1.321, p= .004), price (B= 1.189, p= .032), human service (B= 1.013, p= .000), trust (B= .782, p = .000) was found to have a meaningful positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction, and the ranking of influence was store image (β= .445), human service (β= .377), and price (β= .252). ), And trust (β= .167). Therefore, through this study, it was found that the higher the store image, personal service, price, and trust of the customer's hair salon, the higher the customer satisfaction. We confirmed the detailed influence of the effect of customer's shop selection attributes on customer satisfaction. Among them, store image and human service were found to be factors influencing customer satisfaction. It is necessary to find an economical and efficient way to improve store image, and to cultivate competency to strengthen human service. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for establishing a differentiated marketing strategy of cosmetic services industry.

Effective and efficient hair salon to salon management ideas on display for customer satisfaction by providing the strategy was to provide useful information. The results of this study are as follows: First, Lighting and the overall atmosphere is one of the most influencing lifestyle factors' convenience-oriented(significance level p< 0.05). Second, Color is one of the most popular lifestyle factors that affect 'appearance-oriented'(significance level p< 0.05). Third, 'Jean Louis David' is a young progressive display of consumption inclination with beauty shop customers appeared to be suitable for(significance level p< 0.05).
