The structure of organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) with typical heterostructure consists of anode, hole injection layer, hole transport layer, light-emitting layer, electron transport layer, electron injection layer, and cathode. 4,4bis[N-(1-napthyl)-N-phenyl-amino]-biphenyl(NPB) used as a hole transport layer and 4'4-bis(2,2'-diphenyl vinyl)-1,1'-biphenyl(DPVBi) used as a blue light emitting layer were graded-mixed at selected ratio. Interface at heterojunction between the hole transport layer and the elecrtron transport layer restricts carrier's transfer. Mixing of the hole transport layer and the emitting layer reduces abrupt interface between the hole transport layer and the electron transport layer. The operating voltage of OLED devices with graded mixed-layer structure is 2.8 V at 1 $cd/m^2$ which is significantly lower than that of OLED device with typical heterostructure. The luminance of OLED devices with graded mixed-layer structure is 21,000 $cd/m^2$ , which is much higher than that of OLED device with typical heterostructure. This indicates that the graded mixed-layer enhances the movement of carriers by reducing the discontinuity of highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) of the interface between hole transport layer and emitting layer.

In this study, we have investigated the light-emitting property of the EL device with the thickness ratio of the HTL/ETL, which was 500$\AA$:500$\AA$, 400$\AA$:600$\AA$, 600$\AA$:400$\AA$. The ALq$_3$ was used for the ETL. We have studied the relation of voltage, contrase, efficiency for current density. Emission was observed above 10mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and luminance was measured to be 1030cd/$m^2$ at a current density of 100mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in 500$\AA$/500$\AA$ sample. A luminance of over 2500cd/$m^2$ was also observed after the final fabrication process in 500$\AA$/500$\AA$ sample

We demonstrate fluorescent green organic lightemitting diodes employing a rhenium oxide ($ReO_3$)-doped N,N-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1,1'-biphenyl)-4,4'-diamine (NPB) hole transporting layer (HTL). The devices exhibit significantly reduced driving voltages as well as prolonged lifetime. Details of $ReO_3$ doping effects are described in terms of charge transfer complex and stabilization of HTL morphology.

In this paper, the single and double heterostructure organic light-emitting devices(OLEDs) were fabricated. The single heterostructure OLED(TYPE 1) is consisted of TPD as a HTL(hole transfer layer) and Alq$_3$as an EML(emitting layer). The double heterostructure OLED(TYPE 2) is consisted of TPD as a HTL, Alq$_3$as an EML and PBD as an ETL(electron transfer layer). The another double heterostructure OLED(TYPE 3) is consisted of TPD as a HTL, PBD as an EML and Alq$_3$as an ETL. We obtained a strong green emission device with maximum EL emission wavelength 500nm in TYPE 3. When the applied voltage was 12V, the emission luminescence was 120.9cd/㎡. The chromaticity index of TYPE 3 was x=0.29, y=0.50. In the characteristic plot of current-voltage, TYPE 3 device was turned on at 6.9V. This voltage was a fairly low turn-on voltage. TYPE 1 and 2 device were turned on at 10V and 8.9V respectively. These types showed no good properties over that of TYPE 3.

This paper has been studied on characteristics of organic light-emitting device with various cathode materials. These catode materials were Al：Li(5%), Al, Cu, CsF/Al. And in these devices, HTL(hole transfer layer) was TPD and EML(emitting layer) was Alq$\sub$3/. We studied the I-V characteristics for each device. And then, the turn-on voltage of device for Al-Li(5%), Al, Cu, CsF/Al cathode were 7, 9, 13, 3V respectively. So, the CsF/Al cathode is superior to other cathode materials for I-V characteristics.

Thermal transfer of emitting layer from the donor film to the substrates depends on the physical interaction between the donor film, the emitting layer, and the hole-transport layer (HTL). The interfacial adhesion between the donor film and the EML, the cohesive force of the EML, and the interfacial adhesion between the EML and the HIL have to be optimized to achieve good LITI pattern quality. It was found that surface pretreatment of the donor plate was important on the laser induced thermal transfer of the emitting layer onto the HIL layer of the OLED devices.

The Organic Electroluminescence (OEL) device, that was consisted of ALq3(8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum) and TPD(N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine), has been used. We investigated characteristics of brightness and current density about OEL that was oxidated each layers. We used two samples that were fabricated each continuous and non-continuous method. Emission was observed above 10mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and luminance was measured to be 1530cd/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at a current density of 100mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$. A luminance of over 2600cd/$\textrm{cm}^2$ was also observed after the final fabrication process.

In this study, multi layer type OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) has been fabricated using $Snq_2$, $Snq_4$, and $Alq_3$ for development of high efficiency, electrical and optical properties of multi layer type OLED investigated. The HTL(Hole Transfer Layer) and EML(Emitting Material Layer) were fabricated by using vacuum evaporation on ITO electrode, and its thickness controlled using thickness monitor. Al was used as a cathode. The electrical and optical properties such as J-V, brightness-V and EL spectrum of OLED device was measured using I.V.L.T system. The result, brightness of $Alq_3$, $Snq_2$ and $Snq_4$ were $3900cd/m^2$, $63cd/m^2$ and $23cd/m^2$ respectively.

Application of organic materials with low cost, easy fabrication and advantages of flexible device are increasing attention by research work. Recently, one of them, organic solar cells were rapidly increased efficiency with regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyricacidmethylester (PCBM) used typical material. To increased efficiency of organic solar cell has tried control of domain of PCBM and crystallite of P3HT by thermal annealing and solvent vapor annealing. [4-6] In those annealing effects, be made inefficiently efficiency, which is increased fill factor (FF), and current density by phase-separated morphology with blended P3HT and PCBM. In addition, increased conductivity by modified hole transfer layer (HTL) such as Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), increased both optical and conducting effect by titanium oxide (TiOx), and changed cathode material for control work function were increased efficiency of Organic solar cell. In this study, we had described effect of organic photovoltaics by conductivity of interlayer such as PEDOT:PSS and TCO (Transparent conducting oxide) such as ITO, which is used P3HT and PCBM. And, we have measured with exactly defined shadow mask to study effect of solar cell efficiency according to conductivity of hole transfer layer.

Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic materials have been of great interest due to their possible applications for large-area flat-panel displays. They are attractive because of their capability of multi-color emission, and low operation voltage. An approach to realize such device characteristics is to use active layers of lanthanide complexes with their inherent extremely sharp emission bands in stead of commonly known organic dyes. In general, organic molecular compounds show emission due to their $\pi$-$\pi*$ transitions resulting in luminescence bandwidths of about 80 to 100nm. Spin statistic estimations lead to an internal quantum efficiency of dye-based EL devices limited to 25%. On the contrary, the fluorescence of lanthanide complexes is based on an intramolecular energy transfer from the triplet of the organic ligand to the 4f energy states of the ion. Therefore, theoretical internal quantum efficiency is principally not limited. In this study, Powders of TPD, $Eu(TTA)_3(phen) and AlQ_3$ in a boat were subsequently heated to their sublimation temperatures to obtain the growth rates of 0.2~0.3nm/s. Organic electrolumnescent devices(OELD) with a structure of $glass substrate/ITO/Eu(TTA)_3(phen)/AI, glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Eu(TTA)_3(phen)/AI and glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Eu(TTA)_3(phen)/AIQ_3AI$ structures were fabricated by vacuum evaporation method, where aromatic diamine(TPD) was used as a hole transporting material, $Eu(TTA)_3(phen)$ as an emitting material, and Tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)Aluminum$(AlQ_3)$ as an electron transporting layer. Electroluminescent(EL) and current density-voltage(J-V) characteristics of these OELDs with various thickness of $Eu(TTA)_3(phen)$ layer were investigated. The triple-layer structure devices show the red EL spectrum at the wavelength of 613nm, which is almost the same as the photoluminescent(PL) spectrum of $Eu(TTA)_3(phen)$.It was found from the J-V characteristics of these devices that the current density is not dependent on the applied field, but on the electric field.
