  • Combining ability in mungbean was studied in 15 quantitative traits through a 6 $\times$ 6 diallel cross. Both additive and non-additive gene effects were found conditioning the inheritane of nodes of the first peduncle, clusters per plant, clusters on main stem and branches, pods per plant, 1000 seed weight, grain yield per plant, biomass, and harvest index. The additive gene action was found significant for nodes on main stem, average internodal length, branches per plant, pods per cluster, pod length, and seeds per pod. The predominace of additive genetic variance was observed in all traits. For grain yield and yield components, the best combiner were VC3902A, VC1560D and ML-5, while the best combinations were the crosses VC3902A $\times$ ML-5, VC1560D $\times$ ML-5, and NM 92 $\times$ VC1560D.

  • In this study, analysis is performed on entropy generation during cilia transport of water based titanium dioxide nanoparticles in the presence of viscous dissipation. Moreover, thermal heat flux is considered at the surface of a channel with ciliated walls. Mathematical formulation is constructed in the form of nonlinear partial differential equations. Making use of suitable variables, the set of partial differential equations is reduced to coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Closed form exact solutions are obtained for velocity, temperature, and pressure gradient. Graphical illustrations for emerging flow parameters, such as Hartmann number (Ha), Brinkmann number (Br), radiation parameter (Rn), and flow rate, have been prepared in order to capture the physical behavior of these parameters. The main goal (i.e., the minimizing of entropy generation) of the second law of thermodynamics can be achieved by decreasing the magnitude of Br, Ha and ${\Lambda}$ parameters.

  • Various catalysts such as formic acid, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium bicarbonate, carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas were used for hydrolyzates production from deoiled mackerel muscle by subcritical water hydrolysis. Above 99% hydrolysis yield was obtained using sodium bicarbonate catalyst at $260^{\circ}C/70bar$. Histamine and heavy metals concentration were reduced in hydrolyzates. Highest amount of amino acid (400.36 mg/g) and reducing sugar (24.75 mg/g) were found in hydrolyzate obtained at $260^{\circ}C/70bar$ and $220^{\circ}C/30bar$, respectively with sodium bicarbonate catalyst. Antioxidant and ACE-inhibitory activities were significantly higher in hydrolyzates obtained using sodium bicarbonate than that of others.

  • The main aim of this paper is to establish a new class of integrals involving the generalized Galu$Galu{\grave{e}}$-type Struve function with the different type of polynomials such as Jacobi, Legendre, and Hermite. Also, we derive the integral formula involving Legendre, Wright generalized Bessel and generalized Hypergeometric functions. The results obtained here are general in nature and can deduce many known and new integral formulas involving the various type of polynomials.

  • The reduction of energy consumption at the base station (BS) has become more important recently. In this paper, we consider the adaptive muting of the antennas based on the predicted future traffic load to reduce the energy consumption where the number of active antennas is adaptively adjusted according to the predicted future traffic load. Given that traffic load is sequential data, three different RNN structures, namely long-short term memory (LSTM), gated recurrent unit (GRU), and bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM) are considered for the future traffic load prediction. Through the performance evaluation based on the actual traffic load collected from the Afghanistan telecom company, we confirm that the traffic load can be estimated accurately and the overall power consumption can also be reduced significantly using the antenna musing.

  • Genetic transformation was carried out by using biolistic gun method. The hypocotyl derived embryogenic calli (explants) of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cv. Cocker-312 were transformed with a recombinant pGreen II plasmid, in which both, bar (selection marker) and GUS (${\beta}$-glucuronidase) reporter genes were incorporated. Explants were arranged on osmoticum-containing medium (0.5M mannitol) 4 hours prior to and 16 hours after bombardment that was resulted into an increase about >80% for GUS stable expression. 3 days after bombardment, GUS assay was performed, which exhibited, $18.36{\pm}1.00$ calli showed blue spots. The transformed embryogenic calli were cultured on selection medium (@ 6 mg/L basta) for 3 months. The putative transgenic plants were developed via selective somatic embryogenesis (@1.50 mg/L basta); maximum $27.58{\pm}1.25$ somatic embryos were obtained while $17.47{\pm}1.00$ embryos developed into plantlets (@ 0.75mg/L basta). In five independent experiments, up to 7.24% transformation efficiency was recorded. The presence of the transgenes was analyzed by using PCR and southern hybridization analysis. The transgenic plants were developed with in 6-7 months, but mostly transformants were abnormal in morphology.

  • The effect of cotton leaf mosaic disease on morphology, yield and fibre characteristics was examined for a susceptible cotton candidate variety CRIS-168. Plants inoculated at most susceptible growth stage (six week) under screen house showed severe mosaic symptoms. There was a significant reduction in plant height and yield. Cotton leaf mosaic disease was found to produce severe effects on plant morphology with 24.1% reduction in plant height, 25% in internode length and 37.5% in number of sympodia on main stem. However no changes were observed against number of monopodial branches per plant. Inoculated plants showed 82% decrease in yield/plant, 80% in number of boll set/ plant, 12.1% in boll weight, 12.8% in lint weight, 10.8% in seed weight, and 6.8% in seed index. Cotton leaf mosaic disease also showed effects on fibre characteristics with 0.8% decrease in GOT and 1.6% in fibre length. In contrast, uniformity ratio, fibre fineness and maturity index was increased by 20.5%, 14.4% and 0.9%, respectively.

  • Hatchery waste including infertile eggs, dead embryos in shell, dead or low grade chicks was cooked at $100^{\circ}C$ for 15 minutes and then oven dried and ground. Hatchery waste meal (HWM) thus prepared contained 44.25% protein, 4,573 kcal/kg gross energy, 3,600 kcal/kg metabolizable energy, 30% ether extract, 1.9% fibre, 14% ash, 9.8% nitrogen free extract, 7.26% Ca, 0.84%P, 1.86% lysine and 0.66% methionine with no Salmonella and E. coli. In biological evaluation trial, significantly higher weight gain was observed in ration containing 12% HWM compared with that containing similar amount of fish meal. Protein efficiency ratio on the two rations was 3.96 vs 2.85; protein digestibility, 86.02 vs 71.9; net protein utilization, 64.9 vs 42.37 and biological value, 75.37 vs 58.84, respectively, indicating better balance of amino acids in HWM compared with fish meal. Growth performance trial on broiler chicks also revealed better weight gain and feed efficiency on ration containing 12% HWM than that containing similar level of fish meal.

  • Highly dispersive S-boxes are desirable in cryptosystems as nonlinear confusion sublayers for resisting modern attacks. For a near optimal cryptosystem resistant to modern cryptanalysis, a highly nonlinear and low differential probability (DP) value is required. We propose a method based on a piecewise linear chaotic map (PWLCM) with optimization conditions. Thus, the linear propagation of information in a cryptosystem appearing as a high DP during differential cryptanalysis of an S-box is minimized. While mapping from the chaotic trajectory to integer domain, a randomness test is performed that justifies the nonlinear behavior of the highly dispersive and nonlinear chaotic S-box. The proposed scheme is vetted using well-established cryptographic performance criteria. The proposed S-box meets the cryptographic performance criteria and further minimizes the differential propagation justified by the low DP value. The suitability of the proposed S-box is also tested using an image encryption algorithm. Results show that the proposed S-box as a confusion component entails a high level of security and improves resistance against all known attacks.
