The domestic fire resistance performance test is conducted as a prescriptive design method such as quality test. In quality test there are 2 methods, unloaded fire resistance test and fire resistance test under load. In realistic, these tests, however, have problems with expense, time and diversity of structure. This study reviewed fire resistance performance of H-beam flexural member by thermal stress analysis using finite element ABAQUS program. This research is for the performance-based design reviewing applicability of domestic standard. As a result of this study, limit temperatures per each load ratio provied for proper performance of fire resistancy.

In recent year, column member is used for square hollow section(5.H.5) and beam member is used for H-section. But 5.H.5 column has vulnerability because of low flexural stiffness between column and beam connection joints. To reinforce this vulnerability, 5.H.5 column filled with concrete and concrete slab connection compounded with H-beam is developed in many ways. In this paper, modelling of predicting behavior of various types of connections is studied using finite element method. k order to simulate the actual behavior, a three-dimensional modelling is used. A simple efficient contact algorithm with a new gap element is employed to simulate the interaction between 5.H.5 column and concrete, The modelling result$ are compared with the experimental results.
This study was performed to verify the effect of axial force due to restraint on the
mechanical behavior and the average crack spacing of the reinforced concrett. ilexural
menlbers. For. this purpose, the flexural sttvngt.h and rigidity werc experimentally
investigated undcl. axially rcstmined and unr.est.rainrd conditions. Furthermore , the
average crack spacing was also checkcd for the axilly restrained contlit.ion.
Thc test results showd that the flexual strength and rigidity of t,he restrained beam
were higher. than those of the unrestrained beam. The major. factors affecting on the
average crack spacing were steeel stress, axial force, cicumference of reinforcing bar and
effective tension arm of concrete. However. the concrete compressive strength was minor
effect. Including thesc factors, a prediction equation for the average crack spacing of the
restrained member was proposed.

In simply supported composite beams, the neutral axis of the composite cross section usually is located the top flange of the steel I-shape, so that the top flange does not impart much strength to the member. This suggests that omitting the top flange entirely could be a means to lower the cost of the beam without greatly reducing the strength. The purpose of this investigation is to research flexural strength and behavior of the composite beams with reduced top flange of steel. Five specimens with H and inverted T steel section were tested. As the test results, comparison of the experimental to computed full-plastic moment, and variations of flexural strength with reduced top flange were analyzed.

Six small-scale reinforced concrete beam-column joint specimens subjected to monotonic and cyclic loading were tested to investigate the effects of strength of concrete. Variables are 1)compressive strength of concrete(f' c=300, 700kg/㎠), 2)shear span to depth ratio (a/d=4.7, 2.0). The major results of this test were: 1)flexural strength of high strength concrete beam-column joint was not affected too much by the compressive strength of concrete, 2) flexural cracks emerge to inside of beam deeply for high strength concrete member.

In simply supported composite beams, the neutral axis of the composite cross section is usually located near the top flange of the steel H-shape, so that the top flange does not impart much strength to the member. This suggests that omitting the top flange entirely could be a means to lower the cost of the beam without greatly reducing the strength. However, It is not easy for inverted T-shaped composite beam to construct and to apply continuous beam which has negative bending moment. As a result, it would get more workability and decrease capability of lateral buckling and local buckling, if the bottom flange of inverted T-shaped steel used as a form. Therefore. the objectives of this study are to investigate strength and behaviors of inverted T-shaped composite beam which web is encased by concrete and to grasp bending capacity and efficiency of composite by comparing and analyzing in test piece.

The nonlinearity of a cable-stayed bridge results in the large displacement of main girder due to a long span, the large axial forces reduce the catenary action of cables and the flexural stiffness. Therefore, the static and dynamic behavior of pylon for a cable-stayed bridge plays an important role in determining its safety. This study was performed to find the behavior of pylon of cable-stayed bridge for the first-order analysis considering of axial load only and for the second-order analysis considering of lateral deflection due to axial load. The axial force and moment values of pylon were different from the results of the first-order analysis and second-order analysis according to pylon shape and cross beam stiffness when the pylon was subjected to earthquake and wind loads. In the second-order analysis, comparing the numerical values of the member forces for the dynamic analysis, types 3 and 4 (A type) were relatively more advantageons types than types 1 and 2 (H type). Considering the stability for pylon of cable-stayed bridge (whole structural system), types 3 and 4 (A type) with pre-buckling of girder were proper types than types 1 and 2 (H type) with buckling of pylon.
The Self Compacting Concrete, SCC is the new generation type of concrete which is not needed to be compacted by vibrator and it will be compacted by its own weight. Since SCC is a new innovation and also the high strength self compacting concrete, HSSCC behavior is like a brittle material, therefore, understanding the strength effect on the serviceability performance of reinforced self compacting concretes is critical. For this aim, first the normal and high strength self compacting concrete, NSSCC and HSSCC was designed. Then, the serviceability performance of reinforced connections consisting of NSSCC and HSSCC were investigated. Twelve reinforced concrete connections (L = 3 m, b = 0.15 m, h = 0.3 m) were simulated, by this concretes, the maximum and minimum reinforcement ratios ${\rho}$ and ${\rho}^{\prime}$ (percentage of tensile and compressive steel reinforcement) are in accordance with the provision of the ACI-05 for conventional RC structures. This study was limited to the case of bending without axial load, utilizing simple connections loaded at mid span through a stub (b = 0.15 m, h = 0.3 m, L = 0.3 m) to simulate a beam-column connection. During the test, concrete and steel strains, deflections and crack widths were measured at different locations along each member. Based on the experimental readings and observations, the cracked moment of inertia ($I_{cr}$) of members was determined and the results were compared with some selective theoretical methods. Also, the flexural crack widths of the members were measured and the applicability for conventional vibrated concrete, as for ACI, BS and CSA code, was verified for SCCs members tested. A comparison between two Codes (ACI and CSA) for the theoretical values cracking moment is indicate that, irrespective of the concrete strength, for the specimens reported, the prediction values of two codes are almost equale. The experimental cracked moment of inertia $(I_{cr})_{\exp}$ is lower than its theoretical $(I_{cr})_{th}$ values, and therefore theoretically it is overestimated. Also, a general conclusion is that, by increasing the percentage of ${\rho}$, the value of $I_{cr}$ is increased.
In long span steel structure, the plate girder reinforced with stiffeners are commonly used. When choosing the cross section with deep depth of girder as well as narrow width, however, out of plane buckling can be a problem due to web slenderness. In an effort to solve this issue, current study determined the applicability of using corrugated web girder with deep depth as bending member, which is generally being utilized in both factory and warehouse nationwide. To accomplish this, we performed the loading test of H-shaped beam with sinusoidal corrugated web. Corrugated web CP-2.3 specimen exhibited 12% less maximal bending strength but CP-3.2 specimen exerted 24% increase in strength compared to plate web P-4.5. this result indicates that corrugated web provides enough strength even with unfavorable width-thickness ratio of plate. And bending as well as shear strength estimated by the Eurocode (EN 1993-1-5) were compared with both bending strength by loading test and shear strength estimated by KBC2009. In case of eurocode, increase in plate thickness did not help in bending performance improvement. moreover, shear performance was sensitive to the thickness of the web folds and the shape of the web plate.

Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) sheets have been widely used to retrofit and rehabilitate RC structures, while in case of retrofitting steel structures, there are no codes and researches. It stems from configuration of member and characteristics of bonding behavior. This study focused on the static behavior of steel beams reinforcement by AFRP sheets. The main objective of the experimental programme was the evaluation of the force transfer mechanism, the increment of the beam load carrying capacity and the bending stiffness. A bending test was conducted on a H-shaped steel beam, with aramid FRP sheets bonded to its flanges. The mid-span deflection and the strain from three points along AFRP sheets were recorded Test results exhibit that the increment of the load-carrying capacity with reference to a mid-span deflection level of 15 mm(1/125mm of the clear span) was equal to 9.4% and for the two layers case, an elastic stiffness increment is slightly higher than one layer case.
