경북 일부지역 영유아보육시설 급식의 나트륨 함량 실태조사 (Study on Sodium Contents of Kindergarten Lunch Meals in Gyeoungsangbuk-do Area)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the salt and sodium content of lunch meals served at foodservice center for children in Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Methods: Five foodservice centers for children registered at Center for Children's Foodservice Management were investigated for salt and sodium content and salt content contributing rate per meal. Results: Average salt content of every meal was $1.78{\pm}0.54g$, and average sodium content was $680.99{\pm}175.97mg$. The 98 of 100 meals served in 5 foodservice centers for children exceeded the dietary reference intakes for Koreans' recommendation for adequate intake of sodium per meal of 333 mg. The highest sodium content was 1,369.85 mg. Samples from lunch meals were classified into 14 food items and investigated for one serving size, salinity, salt and sodium content. Total average salinity was 0.31%, kimchi (0.49%), followed by soup (0.45%), hard-boiled foods (0.39%), stir-fried foods (0.39%), and fresh-vegetables (0.32%). Total average salt content was 0.39 g, the most salty dishes were one-dish rice noodles, followed by soup (0.65 g), hard-boiled foods (0.49 g), stir-fried foods (0.48 g), and broth stew (0.43 g). Samples from lunch meals were classified into 6 menu groups, including cooked rice, one-dish rice noodles, soup stew, main dish, side dish, and kimchi. Contributing rate for total average salt content was high in one-dish rice noodles (48.97%), soup stew (38.47%), main dish (27.28%), side dish (21.02%), kimchi (18.56%), and cooked rice (3.95%). Conclusion: These results can be useful for reducing total dietary sodium content to less than 333 mg in children who are provided lunch meals at foodservice centers. To achieve this goal, development of low-sodium recipes, and nutrition education for foodservice employees is required.

경산 임당 유적 출토 칠기유물의 칠기법 연구 (Study on Applying Techniques of Wooden Lacquerware Artifacts Excavated from Imdang-dong Site, Gyeongsan, Korea)

  • 경산 임당 유적에서 출토된 61점의 칠기유물에 대해 현미경관찰 및 FT-IR, SEM-EDX를 이용하여 당시 옻칠기법을 확인하고자 하였다. 칠기유물의 하지에는 메움제로서 토분, 그을음, 목탄 등이 이용되었으며, 붉은 칠에는 산화철(석간주)이 사용되었다. 하지층은 구성방법에 따라 5가지 방법으로 구분되었으며, 중간층과 상층은 구성방법에 따라 8가지 방법으로 구분되어, 총 17가지의 칠기법이 확인되었다. 다른 유적의 칠기법과 비교한 결과, 하지층은 동시대의 다른 유적의 칠기법과 동일한 방법이었으나, 경상 지역에서 산화철이 붉은색 안료로 주로 사용된 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

Further Investigation of the Action Mechanism of GS 389: a Thromboxane $A_2$ Antagonistic Action

  • Recently, we reported that GS 389 has vasodilating action without cardiac inotropic action (Chang et al., Can. J. Physiol. Pharmacol. 72, 327-334, 1994). However the mechanism of action of GS 389 has not been thoroughly evaluated. In the present study, we performed functional study of GS 389 in rat trachealis, thoracic aorta, pig coronary artery by isometric tension and in human platelets by aggregation experiments. We also tested if GS 389 influences on $Ca^{2+}$movement and inositol phosphate metabolism. In rat trachealis, GS 389 concentration-dependently relaxed carbachol (0.1 $\mu$M)- and high $K^{+}$(65.4 mM)-induced contraction with p$IC_{50}$/ of 4.43$\pm$ 0.19 and 4.11$\pm$0.12, respectively. In $Ca^{2+}$-free media, GS 389 inhibited carbachol-induced phasic contraction. In rat thoracic aorta, GS 389 inhibited $^{45}$ Ca uptake due to norepinephrine and high $K^{+}$, indicating that GS 389 has direct inhibitory action of $Ca^{2+}$movement. Furthermore, GS 389 competitively inhibited U46619-induced contraction in rat thoracic aorta and pig coronary artery with K, values of 5.23$\pm$0.12 and 5.56$\pm$0.14, respectively, and inhibited U 46619-induced phosphatidylinositide (PI) turnover in rat aorta. GS 389 also concentration-dependently inhibited the human platelet aggregation against U 46619 with p$IC_{50}$/ 5.66$\pm$0.02. These results indicate that GS 389 has thromboxane $A_2$ antagonistic action in vascular and platelets as well as direct action on $Ca^{2+}$ movement, which may account, at least in part, for relaxing action of rat trachealis. trachealis.

대학학생식당의 공간분석과 이용자만족에 관한 연구 - D대학 학생식당의 만족도를 중심으로 - (A Study on Spatial Analysis and User's Satisfaction in Cafeterias at a University - Focused on Satisfaction in Cafeterias at D University -)

  • The study analyzed behaviors of users in cafeterias and spatial environmental images as well to understand what factors would affect the users' satisfaction in the cafeterias. The study also looked into how interior space factors would influence the users, what the users actually want from the cafeterias when they use them and lastly, what kinds of behaviors the users would do while in the cafeteria. Through those researches, the study proposed solutions to improve the users' satisfaction in cafeterias. As a field survey research, the study observed actual conditions of cafeterias at a university as conducting spatial environmental analysis to present ways to improve students' satisfaction in cafeterias at their university. In order to achieve the research goal, the study carried out a literature analysis and a survey and visited the cafeterias to understand both actual conditions and environments of cafeterias at a university. The study also had in-depth interviews with the students. The subject of the study was those college students who have been using four cafeterias at three campuses of D university. Data was collected via surveys, observations and interviews. With the students as the research subject, the study investigated and analyzed current status of the students' using of the cafeterias, actual utilization, spatial factors and satisfaction factors. The study was mainly developed with a survey conducted and by distributing basically 200 copies of the survey each to the campuses, the study gave out 200 copies each to Suseong Campus in Daegu and Oseong Campus in Gyeongsan but 400 copies at a time to Samsung Campus in Gyeongsan because it was the main campus and had two cafeterias. To sum up, each department was instructed to answer 20~40 copies of the survey in the end. Out of 800 copies in total, 188 copies from Oseong Campus, 153 copies from Suseong Campus and 386 copies from Samsung Campus which would add up to 727 were observed to be faithful enough to be used as statistics for the study.

금호분지 내 지리관광자원의 자연지리학적 배경 (Physical Geographical Background of Geotourism Resources in Gumho River Basin)

  • 본 논문에서는 금호분지를 6개의 지형단위(보현산지, 팔공산지, 비슬산지, 영천분지, 경산분지, 대구분지)로 구획한 후, 각 지형단위 내에 분포하는 지리관광자원의 자연지리학적 배경과 분포의 특성을 고찰하였다. 금호분지 내의 지리관광자원은 지형환경(32개, 78%)을 많이 반영하며, 다음으로 지질환경(7개, 17%)을 반영한다. 보현산지 내에는 3개의 지형자원이 분포하며, 팔공산지 내에는 8개의 지형자원이 분포한다. 비슬산지 내에는 5개의 지형자원과 1개의 문화자원이 분포한다. 그리고 영천분지 내에는 2개의 지형자원과 1개의 지질자원, 1개의 생물자원, 그리고 2개의 문화자원이 분포하는데, 생물자원 1개와 문화자원 1개는 지형환경을 반영한다. 정산분지 내에는 1개의 지형자원과 1개의 생물자원, 3개의 지질자원이 분포하며, 생물자원 1개는 지형환경을 반영한다. 대구분지 내에는 8개의 지형자원과 2개의 지질자원, 3개의 생물자원이 분포하는데, 생물자원 2개는 지형환경의 영향을 많이 받는다.

연속 발진 다이오드 레이저로 여기된 수동형 Q-스위치 Nd:YVO4 레이저의 출력 펄스 안정화 (Stabilization of Output Pulses from a Passively Q-switched Nd:YVO4 Laser Pumped by a Continuous-wave Laser Diode)

  • Cr:YAG 결정을 포화흡수체로 사용하여 수동형 Q-스위치시킨 다이오드 레이저 여기 Nd:$YVO_4$ 레이저를 제작하였다. Cr:YAG 결정의 한 면에 여기 빛 파장(808 nm)에 대해 고반사 코팅을 한 후, Nd:$YVO_4$ 결정과 접촉시켜 공진기를 구성하였다. Cr:YAG의 한 면에 여기 다이오드 레이저를 반사시키는 코팅을 입혀 공진기의 광변환 효율을 높임과 동시에, 여기빔에 의한 포화흡수체의 표백현상을 방지하여 안정된 출력이 나오게 하였다. 레이저 이득 매질 및 포화흡수체의 온도는 열전 냉각기와 냉각수를 사용하여 안정화 시켰다. 온도안정화를 시킨 상태에서 발진되는 펄스의 첨두 출력 요동(peak to peak)은 4%였다. 다이오드 레이저의 출력이 1 W일 때, 출력 펄스의 반복률은 평균 9 KHz 였으며, 최소 펄스폭은 7.11 ns, 최고 출력은 16.27 mW였다.

경산시 지하수의 수질특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Groundwaters in Gyeongsan City)

  • This study was performed to provide the basic information on characteristics of groundwater pollution in Gyeongsan city. Forty two groundwater samples were collected, and pH, DO, COD, $NH_3-N,\;NO_3^--N$, T-N, $PO_4^{3-}-P$, Cl, Ca, Mg, hardness, evaporate residues and others were investigated. And, ANOVA analyses were carried out to reveal the differences in water pollution indicator values of by industry, commerce/residence and agriculture areas. The results were as follows. 1. The mean values of pH, DO, COD, $NH_3-N,\;NO_3^--N$, T-N, $PO_4^{3-}-P$, Cl, evaporate residues, Ca and hardness were 6.9, $7.9mg/\ell,\;0.4mg/\ell,\;2.44mg/\ell,\;2.73mg/\ell,\;6.06mg/\ell,\;0.82mg/\ell,\;32.72mg/\ell,\;381.67mg/\ell,\;41.53mg/\ell,\;177.17mg/\ell$, respectively. 2. As groundwater became deeper, the values of Cl, Ca, Mg, Na, hardness and evaporate residues remarkably increased, but those of COD, $NH_3^--N,\;NO_3^--N,\;NO_2^-N$, T-N decreased. 3. The values of COD, Cl, Ca, Mg, Na, hardness and evaporate residues were very high in industrial area, and those of $NH_3-N,\;NO_2^--N$, T-N were very high in commercial/residential area, and those of $NO_3^--N$ were a little high in agricultural area. 4. The correlations between depth and each value of Mg, Na, Fe, hardness and evaporate residues were highly positive, and those between DO and each value of Mg, Cu, Fe, hardness and evaporate residues were highly negative. 5. According to ANOVA analyses, the differences in three area groups (industry, commerce/residence and agriculture) on the values of $NH_3-N$, T-N, evaporate residues, hardness, Ca, Mg, K and Fe were significant at 1% level.
