수직면 직선추종유도법칙 설계 (A Vertical Line Following Guidance Law Design)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel guidance law for controlling an UAV(Unmanned Air-Vehicle) to follow a reference line in vertical plane. A kinematics model representing the relative motion of the UAV to the reference line is derived. And then LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) theory is applied to the model to derive the VLFG(Vertical Line Following Guidance) law. The resultant guidance law forms a gain-scheduling controller scheduled by a simple parameter $\sigma$ which is a function of the UAV's velocity, axial acceleration, gravity, and the slope of the reference line. Also derived is a stability condition for the $\sigma$ variation based on Lyapunov theory. Simulation results show that the proposed guidance law can be applied effectively to UAV guidance algorithm design.

논 잡초 방제용 자율주행 로봇을 위한 벼의 형태학적 특징 기반의 주행기준선 추출 (Guidance Line Extraction for Autonomous Weeding robot based-on Rice Morphology Characteristic in Wet Paddy)

  • In this paper, we proposed a new algorithm of the guidance line extraction for autonomous weeding robot based on infrared vision sensor in wet paddy. It is the critical process for guidance line extraction which finds the central point or area of rice row. In order to improve accuracy of the guidance line, we are trying to use the morphological characteristics of rice that the direction of rice leaves have convergence to central area of rice row. Using Hough transform, we were represented the curved leaves as a combination of segmented straight lines on binary image that has been skeletonized and segmented object. A slope of the guidance line was gotten as calculate the average slope of all segmented lines. An initial point of the guidance line was determined that is the maximum pixel value of the accumulated white columns of a binary image which is rotated the slope of guidance line in the opposite direction. We also have verified an accuracy of the proposed algorithm by experiments in the real wet paddy.

  • The problem being considered here is the determination of optimal guidance laws for a launch vehicle for scientific missions. The optimal guidance commands are determined in the sense that the least amount of fuel is used. A numerical solution was obtained for the case where the position and velocity state variables satisfy a specified constraint at the time of thrust cutoff. The method used here is based on the Pontryagin's maximum principle. This is the method of solving a problem in the calculus of variations. In particular, it applies to the problem considered here where the magnitude of the control is bounded. Simulations for the optimal guidance algorithm, during the 2nd and the 3rd-stage flight of the Japanese rocket M-3H-3, are carried out. The results show that the guided trajectory that satisfying the terminal constraints is optimal, and the guidance algorithm works well in the presence of some errors during the 1st-stage pre-programmed guidance phase.

  • In this paper, we studied the path determination algorithm of the guidance robot for the visually impaired. Using the guidance robot for the visually impaired, the visually impaired can go to the destination where they want without other's heir. The navigation path of the guidance robot for the visually impaired must be the optimal path not only the shortest but also the most safe, which is different from a shortest path for common people. GPS and electronic map are used for the location information of the visually impaired. We corrected the error by converting the coordinates of location information from GPS, which includes maximum several tens of meters error, to the coordinates of electronic map. Information such as simple path and direction to the destination is not enough because it may be different between a going path from the start to the destination and a coming path from the destination to the start as around environment. So, we added information which can be dangerous for the visually impaired such as driveway, sidewalk without braille blocks, crosswalk, stairs and overpass, each has weight value as dangerous degree, when matching the GPS information to the electronic map, enough large as 1:5,000 scale.

Lunar ascent and orbit injection via locally-flat near-optimal guidance and nonlinear reduced-attitude control

  • This work deals with an explicit guidance and control architecture for autonomous lunar ascent and orbit injection, i.e., the locally-flat near-optimal guidance, accompanied by nonlinear reduced-attitude control. This is a new explicit guidance scheme, based on the local projection of the position and velocity variables, in conjunction with the real-time solution of the associated minimum-time problem. A recently-introduced quaternion-based reduced-attitude control algorithm, which enjoys quasi-global stability properties, is employed to drive the longitudinal axis of the ascent vehicle toward the desired direction. Actuation, based on thrust vectoring, is modeled as well. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations prove the effectiveness of the guidance, control, and actuation architecture proposed in this study for precise lunar orbit insertion, in the presence of nonnominal flight conditions.

  • The objective of this paper is to design the dynamic route guidance system(DRGS) and develop a genetic algorithm(GA) for finding the multiple shortest paths in real traffic network. The proposed GA finds a collection of paths between source and destination considering turn-restrictions, U-turn, and P-turn that are genetically evolved until an acceptable solution is reached. This paper also shows the procedure to find the multiple shortest paths in traffic network of Seoul.

  • Implicit guidance algorithm can deal with the trajectory error rapidly, but it has to save much data. If, however, the control variable is represented by a specific function form, a few parameters will suffice to define the control variable. In this paper, we study the method of updating the parameters of the control function for the reduction of trajectory errors. The method proposed here does not require much memory for guidance.

혼잡관리 모형을 이용한 도시철도 이용객 동선유도시스템 기본설계 (Preliminary Design of a Urban Transit Passenger Guidance System Using Congestion Management Model)

  • 도시철도 차량 및 역사 내 혼잡도가 최고 220%를 나타내고 있다. 특히 방향별 동선의 충돌로 인해 보행자의 이동저항이 급속히 증가해 통행시간 증가, 안전사고 발생 등 도시철도 역사의 이용효율을 저해하는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 본 논문에서 도시철도 이용객의 역사 내 이동속도 및 쾌적성 향상을 위한 혼잡관리 모형을 이용한 도시철도 이용객 동선유도시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 반복혼잡/비반복혼잡을 고려할 수 있는 혼잡관리 모형을 구성하셨고, 미들웨어시스템, 제어시스템, 동선유도구동시스템으로 구성된 동선유도시스템의 기본설계를 수행하였다. 동선유도시스템은 외부데이터를 알고리즘에서 사용가능한 형태로 변경하는 미들웨어시스템 단계와 실시간 데이터 및 과거 데이터를 통해 혼잡관리 알고리즘을 수행하는 단계와, 산정된 혼잡관리 알고리즘을 기반으로 LED표시장치, 방향유도 표시기, 이동식 가이드레일 등을 제어하는 제어시스템의 단계와 제어시스템의 정보를 기반으로 LED표시장치, 방향유도 표시기, 이동식 가이드레일 등의 장치를 실제로 구동하는 동선유도 구동장치 단계와 이용자가 실제로 접하는 LED표시장치, 방향유도 표시기, 이동식 가이드레일 등의 동선유도장치로 이루어진다. 향후 본 기본설계를 기반으로 시스템의 상세설계를 통해 도시철도 역사의 구조 및 지점에 따른 다양한 동선유도장치의 시작품을 제작하고 이를 제어할 수 있는 동선유도제어 모듈을 개발할 예정이다.

Nonlinear Model Predictive Control for Multiple UAVs Formation Using Passive Sensing

  • In this paper, nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) is addressed to develop formation guidance for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles. An NMPC algorithm predicts the behavior of a system over a receding time horizon, and the NMPC generates the optimal control commands for the horizon. The first input command is, then, applied to the system and this procedure repeats at each time step. The input constraint and state constraint for formation flight and inter-collision avoidance are considered in the proposed NMPC framework. The performance of NMPC for formation guidance critically degrades when there exists a communication failure. In order to address this problem, the modified optimal guidance law using only line-of-sight, relative distance, and own motion information is presented. If this information can be measured or estimated, the proposed formation guidance is sustainable with the communication failure. The performance of this approach is validated by numerical simulations.

  • In this paper, the launch trajectory of the Japan scientific satellite M-3H-3 from launch to orbit injection is investigated. For the terminal conditions at a guidance target point, a guidance and control system is used. An open-loop and a closed-loop guidance schemes are used simultaneously. For the closed-loop guidance scheme, the velocity polynomial algorithm represented by the velocity difference between the target point and present velocity is used. A PD control system is used for activating gimbal type engines. The simulation result shows that all the terminal position and velocity conditions are satisfied and the trajectory for the M-3H-3 scientific satellite is reasonable.
