The physiological characteristics, growth, and yield of each regional rice variety ('Odaebyeo', 'Saechucheong', 'Ilmibyeo') were investigated depending on the impact of changes in temperature and CO2 concentration. Experiments were conducted with a control group, which reflected atmospheric CO2 concentration and temperature, and treatment groups, in which the CO2 concentration and temperature were increased by 250 ppm and 2.0℃ from those in the control group. The results showed that the increase in CO2 concentration and temperature reduced the growth and yield of the rice 'Odaebyeo', but did not substantially change the productivity of the 'Saechucheong' and 'Ilmibyeo'. The increase in CO2 concentration and temperature increased stomatal conductance and rate of transpiration of the 'Odaebyeo' variety, thereby decreasing its water use efficiency (WUE). In contrast, the increase in CO2 concentration and temperature increased the photosynthetic rate and WUE of the 'Saechucheong' and 'Ilmibyeo' varieties. The gradual change in climate is considered to directly affect growth and development of rice and diversely affect the productivity of each variety. Therefore, it is necessary to implement technological development, select regionally optimal rice varieties, develop new rice varieties, as well as conduct long-term monitoring of each rice variety for climate adaptation to counter global warming.

The hydrothermal growth of $GaPO_{4}$ Single Crystals was carried out by the horizontal temperature gradient method. The most promising solvents for the crystal growth of $GaPO_{4}$ are $H_{3}PO_{4}$ and HCl solutions. Single crystals have been hydothermally grown at temperatures over the range $210-290^{\circ}C$ in these solutions with seed crystals. The glowth rates in HCl solution were higher than that for comparable conditions in $H_{3}PO_{4}$ solution. Morphologies of crystals grown at temperatures below $200^{\circ}C$ tended to be bounded by small major rhombohedral(10$\bar{1}$1) faces. In the temperature range from 200 to $430^{\circ}C$, the single crystals have morphologies bounded by prism (10$\bar{1}$0), small major rhombohedral(10$\bar{1}$1) and minor rhombohedral(01$\bar{1}$1) faces at the early stage, and grew with well developed basal(0001) faces by increasing the growth temperature.

MnSb layers were grown on GaAs(100), (111)A and (111)B substrates by hot wall epitaxy under various growth conditions. Growth condition dependence of structural properties of the layers was examined. The growth direction and structural properties of MnSb/GaAs(100) depend on Sb source and substrate temperatures. The smooth MnSb(10.1)/GaAs(100) interface was obtained under the appropriate growth condition. On the other hand, MnSb(00.1) layers were grown on GaAs(111) substrates. The quality of the layers on (111)B was superior to that on GaAs(111)A, but degraded as in increasing Sb source temperature during the growth. The $Mn_2Sb$ domain was generated in the layers grown under conditions of low Sb source temperature and high substrate temperature on GaAs(111) substrates.
Bubble growth on microheater has been experimentally investigated in this study. The experiment was performed using platinum micro heaters having dimensions of $100{\times}10{\times}0.2{\mu}m^3$ with constant heat flux. A high speed video camera was used to observe bubble growth at 250 frames per second. Microheater temperature was measured at the rate of 300Hz with a data acquisition system. When heater temperature was $139^{\circ}C$ a bubble was nucleated in the liquid FC-72. The temperature profiles and the high speed camera images were combined to explain heat transfer and bubble growth on microheater.

In this work, aiming at improvement of growth processes for the bulk GaAs single crystals, efforts have been made first in investigate thermodynamic properties of the Ga and As system and second to suggest that bulk GaAs crystals could be grown in principle with the single temperature zone only by determining the excess arsenic charge as a function of growth conditions. During crystal growth, this will be evaporized inside the growth chamber to induce the required inner pressure, instead of aesenic vapor pressure in the double temperature zone method, so as to be in equilibrium with the method, growth experiments have been prepared and carried out for dopes and undoped GaAs crystals with the newly built Bridgman system which was designed according to this principle. To compare the results to those of the double temperature zone method, the same numbers of GaAs crystals have been grown with both processes and all of them were characterized in single crystallinity, lattice defects and electrical properties. Especially, the relationship between growth conditions and crystal quality was discussed from the viewpoint of growth peculiarities with this method.
Observations on the seedling growth of red pepper responding to different temperature(10, 20, 3$0^{\circ}C$) and light intensity(5, 15, 25 klux) were made in the growth Chamber during 7 weeks. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Best results of the combinations of temperature and light intensity were obtained from the combinated treatment of 3$0^{\circ}C$ and 25klux. At all of the temperature levels in this experiment, the more the light intensity is high, the more the growth is favor, but at low temperature below 2$0^{\circ}C$ and low light intensity below 15 klux, the growth of red pepper seedlings was decreased markedly. 2. Multiple regression polynomial equations of the characteristics of red pepper seedlings grown in the different combinations of temperature and light intensity fitted well in the plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem dry weight and shoot dry weight. 3. Multiple regression polynomial equation to the shoot dry weight was partial differentiated and diagrammatized the response surface using its theoretical value. Light intensity affected more to the shoot dry weight in the temperature below 2$0^{\circ}C$ but above 2$0^{\circ}C$ the role of the temperature showed greatly influence however, interaction effects of light intensity and temperature showed strongly.
The optimum growth temperature of sea cucumber is $18^{\circ}C$, above $20^{\circ}C$, the appetite declines and the digestive tract is atrophied. At $25^{\circ}C$ or more, it is known that the digestive tract is degenerated as growth is stopped by minimizing metabolic activity. Because of these physiological and ecological characteristics, the growth period of sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is relatively short in the natural environment of Korea where four seasons are clear. Therefore, maintenance of water temperature in sea cucumber culture is very important. This experiment was conducted to investigate the growth and lipid compositions of sea cucumbers at high temperature. Results showed that the growth and survival rates of sea cucumber were not significantly different until $26^{\circ}C$ (P>0.01). The fatty acid compositions of total lipid of sea cucumber tended to increase with saturated fatty acid content and decrease with n-3 fatty acid content at higher water temperature.
Environmental factors play an important role in crop growth and development. In recent years, climate change has become a challenge that limits environmental factors. Light is an important environmental factor for photosynthesis in rice. In addition, temperature is one of the most important factors for rice production; thus, a 1℃ increase in temperature because of climate change can affect rice growth and development. Therefore, we investigated the effect of shading on the growth characteristics of rice under different temperature conditions from the vegetative stage to the flowering stage. Plants were grown at three different temperatures: 26℃/16℃ for 21℃, 29℃/19℃ for 24℃, and 22℃/32℃ for 27℃ in a phytotron. A 55% shade treatment was applied after 10 days of transplanting until the flowering stage. Plant height was not affected by the shading treatment. In the maximum tiller number response to shading, a lower tiller number and growth speed of tiller was found in the 27℃ condition. Among leaf characteristics, shading increased the flag leaf area, length, width, and effective leaf area; however, it decreased the leaf number on the main stem, especially at 27℃. In terms of stem characteristics, shading affected culm wall thickness in both varieties. Finally, regarding the panicle characteristics, lower panicle numbers, spikelet numbers per panicle, primary numbers, and secondary numbers per panicle were found under the shading treatment. Most of the desirable characteristics were affected by the shading treatment at 27℃. Overall, these results indicated that shading had a greater effect on rice plant growth at high temperature.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of temperature control by a shade tree and the lawn area. In this investigation, we find out that artificial-lawn, concerte, and exposed soil are more higher temperature than covered with plant materials. The results of the measurement may to summerized as follows; 1) Low-temperature effects of zoysia japonica is more controlled by condition of growth than leaf length of grass. Surface temperature make 0.7$^{\circ}C$ difference between long grass (15cm), and short grass (5cm), but make 5$^{\circ}C$ difference between good growth grass (230/10$\textrm{cm}^2$) and bad growth grass (80/10$\textrm{cm}^2$). 2) The surface temperature of the lawn area is 40.5$^{\circ}C$ lower on a maxinum than that of the artificial lawn (July 28, 1985). During the day of summer, shade area under the shade tree is 0.9$^{\circ}C$ lower then lawn area surface temperature, 6.9$^{\circ}C$ lower than bad growth lawn, 10.3$^{\circ}C$ lower than exposed soil, and 18$^{\circ}C$ lower than concrete surface temperature. 3) Natural irrigation effect on the surface temperature fluctuation. But this effect is changed by compositions of ground materials and time-lapse. 4) Sunny day is more effective than cloud day. 5) In summer season, surface temperature make a difference compare to temperature of 0.5-1.5m height from ground : Surface temperature is 3.4$^{\circ}C$ lower at the lawn area (11 a.m.), 4.2$^{\circ}C$ lower at the shade area the shade tree, 12.7$^{\circ}C$ higher at the concrete area (3p.m.), 38.8$^{\circ}C$ higher at the artificial lawn (2p.m.) 6) According to compositions of ground materials and season have specific vertical temperature distribution curve. 7) In summer season, temperature distribution of 0.5-1.5m hight at the shade tree is 4.8-5.7$^{\circ}C$ lower than concrete area (noon-3p.m.)
We report on the room-temperature-growth of highly uniform and ultrathin Ag films on Sb-terminated Si(111) surfaces, as evidenced from a scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) study in an UHV system. With predeposition of one monolayer (ML) of Sb, uniform growth of Ag islands was observed at room temperature. The Sb layer suppresses the surface diffusion of Ag atoms on Si surface and increases the Ag island density, and then the increased island density is believed to cause coalescence of Ag islands before the beginning of multilayer growth in higher coverages, resulting in the growth of atomically flat and uniform islands on the Sb surfactant layer.
