출산율 및 여성고용 제고 정책이 성장잠재력에 미치는 영향 (An Empirical Study on the Effects of Fertility Rate and Female Labor Supply on Economic Potential)

  • 본 논문은 최근 출산율 저하와 인구고령화로 인한 성장잠재력의 저하에 대한 우려가 높아지고 있는 상황에서 성장잠재력을 제고하는 정책의 성공 여부는 인적자본의 양적.질적 제고를 통한 생산성 향상에 달려 있음으로 파악하고, 인구구조의 변화, 노동시장 조건의 변화 및 노동생산성의 변화 등이 잠재성장률에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 성장회계 접근방식을 이용하여 1인당 GDP 증가율을 인구구조의 변화에 따른 부양비의 변화와 노동투입 요소의 양적.질적 부분의 변화로 분해하였다. 우선, 노동투입의 양적인 변화는 고용률과 근로시간의 변화에 기초하여 시산하였으며, 노동투입의 질적인 변화는 인적자본에 대한 투자가 노동생산성에 미치는 영향을 감안하였다. 또한 출산율과 여성고용을 제고하는 정책효과를 분석하기 위해 출산율과 여성의 고용률을 주요 정책변수로 한 정책시뮬레이션을 하였다. 1인당 GDP 증가율의 베이스라인 전망결과는 2010년까지 연평균 4%대 중반의 성장률을 보이다가, 2020년대에는 3.94%, 2030년대에는 3.03%, 2040년대에는 2.41%로 서서히 감소할 것으로 나타났다. 또한 출산율 제고에 따른 성장률 효과는 2030년을 지나서 반영이 되며, 고출산율 시나리오 (2030년 이후 합계출산율이 1.57명으로 유지)의 경우 베이스라인보다 2030년대 이후 연평균 약 0.10%p 높은 1인당 GDP 성장률을 보일 것으로 전망되었다. 한편, 여성고용률이 제고되는 시나리오(2025년 이후 $25{\sim}54$세 여성의 고용률이 74.5%로 상승)의 경우 베이스라인보다 2050년까지 연평균 0.04%p 높은 1인당 GDP 성장률을 보일 것으로 전망되었다. 본 연구는 양적인 노동투입의 효과만으로는 성장잠재력에 미치는 영향이 그다지 크지 않으며, 궁극적으로 노동생산성의 향상과 같은 질적인 요소의 증대가 성장잠재력 확충에 중요한 대안이 됨을 알려 주고 있다.

Effect of Electrochemical Redox Reaction on Growth and Metabolism of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as an Environmental Factor

  • The effect of an electrochemically generated oxidation-reduction potential and electric pulse on ethanol production and growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 26603 was experimented and compared with effects of electron mediators (neutral red, benzyl viologen, and thionine), chemical oxidants (hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite), chemical reductants (sulfite and nitrite), oxygen, and hydrogen. The oxidation (anodic) and reduction (cathodic) potential and electric pulse activated ethanol production and growth, and changed the total soluble protein pattern of the test strain. Neutral red electrochemically reduced activated ethanol production and growth of the test strain, but benzyl viologen and thionine did not. Nitrite inhibited ethanol production but did not influence growth of the test strain. Hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorite, and sulfite did not influence ethanol production and growth of the test strain. Hydrogen and oxygen also did not influence the growth and ethanol production. It shows that the test strain may perceive electrochemically generated oxidation-reduction potential and electric pulse as an environmental factor.

Application of Bacterial Endophytes to Control Bacterial Leaf Blight Disease and Promote Rice Growth

  • Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) causes bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease in rice (Oryza sativa L.) and it is among the most destructive pathogen responsible for severe yield losses. Potential bacterial biocontrol agents (BCAs) with plant growth promotion (PGP) abilities can be applied to better manage the BLB disease and increase crop yield, compared to current conventional practices. Thus, this study aimed to isolate, screen, and identify potential BCAs with PGP abilities. Isolation of the BCAs was performed from internal plant tissues and rhizosphere soil of healthy and Xoo-infected rice. A total of 18 bacterial strains were successfully screened for in vitro antagonistic ability against Xoo, siderophore production and PGP potentials. Among the bacterial strains, 3 endophytes, Bacillus sp. strain USML8, Bacillus sp. strain USML9, and Bacillus sp. strain USMR1 which were isolated from diseased plants harbored the BCA traits and significantly reduced leaf blight severity of rice. Simultaneously, the endophytic BCAs also possessed plant growth promoting traits and were able to enhance rice growth. Application of the selected endophytes (BCAs-PGP) at the early growth stage of rice exhibited potential in suppressing BLB disease and promoting rice growth.

Botryosphaeria dothidea에 의한 밤나무의 병징과 병원균의 균사생장에 미치는 Water Potential의 효과 (Disease Symptom and Effect of Water Potential on Mycelial Growth of Botryosphaeria dothidea Associated with Chestnut Tree)

  • Infection rate of chestnut tree by Botryosphaeria(Dothiorella) dathidea was about $10\%$ at Gapyung area. disease symptom of chestnut did not appear in October but appeared in November, showing $50\%$ in May in ext year. B. dothidea was more pathogenic to chestnut than did Catinula sp. and Fusicoccum sp. B. dothidea uses soft rot, but Catinula sp. and Fusicoccum sp. causes dry rot. Mycelial growth of B. dothidea was optimal at $28^{\circ}C$. Mycelial growth was stimulated when water potential decreased from -2 bars to -12 bars and declined from -12 bars to -60 bars.

정체 수역 내에서 미세조류의 생리생화학적 분석에 의한 수화발생 잠재력 탐색 (Probe of Algal Growth Potential (AGP) by Physio-Biochemical Analysis of Microalgae in the Stagnant Watershed)

  • Algal growth potentials were probed by algal growth rates, maximal PSII quantum yields and ATP amount as well as dry weights of algae to evaluate the water fertility due to the algal growth in the stream (CT) and stagnant watershed (WW). Oscillatoria agardhii (CY) and Coelastrum reticulatum (CH) were cultured in nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) starvation media (CH-10 medium) and re-inoculated in CT and WW for 7 days. Cell division rates of CY were the highest (k = 7.5) in WW after N starvation, while those of CH were the hight (k = 2.97) in WW after P starvation. The growth of CY was limited by P, while that of CH was by N. Conversely, maximal PSII quantum yields of CH were generally higher than those of CY in CT and WW according to culture time. CY was much more sensibly adapted than CH according to the variations of nutrient amounts in WW. The water fertility was much higher in WW than in CT. The potential assessment tool for water fertility will be able to compensate for the limit of physio-chemical analyses and to be applied as a monitoring system to forecast red-tide.

ENHANCEMENT OF NORMAL AND NEOPLASTIC MAMMARY GROWTH BY CROSSBREEDING BETWEEN STRAINS OF FEMALE AND MALE MICE WITH HIGH MAMMARY GROWTH POTENTIALS

  • Based on our previous results that among 4 strains of mice SHN and GR/A showed the highest mammary growth potentials in females and males, respectively. Effects of crossbreeding on normal and neoplastic mammary growth were studied in $(SHN\;{\times}\;GR/A)F_1$ virgin female mice. $F_1$ mice were higher than the parental strains in the end-bud formation and the ductal growth of mammary glands at 60 days of age and at tumorous age, respectively. While there was little difference between $F_1$ and both parental strains in the onset age of the first mammary tumors, mammary tumorigenic potential was apparently higher in the former than in the latters. This would be the first report that demonstrated directly the contribution of mammary growth potential of males to that of female offspring.

  • 본 연구에서는 건설 기업을 중심으로 기업의 경영 효율성과 배당성향을 중심으로 한 효율적 포트폴리오를 선택하는 전략을 제시한다. 기업의 경영 효율성을 포트폴리오 선택에 반영하는 방안으로 DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) 기법을 사용하였고 성장가능성은 기업의 배당 성향을 판단하는 배당 스코어링 테이블을 이용하여 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 포트폴리오 선택전략의 성능 실험을 위해 KOSPI와 KOSDAQ에 상장된 56개의 건설 산업 관련 기업의 주식을 대상으로 2007~2010년의 4년 동안 매해 3그룹의 포트폴리오를 구성하였고 각각의 포트폴리오 수익률을 벤치마크 수익률과 비교 분석하여 그 성능을 입증하였다.

참다래 과실의 생장에 따른 과실조직의 일중 수분상태 변화 (Diurnal Change in Water Statue of Fruit Tissues During the Growth of Kiwifruit(Actinidia deliciosa))

  • 참다래 과실의 생장은 2중 S자 곡선적으로 생장을 하지만, 그 곡선은 해에 불확실할 때가 있다. 이러한 원인을 과실조직의 수분상태에 의한 것으로 생각되어, 1995년과 1996년에 참다래 과실의 생장기간 중에 psychrometer를 사용하여 일중 과실조직의 수분상태 변화를 조사했다. 과실조직의 수분 포텐셀의 변화는 1996년의 과실생자의 제3기를 제외하고는 크지 않앗다. 1995년과 1995년 모두 과실의 수확기에 가까울수록 수분 포텐셜이 점진적으로 떨어졌다. 한편, 과실조직의 삼투 포텐셜은 수분 포텐셜과 비슷하게 변화를 했지만, 1995년 10월 14일의 동이 트기 전에 -1.5MPa로 급격히 떨어진 후, 3시간이 경과한 후 -1MPa로 회복되었고, 과실수확 적기에는 -1.7MPa까지 떨어졌다. 1996년의 과실은 1995년 과실보다 낮은 삼투 포텐셜을 나타냈다. 도관의 수분상태에 관계되는 잎의 수분 포텐셜은 1996년의 경우, 과실생장 제2깅 동이 트기 전에 불구하고 -1MPa 이하로 떨어졌다. 1995년은 과실수확 적기에만 1996년과 같이 -1MPa 이하로 떨어졌다. 1996년 과실은 과실생각 제2기에 과실의 삼투 포텐셜과 팽압의 상승이 1995년 과실보다 높았다. 이러한 요인들이 1996년 과실의 당 농도를 높게 하였다. 이들 parameter의 변화는 1996년 과실이 과실생장의 제3기에 수체가 수분 스트레스를 받았다는 사실을 암시하는 것이다. 따라서, 1995년 과실과 1996년 과실의 생장 차이는 기상변화에 따른 과실 조직의 수분상태에 의한 것으로 판단된다.

실내의 저광도하에서 토양수분이 단풍나무의 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Soil Moisture on the Growth of Acer Palmatum under Indoor Low Light Intensity)

  • This study is conducted to analyze effects of soil moisture on the growth of maple(Acer palmatum) under indoor low light intensity. Maples grew under three different light intensities such as sunny place(average 353.2W/$m^2$), half shade(average 7.7 W/$m^2$) and shade/(average 1.9W/$m^2$).Under half shady and shady condition, each 24 planters(2 maples planted in each planter) were used and divided into 3 groups treated with different watering points. Three levels of soil water potential were set for watering points, such as -200mbar, -300mbar or -500mbar. Under sunny condition, there were only group of 8 planters, as comparison. Watering was applied when soil water potentials reached -500maber. The results of plant growth experiment are as followed. 1. Under the shady condition, 32 maples died among 48 maples for 7 months. 9 maples survived, watered at soil water potential -200mbar, 5maples at -300mbar and 2maples at -500mbar. 2. Leaf water content ratios were higher under lower light intensity. For the cell wall became thinner under lower light intensity. 3. Maples in shady were easy to die due to having thin cell wall, therefore they were easy to loss the turgor pressure. 4. In case of half shady condition, the group, watered at soil water potential -200mbar, had much smaller amount of rootlet than -300mbar, because there were excessive soil water. The group, watered at soil water potential -500mbar, had smaller amount of rootlet than -300mbar and there was a remarkable difference in leaf water potential in spite of nearly same soil water potential, because leaves received the water stress under lower soil water potential. 5. When maples grew soundly, the leaf water potential was largely influenced by the soil water potential.

Change in Photosynthesis, Proline Content, and Osmotic Potential of Corn Seedling under High-Saline Condition

  • To identify salt-tolerance characteristics of corn seedling was treated in solution of 0, 50 and 100 mM NaCl of hydroponic cultivation. In photosynthesis of corn seedling, there was no large difference between 50mM and 0 mM NaCl solution, however, in 100 mM NaCl solution, the tolerance gradually decreased to $76\%,\;49\%,\;and\;31\%$ after one day, four days, and seven days, respectively, in comparison to 0 mM NaCl solution. Osmotic potential of corn in seedling period was significantly decreased with increasing saline level, however, free proline content in the plant on the ground was significantly increased with increasing saline level and with the lapse of time. In terms of correlation among major characteristics, there was a highly significant positive difference between osmotic pressure potential and photosynthesis, However, highly negative correlation was found between osmotic pressure potential and free proline content. In addition, it was expected that young seedling of corn with saline tolerance may be utilized in the transplantation in salt-accumulated land. Based on above-shown result, in terms of saline tolerance of Chalok-2 variety, growth suppression was serious with 100mM NaCl solution. However, growth was expected that seedling growth would be favorable under 50 mM NaCl solution.
