석탄회를 이용한 염류집적 토양 개선과 작물 생육 증진 (Improvement of Salt Accumulated Soil and Crop Growth using Coal Ash)

  • 본 연구는 폐자원 재활용 측면에서 농업적 유용활용(beneficial use)이 가능할 것으로 판단되는 영가철과 석탄회로 제조한 토양개량제를 투입하여 토양 염류 농도와 작물 생산량에 미치는 영향을 배양시험과 재배시험으로 평가하였다. 토양개량제는 석탄회를 구형으로 제형하고 영가철이 함유된 용액(0.1, 1.0%)을 표면에 살포하여 제조하였다. 토양개량제는 밭토양으로 충진된 와그너포트에 40 g/10a과 400 g/10a를 처리하였고, 30일 간 배양한 후 토양 EC와 염 농도를 분석하였다. 토양의 EC는 400 g/10a 실험구에서 대조구 대비 약 50% 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 국내 대표적인 염류인 유효인산의 경우 개량제의 처리 후 1/3 수준으로 감소되었다. 개량제 처리에 따른 토양 내 EC와 염 농도의 감소는 매우 유의한 수준으로 분석되었다(r=0.672~0.985). 또한 개량제 처리 후 뿌리와 줄기의 생육은 약 10% 증가였고, 건중량 또한 대조구에 비해 줄기와 뿌리에서 각각 30-50%와 60-75% 유의하게 증가하였다. 석탄회와 영가철을 농업용 토양개량제로 재활용할 경우 농업 환경 개선뿐만 아니라 농업 생산성 증대에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

수경재배용 용수 종류에 따른 상추 생장 연구 (Study on the Lettuce Growth Using Different Water Sources in a Hydroponic System)

  • BACKGROUND: Plants can be grown using a culture medium without soil using a hydroponic system. Crop production by the hydroponic system is likely to increase as a means of solving various problems in the agricultural sector such as aging of rural population and climate change. Different water sources can be used to prepare the culture medium used in the hydroponic system. Therefore, it is necessary to study the effect of different water sources on crop production by the hydroponic system in order to explore the applicability of various water resources. METHODS AND RESULTS: Lettuce was cultivated by the hydroponic system and three different water sources [tap water (TW), bottled water (BW), and groundwater (GW)] were used to compare the effect of water sources on lettuce growth. The three kinds of waters with a nutrient solution (TW-M, BW-M, GW-M) were also used as the media. After the six-week growth period, the lettuce length and weight, the number of leaves, and the contents of chlorophylls and polyphenols were compared among the different media used. The lettuces did not grow in the waters without the nutrient solution. In the media, the lettuce growth and the contents of chlorophylls were affected by the different water sources used to prepare the media, while the contents of polyphenols were not affected. The absorbed amounts of ions by lettuces, especially Ca and Zn ions, and the dry weight of the harvested lettuces showed a strong positive correlation. CONCLUSION(S): Overall, this study shows that different water sources used for growing lettuce in a hydroponic system can affect lettuce growth. Further studies on the enhancement of crop qualities using different water sources may be required in future studies.

우드펠릿 기반 바이오매스 발전소로부터 배출된 저회를 활용한 염류토양 및 작물성장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Saline Soil and Crop Growth with Bottom Ash from Biomass Power Plant Based Wood Pellet)

  • BACKGROUND: The salt in soil interrupts crop growth. Therefore, water resources are used to remove any salt found in the soil. However, water resources have been reduced by global warming; thus, a new study is required into reducing the salt in soil. Recently, the bottom ash (BA) of a biomass power plant was found to be similar to biochar. Hence, it can be used to remove heavy metals and wastewater through the adsorption characteristics of BA. The objective of this study was to evaluate the improvement effects on crop growth in saline soil containing the BA from biomass power plants. METHODS AND RESULTS: The effect on crop growth in the saline soil supplemented with BA was studied with the crop-planted pots, which were packed by reclaimed greenhouse soils collected from Byolyang, Suncheon. The BA application level was 25, 50, 100, 200, and 400 kg/10a (referred as BA25, BA50, BA100, BA200, and BA400, respectively). The BA increased the fresh weights of the leaf and root, while nitrogen uptake increased by approximately 24-102% and 54-77%, respectively for the lead and root. The phosphorous uptake increased by 38%, although only in the leaf of the lettuce. In the case of soil, BA increased water content, pH, EC, CEC, and NH4+ and the SAR of the soil decreased by 5-15%. The bottom ash increased the contents of Ca2+ and Mg2+, and fixed the amount of Na+. CONCLUSION(S): It was confirmed the bottom ash of a biomass power plant, based on wood pellets, improved crop growth, and increased the nutrient uptake of crops in saline soil. In addition, bottom ash, which has a wide range of porosity and high values of pH and EC, improved properties of the saline soil. However, the BA has a large amount of B, As, and heavy metals. Finally, it may require a study on the safety and contamination of heavy metals contained in the bottom ash, which would be applied in soil for a long time.

벼 작물생육모형 국내 도입 활용과 앞으로의 연구 방향 (History and Future Direction for the Development of Rice Growth Models in Korea)

  • 작물 생육모형은 기존의 경험적 작물모형과는 달리 벼의 생장과정을 모의 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이러한 작물생육 모형들은 80년대 후반부터 적극적으로 국내도입이 이루어 졌다. 유럽에서 개발된 MACROS로 부터 시작하여 이후 Oryza1 및 Oryza2000 모형과 북미에서 개발된 DSSAT 계열의 모형인 CERES-RICE 모형을 도입하게 되었다. 각각의 모형들은 최초에는 단순히 품종수 적합 후 특정지역에의 수량을 모의하는데 활용되었으나 2000년대에 이르러서는 국내에 적합한 작물모형으로 발전시킬 수 있는 단계에 이르게 되었다. 그러나, 작물생육모형을 기후변화 영향평가를 위한 용도로 주로 사용하였고 실용적인 수준에서의 활용은 미미하였다. 일부 농가 적용을 위한 시도가 있었으나 널리 활용되지는 못하였다. 이러한 활용상의 문제점은 기상자료의 공간해상도가 문제가 가장 크며, 그 다음으로는 각 지역별이 품종에 대한 품종모수 자료가 부족하기 때문이다. 이러한 활용상의 문제점을 극복하기 위해서는 기상관측의 공간해상력을 높이기 위한 관측소의 확대 또는 공간 내삽법이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. 또한 신품종이 일정 재배면적 이상 확대될 경우 이에 대해 품종모수를 적합할 제도적 기술적 방법이 필요하다. 작물모형의 활용 확대를 위해서는 기상 또는 토양 분야와도 연결이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 군락의 증산 속도와 토양모형에 정보가 필요하며 이는 군락 광합성 관련 부분과 토양 특성에 대해서 새로운 접근이 필요함을 의미한다.

18세기 후기 영국에서의 고중적인 어린이 의복 출현에 관한 연구-루소의 자연주의 교육사상과 관련하여- (A Study on the Active children's Clothes in the Latter Part of the 18th Century in England -In Relation with Rousseau's Naturalism)

  • This dissertation is to help understanding about the emergence of active children's clothes in the latter part of the 18th century in England. In previous ages children had not been look-ed upon as children, but as incomplete and in-ferior men and women, the costume of children had not been distinguishable from that of their elders. The early eighteenth-century chil-d could not play in comfort because they dressed like their parents. But in the third quarther of the eighteenth century children became free from their con-comfortable and became active. English chil-dren's clothes was prevailing even in Europe as well. In the background of this liberation, there were many enlightened ideas, such as philosophers of enlightenment, doctors, writers, educators. Among these John Locke and Jean Jacque Rousseau criticized openly about rampant fashion which was distorting the body by corset and hoop. Rousseau was the one who wrote$\boxDr$Emile$\boxUl$and played the most important role to free children from an old fashioned idea, and emphasized to bring up children by the natural process of mental and physical development as human beings are a part of nature. Fashion reflects politic, economic, social, ideology, culture of the days and these factor function to create fashion which shows“Time Spirit”.Children's clothes, like those of their parents, follow the fashion, but with a difference, the form of which varies with the attitude to the child. Thus this dissertation was to study in relation with the background of the times in the latter part of 18th century in England and Rousseau's Naturalism in connection with the emergence of active children's clothes. The result is that diffusion of the idea of freedom and equality, the growth of bourgeoisie, the development of clothing and tex-tile industry have influenced to the emergence of active children's clothes. Also a great deal of middle and high class parents devoted to their children's education and was influenced by Rousseau's Naturalism. Specially the bourgeoisie who made their fortune by their own effort were eager to educate their achievement and business by their children through education. This factor influenced to the children's clothes as well.

최근 제주도 도심과 배경지점에서의 CO2 농도 변화 및 복사강제력 영향 연구 (A Study on Changes in CO2 Concentrations and their Impact on Radiative Forcing at Urban Center and Background Sites on Jeju Island in Recent Years)

  • The spatial and temporal variations of $CO_2$ concentrations and radiative forcing (RF) due to $CO_2$ were examined at urban center (Yeon-dong) during 2010-2015 and background sites (Gosan) during 2010-2014 on Jeju Island. The RF at the two sites was estimated based on a simplified expression for calculating RF for the study period. Overall, annual mean $CO_2$ concentrations at the Yeon-dong and Gosan sites have gradually increased, and the concentrations were higher at Yeon-dong (401-422 ppm) than at Gosan (398-404 ppm). The maximum $CO_2$ concentrations at the two sites were observed in winter or spring, followed by fall and summer, with higher concentrations at Yeon-dong. The RF at Yeon-dong (annual mean of up to $0.70W/m^2$ in 2015) was higher than that at Gosan (up to $0.46W/m^2$ in 2014), possibly because of higher $CO_2$ concentrations at Yeon-dong resulting from population growth and human activities (e.g., fossil fuel combustion). The highest monthly mean RFs at Yeon-dong (approximately $0.92W/m^2$) and Gosan ($0.52W/m^2$) were observed in spring 2015 (Yeon-dong) and spring 2013 (Gosan), whereas the lowest RFs (0.17 and $0.31W/m^2$, respectively) in fall 2011 (Yeon-dong) and summer in 2012 (Gosan).

진패션의 미적 특성에 관한 연구 -반문화를 중심으로- (A Study on the Beauty Characteristics Expressed Jean Fashion -Focusing on Counter-culture-)

  • This study of counter-culture - the cultural background of the Jean Fashion of which express the consciousness and youthfulness of young - shows the various social, cultural developments and the direction of growth for the Jean industry Until now, the fashion trends flowed from the elite, upper-class minority to the general public : however, in the case of the Jean Fashion, it has spread inversely to the upper-class from the young people who have adopted the life-styles of the lower, middle class, working people. With the emphasis on Jean Fashion's establishment through and within a counter- culture influences, the first chapter explores the counter-culture's background theory and how fashion has metamorphisized within the counter-culture. The second chapter explores the image of the jeans within the society of the youth and the general public. Finally in the fourth chapter, this study divides the images of Jean Fashion within the youth and the general population into classifications of Feminism, Eroticism, Dismantlementation. Thus, 1 came to the conclusion that the above stated theories have had great influence on the Jean Fashion Industry. The conclusion of this study are as follows: 1 Jeans are the representative article of clothing of unisex appeal which is the core characteristic of Feminism. Feminism, which surfaced coincidentally with the emergence of jeans in the 1850s, took charge of expressing the freedoms and the wills of women. 2. Jeans, being the representative article of Eroticism, have firmly entrenched its image in the young people's wardrobe through mass media such as movies, $\mu$ic, and commercials. 3. In the 90s the tendencies of Defacement and Dismantlementation of Jeans developed. In the Dismantlement tendencies of colors, the color blue foretells of the century's coming to an end, and blue also expresses the superiority of spirit and intelligence which transcends materialism.

Growth of zinc oxide thin films by oxygen plasma-assisted pulsed laser deposition

  • Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a functional material with interesting optical and electrical properties, a wide band gap (more than 3.3 eV), a high transmittance in the visible light region, piezoelectric properties, and a high n-type conductivity. This material has been investigated for use in many applications, such as transparent electrodes, blue light-emitting diodes, and ultra-violet detector. ZnO films grown under low oxygen pressure by thin film deposition methods show low resistivity and large free electron concentration. Therefore, reducing the background carrier concentration in ZnO films is one of the major challenges ahead of realizing high-performance ZnO-based optoelectronic devices. In this study, we deposited ZnO thin films on sapphire substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) with employing an oxygen plasma source to decrease the background free-electron concentration and enhance the crystalline quality. Then, the substrate temperature was varied between 200 'C to 900 'C The vacuum chamber was initially evacuated to a pressure of $10^{-6}$ Torr, and then a pure $O_2$ gas was introduced into the chamber and the pressure during deposition was maintained at $10^{-2}$ Torr. Crystallinity and orientation of ZnO films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The film surface was analyzed with atomic force microscope (AFM). And electrical properties were measured at room temperature by Hall measurement.

  • 본 연구는 전세계적으로 증가하고 있는 조직 내 다양성에 대응할 수 있는 정보통신기술기반 다양성 관리 기능의 필요성을 제시하고 이를 가능하게 하는 전자인적자원관리의 역할에 대해 규명하고 있다. 성별, 인종, 연령과 같은 인구통계적 속성 뿐 아니라 교육적 배경, 기능적 배경, 근속년수 등 다양한 속성을 가진 인력을 채용하고 효율적으로 관리하는 것은 조직성과와 직결되는 문제라는 점에서 전략적으로도 매우 중요하다. 다양성 관리에 있어 정보통신기술을 제대로 활용하는 조직만이 비교우위를 얻을 수 있다는 점에서 정보통신기술을 활용한 다양성 관리가 조직과 관리자에게 주는 함의점에 대해 논의하였다.

  • 이탈리아의 디자인은 자유분방하고 유미주의(唯美主義)와 예술지향적 성향이 강하다고 할 수 있으며 지리조건, 민족성, 문화에 바탕을 둔 그들만의 특징을 양식화 시켰다. 2차 세계대전 이후 이탈리아 건축가들은 전후의 국가재건과 국제시장에서 경쟁력 있는 제품을 창출하려는 노력을 아끼지 않았다. 이탈리아의 가구디자인은 타고난 자원부족을 극복하고자 새로운 소재에 특유의 창조력을 바탕으로 심미적 요소를 가미하였으며 기업이 능력 있는 디자이너를 발굴하고 적극적으로 디자인을 개발하는 등, 가구산업에 특별한 노력을 기울인 결과 오늘날 유수의 가구산업국가로 발돋움할 수 있었다. 이는 모든 분야에서 문제를 인식하고 체계적인 지원을 아끼지 않은 결과라고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 이탈리아 가구디자인 발전에 영향을 미친 요인을 분석하고 이러한 요소들이 각 시대별로 이탈리아의 시대적 배경과 결합하면서 어떠한 특성으로 나타났는지 분석하고자 한다. 또한 이탈리아 디자인의 발전과정과 전략을 분석함으로써 우리 나라가 지니고 있는 지리조건, 민족성, 문화 등과 산업여건을 가구디자인 발전에 접목시킬 수 있는 체계적인 관점을 제시하고자 한다.
