Recently, the in-line vision inspection has become the subject of growing research area in the visual control systems and robotic intelligent fields that are required exact three-dimensional pose. The objective of this article is to study the pc based in line visual inspection with the hand-eye structure. This paper suggests three dimensional structured light measuring principle and design method of laser sensor header. The hand-eye laser sensor have been studied for a long time. However, it is very difficult to perform kinematical analysis between laser sensor and robot because the complicated mathematical process are needed for the real environments. In this problem, this paper will propose auto-calibration concept. The detail process of this methodology will be described. A new thinning algorithm and constrained hough transform method is also explained in this paper. Consequently, the developed in-line inspection module demonstrate the successful operation with hole, gap, width or V edge.

Dyeing wastewaters are the most problematic wastewater in textile industries and also, growing amounts of waste fibers in carpet industries have concerned environmental specialists. Among different treatment methods, membrane filtration processes as energy-efficient and compatible way, were utilized for several individual problems. In this research, novel hybrid membranes were prepared by waste fibers of mechanical carpets as useful resource of membrane matrix and industrial graphite powder as filler to eliminate Chrysophenine GX from dyeing wastewater. These membranes were expected to be utilized for first stage of hybrid membrane filtration process including (adsorption-ultrafiltration) and nanofiltration in Kashan Textile Company. For scaling of membrane filtration process, fouling mechanism of these membranes were recognized and explained by the use of genetic algorithm, as well. The graphite increased rejection and diminished permeate flux at low concentration but in high concentration, the performance was significantly worsened. Among all hybrid membranes, 18% wt. waste fibers-1% wt. graphite membrane had the best performance and minimum fouling. The maximum pore size of this optimum membrane was ranged from 16.10 to 18.72 nm.
Recently there has been a growing interest in the use of natural dyes in textile applications. Natural dyes can exhibit better biodegradability and generally have a higher compatibility with the environment. In this study, the colorants of clove were extracted with boiling water. Chitosan crosslinked cotton fabrics have been dyed with aqueous extract of clove and their dyeabilities on the fabrics were studied. Additionally the fastness to washing and light, and the effects on antimicrobial properties were also investigated. Cotton fabrics were treated with a crosslinking agent epichlorohydrin in the presence of chitosan to provide the cotton fabrics the dyeing properties of natural dye(clove) by the chemical linking of chitosan to the cellulose structure. This process was applied by means of the conventional mercerizing process. The chitosan finishing and durable press finishing of the cotton fabrics occurred simultaneously in the mercerization bath. The dyeability(K/S), which was obtained by CCM observation, remarkablely became increased when the crosslinked chitosan concentration was higher. The hue value indicated reddish yellow with increasing the crosslinked chitosan concentration. And the color fastness to washing and light was the almost the same. The chitosan treated cotton fabrics showed very high activities with almost 100% reduction.

In recent years, with the growing interest in electric vehicles, the development of a Neighborhood Electronic Vehicle (NEV) made for urban driving is accelerating. Existing NEVs are set to ~0.3 - 0.35 with more emphasis on performance rather than minimizing air resistance. In this paper, a NEV with a streamlined car body is proposed. The shape of dolphins and sharks was applied to the car body to minimize the air resistance generated when driving. Also, the performance of the vehicle was estimated by calculating the traction force and the roll couple, etc. To check the drag coefficient of the car body, finite element analysis software (COMSOL Multiphysics) was used. The frame of the vehicle is divided into the forward and the rear parts. Carbon pipe is used for the frame by MIG welding. The car body of the vehicle was fabricated by forming carbon fiber. This study confirmed the general possibility of using NEVs through driving experiments.

The transport market has continued to change to provide services for each cargo. Currently, tank containers are widely used for the transport of liquids, and the tank container transportation market is continuously growing. Accordingly, the demand for handling for tank containers is also increasing. The purpose of this study is to suggest the improvement of transportation process and management method based on the case analysis of the current tank container transportation market. Therefore, this is paper suggests that an integrated system is needed to eliminate the period of information disconnection, secure information continuity, and improve the efficiency of managing dangerous goods.

Luminescence characteristics of Ag-doped ZnO as the quantum dot materials to increasing the efficiency on dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) have been studied. Ag doped ZnO powder was produced by the self-sustaining combustion process using ultrasonic spraying heating method. Luminescence wavelength region of the ZnO by Ag doping was shifted to longer wavelength. Tn the case of the Ag doped ZnO powder, broad luminescence spectrum centered on 600nm was observed. On the other hand, we compared PL data of RTA treated ZnO:Ag film at various temperatures because the front electrode of solar cell was in need of the sintering process. In XRD and PL data for RTA treated film at the 500$^{\circ}C$ showed good property. And, it was found that the grain size wasn't growing but only optical property was changed. According to the result of XRD, PL, absorption, emission spectrum and DV-X${\alpha}$ used in theoretical calculation, it is considered to be possible to use Ag doped ZnO as quantum dot material for improving DSC efficiency.
Among components of digital topographic maps used officially in Korea, only contours have 3D values except buildings and trees that are demanded in landscape planning. This study presented a series of processes for 3Dreconstructing landscape features such as terrain, buildings and standing trees using LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data and aerial digital photo graphs. The 3D reconstructing processes contain 1) building terrain model, 2) delineating outline of landscape features, 3) extracting height values, and 4) shaping and coloring landscape features using aerial photograph and 3-D virtual data base. LiDAR data and aerial photograph was taken in November 2006 for $50km^{2}$ area in Sorak National Park located in eastern part of Korea. The average scanning density of LiDAR pulse was 1.32 points per square meter, and the aerial photograph with RGB bands has $0.35m{\times}0.35m$ spatial resolution. Using reconstructed 3D landscape features, visibility with the growing trees with time and at different viewpoints was analyzed. Visible area from viewpoint could be effectively estimated considering 3D information of landscape features. This process could be applied for landscape planning like building scale with the consideration of surrounding landscape features.
Artificial neural networks (ANN) have been successfully used for classifying remotely sensed imagery. However, ANN still is not the preferable choice for classification over the conventional classification methodology such as the maximum likelihood classifier commonly used in the industry production environment. This can be attributed to the ANN characteristic built-in stochastic process that creates difficulties in dealing with unequally represented training classes, and its training performance speed. In this paper we examined some practical aspects of training classes when using a back propagation neural network model for remotely sensed imagery. During the classification process of remotely sensed imagery, representative training patterns for each class are collected by polygons or by using a region-growing methodology over the imagery. The number of collected training patterns for each class may vary from several pixels to thousands. This unequally populated training data may cause the significant problems some neural network empirical models such as back-propagation have experienced. We investigate the effects of training over- or under- represented training patterns in classes and propose the pattern repopulation algorithm, and an adaptive alpha adjustment (AAA) algorithm to handle unequally represented classes. We also show the performance improvement when input patterns are presented in random fashion during the back-propagation training.

Surface segmentation aims to represent the terrain as a set of bounded and analytically defined surface patches. Many previous segmentation methods have been developed to extract planar patches from LIDAR data for building extraction. However, most of them were not fully satisfactory for more general applications in terms of the degree of automation and the quality of the segmentation results. This is mainly caused from the limited information derived from LIDAR data. The purpose of this study is thus to develop an automatic method to perform surface segmentation by combining not only LIDAR data but also images. A region-based method is proposed to generate a set of planar patches by grouping LIDAR points. The grouping criteria are based on both the coordinates of the points and the corresponding intensity values computed from the images. This method has been applied to urban data and the segmentation results are compared with the reference data acquired by manual segmentation. 76% of the test area is correctly segmented. Under-segmentation is rarely founded but over-segmentation still exists. If the over-segmentation is mitigated by merging adjacent patches with similar properties as a post-process, the proposed segmentation method can be effectively utilized for a reliable intermediate process toward automatic extraction of 3D model of the real world.
The ascomycete Magnaporthe grisea is a pathogen of rice blast and is known to form specialized infection structures called appressoria for successful infection into host cells. To understand the molecular mechanism underlying infection process, appressorium-related genes were identified through global approaches including EST sequencing, differential hybridization, and sup-pression subtractive hybridization. EST database was generated on >2,000 cDNA clones randomly selected from appressorium stage cDNA library. Large number of ESTs showed homology to known proteins possibly involved in infection-related cellular development (attachment, germination, appressorium formation, and colonization) of rice blast fungus. The 1051 ESTs showing significant homology to known genes were assigned to 11 functional categories. Differential hybridization and suppression subtractive hybridization were applied to identify genes showing an appressorium stage specific expression pattern. A number of genes were selected as up-regulated during appressorium formation compared with the vegetative growing stage. Clones from various cDNA libraries constructed in different developmental stages were arrayed on slide glass for further expression profiling study. functional characterization of genes identified from these global approaches may lead to a better understand-ing of the infection process of this devastating plant disease, and the development of novel ways to protect host plant.
