시비 처리에 따른 상수리나무(Quercus acutissima) 용기묘와 노지묘의 광합성 및 생장특성 (Photosynthetic Characteristics and Growth Performances of Containerized Seedling and Bare Root Seedling of Quercus acutissima Growing at Different Fertilizing Schemes)

  • 본 연구에서는 상수리나무 용기묘와 노지묘를 대상으로 시비처리에 따른 광합성 특성, 엽록소 형광반응, 엽록소 함량 및 생장 특성을 조사 분석하였다. 상수리나무 용기묘와 노지묘 모두 시비 처리별 광합성 능력 및 광화학 효율은 1,000배액 시비 처리구에서 가장 높았으며, 엽록소 함량도 1,000배액 시비 처리구에서 가장 많았다. 생장특성에서는 1,000배액 시비 처리구에서 높은 상대생장률과 물질생산량을 보였으며 엽면적도 같은 경향을 보였다. 모든 시비 처리구에서 전반적으로 용기묘가 노지묘보다 우수한 광합성 능력과 광화학 효율, 엽록소 함량 및 생장을 보였다.

  • Reciprocal crosses were conducted between three strains of Taiwan Country chickens, developed in the National Chung-Hsing University, and two strains of Single Comb White Leghorns, developed in the Taiwan Livestock Research Institute. Traits studied were growing performances, laying performances, egg quality traits and traits concerning disease resistance, including resistance to Marek's disease virus and immune responses to Newcastle disease virus vaccine and to sheep red blood cell. Results indicated that laying performances of Taiwan country chickens were much inferior to White Leghorns, but they matured earlier, their eggs had better shell strength and larger proportion of yolk, and their general disease resistance was much better than White Leghorns. Heterosis were found in laying performances and egg quality traits. The heterosis in laying traits was so large that the hybrid laid as many eggs and as large eggs as did pure strains of White Leghorns. Strategies on the improvement of native chickens and the utilization of genetic merits of native chickens were also discussed.

環境條件이 育成豚의 增體와 行動에 미치는 影響 (Effects of Environmental Factors on Performances and Behavioural Patterns of Growing Pigs)

  • 두당돈방면적과 돈군의 크기 등 비기후적 환경요인이 육성돈의 생산과 각종 행동유형에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 체중 30kg부터 60kg까지의 육성돈을 18돈방에 총 270두를 공시하여 시험하였다. 두당돈방면적을 0.33$m^2$, 0.44$m^2$ 및 0.66$m^2$로 설정하였고 돈군의 크기는 12두, 15두 및 18두로 하였다. 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료요구율 및 휴식, 채식, 공격, 사회성, 유희행동 등의 각종 행동유형을 조사하였으며 각 조사항목에 대하여 요인별로 주요인 효과와 자 요인들간의 상호작용 효과를 분석하였으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 두당 돈방면적을 0.44$m^2$로 한 것이 육성돈의 증체 및 사료요구율(p<0.01)면에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 돈군의 크기에 따라서는 15두군이 12두와 18두군에 비하여 증체와 사료요구율이 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 3. 육성돈의 행동에 대한 두당돈방면적의 효과는 두당돈방면적이 좁아지면 휴식행동과 비공격적 사회성 친화 행동이 감소되나 섭취행동과 공격행동은 그 빈도가 증가되었다(p<0.01). 4. 돈군의 크기는 육성돈의 행동에 크게 영향을 미치고 있으며 돈군의 크기가 커질수록 육성돈의 공격행동과 섭취행동은 증가되나 휴식행동은 감소되었다(p<0.01). 5. 육성돈의 생산과 행동면에서 두당 0.44$m^2$로 하고 돈군의 크기는 15두로 하는 것이 최적조건인 것으로 나타났다.

Evaluation of Twice Decorticated Sunflower Meal as a Protein Source Compared with Soybean Meal in Pig Diets

  • A series of four experiments was conducted to compare nutritional values of decorticated sunflower meals against soybean meal, in diets for pigs from weaning (Exp. 1 and 2) to finishing (Exp. 3 and 4). All experimental diets were prepared compensating for the energy content by using vegetable oil and the lysine content was matched using synthetic L-Lysine HCl. Twenty-one day old pigs were fed either corn-soybean meal based diet (CSBM) or corn- twice-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CDSM) for four weeks (Exp. 1). There was no difference in performances between treatment groups. In Exp. 2, corn-non-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CNSM) was added to the existing two treatments. Twenty-one day old pigs were fed three experimental diets for four weeks. Pigs fed CNSM had a lower weight gain and feed intake than other treatments (p<0.05). There was no difference between pigs fed CSBM and CDSM (Exp. 2). Growth performance of growing pigs was also greater (p<0.05) in pigs fed corn starch-twice- decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CSDSM) than pigs fed corn starch-non-decorticated sunflower meal based diet (CSNSM) during the eight week feeding trial (Exp. 3). There was no difference between pig fed corn starch-soybean meal based diet (CSSBM) and CSDSM (Exp. 3). In Exp. 4, growing pigs were fed three experimental diets (CSBM, CDSM, and barley-twice- decorticated sunflower meal based diet; BDSM) until the slaughter. There was no difference in growth performance of pigs during growing and finishing periods among treatments. However, pigs fed CSBM had a higher carcass dressing percentage (p<0.05) than pigs fed CDSM and BDSM. Pigs fed BDSM diet had a lower fat tissue percentage than other groups (p<0.05). The twice-decorticated sunflower meal can be used as a substitute for soybean meal in pig diets. The performances of piglets and growing-finishing pigs were not affected when soybean meal was replaced by twice-decorticated sunflower meal. This substitution needs the contribution of synthetic lysine and vegetable oil as sources of complementary nutrients to match the nutrient profile.

  • The luxury car market has been steadily growing for the last 10 years and it might keep expanding in the future. Furthermore, it is expected to be a very competitive market because luxury cars are considred to reflect the technology level of motor companies. For this reason, it is very important for motor companies to improve performances of luxury vehicles. However, it takes years for the companies to increase the technology level for the high performances. In this paper, we aim to analyze the technologies for high quality brake perfomances through investigation of two luxury vehicle models and develop a new high performance brake system. First, we found out a variety of effective factors for the high performances. Second, we conducted the brake performance analysis to figure out the relationship between brake effort and brake feeling. Finally, we develped the new brake system using carbon ceramic composite materials to satisfy the high quality brake performances.

산란종계 육성기 사료의 에너지 및 단백질 수준이 육성기 성장에 미치는 영향

  • This experiment was conduct to determine the influences of different levels of dietary energy and crude protein on growth performances during growing period (2 to 10 wk of age). A total of 360 egg breeder chicks (Hy-Line Brown) was divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates of 18 birds per replicate and fed the experimental diets containing three levels of energy and three levels of protein. With the increase in dietary crude protein levels, body weight significantly increased (P〈0.05). But dietary energy levels did not greatly affect growth performances. There were no significant differences to flock uniformity and tibia strength among treatments.

  • 본 논문에서는 보행자에 장착된 카메라로부터 입력된 자연영상에서의 구조적 패턴 변화에 강인한 적응적인 보도 영역 검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법에서는 다양한 패턴을 가지는 보도 환경에서 안정적으로 보도 영역을 분할하기 위해 첫 번째 단계에서는 소실점에 기반하는 VRay를 이용한 방사형 영역 분할법을 통해 보도의 경계선을 검출하여 보도의 후보영역을 분리하며, 두 번째 단계에서는 분리된 후보영역 내에서의 시드 영역 확장법(SRG)을 개선한 적응적 다중 시드 영역 확장법(A-MSRG)를 통해 구조적 패턴이 반복되는 보도 영역을 실시간으로 검출하는 방법을 수행한다. 성능평가를 위해 제안된 방사형 영역 분할법과 A-MSRG와의 결합에 의한 영역 검출 결과의 효율성을 측정한다. 기존의 SRG, MSRG 방법과의 비교 수행을 통해 제안된 방법의 타당성을 입증하였다.

Effects of Inclusion Levels of Dietary Vitamins and Trace Minerals on Growth Performance and Nutrient Digestibility in Growing Pigs

  • Two feeding trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of inclusion levels of dietary vitamin and trace mineral (VTM) premixes on growth and nutrient digestibility in growing pigs. A total of 112 pigs ($24.82{\pm}3.22kg$) were employed for 49 days (exp. 1), and 168 pigs ($21.64{\pm}1.41kg$) for 40 days (exp. 2) in completely randomized block designs. Treatments were: 1) 100%, 2) 150%, 3) 200% and 4) 250% NRC (1998) requirement of VTM in exp. 1, and the ratio of vitamins to trace minerals at 1) 100:100%, 2) 100:150%, 3) 150:100% and 4) 150:150% of NRC (1998) requirement in exp. 2. Basal diets for feeding trials were formulated to contain 3,310 kcal ME/kg and 18% crude protein, and contained 0.25% chromic oxide as an indigestible marker for digestibility trials. Increasing dietary VTM premix in growing pigs had linear and quadratic effects (p<0.05) on ADG, and feed conversion ratio was also improved (p<0.05) as VTM premix was increased by 150-250% of NRC (1998) requirements in exp. 1. Adding vitamin to trace mineral premixes at 150% NRC (1998) over the control improved (p<0.05) ADG and feed efficiency in growing pigs, but performances were not improved by vitamin nor by trace mineral premixes alone (p>0.15) (exp. 2). There were no differences (p>0.05) in the digestibilities of energy, crude protein and fat among dietary treatments. However, increasing dietary VTM premix in growing pigs had a linear effect (p<0.05) on the digestibilities of calcium and phosphorus. The 200 or 250% fed group showed improved (p<0.05) calcium digestibility, and 250% fed group also showed improved (p<0.05) phosphorus digestibility as compared to 100% or 150% fed group (exp. 1). The digestibilities of Ca and P were higher (p<0.05) in 150% addition of vitamins than in 150% addition of trace minerals in the diet (exp. 2).

성 성숙기 이후 농후사료 급여수준이 한우 암소의 성장과 번식능력, 혈액성상 및 초음파 도체성적에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Concentrate Feeding Level after Sexual Maturity on the Growth and Breeding Performances, Blood Composition, and Ultrasonic Carcass Traits in Hanwoo Cows)

  • 본 시험은 성 성숙기의 한우 암송아지 18두(14개월령, 평균체중 251kg)를 이용하여 저 수준의 농후사료 급여에 따른 성장과 번식능력에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 공시축은 시판 한우 번식우용 배합사료를 체중의 0.8%(T1) 및 1.2%(T2)씩 총 30개월(사양시험 20개월, 번식능력시험 10개월) 동안 섭취하였으며, 처리구당 9두를 2우리에 완전임의 배치를 하였다. 본 시험의 사양시험 결과를 한국가축사양표준의 영양소 요구량과 비교해 볼 때, T1구에서 성장이 제대로 되지 못한 이유는 에너지 보다는 단백질 섭취부족 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 공시축의 체형변화에서 저 영양수준으로 인하여 영향을 가장 많이 받는 부위는 흉폭과 체장이었으며 특히, 흉폭은 시험시작시보다도 종료시 측정치가 오히려 3.7% 작았다. 난소의 크기는 T1구가 T2구의 약 63%수준밖에 되지 않았으며, 수태율(33.3% : 77.8%)과 송아지의 생시체중(22.5kg : 29.5kg)도 T1구에서 심각하게 저하되었다. 따라서 한우번식우 사양에 있어서 성성숙기 이후에도 에너지보다는 단백질 공급수준에 의해 사양성적 및 번식능력에 많은 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Graphene is a two-dimensional sp2 layer material. Despite the short history in the empirical synthesis of the graphene layers, the academic/industrial unique features have brought highly significant interest in research and development related to graphene-related materials. In particular, the electrical and optical performances have been targeted towards pre-existing microelectronicand emerging nanoelectronic applications. The graphene synthesis relies on a variety of processing factors, such as temperature, pressure, and gas ratios involving H2, CH4, and Ar, in addition to the inherent selection of copper substrates. The current work places its emphasis on the role of experimental factors in growing graphene thin films. The thermally-grown graphene layers are characterized using physical/chemical analyses, i.e., four point resistance measurements, Raman spectroscopy, and UV-Visible spectrophotometry. Ultimately, an optimization strategy is proposed in growing high-quality graphene layers well-controlled through empirical factors.
