남성들의 외모관리행동에 관한 연구(III) - 성역할태도를 중심으로 - (A Study on Appearance Management Behavior of Male Consumers(III) - Focusing on the Gender Role Identity -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of appearance management behavior, appearance management motives and body image perception according to males' gender role identities. A set of questionnaire was administered to 398 male consumers. Data were analyzed by utilizing frequency, factor analysis, ANONA, and Crosstabs. The results showed that four groups of male consumers according to the gender role identity were androgyny, unclassified, femininity, and masculinity. The androgyny oriented group showed more active and various appearance management behavior. And they were more conscious of their own body image and rated themselves high in body image perception. The masculinity oriented group were satisfied with their bodies and showed positive attitudes on their body figures and hair care. The femininity oriented group showed positive attitudes on skin care and plastic surgery for social life.

대학생의 진로교육을 위한 웹기반 사이버강의 콘텐츠 개발 및 효과검증 (The Study on Development and Effectiveness of Web-based Cyber Class Contents for University Student's Career Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop cyber class contents on website and to verify the effectiveness of the program to reinforce a career education. The participants of the experiment in this study are from Namseoul University who took the cyber class 'Self management and creation of vision.' of the second semester in 2015. They took the class fifty-sixty minutes a week. The control group also includes the students who took the classes 'Theory and practice of school violence prevention' and 'Youth Education theory.' To verify the effectiveness of career education, the data processing in performing this study utilized t-test for homogeneity with the effective variable of career identity and career decision and the result was proved by using paired t-test. The result suggests that the experiment group significantly shows improvement compared with the control group in the view of career identity and career decision level. Therefore we recognize that the web based cyber course has its effect on content development and career education and we anticipate the continuous development and activation of effective cyber education on website for university students in future.

1950-1960년 콩고민주공화국 바콩고동맹(ABAKO)의 정체성 변화에 대한 고찰 (A Study of the Change of ABAKO Identity from 1950 to 1960)

  • ABAKO(Alliance des Bakongo) of Democratic Republic of Congo is an organization founded by an ethnic group who sought to preserve its language, culture and tradition. It later developed into a political organization and led an independence movement from Belgium. In 1950, Edmond Nzeza-Nlandu founded the ABAKO in Leopoldville (currently known as Kinshasa), the capital of Belgian Congo. ABAKO changed into a political organization, however, when Nzeza-Nlandu stepped down from his position and Joseph Kasa-Vubu was elected instead as the chief of ABAKO in March 21, 1954. The Bakongo nationalism, as a link between the Kongo Kingdom of the past and the Bakongo people of the present, had influence on their cultural identity, attitude towards authority, political orientation, a common ground for geographical boundaries, and provided foundation for group mobilization. Moreover, the Kimbangu Church, founded by Simon Kimbangu had close ties with ABAKO. They struggled to obtain independece from the Belgian colonial rule. In conclusion, the leaders and members of ABAKO regarded the 'ethnic, linguistic and historical' affinities as the identity of their Bakongo nationalist group.

고령장애인의 차별경험과 사회적 지지가 신체적 건강 및 정신적 건강에 미치는 영향 - 장애정체감의 매개효과와 장애정도에 따른 다중집단 분석 - (Effects of Discrimination Experience and Social Support on Physical and Mental Health among the Disabled - Mediation Effect of Disability Identity and Multiple Group Comparison by Degree of Disability -)

  • 본 연구는 50세 이상 고령장애인이 경험한 차별과 이들이 받는 사회적 지지가 신체적 건강(주관적 건강, 만성질환빈도)과 정신적 건강(우울도)에 미치는 영향이 장애정체감을 통해 매개되는지를 살피고 있다. 또한 이러한 매개효과가 중증장애인과 경증장애인에게서 차별적으로 나타나는가를 함께 살피고 있다. 경험적 분석을 위해서 본 연구진이 수집한 장애인패널조사자료(2016년도)를 활용하였으며, 구조방정식 모형분석과 장애정도에 따른 다중집단분석을 실시하였다. 구조방정식분석결과에 의하면, 장애정체감에 대한 사회적 지지의 직접효과가 나타났다. 신체적 건강은 사회적 지지의 직접적인 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 정신적 건강의 경우 장애차별경험, 사회적 지지, 장애정체감, 신체적 건강의 직접효과와 함께 사회적 지지가 갖는 장애정체감의 매개효과가 나타났다. 이는 고령장애인에 대한 사회적 지지는 이들의 장애정체감을 향상하여 결과적으로 정신건강 증진에 기여함을 의미한다. 한편 다중집단분석의 결과, 경증장애인에게서는 장애차별경험이 장애정체감에 미치는 효과가 유의하였으나, 중증장애인에게서는 그러한 효과가 유의하지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 중증장애인의 경우 공통근거수준이 낮으며, 경증장애인의 경우 외적장벽 수준이 낮은 것과 관계가 있는 것으로 추정된다. 중증 및 고령장애인의 차별성에 기초한 건강지원 전략이 필요함을 시사한다.

  • 한국전쟁시기에 중국은 총 세 차례 '항미원조' 위문단을 북한으로 파견했다. 그 목적은 하나는 미제국주의와 싸우고 있는 중국인민지원군과 조선인민군을 위로함과 동시에 국내의 사정을 전달하여 지원군의 사기를 북돋아주기 위해서였고, 다른 하나는 신중국의 사회주의건설사업에 기여하기 위해서였다. 즉 위문 활동을 통해 직접 보고 들은 다양한 영웅사적과 미제국주의 만행을 중국인민들에게 선전하여 국제주의와 신중국에 대한 애국주의사상을 고취함으로써 전쟁동원과 신중국건설을 효과적으로 진행하려는 것이었다. 위문단 단원은 정치, 군사, 민족, 사회, 문화, 교육 등 국가 제반 구성 분야의 다양한 계층(노동자, 농민, 지식인, 여성, 학생, 군인 등)의 인물들로 구성되었다. 이들의 활동은 위문과 취재, 각종 좌담회와 공연 등 다양한 방식으로 전개되었는데, 그 과정은 그야말로 분노와 동정, 희생과 감동, 전투와 낭만, 감격과 위안의 감정으로 충만해 있었다. 그러한 감정은 귀국한 위문단의 국내 선전 활동을 통해 중국인민들에게도 고스란히 전달되었다. '항미원조' 위문단은 조직구성과 구체적인 공연 활동에 이르기까지 신중국의 사회주의 정체성을 분명하게 드러냈다. 민주와 평등, 세계평화와 무산계급 연대를 강조한 국제주의 추구, 공산당정권 옹호를 기반으로 한 애국주의 지향 등이 바로 그 정체성이었다. 위문단은 국경을 넘나들며 신중국의 이러한 정체성 인식을 쌍방향으로 효율적 확산을 이루는 데 한몫했다. 이는 일종의 정치·문화적 퍼포먼스로서 '항미원조' 위문단이 갖는 중요한 의미라고 할 수 있다.

가상 커뮤니티에서 사회적 자본과 정체성이 지식기여에 미치는 역할: 실증적 분석 (The Role of Social Capital and Identity in Knowledge Contribution in Virtual Communities: An Empirical Investigation)

  • A challenge in fostering virtual communities is the continuous supply of knowledge, namely members' willingness to contribute knowledge to their communities. Previous research argues that giving away knowledge eventually causes the possessors of that knowledge to lose their unique value to others, benefiting all except the contributor. Furthermore, communication within virtual communities involves a large number of participants with different social backgrounds and perspectives. The establishment of mutual understanding to comprehend conversations and foster knowledge contribution in virtual communities is inevitably more difficult than face-to-face communication in a small group. In spite of these arguments, evidence suggests that individuals in virtual communities do engage in social behaviors such as knowledge contribution. It is important to understand why individuals provide their valuable knowledge to other community members without a guarantee of returns. In virtual communities, knowledge is inherently rooted in individual members' experiences and expertise. This personal nature of knowledge requires social interactions between virtual community members for knowledge transfer. This study employs the social capital theory in order to account for interpersonal relationship factors and identity theory for individual and group factors that may affect knowledge contribution. First, social capital is the relationship capital which is embedded within the relationships among the participants in a network and available for use when it is needed. Social capital is a productive resource, facilitating individuals' actions for attainment. Nahapiet and Ghoshal (1997) identify three dimensions of social capital and explain theoretically how these dimensions affect the exchange of knowledge. Thus, social capital would be relevant to knowledge contribution in virtual communities. Second, existing research has addressed the importance of identity in facilitating knowledge contribution in a virtual context. Identity in virtual communities has been described as playing a vital role in the establishment of personal reputations and in the recognition of others. For instance, reputation systems that rate participants in terms of the quality of their contributions provide a readily available inventory of experts to knowledge seekers. Despite the growing interest in identities, however, there is little empirical research about how identities in the communities influence knowledge contribution. Therefore, the goal of this study is to better understand knowledge contribution by examining the roles of social capital and identity in virtual communities. Based on a theoretical framework of social capital and identity theory, we develop and test a theoretical model and evaluate our hypotheses. Specifically, we propose three variables such as cohesiveness, reciprocity, and commitment, referring to the social capital theory, as antecedents of knowledge contribution in virtual communities. We further posit that members with a strong identity (self-presentation and group identification) contribute more knowledge to virtual communities. We conducted a field study in order to validate our research model. We collected data from 192 members of virtual communities and used the PLS method to analyse the data. The tests of the measurement model confirm that our data set has appropriate discriminant and convergent validity. The results of testing the structural model show that cohesion, reciprocity, and self-presentation significantly influence knowledge contribution, while commitment and group identification do not significantly influence knowledge contribution. Our findings on cohesion and reciprocity are consistent with the previous literature. Contrary to our expectations, commitment did not significantly affect knowledge contribution in virtual communities. This result may be due to the fact that knowledge contribution was voluntary in the virtual communities in our sample. Another plausible explanation for this result may be the self-selection bias for the survey respondents, who are more likely to contribute their knowledge to virtual communities. The relationship between self-presentation and knowledge contribution was found to be significant in virtual communities, supporting the results of prior literature. Group identification did not significantly affect knowledge contribution in this study, inconsistent with the wealth of research that identifies group identification as an important factor for knowledge sharing. This conflicting result calls for future research that examines the role of group identification in knowledge contribution in virtual communities. This study makes a contribution to theory development in the area of knowledge management in general and virtual communities in particular. For practice, the results of this study identify the circumstances under which individual factors would be effective for motivating knowledge contribution to virtual communities.

인터넷 Identity 관리 시스템 환경에서 XACML을 이용한 프라이버시 컨트롤러 (Privacy Controller using XACML for Internet Identity Management System)

  • 인터넷 환경에서 유통되는 사용자 정보는 실소유자가 원하는 데로 제어되어야만 한다. 이를 위해서는 사용자가 요구하는 정보 유통 방식을 표현할 수 있는 프라이버시 정책이 필요하고, 사용자가 편리하게 정책을 설정할 수 있는 인터페이스가 요구된다. 또한 정보 유통이 발생할 때 사용자의 정책에 위배되는지 판단할 수 있는 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 Identity 관리 시스템 환경에서 운영되는 프라이버시 컨트롤러 시스템 모델을 제안하고 시스템의 인터페이스 및 정책 설정 과정을 제안한다. 정책 구현을 위한 언어로는 OASIS의 XACML을 수정하여 적용하였고, 사용자 정책 외에 도메인 정책, 기본 정보 제공 정책, 정책 충돌 해결 정책을 제안한다.

성역할정체감에 따른 치과위생사의 업무수행 만족도와 자기 효능감 (The effect of gender role identity on the satisfaction and self effectiveness with job performance of dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effect of job performance satisfaction and self-efficacy according to gender role identity in the dental hygienist. Methods: Data collection was performed from June 21 to July 31, 2015. The survey was composed of questions on the subject's general demographical profile, gender role identity, job satisfaction, job performace satisfaction, and self-efficacy as a dental hygienist. The job performance satisfaction and self-efficacy were done by Kruskal-Wallis test and Bonferroni post hoc test. Results: 1. The highest job performance satisfaction was shown as unclassified (36.6%), bisexuality (27.8%0, feminity (19.8%), and masculinity (15.9%). 2. There was a significant difference between the satisfaction as a dental hygienist and self-efficacy among the group (p<0.001). 3. Both female and male dental hygienists had the highest satisfaction and self-efficacy with the job performance. Conclusions: The satisfaction and self-efficacy with the job performance were influenced by gender role identity. Therefore, in order to enhance the satisfaction and self-efficacy as a dental hygienist, the education for the dental hygienist must include the gender role identity in the future.

농촌지역 코시안가정주부의 의사소통능력, 문화적 정체성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Communication and Cultural Identity on Marital Satisfaction among Kosian Housewives in Rural Areas)

  • 본 연구는 농촌지역 코시안가정주부들의 사회인구학적 특성 및 의사소통능력과 문화적 정체성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 경상북도 예천군과 봉화군을 임의표집하였으며, 샘플의 크기는 84명이다. 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코시안가정주부들은 주로 경제적 이유로 결혼하였으나, 현재 경제적 수준은 매우 열악하며, 둘째, 문화적 정체성은 한국문화 정체성이(평균 3.52/5점(${\pm}0.598$)) 모국문화 정체성(평균 3.27/5점(${\pm}0.611$))보다 유의하게 높게 나타났으나 보통수준이고, 결혼만족도(평균3.60/5점(${\pm}0.630$)) 역시 보통수준으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모국문화 정체성은 연령, 국적, 모국의 직업, 종교, 자녀수, 결혼기간, 결혼이유와 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로 나타났으나, 한국문화 정체성은 이들 변수와 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 보여주지 않았다. 넷째, 과반수이상이 의사소통능력수준이 낮고, 의사소통능력이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단보다 한국문화 정체성이 더 높았다. 다섯째, 결혼만족도에 가장 영향을 미치는 변수는 한국문화 정체성이었으며, 다음은 년평균 소득, 학력, 모국문화 정체성 순이었다. 한국문화 정체성과 년평균 소득은 높을수록, 모국문화 정체성과 학력은 낮을수록 결혼만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 조사결과에 대한 사회복지실천적 함의를 논의하였다.
