Context-aware computing aims to enable the on-line applications and services to be executed in a timely and automated manner. Many of such applications and services involve group-level interactions. For more smoothing communication within a community, specific group-level issues such as group dynamics must be considered. To do so, obtaining group-level contexts such as the role, conflict resolution and norms, are key ingredients to improve group performance. Since group context is not the same as a simple summation of individual context, as group is not just a simple set of individuals, awaring individual context is not sufficient for group-level communication support. However, context-aware computing research still has stressed more on individual context. This leads us to the motivation of searching for group context aware method. Hence, the of this paper is to propose a novel methodology which automatically recognizes group context. Especially, we focus on group conhesiveness in this paper just because group cohosiveness is one of the important variables to control the performance of group interaction. To verify the applicability of the proposed method, an empirical test has been conducted to compare the performance of the proposed methodology with that of conventional methods.
This study aims to investigate how the four college students interact with one another to discuss and construct meaning in a small reading group. Additionally, this study attempts to examine how the participants played their roles in the group. Data sources consisted of transcripts of the students' interactions, questionnaires and informal interviews, and the researchers' observation notes. The data revealed that the participants contributed fairly steadily to the interactions by checking with own grammatical knowledge, providing lexical information, understanding the micro level context, and presenting the macro level context. Several pedagogical implications are presented for the practical classroom. Findings of the study suggest effective ways to implement group activities in reading classes and a teacher's role for optimum group learning.

A context-aware services platform supporting mobile agents consists of sensor nodes and a sensor coordinator. Sensor nodes collect environmental information and transmit the collected information to the sensor coordinator through wireless sensor networks. The sensor coordinator passes the information to the context-aware service module, and the mobile agent. The context-aware service module or the mobile agent performs services suitable for a user's situation based on the environmental information and a service actuation message is delivered to an actuation node through the sensor coordinator. In this paper, we present a context-aware services platform structure employed in our project, and describe context-aware services platform interfaces with a context-aware service module and mobile agents.
In this paper, we apply some properties of reversible rings, Baerness of fixed rings, skew group rings and Morita Context rings to get conditions that shows fixed rings, skew group rings and Morita Context rings are reversible. Moreover, we investigate conditions in which Baer rings are reversible and reversible rings are Baer.

This study investigated 7th grade students' context dependency on explanations about propagating path of light in three different contextual problems: observation of an object, observation of an object's image in a mirror, and observation of one's own face reflection in a mirror. Researchers examined student response in each context through interviews. The students were classified into four groups according to their explanations for the three different contexts. Each group was redivided into two or three subgroups in accordance with their conceptual features. After that, researchers investigated the characteristics of each subgroup. Main findings of the study indicated that (1) group 1 students' conceptions differed in each context; (2) group 2 students showed scientific conceptions in C1 context but in C2 context they showed visual ray conceptions or image misconceptions; (3) group 3 students did not show scientific conceptions in C3 context by strong misconceptions about one's own face reflection in the mirror. Also, this paper discussed the educational implications of the results.
This paper implemented the u-Healthcare Context Information System (HCIS) supporting ubiquitous healthcare by using location, health and titrating environment information collected from sensors/devices equipped in home for healthcare home service. The HCIS is based on the Distributed Object Group Framework (DOGF), a management model which can customize distributed resources, and manages various context information, applications and devices as a group in healthcare home environment, as one more logical units. Also, this system provides continuous healthcare multimedia service considering a resident's location using Mobile Proxy, and the healthcare context information through Context Provider to a resident in home. For verifying execution of our system, we implemented the seamless multimedia service based on resident's location and the prescription/advice and schedule notification/alarm service as healthcare applications in home. And we showed the executing results of healthcare home service by using service device existed in the residential space on which the resident is located according to the healthcare scenario.

In the previous study, six factors which could disturb students' problem solving in an everyday context were identified and discussed. In this study, teaching materials to help students overcome those disturbing factors for successful problem solving in an everyday context were developed and applied to twenty-nine grade 10 students, and the effects of teaching materials were analyzed. According to the analysis of the correlation between the performance in everyday context problem solving and the benefit from the teaching materials, it was found that students who received the help from the teaching materials showed better performance with statistical significance. And students noted that teaching materials were helpful for them to solve the physics problems. Analyzing the overall performance of students in solving the everyday context problem, students in the experimental group showed better performance than the control group and this performance difference was larger among low-score students in school science testing. However, these differences were not statistically significant because the sample size was small. And, based on the analysis of interviews with students, it was also found that some students who showed low performance might not receive help from the teaching materials because the materials were too complex to be read easily, or because the basic concepts needed to solve the problem were not understood. Therefore, the results obtained from the interviews will be used to design more effective teaching for problem solving in an everyday context.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of individuals with social anxiety tendency and normal people according to existence of emotional context in attention processing for positive facial stimulation. To do this, we investigated attentional processing for positive face stimuli in a condition without/with emotional context. SADS and CES-D were administered to 800 undergraduate students in D city and the social anxiety group (SA, n=24) and the normal control group (NC, n=24) were selected. In order to measure the two factors of attention process (attention engagement and attention disengagement), first gaze direction and first gaze time were measured through eye-movement tracking. The results show that the SA group exhibited faster attention disengagement from positive face stimuli compared to the NC group in the condition without context. But, when the positive context presented with positive face stimuli, there is no difference between SA and NC. This result suggests that the positive background affects emotional processing of social anxiety disorder.

Context-Awareness system provides an appropriate service to user by recognizing situation from surrounding environment. There are many successful studies on this framework, but still has some limitations. In this paper, we are describing a context-awareness middleware that can enhance the limitation of the previous approaches. We first defined a new concept of context-awareness environment as a social intelligence. This concept implies that intelligent objects can make relationships, can aware of situation from surrounding environment, and can collaborate to accomplish a given task. The significance of the study is as follows. First, the system is capable of multi context-awareness since it is designed with a structure that supports multiple lines of reasoning. Second, the system is capable of context planning by adapting AI planning mechanism. Third, the system is capable of making the intelligent objects as a group for collaboration, and provides adaptive service to user. We have developed a prototype of the system and tested with a virtual scenario.
