  • The purpose of this study is to improve a general Top-Down construction process for superstructure construction period reduction. In a general Top-Down construction sequence, the ground floor slab is set up first. Subsequently, 1st basement level construction including core walls is constructed. Initiation of the ground level superstructure gets waited until then. In this study, removable deck plate installation on the bottom of the core walls of ground level is preceding the concrete casting, therefore, ground level superstructure construction is able to get started earlier. Up to first typical floor concrete casting, total of seventy-two working(calendar) days will be resulted in a reduction from the total construction periods.

  • This study was to compare the protection abilities of an SPF through ground or underwater casting. A mat of 1/10 scale was made and then mortar was placed on the ground and submerged conditions. A limit velocity of each mat was estimated with this experiment. As a result of the test, the mat failed because of the decrease of bearing power in the center of the waterway. On the one hand, the edge of the mat, where the velocity is slow, secures stability. The result of the limit velocity analysis suggests that a velocity of ground placement with 6.51m/s and underwater casting with 9.80m/s is the minimum to ensure stability. When SPF mat with a thickness of 0.50m is replaced with a concrete block, it is calculated to need a maximum thickness of 2.21m.

  • This study were conducted to determine the optimum warm casting rate(0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500kg/10a) for the yield of food canna in jeju island. The plant height was ranged from 109.4 to 1347cm as organic fertilizer of worm casting increased from 0 to 500kg/10a, but it was no significance between 400 to 500kg/10a. Leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, number of tillers and bulb per plant were shown higher as the amount of worm casting was increased. Stem diameter were the same trend with plant height response. Fresh yield of food canna increased significantly 134 to 22.6MT/ha as fertilizer rate increased from 0 to 500kg/10a. Fresh weight of above-ground pan and blub were shown the same trend with fresh yield of food canna.

  • Raw perlite is a volcanic alumino-silicate and is used as aggregate in the construction industry. The high silica and alumina contained in the raw perlite allows the production of geopolymer mortar with the help of alkaline solutions. In this study, different geopolymer mortars are obtained by mixing ground perlite (GP), sodium hydroxide (NaOH), water and CEN standard sand and the strength and microstructure of these mortars are investigated. Mortar specimens are placed in the oven 24 hours after casting and kept at different temperatures and times, then the specimens are cured under laboratory conditions until the day of strength tests. After curing, unit weight, ultrasound pulse velocity, flexural and compressive strengths are determined. Experimental results indicate that the mechanical properties of the mortars enhance with increasing oven-curing period and temperatures as well as increasing NaOH molarity. In addition, SEM/EDS and XRD analyses are performed on the mortar specimens and the results are interpreted.

  • Case studies published in Korea versus the low ground fault is applied on the bridge based on theory or experience in the design of pile bearing capacity by the value of the expression is designed to conduct field tests Disclosure Load bearing capacity value, the result of applying a reasonable construction cost savings of approximately 10 eokyeowon Has, in the design of site investigation was insufficient to require additional efforts. Apply the appropriate value from the extra support in the design of accurate ground survey and air speed to cut the budget and social technology can ensure the reliability was unknown.

  • A furan mold design and machining system for marine propeller casting was developed. In general, a large marine propeller is produced by casting in a foundry, where the upper and lower molds are constructed of cement or other materials like furan. Then, the cast workpiece is machined and manually ground. Currently, furan mold construction requires a series of manual tasks. This introduces a fairly large amount of stock allowances, which require a considerable number of man-hours for later machining and grinding, and also increase the work processes. A mold design and off-line robot programming software tool with a six-axis robot hardware system was developed to enhance the shape accuracy and productivity. This system will be applied in a Korean ship building company.

  • In metalcraft, there are two kind of skills, one is forming and the other is decoration. And we could discern these skills as metal casting and metal hammering.. In metal casting, there are sand mould, cire perdus, stone mould and sealed monld; In metal hammering, metal forging, repousse technique and metal sheet making. After make form, craftman can use the decoration skills. There are chasing hammering, line carving, dotted line engraving, hair line engraving, kicking line engraving, ring punched ground, inlay, filigee and granulation skills. In korean traditional copper alloy, the craftman used forming and decoration skills. In Korea, tradionally the clatter use bronze for copper alloy; in case of Japan, they use violet coloring, and in case of Chinese, they like to use bronze used copper alloy. In case of Alloy, korean craftman used bronze traditionally, but recently the copper alloy skill is usually used; in case of Japan shibuichi and shakudo skills are used; and in Chinese copper, brass and cupronikel alloy are used.

  • The saury stick - held dip net fishery of Korea in the Northwest Pacific Ocean began in 1985 with 3 vessels. Since then the fishery has grown so rapidly year by year that the number of vessels increased to 34 and the catch to 40 thousands Mff in 1993. In the present study, the monthly situation and the movement of the fishing ground for the pacific saury in the Northwest Pacific were investigated and the monthly optimum fIshing tempertures were estimated, from the relationship between the catch and the sea surface temperature. In the beginning of the fishing season, June to August, the fIshing ground is formed in the very wide range, mainly in the northward area of the front meandering, as the parcific saury migrate northward. In the main season, September to November, the ground is formed in the southward area of the front, off the east coast of Japan. Andd then, the fishing season ends in December with the ground coming near to the east coast of Japan. The monthly optimum fishing tempertures showed 11~$13^{\circ}C.$ in June to July, 13-$17^{\circ}C.$ in August to November, and 15~ $17^{\circ}C.$ in December in general. The profIles of water temperature were much different in accordance by net casting position in the fishing ground, regardless of season. So, the MLD and CPUE was analyzed to find out the relation between the water temperature and the catch. Then, it is found that the CPUE shows over 0.7Mtr/haul as the MLD 40~70m.40~70m.

  • In this paper, an adaptive beam tracing method with revised subdivision technique is proposed, in which the beam is generated by a set of three rays. According to reflection and/or refraction of the rays on the buildings and/or ground, additional rays are generated adaptively and the beam is subdivided efficiently and automatically. After generation of the set of beams, we transform the electromagnetic wave propagation data into volume data. Then one can visualize the data of propagation with reflection, refraction and interaction in full three dimensional space at any viewpoint by the so-called ray casting algorithm, which is one of the most useful methods in compute. graphics(CG).

  • Liquid-liquid phase separation due to the very different density and composition occurs when the hypermonotectic alloys are solidified on the ground. Besides this, other factors such as preferential wetting and coalescence make it difficult to get uniform microstructures during the directional solidification of hypermonotectic alloys. Therefore a few novel solidification methods to get rid of such a nonuniformity have been reviewed and the recent experimental work using ultrasonic energy in conjunction with directional solidification has been presented. The uniformly solidified structures have been obtained when the ultrasonic of 20kHz applied to transparent organic system, Succinonitrile-Glycerol, varying ultrasonic amplitude and composition etc.
