머신러닝 기법을 활용한 논 순용수량 예측 (Prediction of Net Irrigation Water Requirement in paddy field Based on Machine Learning)

  • This study tested SVM(support vector machine), RF(random forest), and ANN(artificial neural network) machine-learning models that can predict net irrigation water requirements in paddy fields. For the Jeonju and Jeongeup meteorological stations, the net irrigation water requirement was calculated using K-HAS from 1981 to 2021 and set as the label. For each algorithm, twelve models were constructed based on cumulative precipitation, precipitation, crop evapotranspiration, and month. Compared to the CE model, the R2 of the CEP model was higher, and MAE, RMSE, and MSE were lower. Comprehensively considering learning performance and learning time, it is judged that the RF algorithm has the best usability and predictive power of five-days is better than three-days. The results of this study are expected to provide the scientific information necessary for the decision-making of on-site water managers is expected to be possible through the connection with weather forecast data. In the future, if the actual amount of irrigation and supply are measured, it is necessary to develop a learning model that reflects this.

초전도케이블의 계통 응용 적용개소 선정기법 연구 (A Study of the Selection Method for the Application Section of Superconducting Cable)

  • 본 논문에서는 초전도 케이블의 계통 적용시 적용개소의 선정기법을 제시하였다. 초전도 케이블은 케이블의 장선화가 불가능하고, 송전용량이 대용량이어야 하며, 특히 초전도체에서 상도체로의 전이현상이 일어나는 ��치 현상이 있다. 따라서 단거리, 대용량인 소요 개소에 초전도 케이블의 적용이 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 초전도 케이블의 특성을 고려하여 적용개소 선정에 있어 최적조류계산을 통한 기술적 검토와 경제적 검토를 수행하였으며 또한 초전도 케이블의 교체 전인 기존 계통과의 비교를 통해 선정기법의 타당성을 제시하였다.

Flux Optimization Using Genetic Algorithms in Membrane Bioreactor

  • The behavior of submerged membrane bioreactor (SMBR) filtration systems utilizing rapid air backpulsing as a cleaning technique to remove reversible foulants was investigated using a genetic algorithm (GA). A customized genetic algorithm with suitable genetic operators was used to generate optimal time profiles. From experiments utilizing short and long periods of forward and reverse filtration, various experimental process parameters were determined. The GA indicated that the optimal values for the net flux fell between 263-270 LMH when the forward filtration time ($t_f$) was 30-37 s and the backward filtration time ($t_b$) was 0.19-0.27 s. The experimental data confirmed the optimal backpulse duration and frequency that maximized the net flux, which represented a four-fold improvement in 24-h backpulsing experiments compared with the absence of backpulsing. Consequently, the identification of a region of feasible parameters and nonlinear flux optimization were both successfully performed by the genetic algorithm, meaning the genetic algorithm-based optimization proved to be useful for solving SMBR flux optimization problems.

  • As the threat of climate change escalates, 'net-zero' has become a priority for the international community, and the use of new and renewable energy sources is expected to play a significant role in reaching international carbon neutrality. Here, we evaluate technological competitiveness in terms of implementation and technology by analyzing scientific literature and patents in the new and renewable energy fields of five major countries. For the past 10 years (2009-2019), the most active areas of new and renewable energy research and development have been solar power, wind power, waste, and fuel cells. China is the forerunner in implementation, whereas the United States has the most advanced technology. Portfolio analysis revealed that Korea's fuel cell, the United States' bioenergy, China's waste, Japan's solar and fuel cell, and the European Union's wind power have shown to be in Star Field respectively. Technological competitiveness analysis found that Korea is lagging behind other countries in the new and renewable energy sector, and needs to set a new direction for future carbon-neutral research and development, investment, and policy.

  • The analysis of flux distribution under stead-state in large power reactors with assymetry reactivity insertions requires the use of three-dimensional diffusion calculations. For the purpose, consistently formulated modern nodal methods based on higher order interface techniques have become popular tools for flux distributions in large commercial nuclear reactors. Among the earlier developments, the nodal Green's function method obtains its nodal interface equation from the transverse-integrated integral diffusion equation using a finite-medium Green's function. In this method, the outgoing current from a node surface is formulated as a response of the incoming currents and the spatially integrated neutron source within the same node. The well-known nodal expansion method is also based on an interface partial current formulation. Nodal methods high-level interface variables, i.e., interface net current and flux, may be more computationally efficient than the nodal Green's function method because they have one fewer unknown per interface. The Analytic Nodal Method(ANM), which can be classified as an interface net current technique and, was faster in solving some standard benchmark problems than the other two methods.(omitted)

수조에서 여러 가지 색광에 대한 멸치의 반응 연구 (The study on the Anchovy's (Engraulis japonica) reaction to several light colors in a tank)

  • This study was conducted to develop energy-efficient LED lamps with an excellent fishing performance for an anchovy scoop net by comparing the functions of 6 different lamps- incandescent, blue LED, green LED, white LED, yellow LED and red LED lamp. We used incandescent and red LED lamps only for the initial test and then excluded because those showed the lowest herding capacity. According to the result, yellow LED showed lower herding capacity in comparison with the blue, green and white one. Although the herding performance of the blue, green and white LED was similar in almost tests, herding speed to the each light was different. The anchovies were gathered into the blue LED as the speed of 39.88cm/s that was the fastest. Green LED was the second as the speed of 33.28cm/s. White LED was the slowest as the speed of 26.73cm/s. We will have field tests because we found the result that yellow LED's herding performance was better than green LED's for 5 seconds comparing after starting in some tests.

다랑어 선망어선 탑재용 보조 작업선의 추진기 형태 변화에 대한 제작과정 및 해상시운전 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Sea Trials and Production Processes for Propulsion Type Working Boats with a Tuna Purse Seiner)

  • 우리나라에서는 다랑어 선망어업의 기술 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 많은 연구개발이 이루어지고 있으며, 이러한 노력으로 인하여 다랑어 선망어선의 선형개선과 어군 탐지를 위한 레이다, 소나 및 위성정보시스템의 개발로 인해 조업 효율이 향상되었다. 그러나 다랑어 선망어선에 탑재되는 보조 작업선인 스키프보트, 네트보트 및 스피드보트의 경우에는 본선의 기술 현대화에 비해 기술력이 낙후되어 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 그물을 끌기 위한 양망의 기능과 프로펠러로부터 다랑어를 보호하기 위하여 설치된 철망을 가진 기존의 네트보트의 선체를 워터제트 추진기 탑재가 가능한 선체로 변경하여 다랑어 보호, 선체저항 감소 및 운항성능 향상하고자 하였다. 결과적으로 워터제트 형태에 적합한 선형에 대해 해양수산부 고시에 의거한 알루미늄 구조강도 기준을 적용한 시제선 제작하였으며 낙하시험을 수행하여 안전성을 확인하였다. 또한 해상시운전을 통하여 기존의 네트보트는 2,500 RPM에서 속도는 12.0 knot, 예인력은 2,545 kgf이며, 워터제트가 탑재된 네트보트는 3,200 RPM에서 속도는 26.7 knot, 예인력은 2,011 kgf로 워터제트가 탑재된 네트보트 또한 다랑어 선망어선의 보조 작업선으로 예인용량 기준에 충분히 만족함을 알 수 있었다.

그린 맵 작성 및 활용에 관한 연구 -서초구의 사례- (A Study on the Green Mapping and Its Application in the Case of Seocho-Gu)

  • The purpose of this study is to help out the settlement of the Green Map in Korea, and to suggest how to map, and help community people and environmental planner systematically take care of their own towns. This study is also to introduce the green mapping and its usefulness, based on the Green Map Movement, which originated from Net York City and has been expanding through the World. Environmental elements shown on the Green map vary between countries and for the Seocho-Gu Green Map, we have decided to indicate the places that we are proud of, and dishonored of. Especially, this paper is focused on finding the hidden environmental resources in our daily lives. Seocho-Gu, one of 25 self-governmental resources. Since the citizens and government officials are open-minded in their environments, it is a suitable area to start the first Green Map in Korea. As a method of locating the environmental resources, the "Foot Sensing Method" by which residents directly research, is the main difference from typical maps by the "Remote Sensing" which focused on the variety participation of the residents such as questionnaires, investigation with youth volunteers, users interviews which may be more meaningful than the Green Map itself. The purpose of application plan is to preserve the environmental resources through the smooth feedback with the residents. Thus, it must be acted as a opening window linking them with the local circumstances. In line with this, this study proposed the trial-version Web Green Map and Green tour plan. Recently, a need for an environmental map has been reflected in the environmental policies of Seoul Metropolitan City, and it is in place now. If environmental experts of different disciplines use the Green Map for landscape architecture, design, and city planning, it will help them make a better understanding of the needs of the community and to practice the user-centered design. Eventually, the Seocho-Gu Green Map will help its residents, tourists, government, and environmental planners continue establishing the healthy city environments. It is expected that the green map will be employed as a useful method for establishing healthy city and town through right way of use and contents.of use and contents.

국내 음식물쓰레기 온실가스 저감을 위한 선순환체계 구축 (Development of Sustainable Food Waste Management for Reducing Greenhouse Gases Emissions in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 음식물쓰레기 (food waste, FW) 분야에 대한 재활용 현황을 분석하고 green house gases (GHG) 배출 관리방안에 대해 고찰하였다. 연구 결과, FW의 자원 활용성을 향상시키고 GHG 배출을 부가적으로 저감시키기 위해서는 적절한 선순환체계가 필요하다는 결론을 얻었다. 효과적인 퇴비화를 위해서 우선 GW의 활용이 고려되었다. 특히 3세대 바이오매스로써의 GW (phytoplankton, periphyton, macrophyte etc.)는 퇴비화 공정에서 FW의 단점을 보완하고 질적 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 좋은 기능성 첨가제로 판단된다. 또 하나의 접근법은 최종산물 (예: 토양개량제)을 오염물질 완충이 가능한 bio-filter로 가공하여 그린인프라에 적용하는 방안이다. 이러한 생태공학적 접근과 시도는 안정화된 재활용 산물의 기존 활용 이외에도 FW 자원화에 대한 새로운 적용처를 제시할 수 있으므로 향후 효과적인 탄소 넷제로 (Net-Zero) 시스템 구축에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
