녹차가루 식이가 당뇨쥐의 혈당 및 혈중 지질 농도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Green Tea Powder Supplementation on Blood Glucose and Lipid Concentrations in Rats with Streptozotocin-induced Diabetes)

  • The study examined the effects of dietary green tea powder supplementation on blood glucose, and plasma and liver lipid concentrations in diabetic rats. Twenty-five male Sprague-Dawley rats (body weight $200{\pm}5\;g$) were divided into two groups (diabetic and non-diabetic), which were each randomly divided into two subgroups that were fed a control and 1% green tea powder-supplemented diet. Serum and liver lipid concentrations were measured by established techniques. Low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) was calculated from an established equation. Body weight gain and feed efficiency ratio were lower in diabetic rats than in non-diabetic rats regardless of diet. There were no differences in weight gain in diabetic and non-diabetic rats consuming the control and green tea powder-supplemented diets. The levels of fasting plasma glucose, serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-C and atherogenic index of diabetic rats were significantly higher than that of non-diabetic rats. Conversely, the levels of high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) of diabetic rats was significantly lower than that of non-diabetic rats. Fasting plasma glucose, serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-C and atherogenic index were significantly lower in diabetic rats fed the green tea powder diet than in rats fed the control diet, and HDL-C was significantly higher in rats fed the green tea powder diet than in rats fed the control diet. The content of liver total cholesterol and triglyceride of diabetic rats were significantly higher than that of non-diabetic rats. Liver total cholesterol and triglyceride were significantly lower in diabetic rats fed green tea powder-supplemented diet than in rats fed the control diet. It is concluded that green tea powder supplementation positively influences blood glucose and lipid metabolism in diabetic rats. The present study, although not directly applicable to humans, may have some implications for individuals who habitually consume green tea powder.

하품녹차 열수추출물이 흰쥐의 지질대사 및 칼슘흡수에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Late-harvested Green Tea Extract on Lipid Metabolism and Ca Absorption in Rats)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of late-harvested green tea extract on serum and tissue lipid contents and Ca absorption. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 200g were fed high fit diets containing no tea(control), 0.5%(0.5LG), 1.0% late-harvested green tea extract(1.0LG), and 1.0% early-harvested green tea extract(1.0EG) for 4 weeks. Though daily food intake of experimental groups showed no significant difference from that of control group, daily body weight gain and food efficiency ratio were lower in all groups fed green tea extract. The contents of serum triglyceride of 1.0LG and 1.0EG groups and the content of serum total cholesterol of 1.0LG group were significantly lower than those of control group. The values of serum HDL-cholesterol in groups fed green tea extract were higher than that in the control group. LDL-cholesterol and atherogenic indices of all groups fed green tea extract were significantly lower than those of the control group. The contents of total lipid and triglyceride in liver were significantly lower in only 1.0LG group. For epididymal fit pad, the contents of total lipid and triglyceride in 1.0LG and 1.0EG groups were lower than those in the control group. The contents of total lipid excreted in feces were higher in groups fed diets of 1.0% green tea extract. There was no significant difference among experimental groups in Ca absorption. These results suggest that the administration of late-harvested green tea extract decreases the contents of fat in the body without reducing Ca absorption.   • A ceramic vacuum chamber feedthrough ceramic insulator is made of Al2O3; the manufacturing process involves filling alumina powder into a urethane mold and pressing it with a rubber press to produce a molded body. Thereafter, manufacturing is completed through primary shape processing, sintering, and secondary shape processing in the green body, which is a pressurized molding body, This work is intended to prevent defects in the first shape processing by improving the ceramic insulator in the green body, and to improve the productivity of the ceramic insulator by determining the optimal processing conditions.

녹차의 항-당뇨 효과에 대한 메타회귀분석 (Meta-regression analysis for anti-diabetic effect of green tea)

  • 본 연구는 메타분석을 이용하여 녹차를 투여한 당뇨 유발 쥐들의 체중과 혈액 내 혈당량, 총 콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 고농도지단백 콜레스테롤의 평균비교를 통해 녹차의 항-당뇨 효과에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 헤지의 표준화된 평균차에서 고정효과모형을 적용한 결과 체중은 통계적으로 유의한 증가를 보였으며, 혈액 내 혈당량과 중성지방은 통계적으로 유의한 감소를 보였다. 동질성 검정을 통해 이질성을 보인 모든 변수에 대해 랜덤효과모형을 적용시킨 결과 체중은 유의한 증가를 보였으며, 혈액 내 혈당량은 유의한 감소를 보였다. 또한 녹차의 투여기간이 변수에 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 메타회귀분석을 실시한 결과 모든 변수에 대해 녹차의 투여기간이 유의하지 않았다.

녹색광 밝기에 따른 심리·생리(심박변이) 반응 및 영향 분석 (Analysis of Psychological, Physiological(Heart Rate Variability) Response & Influence Consequent on Green Light Brightness)

  • This study compared the effect of green light consequent on maximum brightness 85 lx and intial brightness 15 lx, and its accompanying psychological, physiological response. 1) As a result of psychology(general stress evaluation, Symptom Checklist-90-Revision) evaluation, all stress evaluation items mostly showed a decrease, and they are comparatively positively evaluated in minimum brightness 15 lx comparing to maximum brightness 85 lx. 2) Physiological (Heart Rate Variability) evaluation result was included in stable range in all cardiovascular system variables after light stimulus in time of comparison with the standard range; in addition, the Heart Rate Variability evaluation result was found to be stable in all cardiovascular system variables except Low Frequency in minimum brightness 15 lx comparing to maximum brightness 85 lx. 3) Green light was found not to appear as a stimulating factor in the human body in time of space projection, being found to be effective in stability of mind and body, and reduction in stress. Thus, it was found that green light functioned as an emotional, relaxing tranquilizer by working on the sympathetic nervous system.

  • A three-dimensional time-domain calculation method is of crucial importance in prediction of the motions and wave loads of a ship advancing in a severe irregular sea. The exact solution of the free surface wave-ship interaction problem is very complicated because of the essentially nonlinear boundary conditions. In this paper, an approximate body nonlinear approach based on the three-dimensional time-domain forward-speed free-surface Green function has been presented. The Froude-Krylov force and the hydrostatic restoring force are calculated over the instantaneous wetted surface of the ship while the forces due to the radiation and scattering potentials over the mean wetted surface. The time-domain radiation and scattering potentials have been obtained from a time invariant kernel of integral equations for the potentials which are discretized according to the second-order boundary element method (Hong and Hong 2008). The diffraction impulse-response functions of the Wigley seakeeping model advancing in transient head waves at various Froude numbers have been presented. A simulation of coupled heave-pitch motion of a long rectangular barge advancing in regular head waves of large amplitude has been carried out. Comparisons between the linear and the approximate body nonlinear numerical results of motions and wave loads of the barge at a nonzero Froude number have been made.

RGB 컬러모델에서 자외선 조명하 박락태(剝落苔)의 설태와 설질 사이의 색 강도 차이에 관한 연구 (Comparison between Colour Intensity of Tongue Body and That of Tongue Coat under the Ultraviolet Light in RGB system of Peeling Tongue Coat Image)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to compare the colour intensity of tongue body and that of tongue coat under the visible light and the ultraviolet light. Methods: We selected 7 subjects with completely or partially peeled tongue coat among the recruited 94 adults for the experiment. We took each tongue picture under the visible light and the ultraviolet light (315-400 nm) and then extracted sample images from the tongue body and tongue coat regions. Mean, median and mode of colour intensity from the sample images were calculated in 256 RGB system. Results: The green and the blue colour intensities of the tongue coats were significantly higher than those of the tongue bodies under the visible light. In all channels, the red, green and blue, the colour intensities of the tongue coats were significantly higher than those of the tongue bodies under the ultraviolet light. The colour differences between tongue coats and tongue bodies under the ultraviolet light were significantly higher than the colour differences under the visible light. Especially the colour difference under the ultraviolet light was highest in the green channel. Conclusions: We suggested that green colour image of the RGB system taken under the ultraviolet light could be used for more easy separating tongue coat region from tongue body.

LED광원이 큰느타리버섯 자실체의 발생, 생육, 에르고스테롤 함량 및 항산화활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of LED Light on Primordium Formation, Morphological Properties, Ergosterol Content and Antioxidant Activity of Fruit Body in Pleurotus eryngii)

  • LED광원에 대한 큰느타리버섯의 생육특성, 에르고스테롤 및 항산화활성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 원기형성기에 LED광원을 조사한 결과 청색광 및 적색광에서 원기가 형성되지 않았다. 초발이 이후 LED광원을 조사시 형광등과 청색광에서 다른 처리구 보다 갓의 크기는 커지며, 갓의 굵기가 굵어지는 경향이었다. 그러나 대의 길이는 형광등과 청색광에서 다른 처리구 보다 짧았다. 생육특성 중 상품수량은 청색광 및 녹색광에서 형광등과 대등하였다. DPPH는 청색광, 녹색광 및 주황색광에서 가장 높았고, 총폴리페놀함량은 LED 처리구 모두 형광등 처리구보다 높았으며, 에르고스테롤은 녹색광에서 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과 큰 느타리버섯의 고품질 버섯 생산을 위해서는 녹색광이 적합하였다.

전면벽체 강성에 따른 그린월 시스템의 안정성 평가 (Stability Evaluation of Green Wall System due to Facing Rigidity)

  • 그린월 공법은 독립식 콘크리트 보형식의 옹벽으로, 전, 후면 가로보와 세로 방향으로 버팀보를 연속적으로 쌓아 올려 내부에 다짐성토를 시행함으로써 구조체가 일체 거동하도록 강성벽체(rigid body)를 형성시키는 옹벽 구조물이다. 최근의 그린월공사는 원지반 절취량을 최소화 할 수 있다는 장점으로 절토 공사현장에 다양하게 적용되고 있으며, 주로 앵커 및 쏘일네일 등과 함께 시공하는 추세이다. 이처럼 그린월과 함께 쏘일네일이 시공되는 경우에는 전면벽체의 강성이 크기 때문에 연성전면벽체의 경우 보다 전체 시스템의 안정성 증대가 예상되나 실제 설계에서는 이를 반영하지 않고 쏘일네일만 설계하므로 비경제적인 요소가 많은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 그린월과 같은 강성전면벽체와 쏘일네일 공법이 함께 시공되는 경우에 대하여 강성전면벽체로 인한 전체 시스템의 안정성 증대효과를 평가해 보았다. 본 연구에서는 전면벽체의 강성변화에 따른 전체 시스템의 안정성 증대효과를 평가하기 위하여 실내모형실험을 수행하였으며, 한계평형해석을 시행하여 그린월과 같은 전면벽체의 강성이 전체 활동에 대한 안전율에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다.

Effect of Green Tea By-product on Performance and Body Composition in Broiler Chicks

  • This experiment was conducted to determine the optimum level of green tea by-product (GTB) in diets without antibiotics and to evaluate its effect on broiler performances. A total of 140 Ross broilers were kept in battery cages for a period of 6 weeks. Dietary treatments used in this experiment were antibiotic free group (basal diet as a control), antibiotic added group (basal+0.05% chlortetracycline), GTB 0.5% (basal+GTB 0.5%), GTB 1% (basal+GTB 1%) and GTB 2% (basal+GTB 2%). Antibiotic added group showed significantly higher body weight gain than other treatments (p<0.05). However, no significant differences were observed in feed intake and feed efficiency among treatments (p>0.05). The addition of green tea by-product to diets tended to decrease blood LDL cholesterol content compared to control group although there were no significant differences among treatments (p>0.05). Addition of green tea by-product increased docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in blood plasma and tended to decrease cholesterol content in chicken meat, but a significant difference was not observed (p>0.05). The values of TBA in chicken meat decreased in groups fed diets with green tea-by product and antibiotics compared to control group (p<0.05). The crude protein content in chicken meat was decreased slightly in treatments with green tea by-product and antibiotics supplementation. The abdominal fat was increased in chickens fed with diets with green tea by-product compared to the control (p<0.05).
