Effects of Package Materials on Quality Change of Pine Bud Beverage Under Ultraviolet Light

  • The effects of packaging materials on preserving the functional component of pine bud beverage stored under UV (ultraviolet) light exposure conditions were studied. The order of UV light blocking properties of the selected packages was: opaque can> opaque PET (polyethylene terepthalate) with green lamination=transparent PET with 10% PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) blending> transparent PET, and did not depend on film thickness in specified range. At 20${^{\circ}C}$, the order of preserving degree of original color and endobornyl acetate, which is quality index of pine bud beverage, was the same as above. Exposure to UV light can cause of deterioration of functional food components, but green color lamination and blending of PEN materials with transparent PET help to preserve the UV sensitive pine bud beverage components. However, the treated PET bottles have poorer preservation capabilities than the opaque cans. Transparent PET with PEN blending, in particular, will be very useful packaging material for colorful functional beverage preservation by helping to protect the ingredients while attracting consumer attention.

  • Recent electronic equipment becomes smaller, more functional, and more complex. According to these trends, LTCC(low temperature co-fired ceramic) has been emerged as a promising technology in packaging industry. It consists of multi-layer ceramic sheet, and the circuit has 3D structure. In this technology via hole formation plays an important role because it provides an electric path for the packaging interconnection network. Therefore via hole quality is very important for ensuring performance of LTCC product. Via holes are formed on the green sheet that consists of ceramic(before sintering) layer and PET(polyethylene Terephthalate) one. In this paper we found the correlation between hole quality and process condition such as ceramic thickness, and tool size. The shear behavior of double layer sheet by micro hole punching which is different from that of single layer one was also discussed.

  • 환경부가 주최하고 (사)한국환경포장진흥원이 주관하는 제3회 그린패키징 공모전 시상식이 12월 9일 엘타워 엘하우스홀에서 열렸다. 그린패키징 공모전은 우수한 친환경 포장기술 및 디자인을 발굴, 시상함으로써 친환경 포장에 대한 인식 및 관심을 제고하여 관련 학생 및 종사자들의 사기진작과 기술개발 의욕을 고취시킨다는 목적 아래 금번 제3회를 맞고 있다. 특히 친환경 포장과 관련한 신기술 개발을 촉진함으로써 자원 절약과 녹색 성장에 기여한다는 취지를 갖고 있다. 제3회 그린패키징 공모전에서는 일반 부문 10개 업체 16점이 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 학생부문에서도 5개교 12점이 수상했다. 본 고에서는 제3회 그린패키징 공모전 수상작들을 살펴보도록 한다.

  • 한국환경포장진흥원이 친환경적인 포장기술 및 디자인 개발을 적극 장려하기 위해 환경부와 공동 주최하고 정산장학재단이 후원한 '제2회 그린패키징 공모전(Korea Green packaging contest)'의 시상식이 구랍 10일 서울 양재동 엘 타워(EL Tower)에서 성대하게 개최됐다. 이날 행사에서는 일반 부분 대상에 (주)팬택, (주)오리온, 소프트팩(주)이 수상의 영예를 안은 것을 비롯, 총 25개 작품이 수상작품으로 선정됐다. 이 가운데, 20여년간 연포장 업계에 종사해 온 경험을 바탕으로 친환경 포장에 관심을 갖고 그린패키징 개발에 주력해 온 소프트팩(주) 유하경 대표이사를 만나, 수상 소감 및 친환경 패키징에 대한 견해를 들어보았다.

Estimation of the Flavor of Green Soybean during Storage from Single Pod Measurements using Dedicated Near-Infrared Transmission Spectrometer

  • Purpose: Green soybeans (edamame) are now an economically important and popular food product in Japan. In order to shorten breeding time and to decide an optimal harvest time, we have been developing a dedicated NIRT spectrometer since 2004 for the determination of constituent content such as sucrose and free amino acids, which are two major contributors to the eating quality, in a single pod green soybean. Methods: The obtained models showed that the developed NIRT instrument had reasonable accuracy for the determination of these two components. Then we carried out the investigation into the change in two components during a few days storage using these models with changing time, variety/cultivar, packaging and temperature. Results: The result showed that the most affecting factor on decreasing both sucrose content and free amino acids was variety/cultivar. The time, packaging and temperature also affected significantly in most cases.

A Study on Tungsten Paste for Metallization and Cofiring of an Alumina Green Sheet (Alumina Green Sheet의 동시소성용 텅스텐 페이스트 제조 및 금속 접합에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에선 주어진 조성의 알루미나 green sheet에 대하여 텅스텐의 입경 및 산화 물의 조성을 변화시키므로써 수축률을 제어하여 camber를최소화하여 결합강도를 최대로 하 는 텅스텐 페스트조성을 찾아내는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 실험에서 사용한 텅스텐 분말 의 입경은 0.35$\mu$m, 0.6$\mu$m, 0.72$\mu$m, $1.5\mu$m, 1.9$\mu$m, 3.2$\mu$m이며 frit는 Al2O3, MgO, SiO2 와 Al2O3, CaO, SiO2를 사용하여 각각의 조성에 따라 함량을 변화시키며 실험하였다. 소성 은 154$0^{\circ}C$로 습윤 수소분위기에서 시행하였으며 사용된 알루미나 green sheet의 알루미나 중심 입경은 2.8$\mu$m이었다. 분석은 주사전자 현미경으로 미세구조를 관찰하였고 EPMA Line Profile로 원소 분석을 하였으며 잔류응력을 측정하기 위하여 XRD분석을 하였다. Frit 을 함유하지 않은 경우 텅스텐 분말의 입경이 1.9$\mu$mdlfEo 최대 접합 강도를 나타내었다. Frit을 함유한 경우 Mgo계 frit조성에서는 MgO/Al2O3/SiO3=1/1/1일 때 CaO계 frot 조성에 서는 CaO/Al2O3/SiO2=1/2/1일 때 최대 접합 강도를 나타내었다. Frit 함량을 변화시킨 경우 MgO계는 10wt%함유하였을 때 CaO 계는 5wt%함유하였을 때 최대 접합강도를 나타내었 다. Frit 함량을 변화시킨 경우 MgO계는 10wt%함유하였을 때, CaOr계는 5wt%함유하였을 때 최대 접합강도를 나타내었다.

Respiratory Characteristics and Quality Attributes of Mature-Green Mume (Prunus mume Sieb. et Zucc) Fruits as Influenced by MAP Conditions (포장조건에 따른 청매실의 호흡생리 및 선도유지 특성)

  • The respiratory characteristics and quality attributes of mature green mume fruits as influenced by modified atmosphere packaging(MAP) conditions during storage at 25oC for 8 days were investigated. The quality attributes of mume fruits were evaluated in terms of fresh weight loss, physiological injury and yellowing. The packaging materials used for MAP were low density polyethylene(LDPE) films with various different thicknesses. Yellowing and fresh weight loss of mume fruits were noticeably reduced by the packaging treatments with LDPE A and B. The physiological injury of the fruits during storage was found to be more severe in LDPE C than others. For LDPE A and B, the oxygen and carbon dioxide contents within the packages of Mume fruits maintained at the levels of 2~3% and 7~8%, respectively. With respect to visual quality, MAP prolonged the shelf life of the fruits much longer compared with the unsealed control. From the experimental results, it is suggested that the LDPE films with the gas trans mission rates of about 2,100 O2 ml/m2.day.atm and 6,700 CO2 ml/m2.day.atm would be proper for MAP of mature green mume fruits during storage at ambient temperature.

  • This paper proposes a green closed-loop supply chain network (GCSN) for optimizing closed-loop supply chains. The GCSN focuses on the application of the recycling express box in logistics circulation, accelerates the standardization of logistics operations and the use of express packaging in e-commerce companies, and promotes the reduction and greening of recycling express box in the e-commerce industry. The GCSN is represented as a mathematical formulation and implemented using LINGO. Greening, environmental protection, and wisdom are the general trends for promoting the growth of the e-commerce industry. Meanwhile, the price of raw materials has increased owing to a shortage of resources, which emphasizes the need for e-commerce enterprises to develop green packaging. Therefore, this study considers the shared circular packaging launched by e-commerce enterprises as the research object, and integrates the problem of facility positioning and path planning in the logistics system. The conclusion summarizes the significance of this study.
