  • Visual effects are important cues for providing occupant s with virtual reality in a vehicle simulator which imitates real driving. The viewpoint of an occupant is sensitively dependent upon the occupant´s posture, therefore, the total body motion must be considered in a graphic simulator. A real time simulation is required for the dynamic analysis of complex human body motion. This study attempts to apply a neural network to the motion analysis in various driving situations. A full car of medium-sized vehicles was selected and modeled, and then analyzed using ADAMS in such driving conditions as bump-pass and acceleration. A multibody system analysis software, MADYMO, was used in the motion analysis of an adult male dummy in the seated position.   • In this paper, we propose a remote controller for robot manipulator using local area network(LAN) and internet. To do this, we develope a server-client system as used in the network field. The client system is in any computer in remote place for the user to log-in the server and manage the remote factory. the server system is a computer which controls the manipulator and waits for a access from client. The server system consists of several control algorithms which is needed to drive the manipulator and networking system to transfer images that shows states of the work place, and to receive a Tmp data to run the manipulator. The client system consists of 3D(dimension) graphic user interface for teaching and off-line task like simulation, external hardware interface which makes it easier for the user to teach. Using this server-client system, the user who is on remote place can edit the work schedule of manipulator, then run the machine after it is transferred and monitor the results of the task.

  • 한국전력공사 전력연구원에서는 최근 영광 #3·4, 보령 #3·4 및 고리 #2 등 원자력 시뮬레이터 2기, 화력 시뮬레이터 1기의 국산화 개발 사업에 착수하였다. 이번에 국산화 개발되는 시뮬레이터는 UNIX 운영체계(OS)를 사용하는 워크스테이션을 채택하므로서 기존의 시뮬레이터 전용 컴퓨터 시스템 사용에 따른 폐쇄성을 극복하게 되며, 발전소 계통 시뮬레이션 모델이 정교하고 사용자 편의성이 대폭 증가된 Graphic User Interface 개발을 그 특징으로 한다. 본 국산화 개발사업은 향후 5년간 단계적으로 진행될 예정인데, 삼성전자(주)를 주 계약자로 하고 미국의 537(Simulation, Systems & Services Tech. Co.)사와 기술제휴로 1단계에서는 영광 #3·4호기용 및 보령 #3·4호기용 시뮬레이터 개발을 통한 기술전수를, 2단계에서는 전수기술을 활용한 고리 #2 시뮬레이터 개발을 통해서 국산화 기술자립을 확보할 예정이다.

  • In this paper Vehicle driving simulator have been used in the development and modification of models. A real-time simulation system and washout algorithm for an excavator have been developed for a driving simulator with six degrees of freedom. An interesting question, "how the 6 DOF Driving Simulator can be controlled optimally for the various tasks?" is not easy to be answered. This paper presents the hardware and software developed for a driving simulator of construction vehicle. A simulator can reduce cost and time a variety of driving simulations in the laboratory. Using its 6 DOF Simulator can move in various modes, and perform dexterous tasks. Driving simulators have begun to proliferate in the automotive industry and the associated research community. This effort involves the real-time dynamic of wheel-type excavator the design and manufacturing of the Stewart platform an integrated control system of the platform and three-dimensional graphic modeling of the driving environments.

  • The purpose of this study is to test a multiple change point in the regression model with the passage of time, using the estimated residual variance figure suggested by Gasser, Sroka and Jennen - Steinmez (GSJS). As a result of the simulation, it is showed that there is a jump change of the estimated residual variance figure at that time of change point. The way to analyse a intuitive multiple change point through graphics is more effective and accurate than any other existing ways.

  • Dynamic culling scheme is usually implemented to handle overhead caused by rendering the massive large-scale terrain data in flight simulator. However, existing culling scheme without considering altitude is not suitable for flight simulator due to additional computational overhead. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose hybrid approach by applying two dynamic culling schemes depending on altitude. In addition, we remove unnessary computational overhead by creating different z-map resolution when aircraft changes its altitude. The proposed scheme is implemented with open graphic library and tested with real terrain data. Through the experimental results, we can recognize the improved rendering speed about 8 to 73 percents as compared to existing scheme.

  • The probability of visual perception occurrence varies in case the expectation of using each unit space of which the whole space consists because the size of space subject to analysis is very large or the organization is complicated in the analysis of spatial visual configuration. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate space analysis and index measurement by applying weight to the point of view for the probability of experiencing space. This study proposed a method of analyzing visibility ratio by applying the integration of space syntax theory as weight, and grasped the effect in comparison with the visibility ratio when weight was not applied.

  • A GUI based pre/post processor program, which is based on the MFC and OpenGL library in the Windows O/S, hee been developed for NUFLEX Using this program, users are able to generate and modify structured or unstructured grid geometries, set all the parameters for the solver, and observe the results of the simulation in graphic view by vector or scalar plots. The mesh geometry data can be imported from or exported to other programs by supporting functions for reading from and writing to CGNS data format files.

  • 시뮬레이션을 구현할 때 대부분의 경우 eventlist 라는 자료구조를 사용하여 사건(event)를 처리하고 시간을 스케쥴링(scheduling)한다. 그러나 eventlist를 사용하는 것은 객체 스스로가 사건을 처리하고 시간 스케쥴링을 하지 않는다는 점에서 객체지향적이지는 못하다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 객체 스스로가 상태를 가지며 사건을 처리하고 시간을 스케쥴링하는 전차대 전차, 전차대 헬기 교전을 위한 시뮬레이션을 설계 및 구현하였다. 설계는 상태변화를 쉽게 하고 시간 전진 문제를 쉽게 처리할 수 있는 Fa$\square$ade Pattern방법을 사용하였으며, 시간전진 방법은 상태변화에는 논리시간(logical time)을 이용한 이산사건(discrete event) 전진방법을 사용하였고 Graphic Visualization에는 실시간(real time)을 이용한 이산(discrete) 전진방법을 사용하여 논리시간과 실시간을 병렬로 동기화시켜 처리하였다. 구현은 Visual C++의 MFC 라이브러리를 사용한 MDI구조로 구현하였다. 논문의 시뮬레이션은 교전모델을 응용하였고 객체지향(Objected-Oriented)으로 설계 및 구현되어 각 객체의 재사용과 확장 및 수정이 용이하다는 장점을 가진다.

  • In this paper, an efficient algorithm for estimation volume and surface area and a reconstruction algorithm for 3-dimensional graphics are presented.In order to improve computing efficiency, the graph theory is utilized and the algorithm to obtain proper contour points is developed by considering several tolerances. Search for the contour points is limited by the change of curvature of cross sectional contour to provide efficiency in searching the minimum cost path. In computer simulation of these algorithms, the results show that, for the tolerance values of 1.001 and 1.002, the execution time reduced to 66%-80% and the error for the measured value is less than 3%. The reconstructed 3-dimensional images from the cross sections can be analyzed in many directions using the graphic scheme.
