  • POSCO has been developed a general purpose dynamic simulator of the hot strip steel mill. The simulator is a tool for developing the process control system in an industrial system solution business, by making the most use of control and simulation techniques fostered in steelmaking business. This simulator has, not only a powerful numerical analysis function, but an easy-to-use graphic user interface which readily enables to simulate dynamic system. This paper presents the features of the simulator and steel rolling process simulator as its application.

가상 tool의 조작을 통한 simulation 환경에서의 force display에 관한 연구

  • This paper describes the force display system which presents feel information to the operator through manipulating a virtual tool with a master arm in the simulated environment. The movement of a tool grasped by the operator, which is modeled as a circle or a square is displayed in the graphic screen of a computer. When the tool contacts with the virtual environment, the operator is forced to feel contact and the feature of the virtual environment through torque control of the master arm. Contact situations are modeled as close as to the reality considering the friction, and multiple contacts. Several experients are conducted and the effectiveness of the developed system is confirmed.

  • This paper deals with PC-based ship handling simulator, which is now widely utilized not only for total assessment of safety in harbour area but also for training purpose. The suitable mathematical model for low advance speed manoeuvre is treated with the effects of current, wind, wave, tug force and water depth. We adopt 3 dimensional graphic technique for perspective representation of relative ship motion. Some graphical panels on the screen are devised for data input/output or ship manoeuvring information. We show the real time simulation of berthing menoeuvre applied to Pusan harbour as an example.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System)은 위성에서 현재 시스템이 위치한 곳의 주위 지역을 2차원으로 표현해 주는 시스템이다. 이 시스템에서의 그래픽 표현은 비트맵 표현 방식으로 다량의 메모리를 사용하는 단점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 GPS의 다량의 메모리를 사용하는 단점을 보완하기 위하여 비트맵 표현 방식을 지양하고 벡터 표현 방식을 사용하는 SVG(Scalable Vector Graphic)를 이용하며 메모리 사용량을 감소시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 XML의 그래픽 표준안인 SVG에서는 2차원만을 표시하기 때문에 3차원 표현이 어려우나, ECMAScript를 사용하여 SVG의 단정인 3자원 표현의 어려움을 개선하는 방법에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents development of the program which calculates the electric quantities such as current, voltage at each element of railway electrification system in static state. The purpose of this program is to estimate the adequacy of railway electrification system through simulations. And it contributes the estimations for optimal railway electrification system by calculating the maximum current and voltage. The simulation program is coded through GUI(Graphic User Interface) technique for user to operate easily.

  • 이 연구는 3D 그래픽의 로프 시뮬레이션이나 3D 캐릭터의 포니테일 등 Joint들이 복잡하게 꼬이는 상황에서Joint들의 Up-Vector에 대해 이상적으로 꼬이지 않는(Twist-free) 회전을 계산하는 연구이다. 꼬이지 않는 방향은 이상적인 기준점이 될 수 있어서 Twist 연출에 다양한 응용을 할 수 있는 시발점이 된다.

  • Real picture like high quality computer graphic is widely used in various fields and shader processor, a key part of a graphic processor, has been advanced to programmable unified shader. However, The existing graphic processors have been optimized to commercial algorithms, so development of an algorithm which is not based on it requires an independent shader processor. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a control unit to support high quality 3 dimensional computer graphic image on programmable integrated shader processor. We have done evaluation through functional level simulation of designed control unit. Hardware resource usage rate are measured by implementing directly on FPGA Virtex-4 and execution speed are verified by applying ASIC library. the result of an evaluation shows that the control unit has the commands more about 1.5 times compared to the other shader processors that is a behavior similar to the control unit and with a number of processing units used in a shader processor, compared with the other processors, overall performance of the control unit is improved about 3.1 GFLOPS.

  • This courseware includes multimedia elements such as graphic, voice and provides simulation learning and animation learning environment. Therefore, a learner can have various learning opportunities, be encouraged learning motivation, and be improved learning outcome. The content of the implemented program in this thesis provides voice and text basically. In addition to simulation learning and animation learning are provided appropriately by the type of content. Specially by using simulation implemented from simple subjects to more complicate subjects, a learner can select the most appropriate learning course and learn the simulation step by step. Through this courseware, a learner can learn more easily and excitedly.

  • The net shape effects by the various vectors in underwater. Each particle of the net calculating the effect of all vectors augments an accuracy and reality. But, the time complexity becomes larger because of huge calculation. The previous techniques reduced a physics reality. And embodied the underwater virtual reality which augments visual reality with simulation. In this paper, parallel processing the particles, it embodied the simulation which is satisfied a physical reality and time reality. The parallel processing used the OpenMP, and the reality graphic expression used the OpenGL. The simulation which this paper Proposes will be the possibility becoming the fundamental data for a model analysis or a specialist system from game and marine field.
