The spectrum scarcity crisis has resulted in a shortage of resources for many emerging wireless services, and research on dynamic spectrum management has been used to solve this problem. Game theory can allocate resources to users in an economic way through market competition. In this paper, we propose a bidding game-based spectrum allocation mechanism in cognitive radio network. In our framework, primary networks provide heterogeneous wireless service and different numbers of channels, while secondary users have diverse bandwidth demands for transmission. Considering the features of traffic and QoS demands, we design a weighted interference graph-based grouping algorithm to divide users into several groups and construct the non-interference user-set in the first step. In the second step, we propose the dynamic bidding game-based spectrum allocation strategy; we analyze both buyer's and seller's revenue and determine the best allocation strategy. We also prove that our mechanism can achieve balanced pricing schema in competition. Theoretical and simulation results show that our strategy provides a feasible solution to improve spectrum utilization, can maximize overall utility and guarantee users' individual rationality.

Recently, there have been fast-growing social network services based on the Internet environment and web technology development, the prevalence of smartphones, etc. Social networks also allow the users to convey the information and news so that they have a great influence on the public opinion formed by social interaction among users as well as the spread of information. On the other hand, these social networks also serve as perfect environments for rampant malware. Malware is rapidly being spread because relationships are formed on trust among the users. In this paper, an effective patch strategy is proposed to deal with malicious worms based on social networks. A graph is formed to analyze the structure of a social network, and subgroups are formed in the graph for the distributed patch strategy. The weighted directions and activities between the nodes are taken into account to select reliable key nodes from the generated subgroups, and the Incremental PageRanking algorithm reflecting dynamic social network features (addition/deletion of users and links) is used for deriving the high influential key nodes. With the patch based on the derived key nodes, the proposed method can prevent worms from spreading over social networks.

This paper proposes a novel channel assignment scheme called multi-cluster based dynamic channel assignment (MC-DCA) to improve system performance for the downlink of dense femtocell networks (DFNs) based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) and frequency division duplexing (FDD). In order to dynamically assign channels for femtocell access points (FAPs), the MC-DCA scheme uses a heuristic method that consists of two steps: one is a multiple cluster assignment step to group FAPs using graph coloring algorithm with some extensions, while the other is a dynamic subchannel assignment step to allocate subchannels for maximizing the system capacity. Through simulations, we first find optimum parameters of the multiple FAP clustering to maximize the system capacity and then evaluate system performance in terms of the mean FAP capacity, unsatisfied femtocell user equipment (FUE) probability, and mean FAP power consumption for data transmission based on a given FUE traffic load. As a result, the MC-DCA scheme outperforms other schemes in two different DFN environments for commercial and office buildings.
The use of protein interaction data is highly reliable for predicting functions to proteins without function in proteomics study. The computational studies on protein function prediction are mostly based on the concept of guilt-by-association and utilize large-scale interaction map from revealed protein-protein interaction data. This study compares graph-based approaches such as neighbor-counting and $\chi^2-statistics$ methods using protein-protein interaction data and proposes an approach that is effective in analyzing large-scale protein interaction data. The proposed approach is also based protein interaction map but sequence similarity and heuristic knowledge to make prediction results more reliable. The test result of the proposed approach is given for KDD Cup 2001 competition data along with those of neighbor-counting and $\chi^2-statistics$ methods.
In the mine exploitation stage; one of the critical issues is the stability assessment of post-pillars. The instability of post-pillars leads to serious safety hazards in mining operations. The focus of this study is to assess the stability of post-pillars in the 130# stope in the central ore body at Trepça hard rock mine by employing both conventional (i.e., critical span curve) and numerical methods (i.e., FLAC3D). Moreover, a new numerical based index (i.e., Pillar Yield Ratio-PYR) was proposed. The aim of PYR index is to determine a border line between stable, potentially unstable, and failure state of post-pillars at a specific mine site. The critical value of pillar width to height ratio is 2.5 for deep production stopes (e.g., > 800 m). Results showed that pillar size, mining height and mining depth significantly have affected the post-pillar stability. The reliability of numerical based index (i.e., PYR) is verified based on empirical underground pillar stability graph developed by Lunder, 1994. The proposed pillar yield ratio index and pillar stability graph can be used as a design tool in new mining areas at Trepça hard rock mine and for other situations with similar geotechnical conditions.
Multiple AMRs have been proved to be effective in improving warehouse productivity by eliminating workers' wasteful walking time. Although Multi-agent Path Finding (MAPF)-based solution is an optimal approach for this task, its deployment in practice is challenging mainly due to its imperfect plan-execution capabilities and insufficient computing resources for high-density environments. In this paper, we present a MAPF-based fleet management system architecture that robustly manages multiple robots by re-computing their paths whenever it is necessary. To achieve this, we defined four events that trigger our MAPF solver framework to generate new paths. These paths are then delivered to each AMR through ROS2 message topic. We also optimized a graph structure that effectively captures spatial information of the warehouse. By using this graph structure we can reduce computational burden while keeping its rescheduling functionality. With proposed MAPF-based fleet management system, we can control AMRs without collision or deadlock. We applied our fleet management system to the real logistics warehouse with 10 AMRs and observed that it works without a problem. We also present the usage statistic of adopting AMRs with proposed fleet management system to the warehouse. We show that it is useful over 25% of daily working time.

The generalized Voronoi graph (GVG) is a topological map of a constrained environment. This is defined in terms of workspace distance measurements using only sensor-provided information, with a robot having a maximum distance from obstacles, and is the optimum for exploration and obstacle avoidance. This is the safest path for the robot, and is very significant when studying the GVG edges of highly articulated robots. In previous work, the point-GVG edge and Rod-GVG were built with point robot and rod robot using sensor-based control. An attempt was made to use a higher degree of freedom robot to build GVG edges. This paper presents GVG-based a new local roadmap for the two-link robot in the constrained two-dimensional environment. This new local roadmap is called the two-identical-link generalized Voronoi graph (L2-GVG). This is used to explore an unknown planar workspace and build a local roadmap in an unknown configuration space $R^2{\times}T^2$ for a planar two-identical-link robot. The two-identical-link GVG also can be constructed using only sensor-provided information. These results show the more complex properties of two-link-GVG, which are very different from point-GVG and rod-GVG. Furthermore, this approach draws on the experience of other highly articulated robots.
Wireless sensor networks are closely related with the geometric environment in which they are deployed. We consider the probable case when a routing protocol runs on an environment with many complex obstacles like downtown surroundings. In addition, there are no unrealistic assumptions in order to increase practicality of the protocol. Our goal is to find a routing protocol for maximizing network lifetime by using only connectivity information in the complex sensor network environment. We propose a topology-based routing algorithm that accomplishes good performance in terms of network lifetime and routing complexity as measures. Our routing algorithm makes routing decision based on a weighted graph as topological abstraction of the complex network. The graph conduces to lifetime enhancement by giving alternative paths, distributing the skewed burden. An energy estimation method is used so as to maintain routing information without any additional cost. We show how our approach can be used to maximize network lifetime and by extensive simulation we prove that out approach gives good results in terms of both measures-network lifetime and routing complexity.
As the role of online reviews has become increasingly crucial, numerous studies have been conducted to utilize helpful reviews. Helpful reviews, perceived by customers, have been verified in various research studies to be influenced by factors such as ratings, review length, review content, and so on. The determination of a review's helpfulness is generally based on the number of 'helpful' votes from consumers, with more 'helpful' votes considered to have a more significant impact on consumers' purchasing decisions. However, recently written reviews that have not been exposed to many customers may have relatively few 'helpful' votes and may lack 'helpful' votes altogether due to a lack of participation. Therefore, rather than relying on the number of 'helpful' votes to assess the helpfulness of reviews, we aim to classify them based on review content. In addition, the text of the review emerges as the most influential factor in review helpfulness. This study employs text mining techniques, including topic modeling and sentiment analysis, to analyze the diverse impacts of content and emotions embedded in the review text. In this study, we propose a review helpfulness prediction model based on review content, utilizing movie reviews from IMDb, a global movie information site. We construct a review helpfulness prediction model by using an explainable Graph Neural Network (GNN), while addressing the interpretability limitations of the machine learning model. The explainable graph neural network is expected to provide more reliable information about helpful or non-helpful reviews as it can identify connections between reviews.
In this paper, we propose a query expansion method based on word graphs using pseudo-relevant and pseudo non-relevant documents to achieve performance improvement in information retrieval. The initially retrieved documents are classified into a core cluster when a document includes core query terms extracted by query term combinations and the degree of query term proximity. Otherwise, documents are classified into a non-core cluster. The documents that belong to a core query cluster can be seen as pseudo-relevant documents, and the documents that belong to a non-core cluster can be seen as pseudo non-relevant documents. Each cluster is represented as a graph which has nodes and edges. Each node represents a term and each edge represents proximity between the term and a query term. The term weight is calculated by subtracting the term weight in the non-core cluster graph from the term weight in the core cluster graph. It means that a term with a high weight in a non-core cluster graph should not be considered as an expanded term. Expansion terms are selected according to the term weights. Experimental results on TREC WT10g test collection show that the proposed method achieves 9.4% improvement over the language model in mean average precision.
