This study aims at analyzing the web sites for 2020 art college graduation exhibitions to derive implications that should be considered for future online exhibitions. Fifteen web sites for graduation exhibitions of domestic visual design majors will be selected to analyze the usability of the web sites in the stages of arrival-search-appreciation-communication. The spread of online exhibitions accelerated by the coronavirus pandemic presents issues that were not covered in offline exhibitions. Based on the commonalities and peculiarities of graduation exhibitions by college, implications for mature and rational graduation exhibitions will be suggested.

As the competitiveness of university education and the demand for innovation have increased, a flexible educational system considering the characteristics of universities has become necessary. In particular, in the case of K-university, the intensive semester of Graduation Design, which dramatically improves the educational purpose, content, evaluation, and operation method of the graduate design subject, in order to cultivate a creative engineer capable of actively responding to technological change and solving practical problems. K University's intensive semester of graduation design was operated in two majors in the first semester in 2018, and three majors in the first semester in 2019. A result of survey on the status and effectiveness of intensive semester of graduation design was conducted for participating instructors and students, it was shown that the purpose of introducing intensive semester of graduation design, such as improving the instruction time, the quality of the graduation work and cultivating the competency of the student, was effective.

We studied the perceived creative ability, convergent thinking and creative leadership related to converged capabilities among students who participated in the capstone design and graduation works and those who did not participate. In creative ability, students who participated capstone design and graduation works need more curriculum and non-curriculum activities for the idea generation through the understanding of various majors, but overall, they achieved higher positive results than the nonparticipating students. For creative leadership and convergent thinking, students with capstone design and graduation works showed a more positive capabilities, while students with nonparticipating students showed a slightly lack of creative thinking of higher order thinking, the logical analysis of complex phenomena, and overall understanding.

This study purposed to examine how the window display of flower shops affects consumers' buying desire, and for this purpose, we surveyed flower buying customers' interest in window display according to their gender, age, and occupation. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire with flower shop customers in Seoul, Daegu, and Gyeongju. Interest in window display was over 1.5 times higher in women than in men. Among criteria for choosing a flower shop, window display was more important than other factors. With regard to experience of being stopped by unique window display, many of the respondents replied that they had such an experience, and the frequency was higher among women than among men. Among different types of window display, theme-type window display was most effective m stimulating customers' curiosity and buying desire. According to occupation, housewives showed particularly high interest in window display. The results of this study show that the window display of flower shops has a significant effect on consumers' buying desire.

In general, design education related to transportation has been recognized as a department specialized in transportation design or as an area of detailed transportation majors within industrial design majors. However, as technological, social, and environmental factors change, the concept of mobility and the ecosystem related to the mobility industry are diversifying, and accordingly, the category of mobility-related design is expanding further. Based on this background, this study is not a mobility design major, but it aims to find implications by analyzing the trend and type of topic selection related to the mobility ecosystem among the last five years of graduation design topics conducted in the design engineering major. As a result of the study, of a total of 131 graduation design works conducted over the past five years, about 30 works were highly related to mobility, and their types were very diverse. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the change and expansion of the mobility ecosystem expanding from products to services and systems were also reflected in the selection of graduation works in that various topics approached from user-centered and user experience were proposed and made into works.

High glossy painting and UV lithographic painting as painting methods for wooden furniture have played a positive role in enhancing the diversity of furniture design, which has been proved by the analysis on the relationship between the change in the diversity of design and painting methods of graduation projects (wooden furniture) presented by graduates of local universities, as a focus of this article. Since the development of new painting methods has the potential to develop aesthetic characteristics of wooden furniture, many design experiments are needed to improve decorative features of furniture, such as the application of high glossy painting and UV lithographic painting.

The purpose of this study is to share the experience of online education with departments related to the servic industry, such as distribution and logistics, in the New Normal Age of COVID-19 pandemics. The graduation presentation project, which is the capstone design subject and the most urgent subject for face-to-face classes, was selected as the online education subject of this study. The results of this study are as follows : First, several online class tools, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, have also been shown to be applicable to capstone design subjects such as graduation presentation projects. Second, it is essential to reorganize the curriculum to enhance students' ability to practice and utilize online contents. Third, continuous education and training are needed to make easy use of the aforementioned online teaching tools. Meanwhile, fourth, further research is needed to solve the learning effects caused by online learning, and difficulties in communication.

In this paper, the proceedings and core procedures that involved the role of advisor to the theme, the set up rule of students, and complete the work steps involved in configuring graduate work that the overall design curriculum and graduation standards are summarized. The one or two students are designated as one team, and by the designated professor was conducted a discussion and technical guidance. Among various topics from 2011 to 2015, some specific results configured using a small drone and smartphones are presented. The survey are compared the activity results for the participating students in one major each in 2011 and 2015 and analyzed. Based on this review for improvement next year notes, it forms a continuous improvement, and has converged talents with passion and challenging spirit, sharing a plan to form a virtuous cycle that is associated with positive employment and entrepreneurship.

An intelligent deburring control (IDC) device is used to control the constant force for a deburring tool mounted on the end-effector of a robotic arm. This device maintains a constant contact force between the deburring tool and the workpiece in order to provide a good deburring performance. In this paper, we build a mathematical model in Matlab/Simulink to estimate the force control mechanism of the pneumatic system for the IDC device. The Simulink blocks are built for each separate part and are linked into an integrated simulation system. Such a model also relies on the effects of the flow rate through the valve, air compressibility in the cylinder, and time delay in the pressure valve. The results of the simulation are compared to a simple experiment in which convenient math modeling is performed. These results are then used to optimize the mechanical design and to develop a force control algorithm for the pneumatic cylinder.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the current states of interior design as a major at vocational high schools and to suggest ways in which it can be improved. Three hundred and four students and twelve teachers of two vocational high schools comprised the sample population for this study. Data was collected using two methods, questionnaires and interviews. Frequency distribution, mean, and chi-square tests were used to analyze the data. The findings of this study are as follows: The student respondents were more interested in studying residential design, furniture design and making, drafting and perspective drawing than other areas of study. Most teachers had difficulties teaching the subject of residential design because they were not well educated with this area. Surprisingly most students hoped to extend their education to a university or college after graduation, not to enter the workforce. According to teachers'responses, almost ninety percentage of students entered university or college. And more than two thirds of the students desired to study an interior design related major at the university level. Among graduates having jobs, half of them were working in interior design fields. If the students had to choose their jobs, they would work in interior design fields. The variables differentiating several related careers after graduation were school, grade, and sex. The students viewed interior design, interior coordination, and CAD related work as fields likely to enter upon graduating from vocational high schools; however, teachers viewed furniture making, interior accessorizing, and home fashion as fields more appropriate to the students'level of training. The teacher respondents criticized the textbooks in four categories; suitability with the students'level was average or below average; students'interest level and students'understanding level were average or above average; and whether the book was easy or difficult to be utilized for the purposes of teaching was also average or above average. The criticism was a little diverse depending on each book or each chapter. The teachers pointed out several problems using those books, such as insufficient examples or explanation, lack of coherence between some chapters, and an incompatibility with the allotted time frame in class. The merits of the textbooks varied such as a well organized structure, ability to generate students'interest. This study revealed that the strategy for improving the interior design major at vocational high schools should invoke, 1) dividing students into two groups-one to enter a university; the other to have jobs after graduation to focus their interests. 2) improving textbooks more appropriate to the students. 3) providing present teachers the opportunities for in-service training and hiring new teachers with credentials more suitable to educate students who desire to be interior designers.
