  • The concerns for entrepreneurship education has increased significantly in decades. Government asking to university to teach the entrepreneurship on the undergraduate and graduate level. Existing graduate-level entrepreneurship program is not enough for the reciprocal relationship among the subjects. This study review the university's entrepreneurship program in the domestic and abroad. We suggest the process and algorithm based education program which is The Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization.

Several Genes Expressed During Morphogenesis of Lentinus edodes(ImHyup-1)

  • Differential display of reverse transcription(DDRT)-PCR was conducted to have a profile of the differentially expressed genes during the formation of fruiting body of Lentinus edodes. The lines of L. edodes(ImHyup-1) employed were cultivated in the artificial blocks of sawdust, and the fruiting body was induced from the mycelia or the mass protruded from the brown surface of the sawdust blocks. RNAs were prepared from the four different developmental stages; mycelial, primordial, and stipes and pileus of fruiting body. The fragments of cDNA were synthesized from the combinations of the arbitrary primers and 3' one anchored Oligo-dT primer. Twelve combinations using the primers have been tested, and among them nineteen bands were identified as differentially expressed. Those genes were further analyzed by DNA sequencing and followed by homology search. Characterization of one clone was conducted as a preliminary data and more are under investigation.

Analysis on Team Interaction of Team size in Creative Engineering Design Activity (창의적 공학 설계 활동에서 팀 규모에 따른 팀 상호작용 분석)

  • This study is to analyze the team interaction in accordance with the team size. Thereby, it is to reveal the team size for the attainment of the effective team interaction and the specific goals to achieve the purpose of this study are as follows. Firstly, the frequency and percentage of team interaction in accordance with the team size are presented. Secondly, the statistical verification of the team interaction in the social emotional area is conducted. Thirdly, the statistical verification of the team interaction in the task area is conducted. In order to do this study, we explain the purpose of study, confidentiality, and withdrawal right were described and then 32 persons who agreed to participate were selected as the subjects for the study. After that, the autonomous organization of team was induced and a total of 8 teams were organized - 3 teams comprised of 3 members, 3 teams of 4 members, 1 team of 5 members, and 1 team of 6 members. Further, Bales' (1950) Interaction Process Analysis (IPA) was used in order to analyze the team interaction, and Mangold INTERACT was used as a coding program. The results of study are as follows. Firstly, the highest frequency of the team interaction showed up in the case of five or six members and the lowest in the case of 3 members. Secondly, a statistically significant difference in the social emotional (positive) area showed up in accordance with the team size and the team organizations of three or four members were effective. Thirdly, a statistically significant value in the answer area showed up in accordance with the team size and the team organizations of five or six members were effective.

  • IT technology based projects was conducted to implement education on producing creative ideas through on-line education and grasp thinking disposition of students in terms of creativity education efficiency. The differences in idea creation among students according to thinking dispositions were analyzed through qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation of project and its result was drawn. The purpose of this study was to help cultivate a man of ability who will make a great contribution to knowledge information society by proposing education model based on new method of teaching and learning.

Generalizability Analysis of Teaching Aptitude and Personality Test for Pre-service Engineering Teachers in a Graduate School of Education (교육대학원 예비공학교사의 교직 적성·인성 검사에서 일반화가능도 분석)

  • This study examined the fairness of the teaching aptitude and personality test assigned to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on measurement traits. For this study, we analyzed the teaching aptitude and personality test scores of 99 students enrolled in engineering education in a graduate school of education located in the Seoul metropolitan area from 2013 to 2017. The main results were as follows. First, the estimated variance due to residual was generally the highest, followed by nesting of items within domains, pre-service engineering teachers, interactions of pre-service engineering teachers with domains, domains, and occasions. Second, dependability coefficients were better indicators than Cronbach's because the latter may have been overestimated by applying the traditional reliability coefficient in inappropriate manners. Third, the teaching aptitude and personality test can be applied to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on empirical evidence considering dependability coefficients. Fourth, a total of 96 items from the original 210 items, with 2 occasions and 12 domains containing 8 items in each domain, were optimal measurement conditions to reach adequate degrees of reliability based on the total number of items. Finally, the results were discussed, the study limitations described and future research directions proposed.

The Conditions and Problems of Anti-Smoking Education Programs of Governmental Offices (전국 관청의 금연프로그램 실시 현황과 문제점)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the conditions and problems of anti-smoking education programs in government office for civil servants. A mail-in survey was carried out for the chief of the general affairs of 248 government offices. 1. There were 154 responses to the surveys. Only 34 governmental offices have carried out anti-smoking education programs for civil servants. 2. Only one office has a department to supervise and anti-smoking program. 17 offices have 1 worker and thirteen offices have no manpower to supervise anti-smoking program. 3. Only eight offices have budgeted for anti-smoking programs. The average budget was 3,750,000 Won. Expected budget for smoking cessation program was 7,500,000 Won. 4. 25 offices have an anti-smoking lecture program for civil servants. Only five offices have an anti-smoking counseling for smokers. 5. Only seven surveys responded that civil servants had a positive response to anti-smoking programs. 6. The most important problem of anti-smoking programs in governmental offices was the lack of concern of civil servants. Governmental offices have to provide the greatest administrative services and services concerning the quality of life for citizens. Anti-smoking education programs in governmental offices for civil servants was the beginning of an activity of the services concerning the quality of life for citizens. Governmental offices have to actively implement anti-smoking programs for civil servants.

A systematic review on on-line education in mathematics education: Focused on before and after COVID-19 (수학 교육에서의 온라인 교육에 대한 체계적 문헌 고찰: COVID19 전후를 중심으로)

  • On-line education in mathematics education changed in various aspects before and after COVID-19. This study conducted a systematic literature review of 98 academic papers on on-line education published from 2017 to 2023 in the field of mathematics education before and after COVID19. In particular, this study conducted content analysis to organize on the definitions of various similar terms related to online education. In addition, this study explored research trends on year, research subject, research method, on-line education type, and research topic by the pre-COVID-19, COVID-19, and post-COVID-19 era. Also, a comparative analysis was conducted on literatures on the effects of online education. As a result, first, it was confirmed that there is a need to organize the definitions of terms similar to online education. Also, the implications of identifying the differences and hierarchies between each term can be found. Second, it was confirmed that teachers' expertise for on-line mathematics education was emphasized based on the result of the rapid increase in the number of on-line education studies on teachers since COVID-19. Third, it was confirmed that the number of studies on blended and flipped learning was high in pre-COVID-19, but decreased in the COVID-19 era. Instead, in the COVID-19 era, studies on real-time interactive classes were rapidly active, and even in the post-COVID-19 era, studies on real-time interactive classes still occupied a large proportion. Finally, it was confirmed that the effectiveness of on-line education varies depending on the research background and model. Accordingly, the need to be cautious in interpreting the results of each study on the effectiveness of on-line education was confirmed. Based on these findings, this study presented implications for future research on on-line education in mathematics education.

The Differences of Basic Psychological Needs by Interest-Major Congruence and Major Adjustment in Engineering Sophomore year of University (흥미-전공일치도와 전공적응 수준에 따른 기본심리욕구의 차이: 공학계열 2학년 대학생을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to explore the major adjustment factors in undergraduates by investigating the characteristics of group which doesn't correspond to Holland's congruence assumption. For this study, 313 sophomore year undergraduates in engineering were surveyed. The results of this study showed as follows. First, the group which doesn't correspond to Holland's congruence assumption represented 16.6% of all. Second, there were significant differences of basic psychological needs among four groups by interest-major congruence and major adjustment. These findings imply that major selection in congruence with interest is not critical and we should also consider basic psychological needs(autonomy, competence, relatedness) for engineering major adjustment.
