Using the second year data of the Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) elementary 4 panel, this study attempted to elucidate variables related to elementary school 5th graders' life satisfaction and how the variables are clustered in each gender. Analyzing the data of 2378 5th graders (boys 1180, girls 1084) indicated that variables related to their life satisfaction were self-esteem, parenting style, peer attachment, grade satisfaction, and school adjustment. Both boys and girls were clustered into three clusters. The cluster 1 children indicated the highest degrees of self-esteem, peer attachment, grade satisfaction and school adjustment levels, and they perceived parenting style more positively than the children from the other clusters. The cluster 3 children showed the opposite trends to the cluster 1 children in each of the five variables and the cluster 2 showed middle levels in all of the variables. The characteristics of the three clusters were analyzed in terms of the differences of children's life satisfaction and explanatory variables of life satisfaction.
The purpose of His research was to investigate the effect of grandchildren's solidarity with their grandparents on their caring attitude for the elderly. The participants were 311 college students in Chollabuk-Do province. Such statistical methods as factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, t-Test, pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed for this research. The results showed that the solidarity with grandparents was significantly different according to the college grade, birth order, mother's and grandparents' educational levels, economic status of grandparent, relationship with parents, and grandparents' ages. It was also found that there were significant differences in the levels of grandchildren's caring attitude for the elderly according to the college grade, occupational status of mother, relationship with parent, parents' educational levels, and family atmosphere. Finally, multiple regression analysis results indicated that grandchildren's caring attitude for the elderly was significantly influenced by grandchildren's affectional and contact solidarity with grandparents, relationship with parent, and grandparents' economic status.
This study investigates 628 high school students' math dislike tendencies by their math achievement levels. The findings show that, firstly, as the sample students' math achievement level decreases, the number of dislike factors increase. Secondly, students' math dislike factors are differentiated by their math achievement levels. Math high achievers show high math disliking tendency by teacher factor. Middle achievers show high math disliking tendency by complex application and relation factors. Low achievers show high math disliking tendency by comprehension factor. Finally the math disliking factors affecting the level of math achievement are influenced by schools and grades that students' attend. While math disliking factors such as comprehension factor, teacher factor, affection factor are generally present among sample schools, exceptionally JS high school students(high achieving students) are only affected by mentality factor. In addition, mentality factor affects the second grade students only. The implications of the study argue that students' math disliking tendencies could be systematically reduced by paying attention to such dependent variables students' achievement levels, grade, school characteristics, and independent variables including teacher, application, mentality, comprehension, and affection.
In this study, the readability of the texts in the third and the sixth grade science textbooks developed under the 2007 revised science curriculum were analyzed in terms of word and sentence units. In the word unit analyses, the levels of the words in the texts were classified into four categories, 1st to 4th levels. In the sentence unit analyses, the sentences in the texts were classified either a simple sentence or compound/complex sentences, and the average length of the sentences was also calculated. The results indicated that more than 90 percents of the words in the 2007 revised science textbooks were classified as the 1st to the 3rd levels. However, both the kinds and the frequencies of the words in the 2007 revised science textbooks were increased in comparison of those in the 7th science textbooks. In particular, it was found that the increasement in the 3rd grade science textbook was noticeable. The ratio of the compound/complex sentences in the 2007 revised science textbooks were increased in comparison of those in the 7th science textbooks. The average length of the sentences in the 2007 revised science textbooks was also increased.
As a cross-sectional study, this study was aimed to investigate and compare the job efficiency and satisfaction of nurses according to the hospital grade. Survey was conducted by mail on June 2009, and the respondents were 1,016 nurses working in 15 hospitals which are 9 high-grade general hospitals and 6 general hospitals. The percent of nurses acknowledging their hospital grades is 34.5%, and that is 20.5% at high-grade general hospitals. As the result of review of studies, it is concluded that under the circumstance that differential rates are contracted to calculate fees for hospital services and copayment of patients are according to nursing grades and hospital grades, the degree of nurses' awareness of insurance fees impact on their performance like recording of care and prescription. In order to improve nurses' performance, they need to be educated about the national insurance fee system. In hospitals with higher nursing grade and more beds, the levels of nursing quality and faithfulnes and their job satisfaction were higher. Nurses' awareness of their hospital nursing grade was related to the quality of nursing but not the faithfulness. Nurses working in higher nursing-grade hospital are more self-respect and satisfied at their jobs, and their job efficiencies are not significantly different. The current nursing fees based on the proper number of nurses per beds of nursing units should be changed to be based on the amount of job per nurse by their nursing protocol, and the nurse staffing standard should be differentiated between nursing grades. As the aspect of nursing, 24-hours patient care, it is difficult to improve nurses' job satisfaction, and in the other hand, that tends to depend on their income level. In the current circumstance, comprehensive research is required to investigate the propriety of 25% of the inpatient fees as the nursing management charge.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose optimal hospitalization fees for nurse staffing levels and to improve the current nursing fee policy. Methods: A break-even analysis was used to evaluate the impact of a nursing fee policy on hospital's financial performance. Variables considered included the number of beds, bed occupancy rate, annual total patient days, hospitalization fees for nurse staffing levels, the initial annual nurses' salary, and the ratio of overhead costs to nursing labor costs. Data were collected as secondary data from annual reports of the Hospital Nursing Association and national health insurance. Results: The hospitalization fees according to nurse staffing levels in general hospitals are required to sustain or decrease in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7, and increase in grades 5 and 6. It is suggested that the range between grade 2 and 3 be sustained at the current level, the range between grade 4 and 5 be widen or merged into one, and the range between grade 6 and 7 be divided into several grades. Conclusion: Readjusting hospitalization fees for nurse staffing level will improve nurse-patient ratio and enhance the quality of nursing care in hospitals. Follow-up studies including tertiary hospitals and small hospitals are recommended.
Background: The prognostic value of the Ki67 expression level is yet unclear in breast cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between Ki67 expression levels and prognostic factors such as grade, Her2 and hormone receptor expression status in breast cancers. Materials and Methods: Clinical and pathological features of the patients with breast cancer were retreived from the hospital records. Results: In this study, 163 patients with breast cancer were analyzed, with a mean age of $53.4{\pm}12.2$ years. Median Ki67 positivity was 20% and Ki67-high tumors were significantly associated with high grade (p<0.001), lymphovascular invasion (p=0.001), estrogen receptor (ER) negativity (p=0.035), Her2 positivity (p=0.001), advanced stage (p<0.001) and lymph node positivity (p<0.003). Lower Ki67 levels were significantly associated with longer median relapse-free and overall survival compared to those of higher Ki67 levels. Conclusions: High Ki67 expression is associated with ER negativity, Her2 positivity, higher grade and axillary lymph node involvement in breast cancers. The level of Ki67 expression is a prognostic factor predicting relapse-free and overall survival in breast cancer patients.

Background: Hepatitis B is an important public health problem as one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. The aim of this study was to compare the theoretical and practical knowledge levels of dental assistant students about Hepatitis B Virus. Methods: The 1st and 2nd grade students of the Oral and Dental Health program were invited to participate in the survey. Out of the 68 invited students, 61 completed the questionnaire. The average ages of the male and female students surveyed were 20.27±1.45 and 19.56±1.16, respectively. A total of 34 questions were asked, of which 15 measured basic theoretical knowledge and 19 assessed basic practical knowledge. Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the students' knowledge for each question according to their sex and grade. When the questionnaire was grouped into basic theoretical and basic practical knowledge levels, both were observed to be high. While the lowest correct answer rate was 35.00% for the questions about practical applications, it was 31.14% for the questions measuring the level of theoretical knowledge. There was no statistically significant difference when the levels of knowledge of 1st and 2nd grade students were compared. Students answered the majority of the questions correctly, and ranged between 71% and 100%. Conclusion: Students' high level of basic theoretical knowledge can be a result of their in-class education on the fundamentals. However, their knowledge about the correct approaches in practical applications indicates the beneficial role of having well-defined criteria and prevention protocols that are required in hospitals and the effectiveness of their environmental orientations.

This study aimed to enhance creative problem solving skill by using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model which was developed based on creative problem solving approach and five essential features of inquiry. The key strategy of the CPS learning model is using real life problem situations to provide students opportunities to practice creative problem solving skill through 5 learning steps: engaging, problem exploring, solutions creating, plan executing, and concepts examining. The science content used for examining the CPS learning model was "matter and properties of matter" that consists of 3 learning units: Matter, Solution, and Acid-Base Solution. The process to assess the effectiveness of the learning model used the experimental design of the Pretest-Posttest Control-Group Design. Seventh grade-students in the experimental group learned by the CPS learning model. At the same time, students at the same grade level in the control group learned by conventional learning model. The learning models and students' prior knowledge levels were served as the independent variables. The creative problem solving skill was classified in to 4 aspects in: fluency, flexibility, originality, and reasoning. The results indicated that in all aspects, the students' mean scores of creative problem solving between students in experimental group and control group were significantly different at the .05 level. Also, the progression of students' creative problem solving skills was found highly progressed at the later instructional periods. When comparing the creative problem solving scores between groups of students with different levels of prior knowledge, the differences of their creative problem solving scores were founded at .05 level. The findings of this study confirmed that the CPS learning model is effective in enhancing the students' creative problem solving skill.
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and compare 'Game Activities' of elementary mathematics textbooks developed in the national curriculum revised in 2015, and to find suggestions to improve 'Game Activities' of the textbooks based on the results. The main results of this study are as follows. First, as for materials, various types of materials were used in 'Game Activities'. Also, more various materials were included in 2nd grade textbooks and 1st, 2nd grade teacher's guidebooks than 1st grade textbooks. Second, this study analyzed the patterns of organization. The result showed that group and pair activities accounted for the highest rate among other patterns of organizations. Textbooks should include more pattern types of organizations that teachers could use them properly according to numbers of students in classes. For the 'Game Activities', students need to understand basic concepts of the chapter first. Students with lower levels would have difficulty participating in the 'Game Activities'. Thus, there is a need to include activities for students with lower levels in teachers' guidebooks, reflecting a variety of students levels.
