The study aims to examine the impact of productivity in addition to the policy of increasing the foreign investors' ownership rate on the performance of businesses which were listed on Vietnam's stock exchange market from 2010 to 2017. With the database of 3.961 observations, the study employs a statistical method - multiple regression to estimate the relationship between labor productivity, foreign ownership as well as other firm-level characteristics and firm performance. Research findings show that increasing labor productivity and increasing foreign ownership rates help increase firm performance. In addition, except for financial leverage, variables such as liquidity and firm size have positive effects on firm performance measured by Tobin's Q. These findings have theoretical contributions and practical implications for managers, investors and government in Vietnam. Managers should pay attention to improving labor productivity through employing incentive mechanisms, building a good working environment, investing in technology, etc. in order to enhance the firm performance. Investors could utilize the labor productivity and foreign ownership indicators to select stocks of good companies for investment. For Vietnamese government, relaxing the limit of foreign ownership and accelerating the divesting of State capital in State-owned enterprises could help increase the investment scale of foreign investors and resulting in positive effects on the firm performance.
The supply rate of renewable energy has been increasing under the influence of an energy scarcity. Government has supported the use of renewable energy by government subsidies. The operation of renewable may not been operating appropriately, although increasing the use of renewable energy. We found out some problems of the operation of renewable energy and offered some improvements. This research proposes the efficient operation method for the solar thermal system, and proposed operation method was compared and evaluated with existing operation strategy after selecting one building installed solar thermal system. Recently, the interest to renewable energy has increased because of the environmental issues and energy crisis. However the utilization of the renewable energy system is low because of the use of renewable energy system and existing renewable energy system independently, although supply rate of renewable system is increasing. Especially, in the case of solar thermal system heating load is not responsible for the load of hot water supply in many cases. Therefore, suggesting efficient operation plans and evaluations of the energy consumption and efficiency of a solar thermal system is needed.
This study is one that estimates the architectural composition as well as the location of guest house of Haemi Eupseong on the basis of the analysis of modern and contemporary data related to Haemi Eupseong. It is significant that this study has presented an opinion that can become a practical basis for the historical research of the prototype of Haemi Eupseong of the late Chosun Dynasty through the analysis of modern and contemporary data that had been unsatisfactory among the fruition of studies conducted in relation to Haemi Eupseong. The outcomes achieved by this study are as follows. Firstly, it was verified that the guest house of Haemi Eupseong that has been restored is one that has different architectural composition than the prototype of the late Chosun Dynasty and is restored in a different location. Secondly, in respect of architectural composition of guest house found by the analysis of the picture, it was confirmed that the government office has one step higher than the double-wing house in the form of the roof. Thirdly, the location of the guest house of Haemi Eupseong of the late Chosun Dynasty is judged to be the periphery area where the current restored guest house is located, which is where the teachers' building of Haemi elementary school was located. Fourthly, the prospect of the guest house of Haemi Eupseong is decided to be similar direction to the current restored guest house with the greatest possibility of having the same direction with the arrangement of teachers' building of Haemi Eupseong elementary school.
Because of its physical characteristics, earthquake has a great impact on a wide area in a short time, so it needs a resilience based seismic countermeasures to restore the community function. For this reason, in this study, the seismic damages of urban buildings were assessed stochastically by virtual earthquakes using public data information and disaster management program(Ergo-EQ). A geographical map reflecting geological characteristics of the target area was created with the buildings and topographic data in Dalseo-gu, Daegu City. In addition, an integrated database including building characteristics was modified to be linked with the Ergo-EQ program. The seismic damages for the buildings were evaluated through the exceedance probability of four different damage levels. From the damage results, it can be identified not only the seismic damage of each building, but also the major factors affecting earthquake damage.

The objective of this study is to identify ways to resolve conflicts arising from building new roads or expanding existing roads by introducing negotiation techniques to the Jeju government. A case of city planning (Jungjeong-ro, Seogwipo City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province) was analyzed in this study in an aspect of negotiation. In the case, the Committee for Promoting and Vitalizing Jungjeong-ro conducted negotiations from February, 2011 to December, 2011. This study proposes ways to establish systems which resolve problems during negotiation processes and frame concepts related to negotiation in the overall administrative systems. Firstly, setting up a negotiation management team within the provincial office and supporting it fully is needed. Secondly, there should be a process in which decisions made by the negotiation team become authoritative. Thirdly, for smooth negotiation processes, it is necessary to formulate ground rules and make negotiating parties obey them thoroughly. Fourthly, a negotiation clinic team should be established at the Jeju provincial government. Fifthly, there should be a negotiation school within the framework of human resources development. Sixthly, If officials do their negotiation jobs positively, a reward system should be established to give them adequate rewards. Lastly, concept of negotiation should take root in administration in general.

Along with the change of national accounting, the importance of systematic management of assets is emphasized and the awareness that the concept termed Asset Management should be introduced to the construction field too to manage facilities. The present study is a basic study for the introduction of the concept Asset Management and proposed accounting guidelines(proposal) for public building maintenance cost that can clarify maintenance cost accounting. Existing literatures and current accounting standards were examined and the actual states of maintenance cost accounting of public buildings in A metropolitan city were examined to draw problems. For the practice guidelines(proposal), the types and contents of government office building maintenance expenditures were analyzed and items that must be treated as OPEX and CAPEX were presented. Expert interviews were conducted to verify the reliability of the items presented. The practice guidelines(proposal) were applied to the public buildings in A metropolitan city to identify situations of changes in asset values and review the effects of the practice guidelines(proposal) on increases in asset values. When applied to practices, the practice guidelines(proposal) suggested in the present study are considered to increase building asset values and provide consistent financial information to help stakeholders' decision making.
This study aims to analyze space planning of accommodations in seven closed schools involved in experiential activity programs on Jeju Island, a famous tourist destination in Korea. The results are as follows. First, 35 schools had been closed down in Jeju between 1982 and 2015. Among them, four closed schools were sold, three are currently used by the Jeju special self-government provincial office of education, and 25 are being leased by individuals, village organizations, and other entities. However, they have not been well-operated, and so strategies for the effective management or operation of these closed schools should be developed. Second, there are distinctive differences in space planning of accommodations based on the correlation between experiential activities and the types of participants. If the experiential activity participants are mainly individuals or small groups, the closed school is likely to plan double-bed accommodations and individual bathrooms rather than large group rooms. Third, in order to operate experiential activity programs, closed schools require four different spaces for experiential activities, lodging, dining, and sanitation. The largest space available in each school building is used for experiential activities, and original classrooms are still in use. According to the standard drawing of school architecture, standard classroom size since 1997 has been $7.5{\times}9$ meters, and lodging rooms have mainly been re-planned based on the module of the standard-sized classroom. School cafeterias are utilized as dinning and kitchen spaces. For sanitation purposes, original school restrooms are still used by experiential program participants, while the shower rooms are newly equipped.
The Korean government has actively accepted private investments in building expressways to improve its financial status. As of 2012, 422km of 9 private expressways are under operation, and until 2016 additional 15 are planned to be built with private investments. However, on average, each private expressway is at most 37km long, which works against economies of scale in maintenance and thus leads to inefficiencies such as traffic jams, driver inconveniences, and the increase in operating costs. To resolve these problems, the present study suggested that the maintenance and tolling system should be unified across each private operator. Unifying the operation of private expressways was expected to reduce user travel times and tolls, and save operator maintenance costs. These economic effects were expected to be tantamount to hundreds of billions of dollars. The shared toll collecting system will also reduce user's delays by removing main line tollgates. This can save another hundreds of billions of dollars by ensuring driver's convenience and safety.
International Procurement refers to the actions governments and public institutions worldwide buy goods and services. With the WTO agreement on government procurement, most procurements are realized by bidding, which accelerates the opening-up of International procurement. Today International procurement has drawn the world's attention. The scale of international procurement market has been developing fast, reaching about US$ 5.55 trillion this year, In our country, however, due to the difficulty in initial market access to local procurement, the participation in taking international procurement is quite inactive, especially when compared with our exporting scale. The UN procurement market has procurement rules that countries which make contributions to UN and developing countries are favorably treated, and non-discriminatory and public competition in bidding and the optimum purchase are kept, and so on. It has its own head office and many subsidiary agencies. Actually the international procurement market offers an international marketplace for suppliers of all tangible goods and services. Therefore, UN and international procurement markets are great significant foreign markets to our country. But our country lagges behind in international procurement as it has not reached to our monetary contribution to UN. Therefore, it's essential to stimulate our company's participations in the UN procurement market. To fulfil this purpose, first of all, this study analyzes the current status of UN procurement market and Korea's current participation status. Then it investigates the procurement information system of UN and Korea's international procurement market information system as well as assistance system. Based on the above, by studying on the actual spots of the interview investigations on the registered firms in UNPD, this thesis discloses the problems with the Korea's national information system and assistance system on UN procurement market. Finally, this study raises the efficient plan for the integrated international procurement information system & assistance system.
This study focuses on the university dormitory remodeled toward energy efficiency. The study has its purpose on deriving the aspects to be concerned for later green remodeling and enhancing the effects of green remodeling, by analyzing the changes of physical environment, changes of energy consumption amount, and needs of the residents. For this purpose, the study went through the review of project report from government office for green remodeling, field investigation of remodeling elements, and the occupancy evaluation by Focus Group Interview. FGI means interviewing small group of the residents who lived in the subjected dormitories both before and after the remodeling. As results, the elements of green remodeling in targeted dormitories were inner wall insulation, top-floor ceiling insulation, replacement of windows, installment of automatic entrance door and making transfer space connected the entrance door. As the parts of equipment system, EHP high-efficiency cooler, highly efficient radiator, upgraded LED lightings with covers, and automatic control system (only one building) were installed. Energy consumption was declined, and the satisfaction of residents was increased after the green remodeling. However, the aspects which were not improved or unsatisfying also have been detected. Therefore, the study states the suggestions each for the administrators, designers and planners, and residents to concern for enhancing the effects of green remodeling or construction of new dormitories.
