  • This paper is research result for a development of solar cell silicon ingot glowing(SCSIG) PWM converter system for 120[kW] 3[kA]. The system include 3-phase AC-DC rectifier diode converter of input voltage AC 460[V] and 60[Hz], DC-AC single phase full bridge PWM inverter of high frequency, AC-DC single-phase full wave rectifier using center-tapped of transformer for low voltage 50[V] and large current 3,000[A], carbon resistor load 0.2 [$m{\Omega}$]. PWM switching frequency for IGBT inverter control set 15KHz. The suggested researching contents are designed data sheets of power converter system, PSIM simulation, operating characteristics and analysis results of developed SCSIG system.

  • In this study, we experimented a deterioration characteristics by series arcing with 600V polyvinyl chloride insulation wire and analyzed the glowing/growing process of copper oxide, waveforms of contact voltage, current, power dissipation and carbonized patterns of insulation. We know that how glowing contacts and surface arcing can decompose PVC insulation and that it is possible for the subsequent series arc to ignite, and burn insulation. We expect that these results are useful for advancing the state-of-the-art in fire protection by Providing a better understanding of how electrical fires can initiate.

  • In this study, we experimented deterioration characteristics of PVC insulation wires for electrical apparatus by series arcing and analyzed the heat generation at the contacts of wires, glowing/growing process of copper oxide, waveforms of contact voltage, current, power dissipation, and so on. We found out that how glowing contacts and surface arcing can decompose PVC insulation and that subsequent series arc can lead to ignition. We expect that these results are useful for improving fire protection technology by providing a better understanding of how electrical fires can initiate.

  • In recent years, data broadcasting kas been drawing muck attention with glowing importance. In this paper, we implement a DASE middleware which is crucial for the data-ready DTV settop box. The software has been ported to a prototype system and tested with real time broadcasting streams.

Smoke Removal Effect by Water Mist Spraying (미분무수 분사의 제연효과)

  • Water mist was sprayed on small compartment areas filled with smoke that formed from two different combustibles. The water-mist injection pressure and time were varied, and changes in the light extinction coefficient were measured over time. The smoke removal effect was analyzed with a light sensing smoke meter in different experimental conditions. Using the meter, the changes in smoke density were converted to changes in DC voltage over time to obtain the changes in the light extinction coefficient. The water mist was more effective in eliminating the smoke formed from glowing compared to flaming combustion. The smoke removal effect was significantly better with greater injection pressure and injection time.

Image Analysis of Color in Clothes Style (의복스타일별 색채에 대한 이미지 분석)

  • This research investigates the influence of color as an important factor of the visual image created by clothes. First, the factor analysis of the adjectives describing the images of clothes shows that the images of clothes are classified into 4 factors that include attraction, brightness, femininity, and the figure type (of which the attraction factor and brightness factor were found to be important dimensions). Second, as for the images of feminine style clothes colors, violet appears more refined and attractive than other colors in all 3 tones. Red appears as a brilliant and glowing image in a vivid tone. Yellow in a vivid tone and pale tone, and red in deep tone appear as a warm image, while blue appears as a cold image in all 3 tones. Blue and violet appear as a tall and slim image in all 3 tones. As for the images of mannish style clothes colors, yellow in vivid tone, violet in pale tone and red in deep tone appear as the most refined and attractive image, while green in all the tones appears as a rustic and unattractive image. Red in vivid tone, yellow in pale tone and violet in deep tone appear as a very brilliant and glowing image. Red in pale tone and deep tone appear as a warm and feminine image. Third, yellow in all the tones is evaluated to be attractive in the mannish style in the comparison of the image of feminine and mannish style clothes color, while blue in a pale tone in feminine style and in deep tone in mannish style earned high points. Red and violet did not show any significant differences between the two styles.

The companies also realize that the introduction of e-SCM is not an easy undertaking, and it faces a lot of difficult obstacles. Incidence of Bordetella bronchiseptica Infection in Youngnam Swine Herds and the Biochemical Properties of the Organisms Recovered from Pigs with Atrophic Rhinitis (영남지방 돼지의 Bordetella bronchiseptica 감염상황 및 분리균의 생화학적 특성)

  • The present study was conducted to investigate the Bordetella bronchiseptica infection in Youngnam swine herds during the period from August 1986 to July 1987 and some properties of the organisms isolated from these Korean swine. B. bronchiseptica was recovered from 25 of 70 (35.7%) glowing pigs of 4 to 10 weeks of age and from 12 of 13 (92.3%) herds. From 115 slaughter pigs, 58(50.4%) pigs were culture positive and the pigs from 13 of 14 (92.9%) herds were found to be infected with B. bronchiseptica. The majority of biochemical and cultural properties of B. bronchiseptica isolated from Korean swine were identical to those of the standard strain employed and some 97.6% of the isolates showed the characters of phase I organism on primary isolation.

  • Light railway system has many characteristics of better accessibility, frequency service, low construction cost, reduced air pollution and medium capacity public transport etc. Light railway system as a urban transportation system has been glowing worldwide since the late 20th century. More than 300 cities around the world have light railway systems. Many medium-size cities in domestic site is planning the construction of light railway. This paper reviews the domestic and foreign light railway system.
