Recently, Energy savings in buildings has received much attention in response to the increased needs for global warming and better comforts of the occupants in apartment housing. This study proposes the method which uses the sun control window film to reduce the cooling load and heating load improving the thermal performance of the building and it improves an energy efficiency. The film which used in actual measurement has a low shading coefficient and a solar energy transmission. so we measured the surface temperature of the triple Low-e glazing system used and inside temperature according to the change of outside temperature and solar energy to study thermal performance evaluation. As a result, it was helpful to use window film insulation to reduce inside temperature in summer and to keep room warm in winter.

Altruistic virtuous caring, possibly originated from religion and/or spirituality, is indispensable for holistic health through channeling vital energy with diet, exercise and meditation. This is a participant-observed medical anthropological research of a first generation Korean elderly immigrant health professional woman living in a four generational family. She had hypertension and was concerned about possible attack of stroke. Multi-religious, spiritual, and cosmological vital energy based on holistic Nature-oriented health beliefs and practices influenced by psychosocial, cultural and economic background, education, self- discipline and self-cultivation of individual, and group or family may create health. Self-care beliefs based on confidence in self-control of one's life style for oneself and others influence individual and group health practice. The holistic alternative health beliefs and practices were proved to be efficacious and beneficial by her self-evaluation, evaluation of significant others, biomedical professionals, and laboratory tests. That may have potential application for global health.

This study investigated the quality characteristics of melon jam with RSM. The melon jam was prepared with 50~65% sugar, 0.5~2.0% pectin, and 0.1~0.5% citric acid. Sugar and pectin caused the increase in sweetness, Hunter's colorimetric characteristics (a, b), and firmness. Citric acid caused decrease in pH, sweetness, firmness. Sensory evaluation results showed that preferences for the melon jam increased as sugar, pectin, and citric acid approached their optimum values and then decreased as they exceeded optimum levels. Consequently, the proposed optimum levels in the ingredient formulation for manufacture of the standard melon jam were 59.0% sugar, 1.4% pectin, and 14.9% citric acid, as based on both numerical and graphic statistical analyses. Ultimately, this study was expected to contribute to the commercialization of melon jams of high quality.

Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) has become widely accepted for the planarization of multi-interconnect structures in semiconductor manufacturing. However, perfect planarization is not so easily ahieved because it depends on the pattern sensitivity, the large number of controllable process parameters, and the absence of a reliable process model, etc. In this paper, we realized the planarization of deposited oxide layers followed by metal (W) polishing as a replacement for tungsten etch-back process for via formation. Atomic force microscope (AFM) is used for the evaluation of pattern topography during CMP. As a result, AFM evaluation is very attractive compared to conventional methods for the measurment of planarity. mOreover, it will contribute to analyze planarization characteristics and establish CMP model.

Evaluation of fatigue strength considering the springing effect of very large container ships is crucial in the design stage. In this study, we established a fatigue strength evaluation method considering a linear springing component in the frequency domain. Based on a three-dimensional global model, a fluid-structure interaction analysis was performed and the modal superposition method was applied to determine the hot spot stress at the hatch corner of very large container ships. Fatigue damage was directly estimated using the stress transfer function with a linear springing response. Furthermore, we proposed a new methodology to apply the springing effect to fatigue damage using hull girder loads. Subsequently, we estimated the fatigue damage contribution due to linear springing components along the ship length. Finally, we discussed the practical application of the proposed methods.

The purpose of this study was to make marketing strategies for Korean fashion companies that wish to enter into foreign markets. In-depth-interviews along with documentary research were performed on consumers who lived in Italy. The interviews were executed from May to December 2010. The results of research were as follows. The general image of Korea was at a high level. Therefore, the general and economical image of Korea had a significant impact on product evaluation. However, the Italian consumer had only a little understanding about the Korean fashion brand and product. This was so because the Korean fashion companies did not appear in the Italian fashion market. However, they were accustomed to using products of Samsung and LG. Therefore, the economical image of Korea is necessary to facilitate the official entrance of fashion companies in the Italian market as well as the global market.

This paper intends to develop an performance evaluation framework of e-trade. The Korea e-trade has been largely attracting many research communities because it brings about e-trade platform which is happening at the early stage of information system maturity. It is true that many research works have been focusing on development issues in e-trade but not much works have been done in e-trade performance study. This paper suggests an e-trade performance framework based on both field and literatures surveys. In addition, an factor analysis model has been introduced to determine that the suggested factors are empirically supporting the hypotheses in the model. Since this paper is opening up many research issues in e-trade performance study many research group could participate in this research area.

Many countries have made their best to protect the earth from global warming and to find solutions for the reduction of carbon dioxide emittion and energy consumption. Especially, buildings have emitted over 40% of carbon dioxide against whole quantities emitted to the earth. Therefore, the reduction of carbon dioxide emitted from buildings require to save the earth environment. Energy consumption of buildings in Korea has reached 24% of total energy quantities, and energy consumption of collective housing has been continuously increasing. So, Korea government has also executed the Green Building Certification Criteria(GBCC). The GBCC evaluates the 8 types of buildings - collective housing, office, school, etc - to certificate the green building. In this paper, the evaluation items of collective housing in GBCC were reviewed to be used as the reference data for future revisions by the case studies. According to the results of this study, current version of GBCC requires additional revisions about the evaluations of energy consumption monitoring, commissioning and existing building.

Currently, container transport services play a substantial role in global cargo transportation, by serving as an intermodal between exporter and importer. Container shipping has become increasingly important over the past few decades, due to obvious advantages. However, Vietnam's container market has shown severely ongoing competition among numerous domestic and foreign shipping lines, resulting in serious consequences occurring such as freight rates substantially decreasing within the last 10 years. Vietnam's sea lanes have become more defensive, to cover losses of shipping companies. Selection of criteria for competitive evaluation of container transport companies is necessary, to facilitate addressing the problems within the enterprise, especially relating to its position in the market and from here, business management can implement strategic plans and reasonable policy, to survive and grow.

Many firms are efficiently applying smart business technology and smart business model to their management activities in order to raise their business results in a smart business environment. Firm's smart business capability is very crucial for the efficient execution of its management activities and to improve the performance of business tasks in a global business environment. An evaluation framework is necessary for effectively evaluating a firm's smart business capability to manage and improve its smart business capability in a total smart business perspective. We generated the first 21-item based on previous literature. This research found an 11-item framework that can efficiently evaluate an enterprise smart business capability by verifying based on previous studies. This framework can be used for effectively evaluating a firm's smart business capability in a comprehensive perspective.
