The Study of environment monitoring through huge network of wireless sensor node is worked with activity. The sensor nodes must be very small, light and low cost. The localization which may determine where a given node is physically located in a network is one of the quite important problems for wireless sensor network. But simple localization method is required as excluding the usage of GPS(Global Positioning System) by the limit condition such as the node size, costs, and so on. In this paper, very simple method using connectivity for the outdoor RF communication environment is proposed. The proposed method is demonstrated through simulation.
Intensive Monitoring Survey of Nearby Galaxies (IMSNG) has been managed over 6 years. It aimed to constrain the progenitor system and explosion mechanism of SNe by detection of very early signal from shock heated emission. We have conducted monitoring observation of nearby bright galaxies those were carefully selected using global network of 1-m class telescopes. More than 20 SNe have occured in our target fields. As One of result of the survey, we present light curve analysis of type Ia SN 2018kp, which was discovered in NGC 3367. Based on photometric analysis, we calculated explosion parameters and set constraints of physical conditions of this supernova. We compared the results with theoretical model progenitor systems to find out which scenario is the most fitted to SN 2018kp case. Moreover, we estimate the distance to the galaxy and look into the relation between SNe and galactic physical parameters.
This paper introduces a technology for robust and low maintenance cost sensor network capable to detect accelerations below a micro-g in a wide frequency bandwidth (above 1,000 Hz). Sensor networks with such performance are critical for navigation, seismology, acoustic sensing, and for the health monitoring of civil structures. The approach is based on the fabrication of an array of high sensitivity accelerometers, each utilizing Fabry-Perot cavity with wavelength-dependent reflectivity to allow embedded optical detection and serialization. The unique feature of the approach is that no local power source is required for each individual sensor. Instead one global light source is used, providing an input optical signal which propagates through an optical fiber network from sensor-to-sensor. The information from each sensor is embedded onto the transmitted light as an intrinsic wavelength division multiplexed signal. This optical "rainbow" of data is then assessed providing real-time sensing information from each sensor node in the network. This paper introduces the Fabry-Perot based accelerometer and examines its critical features, including the effects of imperfections and resolution estimates. It then presents serialization techniques for the creation of systems of arrayed sensors and examines the effects of serialization on sensor response. Finally, a fabrication process is proposed to create test structures for the critical components of the device, which are dynamically characterized.
The Spatial information research institute of the LX Korea land and geospatial informatix corporation manages infrastructure for the LX global navigation satellite system (GNSS), which comprises 30 monitoring stations nationwide. Since 2014, it has conducted network real-time kinematic (RTK) tests using the master-auxiliary concept (MAC). This study introduces the infrastructure of LX GNSS and presents the results of a performance analysis of the LX RTK service. The analysis was based on a total of 25 cadastral topographic control points in Jeonju, Seoul, and Incheon. For each point, performance was measured over one observation, two repeated observations, and five repeated observations. The measurements obtained from LX MAC and the VRS of the National Geographic Information Institute were compared with the announced coordinates derived from cadastral topographic control points. As a result, the two systems were found to have similar performance with average error and standard deviation differing only by 1 to 2 cm.
The importance of the GPS is becoming larger and larger since it is one of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems and is regarded as a national infrastructure in the field positioning and timing Nowadays many researches avoiding and/or minimizing economic loss caused by unexpected fault of the GPS are being carried out because GPS fault can give a large impact on social security system as well as economic system NDGPS network which has been authorized by the Ministry of Marine and Fisheries provides services for marine users and evolved into a national infrastructure for GNSS users. Many researchers and engineers are doing research work in order to apply the NDGPS network to other fields. From this trend, it can be expected that the integrity and related functions for the NDGPS users will become more important than before. This paper analyzes integrity informations about the real GNSS fault and proposes method on integrity monitoring improvement of the DGPS reference station.

Although underground water resource has relatively less pollution rate compared with surface water, its recovery faces many difficulties due to poor management. Our country monitors underground water to manage it effectively through auxiliary observation network for underground water. In this paper, we suggest water-well auto measure system based on Geosensor for business efficiency increase of water-well management and realtime monitering. In this system is consist of user GUI(Graphic User Interface) composed with water-well information and movement sub-observation network prototype system composed with GPS(Global Positioning System) and wireless sensor node such as water temperature, water level, electrical conductivity. In this system is using the light of the sun for self-power, variety water-well information collected wireless sensor node was a wireless transmitting/receiving a using CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) module. Also, for promote with user ease, user GUI express that water-well collected in GIS(Geographic Information System) map. For performance evaluation of the proposed system, we perform experiment using sensing information through designed sub-observation network. And we was proved superiority of the proposed system through qualitative evaluation with other paper.

Ecosystem observatories are burgeoning globally in an endeavour to detect national and global scale trends in the state of biodiversity and ecosystems in an era of rapid environmental change. In this paper we highlight the additional importance of regional scale outcomes of such infrastructure, through an introduction to the Great Western Woodlands TERN (Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network) SuperSite, and key findings from three gradient plot networks that are part of this infrastructure. The SuperSite was established in 2012 in the 160,000 km2 Great Western Woodlands region, in a collaboration involving 12 organisations. This region is globally significant for its largely intact, diverse landscapes, including the world's largest Mediterranean-climate woodlands and highly diverse sandplain shrublands. The dominant woodland eucalypts are fire-sensitive, requiring hundreds of years to regrow after fire. Old-growth woodlands are highly valued by Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, and managing impacts of climate change and the increasing extent of intense fires are key regional management challenges. Like other TERN SuperSites, the Great Western Woodlands TERN SuperSite includes a core eddy-covariance flux tower measuring exchanges of carbon, water and energy between the vegetation and atmosphere, along with additional environmental and biodiversity monitoring around the tower. The broader SuperSite incorporates three gradient plot networks. Two of these represent aridity gradients, in sandplains and woodlands, informing regional climate adaptation and biodiversity management by characterising biodiversity turnover along spatial climate gradients and acting as sentinels for ecosystem change over time. For example, the sandplains transect has demonstrated extremely high spatial turnover rates in plant species, that challenge traditional approaches to biodiversity conservation. The third gradient plot network represents a 400-year fire-age gradient in Eucalyptus salubris woodlands. It has enabled characterisation of post-fire recovery of vegetation, birds and invertebrates over multi-century timeframes, and provided tools that are directly informing management to reduce stand-replacing fires in eucalypt woodlands. By building regional partnerships and applying globally or nationally consistent methodologies to regional scale questions, ecological observatories have the power not only to detect national and global scale trends in biodiversity and ecosystems, but to directly inform environmental decisions that are critical at regional scales.
We analyzed diurnal variations in the surface air temperature using the high density urban climate observation network in Daegu metropolitan city, the representative basin-type city in Korea, in summer, 2013. We used a total of 28 air temperature observation points data(16 thermometers and 12 AWSs). From the distribution of monthly average air temperature, air temperature at the center of Daegu was higher than the suburbs. Also, the days of daily minimum air temperature more than or equal to $25^{\circ}C$ and daily maximum air temperature more than or equal to $35^{\circ}C$ at the schools near the center of Daegu was more than those at other schools. This tendency appeared more clearly on the days of daily minimum air temperature more than or equal to $25^{\circ}C$. Also, the air temperature near the center of the city was higher than that of the suburbs in the early morning. Thus it was indicated that the air temperature was hard to decrease as the bottom of the basin. From these results, the influence of urbanization to the formation of the daily minimum temperature in Daegu was indicated.
Tropical Atmosphere Ocean/Triangle Trans-Ocean Buoy Network (TAO/TRITON) Array is the series of buoys for the international ocean research project, which is mostly supported by National Ocean and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) and Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). We can determine the effect of the equatorial and Pacific Ocean conditions on global climate change from buoy array measurement data. The TAO/TRITON array comprises around 70 measurement buoys from $10^{\circ}$ north to $10^{\circ}$ south in the tropics and between Galpagos and New Guinea. NOAA maintains ATLAS buoys in the central and eastern Pacific between $165^{\circ}E$ and $95^{\circ}W$, and JAMSTEC maintains the 12 buoys in the western Pacific along $137^{\circ}E$, $147^{\circ}E$, and $156^{\circ}E$. The KA-10-03 cruise excursion provided us with a good opportunity to obtain knowledge on oceanic buoy operation and maintenance. Further, we learned advanced techniques and know-how on buoy operation and maintenance. Once we are confident with our buoy management and maintenance techniques, both KORDI and NOAA technicians may be able to help each other when needed and share available resources.

Recently, climate change causes climatic anomaly such as global warming, the typhoon and severe rain storm etc. and it brings damage frequently. Climate change and global warming are prevalent all over the world in this century and many researchers including hydrologists have studied on the climate change. In this study, Seonakdong river watershed in the Nakdong river basin was selected as a study area. Real-time monitoring system was used to draw the rating curves, which has 0.78 to 0.96 of $R^2$. To predict runoff change in Seonakdong river watershed caused by climate change, the change in hydrologic runoff were predicted using the watershed model, SWAT. As a result, the runoff from the Seonakdong river watershed was increased by up to 45 % in summer. Because of the non-point sources from the farmland and the urban area, the water quality will be affected by the climate change. In this study, the operating plan of the water gates in Seonakdong river will be suggested by considering the characteristics of the watershed runoff due to the climate change. The optimal watergate opening plan will solve the water pollution problems in the reservoir-like river.
